editPlace requests for new or upgrading pending changes, semi-protection, full protection, move protection, create protection, template editor protection, or upload protection at the BOTTOM of this section. Temporary semi-protection: Persistent vandalism – Recent persistent vandalism (same edits) from similar IPs (IP hopping; continued today even after some ranges were blocked yesterday). Felida97 (talk) 12:53, 13 September 2024 (UTC)
- Side note: An even larger range, 2003:EE:9F00:0:0:0:0:0/42, was blocked today (after this request was made) but, to be safe, a bit of page protection would probably be a good idea, considering that the multiple previous range blocks (all of which were active when the edits today were made) didn't hinder them enough and the changes frequently include redirects, which obv have quite the drastic impact if the changes go unnoticed even for a short amount of time. Reason: Not necessarily vandalism but an almost certain case of WP:LOUTSOCK at work that has been disruptive in previous IP edits (e.g., https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/51.6.193.169); adding massive amounts of unsourced text. Biohistorian15 (talk) 20:03, 13 September 2024 (UTC)

Current requests for reduction in protection level
editBefore posting, first discuss with the protecting admin at their talk page. Post below only if you receive no reply.
- To find out the username of the admin who protected the page click on "history" at the top of the page, then click on "View logs for this page" which is under the title of the page. The protecting admin is the username in blue before the words "protected", "changed protection level" or "pending changes". If there are a number of entries on the log page, you might find it easier to select "Protection log" or "Pending changes log" from the dropdown menu in the blue box.
- Requests to downgrade full protection to template protection on templates and modules can be directed straight here; you do not need to ask the protecting admin first.
- Requests for removing create protection on redlinked articles are generally assisted by having a draft version of the intended article prepared beforehand.
- If you want to make spelling corrections or add uncontroversial information to a protected page please add {{Edit fully-protected}} to the article's talk page, along with an explanation of what you want to add to the page. If the talk page is protected please use the section below.
Current requests for edits to a protected page
editPlease request an edit directly on the protected page's talk page before posting here
Ideally, requests should be made on the article talk page rather than here.
- Unless the talk page itself is protected, you may instead add the appropriate template among
{{Edit protected}}
,{{Edit template-protected}}
,{{Edit extended-protected}}
, or{{Edit semi-protected}}
to the article's talk page if you would like to make a change rather than requesting it here. Doing so will automatically place the page in the appropriate category for the request to be reviewed. - Where requests are made due to the editor having a conflict of interest (COI; see Wikipedia:Suggestions for COI compliance), the
{{Edit COI}}
template should be used. - Requests to move move-protected pages should be made at Wikipedia:Requested moves, not here.
- If the discussion page and the article are both protected preventing you from making an edit request, this page is the right place to make that request. Please see the top of this page for instructions on how to post requests.
- This page is not for continuing or starting discussions regarding content should both an article and its discussion page be protected. Please make a request only if you have a specific edit you wish to make.
I suggest adding to 'War Crimes' a section about the Sde Teiman detention camp. The use of concentration/torture camps is a very notable war crime and an important fact as it pertains to the ceasefire negotiations regarding hostage swaps. It is also relevant as many have been taken from Gaza and are being tortured under pretext of "interrogation." Jdftba (talk) 08:36, 9 September 2024 (UTC)
Under "casaulties and losses" Under "Syria" Add these events: https://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/israel-carries-intense-strikes-central-syria-killing-4-113503912 https://apnews.com/article/israel-syria-strikes-hama-iran-hezbollah-916f12c8f1fae066439733c2c0ba9980 Adjust total death toll accordingly. Created 407 articles, and only 2 were deleted—1 was soft deleted earlier in 2022, and the latest one was deleted per WP:A10, which is not a major issue. 99.5% or 405 of his articles are still live. Requesting autopatrolled rights to help with the backlog I create when making articles related to major sporting events mainly covering athletics but sometimes also cycling and swimming. The articles I create are/will be individual sports results pages connected to large sports events like the Olympics/Paralympics/Summer University games/World Championships etc. I've had no issues with the articles I have created and they are normally reviewed very quickly however when a competition can have 20-40 events meaning 20-40 pages this small amount of time to review could be saved if I had autopatrolled. I have over 90,000 edits since 2008, over 5,000 pages created, clean log, no ANI reports or significant controversies etc. I was going to put a request at WP:RM/TR when I realised I am probably experienced enough to request and use page mover rights without the risk of making mistakes. I do not plan to close WP:RM, except if I stumble on them and they are really clear-cut cases, and would basically just use moving rights to make non-controversial moves. --Cavarrone 09:25, 11 September 2024 (UTC)

Heyo, I'm writing to request the Pending Change Reviewer permission. I'm well versed in the use of tools such as RCPatrol and after reading Wikipedia:Reviewing_pending_changes I believe I'd be a good fit for the Pending changes reviewer permission. Thanks for your consideration, Mark MarkRosenbaum (talk) 21:49, 8 September 2024 (UTC)
- Heyo, Just wanted to add that I was recently granted the rollback permission. MarkRosenbaum (talk) 17:38, 10 September 2024 (UTC)

I would like to be able to help with the backlogs present in this area, and feel that I have enough experience to help out. I feel that my track record in this general area is quite good. Thanks, Kingsmasher678 (talk) 19:59, 9 September 2024 (UTC)

Hello hello, I have been a Wikipedian for well over 4 months now, and I feel that I have learned a great many things about the site in terms of editing, content, policies, and conduct that I could have never imagined beforehand. If given this right, I humbly commit to using it to the utmost competent and fair / legitimate nature that I possibly can. Thank you Aliy Dawut (talk) 02:52, 13 September 2024 (UTC)

I have a nine or so months of experience on Wikipedia now. If you check my editing history, you will also see my experience at fighting vandalism. I think it would be very useful to have the rollback tool. Thanks. Note that I am also a pending changes reviewer. TheWikiToby (talk) 19:54, 11 September 2024 (UTC)
- Not done I noticed you started actively reverting vandalism a little over a week ago. While I appreciate your enthusiasm, I'd like to see you spend more time gaining experience fighting vandalism before assigning you advanced permissions. Keep up the good work, and consider reapplying in a month. Also, please ensure that you are consistently warning editors when you revert their edits (I recommend using tools such as Twinkle or Ultraviolet which makes this extremely easy). Thanks, Fastily 21:15, 11 September 2024 (UTC)
