Passing parameters via template calls

Does adding a parameter to the template call pass the parameter to the module? -- 12:06, 7 November 2014 (UTC) {{2015 FIFA Women's World Cup Group A table|only_pld_pts=yes}} The answer, unfortunately, is no. I can't say I'm surprised since the template only calls the module and isn't necessarily set up to pass parameters. Perhaps some more playing with it? As of right now, if |only_pld_pts= is called (even without a value), the table is shrunk. Discussion is needed at the talk page. -- 12:08, 7 November 2014 (UTC) 12:49, 7 November 2014 (UTC)

This uses a lot more real estate in an article than {{32TeamBracket-2legs}}, and it also requires manual bolding of the entire table in the event of PKSO; automatic bolding only seems to work with |score-boxes=1 or |score-boxes=n+sum, but PKSO results can't be included in automatic calculations since the module calculates "A (B)" as "AB" (i.e. 10*A + B). — Jkudlick ⚓ t ⚓ c ⚓ s 04:10, 5 March 2020 (UTC)

@LTFC 95 and Stevie fae Scotland: Here's a start to the table templates. Feel free to critique and make suggestions. — Jkudlick ⚓ (talk) 21:06, 7 March 2022 (UTC)

Thanks, that's amazing. My only comment would be for outwith North America it might be better to have a venue column with either H/A/N or the stadium name. The parameters you've used as well should save a lot of time when it comes to updating articles which currently use the footballbox template. Stevie fae Scotland (talk) 09:18, 8 March 2022 (UTC)
@Stevie fae Scotland: How's this? — Jkudlick ⚓ (talk) 17:41, 8 March 2022 (UTC)
I like it, I like it. That would be pretty much perfect. Stevie fae Scotland (talk) 19:06, 8 March 2022 (UTC)
@Jkudlick: Sorry for the late response. This is very good so far. However, my first suggestion would be to add a column for references after attendance using {{abbr|Ref.|Reference}} for the header. I am not sure that the font size in the goalscorers column needs to be smaller. Does this comply with MOS:FONTSIZE? If we are going to have a goal icon, do we need to explain its purpose above the table in a key per MOS:ICON? Does an icon exist for an own goal or a penalty scored? We would also need a key for the win, draw and loss colours similar to the one found at Wikipedia:WikiProject Football/Club seasons. LTFC 95 (talk) 22:06, 13 March 2022 (UTC)
