00:28:36, 12 September 2019 review of submission by Oneonta1776Edit

Thank you for the feedback. I understand the comment to include this information in the entry on Yohanan Petrovsky Shtern. However, when I originally did that, several weeks ago, my efforts were repeatedly erased by someone who I think must be a troll of some sorts because no credible answer was given for erasing the information, which is well substantiated by independent sources. Can you help please? Yes, I'd like to enter this information in that entry for Yohanan Petrovsky Shtern. Thank you.

We have made minor tweaks in the content. Kindly please review the same. Chirag-Behre (talk) 06:26, 12 September 2019 (UTC)

@Chirag-Behre: - the article was rejected for not showing notability - just editing the content will never demonstrate it. It's only worth asking if you find at least 2 good reliable, independent, in-depth secondary sources. Nosebagbear (talk) 10:21, 12 September 2019 (UTC)

13:04:56, 12 September 2019 review of draft by Mj4841Edit

I need to address my reasons for writing a blog entry, specifically to clarify that I am unpaid. Where can I make such a statement? By the way, here's what I plan to state: "I'm a writer involved in the health insurance industry, but am not being paid for my Wiki article and I am not affiliated with or their partners. Is there somewhere I can note this formally?"

15:50:46, 12 September 2019 review of submission by LullabyingEdit

I would like to get assistance in improving this article and bringing it up to Wikipedia standards. The topic received coverage over multiple news sources and has become a (morally questionable) Internet meme similar to the Sasebo slashing. lullabying (talk) 15:50, 12 September 2019 (UTC)

lullabying (talk) 15:50, 12 September 2019 (UTC)

Hi Lullabying. Because of the nature of Articles for Creation, you are unlikely to find the assistance you desire here. You could try soliciting collaborators at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Japan and/or Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Internet culture.
The draft relies heavily on stories in Tokyo Reporter, a tabloid. Such newspapers have a poor reputation for reliability (see Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Perennial sources) and WP:TABLOID is a redirect to Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not. Editor interest in the topic may be lukewarm unless stronger sources can be found that more convincingly demonstrate that the event had a significant lasting effect. --Worldbruce (talk) 17:27, 13 September 2019 (UTC)

15:56:17, 12 September 2019 review of submission by Mjl2012Edit

Mjl2012 (talk) 15:56, 12 September 2019 (UTC) Hi, I'm just trying to understand why edits I made to a page of an author were't accepted. I got the information from the website and from reading their books and hearing them speak. The answer I received was: This topic is not sufficiently notable for inclusion in Wikipedia.

Hi Mjl2012. User:Mjl2012/sandbox is not suitable for publication as an encyclopedia article. Wikipedia already has three articles relevant to it: Ellen Fein, Sherrie Schneider, and The Rules. If the sentence in your sandbox is something you want to add to one of those articles, be bold and insert it, unless you've already tried to do so and been reverted, in which case you should discuss it on the article's talk page. Keep in mind that just because something is true, doesn't necessarily mean it belongs in an encyclopedia. --Worldbruce (talk) 15:52, 14 September 2019 (UTC)

20:53:47, 12 September 2019 review of submission by TrubadurEdit

Trubadur (talk) 20:53, 12 September 2019 (UTC) I have added a lot of reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject.

Hi Trubadur. None of the added sources:, Heavy Blog Is Heavy, Score AV, Captured Howls, and appear to be reliable for the purpose of demonstrating notability. If you think I am mistaken, you are welcome to seek advice at Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Noticeboard as to whether they are reliable for that purpose. Wikipedia:WikiProject Albums/Sources lists some sources Wikipedians have found useful in writing about albums and musicians. You could also search them, or wait until after the band's album is released, at which time more might be written about them. --Worldbruce (talk) 16:54, 13 September 2019 (UTC)

08:10:33, 13 September 2019 review of submission by Tleclair96Edit

Hi! I’m having trouble understanding why my article draft on Action Teaching is being rejected. A lot of the sources rely on extensive outside peer review (e.g., Journal of Social and Political Psychology, Monitor on Psychology - American Psychological Association’s monthly magazine) and have high visibility in terms of page views and people who know about or participate in action teaching activities (e.g., — is that not notable? I can provide data if that would be helpful. Additionally, action teaching has been funded by the National Science Foundation. The latter websites and articles by or tied to Scott Plous are primary sources, but the journals and APA, the BBC and NPR articles, are they not sufficiently reliable? He may have coined the term, but its use has grown beyond him and his creations. Thanks for your help in advance!

04:43:48, 14 September 2019 review of draft by Mercer5089Edit

What other sources do you require? This is an article listing the highways of Iron County and is sourced by a map provided by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. It is consistent with sources in other articles that list highways. Mercer5089 (talk) 04:43, 14 September 2019 (UTC)

Hi Mercer5089. There is no consensus among the editors who have been involved with the draft. Arguing that the sourcing is consistent with other lists of county roads may be true, but WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS cuts both ways. It could mean that the other lists should be deleted too if their sourcing can't be improved. The best place to ask for advice about sourcing would be Wikipedia talk:WikiProject U.S. Roads.
If you can't get help there, then you have a final option. This page was moved to draft by Imzadi1979. According to WP:DRAFTIFY, you "have a right to object to moving the page, and to have the matter discussed at WP:AfD." That's the ultimate appeal. The policy tells the patroller, "If an editor raises an objection, move the page back to mainspace and list at AfD." There it would receive a fuller discussion of whether the topic meets WP:LISTN, whether the sources are reliable and independent, and whether the content is verifiable or original research. --Worldbruce (talk) 17:58, 14 September 2019 (UTC)
Thanks, Worldbruce for your explanation, since many editors don't seem to engage in explanatory dialogue. Your explanation helps me understand why two other similar articles were moved to Draft after I created the Ashland County list page. Mercer5089 (talk) 04:12, 15 September 2019 (UTC)
Sorry, Worldbruce, for the multiple messages here - I've looked over the linked AfD and DRAFTIFY pages and I'm unsure of how to proceed. It seems like leaving it in Draft form causes the page to languish until deleted, but that putting it on AfD is something the editors should do themselves. If I'd like to put it to AfD, would they only consider the issue with independent and reliable sources, or would it open the whole concept of county-level highway lists to scrutiny? Lastly, what's the best way for me to put the page into the AfD process - do I add a tag to the body of the article? Thank you again for your explanation earlier, it's very much appreciated. Mercer5089 (talk) 04:19, 15 September 2019 (UTC)
Your assessment that draft space is where potential articles go to die is often correct. That's why it's important to reach out to Wikipedia:WikiProject U.S. Roads for advice. Imzadi1979 is an active member there. Due consideration should be given to the fact that they didn't feel the list would survive AfD, yet they felt it had potential (as evidenced by them draftifing it instead of nominating it for deletion).
AfD should be a last resort. The mechanics of going there are simple. All you would have to do is leave a note on Imzadi1979's talk page to the effect that you object to the draftification. That would oblige them to return the list to article space and either leave it there or (most likely under the circumstances) nominate it for deletion. Deletion discussions are supposed to stay on topic, but there's no guarantee that someone won't bring up other county-level highway lists, or nominate them for deletion. --Worldbruce (talk) 07:04, 15 September 2019 (UTC)

11:51:55, 14 September 2019 review of submission by Smehra2801Edit

Smehra2801 (talk) 11:51, 14 September 2019 (UTC)

@Smehra2801:, it was rejected for repeated failures to show notability - the sources are either not reliable, not sufficiently or in depth or not independent (which usually includes ruling out interviews, which is particularly applicable here).
It is also a very advertorial piece "hey also promise to provide the best bridal makeup,", "extrodinary skills"
Unless there are better sources than just editing it to fix the second problem won't be enough. It may just not (yet, at least) be suitable as an article. Nosebagbear (talk) 13:29, 15 September 2019 (UTC)

Hello, I'm an autoconfirmed and kind of skilled user from Japanese Wikipedia. I mistakenly accessed to AfC process but wish for faster review if possible, since I assume my draft meets a standard for publishing sufficiently. I acknowledge as well it may include some grammatical mistakes or run foul of WP:NEO. Thank you. -- LT sfm (talk) 14:57, 14 September 2019 (UTC)

Hi LT sfm. If you have no conflict of interest with the topic, then as an autoconfirmed user, AfC is an optional process for you, and you may write directly at Fictosexuality. If you do so, it will be patrolled by NPP (within 90 days, I believe). If they deem it a neologism they may move it to draft or nominate it for deletion. --Worldbruce (talk) 16:00, 14 September 2019 (UTC)
@Worldbruce: Thanks for your immediate response. Before or after I write it on article namespace, should I delete the draft in accordance with the WP:MFD process? --LT sfm (talk) 16:44, 14 September 2019 (UTC)
@LT sfm: You may request speedy deletion of the draft by blanking it or by replacing the {{AFC submission}} template with {{db-g7}}. (In this situation you may ignore the comment cautioning "do not remove this line".) --Worldbruce (talk) 16:54, 14 September 2019 (UTC)

16:01:34, 14 September 2019 review of submission by BpurkapleEdit

Hello. I submitted an article and it was denied due to being creative non-fiction. After re-reading the article, I understand why it may have been misconstrued in such a way and have edited to make it clearer for what it is: an article defining a movement in healthcare called Goal Oriented Care, seeking to describe clearly and succinctly its basic tenets and guidelines. Utilizing citations from medical literature, my resubmitted article defines what Goal Oriented Health Care is and outlines its basic tenets. I have edited the article and most relevantly removed the case examples as they were more descriptive in nature and did not help objectively define terms. I do believe this fits wikipedia's goal of a neutrally written summary of a well-established movement in medicine fairly and accurately. Bpurkaple (talk) 16:01, 14 September 2019 (UTC)Becky

15:12:05, 16 September 2019 review of draft by DriverSafetyEdit

Hello. I am being paid to write an article on my company for Wiki. It has been declined by one reviewer, in part, from what I understand, because he/she believes the subject of the article lacks notability. I studied the Wiki standards for notability for a corporation and prepared an analysis of why I think my submission meets these standards. By using the grid on the Wiki site for the criteria of Significance, Independence, Reliability, and Secondary sourcing, I determined that 16 of the 21 references in the article pass the test of notability for corporations, the remainder are background references that provide context for the article.

I have several questions. 1. Do I send my analysis to the reviewer who declined my article? Another reviewer advised against this. 2. Two newspaper articles that I referenced exclusively featured my company. One is behind a firewall and the other is in French. How can a reviewer determine notability if they cannot access or read the references? 3. If my COI status is an impediment to acceptance, can I give the draft article and reference material to someone in the Wiki community to write the article for me?

Your advice will be most appreciated. DriverSafety (talk) 15:12, 16 September 2019 (UTC)

Request on 15:31:29, 16 September 2019 for assistance on AfC submission by RmurenziEdit

Greetings. I created an article Jean-Paul Gazeau in March. I was informed that the article read too much like a CV. I assumed therefore that the article was rejected. In August I created a new article draft, same file name, but revised to address concerns expressed by the editors. Recently I was informed that this new draft was rejected because "the article appears to be a duplicate of another submission, Jean-Paul Gazeau, which is also waiting to be reviewed." How shall I advance with this?

  • Substitute the new text into the original document?
  • Delete the original document and resubmit the second-created document?
  • Or?

I will be most grateful for your advice. Thank you.

Rmurenzi (talk) 15:31, 16 September 2019 (UTC)

Hi Rmurenzi. In future, don't start a new page when you want to make revisions. The decline of User:Rmurenzi/sandbox/Jean-Pierre Gazeau as a duplicate of Draft:Jean-Pierre Gazeau was incorrect. That reason would apply only if Draft:Jean-Pierre Gazeau were also awaiting review, which it wasn't. Therefore the decline of the sandbox has been reverted, it is back in its place in the "queue", and will be reviewed on its merits in due course (the backlog stands at 5 months). You don't have to do anything about the old draft, it will likely be deleted shortly as stale. When that happens, it's possible that someone will move the sandbox, don't let that confuse you. --Worldbruce (talk) 17:06, 16 September 2019 (UTC)

TVaughanSoCal (talk) 17:33, 16 September 2019 (UTC) Hello, Please help...The individual my article is about is a founding member of a 40 year old punk rock band. The band (including his name) is all over Wikipedia and other members have their own articles. I've followed the suggesstions and added several more references from viable sources that are facts from interviews, press, movie appearnaces etc...and it was declined again...HELP please getting frustrated. Thank you kindly. TvaughanSoCal

Hi TVaughanSoCal. One of the reviewers pointed you to the guidelines on the notability of music-related topics. They could have saved you some frustration by pointing out the specific guideline that is relevant. Members of notable bands (e.g. T.S.O.L.) are redirected to the article about the band, not given individual articles, unless they have demonstrated individual notability for activity independent of the band. Roche is notable only in connection with T.S.O.L., so there will be no stand alone article about Roche.
Other members of the band may have individual articles because they've done something for which they're notable outside the band (solo releases that have attracted significant critical attention, for example). Or having their own articles may be a mistake, perhaps no one has gotten around to redirecting them. See the essay "Other stuff exists" to help understand why it's irrelevant to this draft whether there are articles about other members of the band or not. --Worldbruce (talk) 22:46, 16 September 2019 (UTC)

FunnyTomato227 (talk) 00:04, 17 September 2019 (UTC)

@FunnyTomato227: - thus far the subject hasn't received any suitable coverage - even the buzzfeed article is by a community contributor and not vetted by the editorial staff, so isn't reliable. Once either the book or site is finished, additional coverage may be made. This should not be resubmitted until that additional, suitable, coverage is made. I believe the article ascribes to Wikipedia's 5 pillars and is worth adding to Wikipedia for a few reasons. It is sufficiently important, being a growing creator in Eugene, Oregon it helps to flush out the cities growing community. Additionally, it is written from a neutral point of view and stands to record facts and events. If any aspect is biased, feel free to edit. I believe this page will grow significantly in the coming years and would help tremendously to have a starting point for people to continually edit.

Gameofdrones967 (talk) 04:28, 17 September 2019 (UTC) the rejection notice says "This topic is not sufficiently notable for inclusion in Wikipedia" Theroadislong (talk) 07:41, 17 September 2019 (UTC)

I believe this article is sufficiently notable for inclusion in Wikipedia since it is the groundwork for a growing creator in Oregon. The current article is a jumping-off point for other members of the community to add to once more notable achievements are made. Gameofdrones967 (talk) 04:35, 17 September 2019 (UTC)

Kindly review the Draft:Ji_Golpor_Ses_Nai again as the film is an important part of history of Assamese Cinema, deserves to be included in Wikipedia. Thanks 2001:4408:4401:1F:4A1A:6980:3198:412F (talk) 06:09, 17 September 2019 (UTC)

Hi! I need help understanding what specific changes I should make to the page in order to meet Wikipedia's guidelines. The reason for its decline stated that it "should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources," and as you'll see, I included 16 entirely independent, highly reputable sources -- none of which included content produced by or for the company. Additionally, when modeling this submission, I took careful pains to ensure it matched the near-exact format of other published Wikipedia pages (such as Rent_the_Runway and Hims,_Inc.). So I'm really unsure as to what I should be editing. The more specific guidance, the better! I welcome any & all feedback. Thank you! (talk) 13:15, 17 September 2019 (UTC)

17:34:06, 17 September 2019 review of draft by

This morning, my draft was declined with the comment "This submission appears to be a news report of a single event and may not be notable enough for an article in Wikipedia. Please see Wikipedia:NOT#NEWS and Wikipedia:ONEEVENT for more information." My draft was declined even after the changes I made between 04:11 and 04:20 today. I don't know how this draft still reads like a news report. To the best of my knowledge, I do not use relative time-sensitive words such as "yesterday," "last week," and "recently" as I would if this were written in news style. As I mentioned on the draft's talk page, I believe the content of my draft focuses more on the disappearance of the person than it does on the person herself. The event seems to meet the notability guidelines at Wikipedia:EVENT. As demonstrated by the references present in the draft, the event has been covered by various news sources at different times in the last ten years, so it does not appear to be a "routine kind of news event." I am working on creating an article for the Archivists and Archives of Color Roundtable. Most of my sources come from the SAA, which is problematic, but I have been trying to fill it with other notable secondary sources. I absolutely believe this is an important group that deserves its own wikipedia page, as it has encouraged the growth of diversity among archivists and archives across the United States. If there are any suggestions on some good secondary sources, that would be helpful, or even just a quick read-through of what I have so far would be incredibly helpful. Thanks! Hi Wiki, I do not understand why this article is being rejected because it is not significant enough. As I see Wikipedia is a platform to share knowledge and information and there always will be some topics or articles that are not interesting or significant for others. Please assist me. Thank you.
