- On hold pending possible speedy close of that MfD -- and testing of this will be needed to make sure we don't break the interface. — xaosflux Talk 13:40, 14 April 2021 (UTC)
- Not done even though I've now !voted in the MfD it is now SNOWing keep, even by the nominator - and I'm not risking breaking this message for this tag. — xaosflux Talk 00:41, 16 April 2021 (UTC)

editThis edit request to MediaWiki:Editinginterface and Template:Editnotices/Namespace/MediaWiki has been answered. Set the |answered= or |ans= parameter to no to reactivate your request. |
Please add the following template to MediaWiki:Editinginterface: {{editing interface}} and remove the identical warning on Template:Editnotices/Namespace/MediaWiki. The MediaWiki software provides its own styling for that message that makes it much more prominent.
Failing that, please add that template to Template:Editnotices/Namespace/MediaWiki instead. I added detection of the kind of MediaWiki page through a new overly simple module, and on css, javascript, and json pages it will give a different level of warning. Awesome Aasim 20:14, 22 August 2024 (UTC)
- This feels like yet another proposal to make everything more complicated for no clear motivation. What is the actual problem being solved here? Admins and especially interface admins can be assumed to know what they are doing and not need every subtlety pointed out to them. And Module:Title is a duplicate of the pre-existing Module:Page. * Pppery * it has begun... 03:59, 23 August 2024 (UTC)
- Welp - I merged because I forgot Module:Page existed. Anyway, it might still be helpful and would render a lot of the CSS and JS editnotices that we have in MediaWiki namespace obsolete. Awesome Aasim 15:17, 23 August 2024 (UTC)
- Not done for now: please establish a consensus for this alteration before using the
{{Edit protected}}
template. Izno (talk) 00:29, 29 September 2024 (UTC)
