Haley A. Vlach is a Professor of Educational Psychology at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and an investigator at the Wisconsin Center for Education Research. Her research is centered on children’s thinking and learning. Her work examines several cognitive processes, such as children’s memory; word learning and language development; categorization; generalization/transfer of learning; and conceptual development.
Biography edit
Vlach received her BS in psychology from Carnegie Mellon University. She continued her education at the University of California, Los Angeles where she completed her M.A. and her Ph.D. Vlach joined the faculty at University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2012. Her research is currently funded by several agencies and foundations, such as the National Institutes of Health, National Science Foundation, Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation, and the James S. McDonnell Foundation.
