David Hilowitz is a Youtuber[1], film composer[2], and software developer[2]. Hilowitz's Youtube channel focuses on DIY musical experiments as well as synthesizers[1][3]. He is the creator of Decent Sampler, a sampling plug-in used by musicians throughout the world[2]. In addition to releasing music under his own name, Hilowitz has released rock music under the name Manwomanchild[2]. Some of Hilowitz' past experiments have included building a cello out of an old wooden box, building a violin with a reverb tank inside[2], turning an electric toothbrush into a synthesizer[3], modifying a Squier mustang[4][5][6], using a record cutter as a synthesizer[7], making a music sequencer from a bicycle wheel[8], rescuing a guitar that was left outside for five years and turning it into a basitar[1].
