Góngora

edit

Hello, about this Góngora thing. The problem is not necessarily that other persons may bear that name as well, but the question is whether they are referred to as Góngora. I must admit I don't know the poet, but when I run an internet search on Góngora, the vast majority of results are related to the poet and not any other person. In Wikipedia terms that would be called the primary topic, if you are familiar with the concept. That's also the way it was set up before you modified the page. Do you therefore have anything substantial which could motivate a change of primary topic? If you do, I would suggest we revert the name to its original redirect, and file a WP:RM request so that other editors could judge if a change of primary topic is appropriate. I see from this edit that these matters have not yet been addressed. The exposed pipe character is causing problems, for example with the RfC listing pages - where this addition is only partially displayed. I have partially fixed your posts in that thread, with the effect that the RfC is now listed properly - but I would be grateful if you would fix your signature so that such problems do not occur gong forward. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 21:08, 12 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of File:Region de los Rios2.PNG

edit

The file File:Region de los Rios2.PNG has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

unused, low-res, no obvious use

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:01, 30 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

You are edit warring to keep reliably sourced information hidden in a footnote. This is inappropriate. Please self-revert. Simonm223 (talk) 14:45, 9 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Conspiracy theories about Adolf Hitler's death; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing.

Speedy deletion nomination of Category:Mapuche artists

A tag has been placed on Category:Mapuche artists requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". September 2019

edit

Your recent editing history at Conspiracy theories about Adolf Hitler's death shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

C'mon, now; you've been around for many years, and you should know better. Please stop insisting on your PoV at Conspiracy theories about Adolf Hitler's death, observe WP:BRD, and talk it out on the Talk page. Thaks, Mathglot (talk) 10:41, 12 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

WP:BRD is not working because users who oppose my edits are not caring about reading what is actually said and are missproying me as a promoter of constiracy theories. Being "around for many years" means that I also know when one's well-intended edits are dismissed on poor grounds. I mean users who does even take their time to read what one's comments. Proposed deletion of Nicolás Larraín

edit

The article Nicolás Larraín has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No indication this biography is passing WP:NBIO.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. My disruptive behaviour?

edit

Have you been paying attention to the article or are you seeing t he red alert and reacting? An anon has sourced the content and so you should be aware that you are now fighting against sources and WP:CONSENSUS. That is the definition of disruptive behaviour. Walter Görlitz (talk) 01:35, 26 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

That key content need to be clearly sourced with reliable sources is not up for "consensus". So far you have failed to provide a rationale on why the origins of mate mentioned in the infobox should not be clearly sourced with WP:RS. If you insist with disruptive behaviour that is contrary to Wikipedia policy, and in fact fact reminiscent of WP:OWN, I will report you. Dentren | Talk 01:46, 26 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
I'd love to see you make that point in an ANI (or similar) discussion. You'd be laughed at. and speaking of OWN... don't be so quick to claim that of others when you're clearly showing that behaviour yourself. I am a caretaker and when editors like you come along I correct them. I'm fin to continue this discussion in the correct venue though. Feel free to report me and be prepared for a very large WP:BOOMERANG. Walter Görlitz (talk) 01:57, 26 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree.

Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. --Tuvixer (talk) 09:27, 17 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. --Tuvixer (talk) 09:33, 24 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Bedivere. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Izkia Siches seemed less than neutral and has been removed. If you think this was a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. This is like the third time we encounter while you're trying to make non neutral changes. I will have to report you at ANI if you continue to so so. Bedivere (talk) 16:13, 18 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to violate Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy by adding commentary and your personal analysis into articles, as you did at Izkia Siches, you may be blocked from editing. Bedivere (talk) 16:19, 18 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

Death flights

edit

"(Undid revision 1104627365 by Citizen127 (talk)-not evidently unencyclopedic, discuss in talk first)" I did, you ignored it: "The section titled "Extraordinary rendition" is clearly a political editorial designed to discredit the US. The source is a political editorial written by one man not "scholars." This exaggeration appears to be intended to make the source seem more credible. The use of the term "US-led" here is political spin. There is no logical reason why a Wikipedia article about death flights should have a section on extraordinary rendition. Someone with a grudge against the US is trying to conflate the two for political reasons. Citizen127" Why would anyone deliberately ignore all that in this forum? I have blocked you indefinitely because it is clear that you are refusing to get the point and change your conduct, despite a unanimous consensus in the ANI thread that you started that it is problematic. You have returned from a three-month block to continue the same dispute so it is clear that a temporary block would not be sufficient. You can appeal this block by posting {{unblock|your reason here}} and it will be reviewed by another uninvolved admin. I would suggest you read the guide to appealing blocks first, then compare your conduct to our behavioural policies. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 13:10, 11 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

I find it utterly detrimental that block in "political" NPOV disputes repeatedly goes only the way. It is therefore I have sought to discuss and evaluate of if user:Daniel Case have acted correctly. Administrators should be able to be held accountable. It think User:HJ Mitchell has acted wrongly by permanently banning me and attempting to suppress the discussion. HJ Mitchell accuses me of "refusing to get the point", yet I have not been involved in any edit war since being unblocked. I do have gotten the point. It seems to me rather that User:HJ Mitchell found me annoying and argumentative since I rebuffed his narrative about bias in the Vallejo article [2]. That I have just sought to accuse the apparent bias in warnings and bans. Again, suppressing discussion is not the way. The Danial_Case case was first time I sought to challenge a block. Dentren | Talk 16:47, 11 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Come on, Dentren. The first you did after being unblocked was reinstating a "neutrality" tag on the Gabriel Boric article just because (as it reads from your talk page post) it is kind of outdated or it does not reflect some recent political controversies. Not only the tag is unwarranted, it is obvious you only intend to force your point of view onto articles and onto others. HJ has acted correctly. --Bedivere (talk) 17:39, 11 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Cine Club

Notability not established with substantive sources

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist.
