List of How It's Made episodes


How It's Made is a documentary television series that premiered on January 6, 2001 on the Discovery Channel (now known as Discovery Science in Canada, and Science in the UK and US.) The program is produced in the Canadian province of Quebec by Productions MAJ, Inc. and Productions MAJ 2.[1] In the UK, it is broadcast on Discovery Channel, Quest, and DMAX.[2]

Seasons and episode notesEdit

  • A variant of S28E01 with a British voice-over has a segment about condoms replacing the segment about rubber gloves in the US-voiced version.
  • The ninth episode of Season 1, "Historical Capsule," incorrectly states in the "Cosmetics" that Florence Nightingale founded the Elizabeth Arden cosmetics company in 1930. In fact, the company was founded by Florence Nightingale Graham.[3]
  • During the third series, The "Techno Flash" segment was removed, and during the fifth series, the historical capsule segment was removed.[4]
  • The background music that is heard in the "Pipe Organs" segment of Season 2, Episode 2 is called "Variations for Organ on 'O Filii et Filiæ', Opus 49, No. 2" by French organist and composer Alexandre Guilmant.
  • In television listings for the Science Channel (US),[5] the episodes retain the same order, but seasons are numbered differently:
