Bill AdlerEdit

Fastily,

I just stumbled on your notice that my draft of an article about the French photographer Sophie Bramly was deleted because it had been "abandoned." That doesn't reflect my understanding of events. I wrote the piece in good faith, waited for months for some news about whether or not it had been accepted, and then wrote an inquiry about its status. As best as I can tell, I never received a reply. And now, all of a sudden, the piece has been deleted. If indeed there was a request for revisions, it never appeared on my Submissions page. If you have access to any of the messages that were purportedly sent to me prior to your decision to delete my submission, would you kindly direct me to them? I have not abandoned the piece.

Thanks, illbadlerIllbadler (talk) 14:02, 22 September 2020 (UTC)

Hi Illbadler. You never submitted Draft:Sophie Bramly for review; this is done by adding the text {{subst:submit}} anywhere on the page in question. I've restored the page for you, but please be advised that if you don't touch it for another 6 months, it will be deleted again. -FASTILY 21:19, 22 September 2020 (UTC)

Fasily, Thanks for your advice. I believe I've now correctly submitted the draft of the Sophie Bramly article for review. Would you kindly confirm that for me?

Thanks again, — Preceding unsigned comment added by Illbadler (talkcontribs) 13:35, 25 September 2020 (UTC)

Yes, looks good to me. Regards, FASTILY 21:21, 25 September 2020 (UTC)

Deletion of Draft:Kim Sa-i (Poet)Edit

Could you restore it? See Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Korea#A_lot_of_drafts_to_tweak_and_publish. I have a feeling most if not all of those are notable and should be moved to mainspace, with any deletion dealt by through AfD. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 03:46, 22 September 2020 (UTC)

Hi Piotrus,   Done – as a draft or Articles for creation submission deleted under CSD G13, the page has been restored upon request. Drafts and Articles for creation are not for the indefinite hosting of material found to be unsuitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia. -FASTILY 06:45, 22 September 2020 (UTC)

Discussion at WP:THQ § Fair Use Image & Deletion RequestEdit

You are invited to join the discussion at WP:THQ § Fair Use Image & Deletion Request. -- Marchjuly (talk) 09:54, 22 September 2020 (UTC)

Hi Fastily. Since you're the one who started the DR about this Commons file, perhaps you can clarify why to the uploader. I don't think this person realizes that Commons and Wikipedia are different projects and I also don't think they understand c:COM:FAIR. It's possible that all that's need here is OTRS verification, but I'm not sure what the uploader's relationship is to Litman. There seems to be at least an WP:APPARENTCOI, but it could just be a fan who asked for a photo for Wikipedia. -- Marchjuly (talk) 09:58, 22 September 2020 (UTC)
You can ignore this is you want. The account who uploaded the file and the account who asked the question at the Teahouse are not the same. It was quite silly for me not to notice such a thing and I apologize if I caused some confusion. -- Marchjuly (talk) 14:14, 22 September 2020 (UTC)

Image undeletionEdit

Hi Fastily, long time!! Can you please address this Wikipedia:Requests for undeletion#File:Milroy Goes, September 2020.jpg OTRS undeletion request for me? Thanks ww2censor (talk) 22:16, 22 September 2020 (UTC)

Deletion of user IreneangelicoEdit

Hi Fastily,

I am a new user and just learning how to use wikipedia. You deleted my user page for misuse and I would like to make another go of it. I have studied the guidelines and examples more closely and am convinced I can meet the standards required. I would also like o revise the pages I already started.

i am able to contribute to many area including film production, Holocaust studies, mental illness, racism and prejudice, woman's studies, and more. What do I need to do to be reinstated?

Be well,

Irene

(talk page watcher) Hi Ireneangelico. Let me try to answer your question since Fastily might not be online at the moment. You don't need to be reinstated. As far as I can see, you're still considered to be an editor in good standing. You made a mistake that many editors often make by trying to add inappropriate information to your user page. As long as you avoid some of the things listed in WP:UP#NOT, you can create another user page and it should be fine. However, a user page is not a requirement for editing, and many editors have edited for years without having one. Your status as an editor will be assessed by the quality of your edits. If your edits are in accordance with relevant policies and guidelines, you'll be fine; if not, you'll find yourself having problems, perhaps rather quickly. So, just do your best to be WP:BOLD and make good edits. If you make some good faith mistakes, then that's OK. Just try to learn from your mistakes and avoid repeating them over and over again. -- Marchjuly (talk) 15:19, 26 September 2020 (UTC)
