 United Provinces of Central Italy 1859–1860 Modena Italy A client state of the Kingdom of Piedmont-Sardinia. It was formed as a union of the pro-Piedmontese governments of the Grand Duchy of Tuscany, the Duchy of Parma, the Duchy of Modena and the Papal Legations after the Second Italian War of Independence.
