Thanks for reverting that guys work... his statement about the league was pretty bold... Jr. B sits in as an alternative to Junior A in some regions of Ontario due to the limited amount of ground the OPJHL can cover without making travel costs too high.

Arizona League

To be honest with you, I don't think the moves are correct simply because we should generally go with the most common name. But. I'm ok with it as long as the articles mention that the teams are also commonly known as the "AZL" X. And btw, the Gulf Coast League teams are listed as GCL X with the proviso that the league doesn't use city names. Request for Participation at WT: Airports

As you may be aware, there was a recent discussion on the talk page of WP:Airports which prematurely and without consensus resulted in mass changes to airport articles throughout Wikipedia. Before a drastic change like this is put into practice, it is important to have clear consensus, which from my readings as an observer, did not occur. Many of these changes started to occur before any real discussion had taken place, and despite much disagreement from some community members. Disagreement is good -- it's great actually -- without it nothing would ever get done. But it's important that everyone opinions are heard fairly and accurately, and that significant changes like merging the Regional Airline destinations with the Mainline destinations are not done without such consensus. I encourage you, as someone involved in WP:Airports and the original discussion, to voice your opinions and discuss with others about how we should move forward at this point. Positive and constructive conversation is the way to a consensus. I also ask that everyone (myself included) ceases merging or un-merging mainline/regional destinations until a censuses is reached. Hi SportingFlyer, I thought I would stop by and provide some references I found regarding the IAYG article. I want to thank you for your vigilance and fair arbitration in the Deletion request. I don't want to become a hypocrite and saying that it would be hypocritical to delete this subject when we accept thai-players who has only played 1 or 2 games in the league but sources are fully or almost over fully not reliable, it might as well been a page created and edited by someone... All in all, I knew you considered GNG and I sent you this so that you could hopefully if nice change you answer, he is very suited for note via GNG, and for ethics sake for you to change your answer he's suited via following:"Significant coverage" addresses the topic directly and in detail, so that no original research is needed to extract the content. You are right Lizette Parker does not pass GNG

This has become down right ludicrous. We have people coming up with more and more special carve outs for notability, while ignoring how many acrticles on truly notable people we lack. They want to make Lizette Parker a cause celebre for better coverage of black people, when we lack even an article on all current members of the legislature of Ghana. There are probably thousands of articles on black people who unquestionably pass notability guidelines we lack, but Lizette Parker is not one of them. This is really just a continuation of special, illogical and localized coverage of New Jersey which undermines Wikipedia as a relied upon and respected source.John Pack Lambert (talk) 01:18, 8 May 2018 (UTC)

Draft Declined: Accra Lions Football Club

I really don't get what the problem is. I used an independent source (ghanasoccernet), the official website of the football federation of Ghana (ghanafa) and the official homepage of the club. There are no facts, that need a source, the stadium capacity is official and there is source for it too (stadiumDB). There are so many crap Wikipedia-pages of other teams of the league (no sources, no informations, really poor pages), but this draft is still declined because of what...? Should I add one more source, but for what? This club is for sure one of the top 30 clubs of the country and there are over 90(!) pages of other clubs, just look at them: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Football_clubs_in_Ghana How are these wikipedia pages better than this draft?

All teams which have played in the national cup are presumptively notable, as are any teams playing in the "national" level of the league structure, as are teams which pass WP:GNG. I did not see Accra Lions having played in the cup per the article nor a quick search, they do not play in the "national" level of the league, and you have only one reliable source per WP:GNG (the Ghanasoccernet article) as the other sources are primary (the Ghana FA site, the club's webpage) or a directory, which typically don't count toward notability (stadiumdb). If they're playing in the FA Cup as a second division team, a source showing that would be the fastest way to be presumptively notable. Otherwise, other media articles will need to be added about specific parts of the club to pass WP:GNG. SportingFlyer talk 23:02, 5 August 2018 (UTC)

Thanks for your help, @SportingFlyer. I will work slowly on adding additional references, there are 100+ from his time in Canada's top league in the 1960s. (Of course, he played in an era when there was no international "A" fixtures for Canada, although he did play there. I will also add reference to his brief time at Arsenal. Per sources not online (ie, as you can imagine, our media market is MUCH smaller than our neighbours to the south), is there an example for references to print publications like Vancouver Province or Globe & Mail or Dundee or Soviet newspapers? (I am also working on Bobby Smith footballer who was the other major striker during Canada's international football gap). @Mattythewhite: I understand the duty to reference is on the restoring user, but the text was originally deleted on "POV grounds," not because it was unsourced. (Please note I'm not saying your deletion was improper.) These last three sources are real estate and mortgage publications which establish credibility and significance in the subject's field. I modeled my submission after several other similar articles on Wikipedia so I am not sure why it was rejected. Any guidance you can provide would be greatly appreciated. @Skv1982: Hello, just because the sources are credible third-party sources do not mean the source is enough to show notability for a company under WP:NCORP. My analysis of the available sources is below:

• 1) wikipedia is not a reliable source.
• 2) The company's survey is only casually mentioned in the article.
• 3) The company's survey is only casually mentioned in the article
• 4) Survey article not independent from the company
• 5) Article about another survey, not independent from the company
• 6) Another survey article/company press release
• 7) Yet another survey
• 8) Yet another survey - a little bit better because the Tribune discusses the company a little bit, but not quite meeting the threshold
• 9) More marketing material about a survey

None of these sources in my mind are either independent or secondary - they all republish the company's surveys, which typically are marketing tools for the company. Thank you again for your constructive feedback. I am doing this for the first time and I did not realize you could not cite Wikipedia as a reference -- I will fix that. I also confirmed by checking the disclosure for each article referenced that none of the publications were compensated for writing about the subject. I would think this is a positive because it establishes the sources' independence but I understand there are other factors involved. Also, you seem to dismiss surveys as only marketing materials but many organizations use them to highlight important topics such as financial literacy, mortgage fraud and the environment. I would think these issues are also important to the Wikipedia community which makes the subject relevant as well. I am not questioning your judgement but looking at things from a different angle and trying to understand how my article can be accepted. In any case, I defer to you and certainly appreciate your feedback and the time you took to respond to my message. I will re-submit the article based on your guidance. @Skv1982: The issue with the surveys is they are promotional material for the company, where we need independent sources which significantly cover the company. No article, regardless of the source, which simply discusses a survey isn't a completely independent source. Keep in mind it is not relevance but sourcing which makes an article notable. • @Kimdroze: I'm not sure she's notable enough for an article, but you should definitely read WP:INCITE as the article has no chance of being submitted without the inline citations. Women's hockey

Since I think we reached our final discussion points that were at hand in the relevant AfDs, I mentioned I pushed for looking into the CWHL and NWHL last year. The archived discussion can be found at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Ice Hockey/Archive69#Women's hockey where I proposed exactly what your stated in Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Tatiana Rafter.

As a background to the SNG problem for NHOCKEY, there was an editor, User:dolovis, who was notorious for abusing the previous hockey SNG with hockey players that were merely mentioned in a few sources, but met the very bare minimum of the SNG at that time (of which there were hundreds articles he created for games played and preeminent honours in marginally GNG covered leagues). The articles he created got a lot of scrutiny from the general NSPORTS contributors for the sub-stubs that led to a very restrictive SNG for hockey, which is why certain sites like SBNation are considered routine by that project (at least for the NHL/AHL/ECHL). The end result became the heavily defined NHOCKEY, which makes it much harder to make a hockey-specific guidelines for any league, regardless of gender, and certain degree of deletion-ism in that project.

I guess all it takes in one prolifically bad contributor to make it much harder to make an SNG for a sport. And I very much agree with your assessment at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ethan Cooper, but I have decided to stay away from that project and editors after Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mason Espinosa and that the Gridiron project considers the use of the word "professional athlete" to make the equivalent depth of coverage different than college, despite being just as localized. (Note: I don't know if I would still nom Espinosa these days, he has gotten move coverage since joining the Columbus Lions per WP:CONTINUEDCOVERAGE from his local papers). I don't think it's a major problem, but I don't see any reason why we can't try to push to add some sort of notability criteria for top women's players as they're all at least borderline WP:GNG (since the background, more coverage has occurred, and with a new team in the NWHL I'm interested to see if coverage picks up this year. Also, it's interesting that the problems with hockey haven't spilled over into gridiron. For instance, I don't know how Espinosa was kept, there's only two half-decent sources on him (Billings, the local Columbus television source) and it's routine game coverage. I am certainly hoping coverage picks up. IMO, the women's games has more parity in the teams' players, and therefore more exciting, than the men's leagues. But they get no attendance, and no media coverage because of it. It definitely makes me respect the sports I have had direct personal experiences (Boardercross, the US Ski Team, and various CrossFit Games athletes) are unbiased in their coverage of men vs. women. I also understand GNG, but have come to see that different sports-related projects view these guidelines very differently. I do not know specifically why Ice Hockey got targeted, but Dolovis made hundreds (or thousands, he was at one point a "highest count page creator on wikipedia") of pages that were under-sourced. As Gridiron is such an American sport (very regionilized), maybe people should push it to realize that a random extremely-regional football player is not notable on the encyclopedic scale per WP:NOTEVERYTHING. I've worked on aviation accident articles before and am familiar with the essay. Furthermore, this was an incident which received major international news coverage, which would tend to pass WP:GNG if it were a standalone article, which is policy, not an essay. Furthermore, your initial revert was because it was an Air India Express flight, which is not covered in WP:AIRCRASH. Jebels

Hiya. The energy is more about how many more of these he's created. I dunno, maybe they had a WP article creation competition back in 2008, but every single 'settlement' stub he's created now appears to have a matching 'jebel'. There are very, very few jebels with actual names in the UAE, for instance Jais or Buhais. The Hajjar mountains are extensive, arid, barren and very lumpy. And saying that a peak near a village carries that village's name is more than disingenuous as nobody, but nobody uses that nomenclature. I truly despair to think of how many of these there are and every single one is just unhelpful cruft that masks the real work that remains to be done on the UAE's geography. @Alexandermcnabb: I'd support a bulk AfD of these stubs if you have the time. The problem I had with the settlements is there's no definitive guide to what is and what isn't a settlement in the UAE (the census is terrible), and I err on the side of keeping geographical articles, especially in populated areas. I have much less of an issue with deleting these stubs - but (as you're probably aware) be careful not to overdo it as many bulk AfDs get kept on procedural grounds. Yeah, the volume was an issue with the settlements as well. In theory these should be easier. Bundling is kind of odd. If you have mountains A and B, nominate A like usual - I'm using parentheses instead of brackets here - ((subst:afd1)). Then, instead of nominating B like usual, you'd just put the following at the top of B: ((subst:afd1|A)) and then write "AfD: :Nominating for Deletion" in the edit summary, non-minor edit. This links B's AfD to A's. Then you'd save, click on the link which takes you to the AfD, and then add the following to the original AfD:

((la|A)) ((Find sources AFD|A)) (again, brackets instead of parentheses) I would also write something along the lines of "in the process of bundling several articles, please wait" and then remove that line when you're done adding articles. I honestly have no idea. I just thought it better to have the AfD fully blue and keep all of the references at the bottom than to have the blue box broken and have multiple ref templates (it is used at the bottom). Why are you vandalising the page and making it worse than it was? You have added unreferenced charters to the list for airlines like BH Air and removed the reference for the charter that was actually referenced correctly. The reference column you have added is not per WP:AIRPORT-CONTENT neither is the way you've listed seasonal flights, we don't separate routes from winter and summer seasonal if they're seasonal, they're seasonal that's it, plain and simple. You've also removed references for routes, we're meant to be adding references to make the page better as referencing seems to be a massive problem for everyone on this particular page so why are you removing them? and reverting the table to a few weeks ago which is outdated and since then new references have been added which you have removed. You've also re added start dates for routes that started a week ago. Seems as though you don't want to make the page better as your edit has essentially vandalised the page and it now holds incorrect information and can not be changed as the page has again been protected. Second, no, the player does not currently pass WP:GNG, our general notability guideline, nor our specialised WP:NCOLLATH or WP:GRIDIRON. The NY Times articles fails our young athlete/high school sports policy, stats sites don't show notability (the sports reference/track stats), I have no idea what "Virginia Tech Sideline" is - is that his own site? if so, that fails WP:PRIMARY, the SI reference is nothing but a name drop in a list, and the journal times coverage of his college game and NFL signing is typically considered routine coverage. • @Millennialteaching: Hi, I did not actually note it did not include secondary reliable sources - the problem with the article as it stands is it reads like an essay which is promoting the idea instead of discussing it in a neutral encyclopedic tone. I did not actually look at the sources, since they are in Dutch and I would have to use a translation service to see if they are reliable or not, and because the references are not inline this makes it more difficult to review the article. Please rewrite the article to be less of an essay and in a neutral encyclopedic tone. Also, it's not technically necessary, but will make it easier to accept the article if the references match the sentence they support and not the paragraph. Supporter groups

There is nothing wrong with citing, linking to supporter group websites, like there is nothing wrong with the use of sources from the clubs own website, it's done all the time. @Govvy: Well, secondary sources are always preferred when available. I noticed the edit war on my watchlist and thought adding a secondary source would be a simple solution to keep the content and stop the reversions. Based on my exposure to it I don't consider it an "adult" activity, and it appears this person has an article specifically because he is a child performer in the area. I've reverted your revert. The source was malformed when I saw it, so it was as good as unsourced, but it's still negative WP:NOTNEWS created by a WP:SPA who has only added controversy sections to Wofford and Furman. I don't mind if you add the source back somewhere else (with prose which uses the source more accurately) if you think it's worth mentioning, but it was not okay as it stood. Opinion needed

Hello! Meant to ask you, since I saw you being around football related AFDs. I found this by chance Ferhat Odabaşı. While I know he is supposed to pass WP:NFOOTY for appearing in a fully professional league, it seems that his sole claim for notability is that he "appeared in 5 matches (which I don't find anything special) for Gençlerbirliği OFTAŞ in Süper Lig before he moved to a non fully professional league". Isn't that a blatant failure of WP:BLP1E? He doesn't seem to have appeared back into Süper Lig AND obviously fails WP:GNG so that can't save him. @Jovanmilic97: I'm really not worried about that article. We're in the process of determining whether the Turkish second division meets the fully professional league requirement, he otherwise had a lengthy career, and while I don't read Turkish there are a number of non-directory sites which pop up with his name during a quick search, so perhaps it can be sourced. Pageviews are irrelevant for determining notability, and there's a difference between WP:BLP1E and satisfying our notability criteria - he appeared five times, so there's not "one event" he's known for. He's known for being a professional football player over a period of years who happens to qualify under our guidelines, and our guidelines exist so we can easily tell who gets an article and who doesn't when we have an entire world to look after. However, you're not wrong to ask - keep on the lookout for players who pass WP:NFOOTY but can only be sourced to directory websites such as soccerway or national-football-teams. Hope that helps! @Barkeep49: Of course. It was declined at AfC twice. Within an hour of the second decline, another AfC reviewer resubmitted the article to AfC after noticing it was declined and accepted without changing a thing: [6] Our standard is likely to pass an AfD, and that article at AfC would be unlikely to pass an AfD without a copious WP:BEFORE search. (I may be wrong if it gets through on some school notability hook, but I always look at references at AfC regardless.) The time I went to accept an article that had been declined, I discussed the article with the user who had just declined it before I went back, added a source or two, and accepted it. It just feels a bit like gaming the system. I have no problem with keeping the current article, which has been vastly improved. SportingFlyer T·C 01:32, 12 February 2019 (UTC)

SportingFlyer Thank you for your explanation. I appreciate your thinking and the time you spent writing it out.

I do disagree with your critique, however. I would argue that it's the second decliner who got it wrong, after the sources had be refilled, and perhaps the first. The standard, as you say, isn't what shape it is in. It is whether it is likely to pass an AfD. If this had been made directly in mainspace, never going to AfC, there is a decent chance that a new page reviewer would have nominated it for deletion, but that is no certain thing. And if it goes to AfD, it would likely not have attracted the attention this nomination has, but would still have stood a great chance of surviving - SCHOOLOUTCOMES tells us as much. OUTCOMES isn't a reason to keep at AfD, but it absolutely should be a factor in an AfC reviewer deciding to keep or reject. It reflects what the community does and schools are likely to pass an AfD - as this very article shows.

I would suggest that there is an issue at AfC with rejecting too much stuff - I was saying it while I was a merge on this article and I'm saying it here where I nominated something that had been accepted for deletion. NPP, is where we don't pass the buck. AfC's standard should be lower and any regular good AfC reviewer should, in my opinion, have some number of deleted accepts. If a regular AfC reviewer doesn't have any than the standard they're using is "Will pass an AfD" not the actual standard of "Is likely to pass an AfD". Also, in my opinion, it's not the role of an AfC reviewer to make a bad submission good, or to assume a bad submission will survive an AfD. We should not be holding articles in draft space to make the authors bring it up to the standards we wish they would have. We should be holding articles in draft space until their authors write something that is likely to survive at AfD. That's it. Much of what goes through AfC cannot even do that and of course we should be declining them. But this article, to me, is a perfect example of an article that gets declined against the consensus of the community as expressed in the policy and guidelines. @Barkeep49: Ah, your reply stated that "AfC's standard should be lower than AfD," and I agreed. But to be honest, it's difficult in practice. I don't think I've ever accepted an article I would !vote delete on at an AfD. I don't think this elevates the standard to the AfD level, either - I would say the AfC standard is "I would !vote Keep at AfD." There are ways around this too - I find commenting on articles I'm in the grey zone about to be more productive than rejecting or accepting at times, since it gives the creator some feedback, and someone else at AfC a concern to review, as not every AfD vote or AfC review is a clear yes/no keep/delete binary vote. For this article I guess you could argue the first two rejected drafts passed WP:SCHOOLOUTCOMES #2 with the brief book mention, and note part of my feedback here is my general unfamiliarity with the schools guideline. But would it not have been better for the accepting user to try and have a conversation with the two users who rejected the draft? We've now had a lengthy AfD and brief DRV on the subject, and the conflict could have been resolved much more easily. I guess we've at least got a decent article out of it. Based on my review of articles on Cerberus FTP Server, which only included references to the vendor's website, and CompleteFTP, which contains no references at all, I thought that I was writing a notable, well-referenced article. There are 2 other servers that I'd like to cover, but I can't even get past my first article. Can you please explain to me why the articles that I've noted meet the guidelines, and mine does not? I'm a new editor, and I'm trying to follow the rules and be a good contributor. I'm a user of this software because it's recommended by Cisco (as noted in my article), but even that doesn't qualify as a notable 3rd party source.

@KyleLes: Sure! First, we have a rule called "other stuff exists," or WP:OSE - just because another product has an article doesn't mean a similar article will be accepted or notable. Unfortunately, the two articles you've chosen to base your article on are not very good. CompleteFTP should probably be deleted. It was proposed for deletion but the article creator removed it. Cerberus FTP Server was nominated for deletion and kept, but the article was never updated with the sources discovered at the deletion discussion. This wasn't the best discussion in my mind, but here is the discussion demonstrating the sources other users deemed notable: Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Cerberus_FTP_Server. The Cisco source does not cover TitanFTP significantly (WP:SIGCOV) as it only mentions the name of the FTP server and a link to the company's website - we're looking for independent secondary coverage (articles, books, et cetera.) Wiki Incorrect league assessment soccer

Hi there, you rejected the Shane McInerney professional soccer player page because you said he never played in a pro league. I’m trying to create pages for Irish players and firstly the Irish league is a pro league with teams competing in Europe league and champions league. As for the list you linked, the player in question has played in the NASL. Which is on the list, even though it’s no longer a league. • @MonDon2019: Hi, the Irish league is not in our list of fully professional leagues, required to pass WP:NFOOTY. Also, the Armada did not play in NASL when he played for them but the NPSL. See: [7]. He does not pass WP:NFOOTY and does not appear to otherwise be notable. I would encourage you to continue creating pages for Irish players, but note they do not get automatic notability presumptions. Artcile marked for deletion

Hello, I noticed you marked my article for deletion. I am wondering what can I improve to not have this article deleted, I have worked on the article for over a week and tried improving. I noticed you marked the reason that I moved it after it was declined, but it was declined for not having enough sources after which I spent loads of edits (clearly visible in the history) adding notable sources and making it read less like an Artcile, I feel like stating that I moved it after it was declined isn't a fair way of putting this since I changed the article a bunch, added new information and backed up the old information with outside sources.

@VindevogelTaho: Hi, typically the AfC process allows editors to review articles before moving them into mainspace. I would have declined this article if it had remained in draftspace. It reads like an advertisement and many of the sources don't count towards notability as they are either press releases, not reliable, or only mention the company in passing. If you want to contest the deletion you are allowed to do so by removing the PROD notice, but please note I will nominate it to see if it's notable at a deletion discussion. I honestly would remove the PROD, move it back to draftspace, clean up the prose, and make the notability clear from the sources, and resubmit. SportingFlyer T·C 20:31, 18 February 2019 (UTC)

If the part reads too much like an advertisement you can delete it again. I'm not sure about that part, I find it hard to draw a line between factual writing and making it sound interesting. @VindevogelTaho: The same two problems still exist: 1) I can't determine the article's notability, and 2) the article's still written encyclopedically. #1 is purely a language issue since I can't tell if the sources are reliable or not. The HLN article [8] appears okay to me, though - I've noted this on the draft page. 2) is the larger problem, but if other users think #1 is satisfied, it should be fixable. Good luck! I will try to improve the article to make it as neutral as possibe, I do however come from a business background and to me this is pretty neutral. Are there certain parts that make it not neutral for you ? For the notability, can I do anything to prove the notability of these articles since they're in another language. (first one isn't behind a paywall, but you do need an account to read it I think.) • Two elements of CSD G6 have been split into their own criteria: R4 for redirects in the "File:" namespace with the same name as a file or redirect at Wikimedia Commons (Discussion), and G14 for disambiguation pages which disambiguate zero pages, or have "(disambiguation)" in the title but disambiguate a single page (Discussion).
• {{db-blankdraft}} was merged into G13 (Discussion)
• A discussion recently closed with no consensus on whether to create a subject-specific notability guideline for theatrical plays.

Reminders

• NPR is not a binary keep / delete process. In many cases a redirect may be appropriate. Hi. While doing NPP, I noticed that you accepted 2019 Sun Belt Conference football season from AfC. I see no indication that this season meets WP:NSEASON as it seems to lack any well sourced prose. I think we're far too lenient on WP:SEASON articles as they stand as far too many of them fail WP:NOTSTATS, but the 2019 schedule is out and the American football wiki's broadly inclusionist, so I figured it would survive an AfD. Copyvio

To be honest, I'm actually not all that active a participant at the copyvio noticeboard — I pop in sometimes when a request that's already there pertains to an article I've already been involved with for crossover reasons, but I'm not a regular visitor or an active copyvio-wiper. So about all I can suggest is to be sure you know what kinds of processes people tend to follow in dealing with a copyvio request, and jump in to help if and when something sparks your fancy as an issue you want to look into. A lot of the time the most appropriate way to deal with a copyvio comes down to personal judgement calls, to be honest: sometimes it's so grievous as to require total speedy deletion, and other times it's fixable with a simple rewrite followed by revision deletion of the offending edits. Your citation is incorrect and outdated. Alaska was thinking in 2018 of starting service but never did. Horizon Air did when the airport opened for airline traffic in early March. See [2] following Alaska Airlines decision to push back the start of Horizon Airlines flights from February 11th to early March. [3] “We’ve had our setbacks, we’ve had our delays, but today is the day,” said Gary Beck, CEO and president of Alaska Air’s Horizon Air subsidiary, which will be handling operations in Everett. I would be more than glad to ask you to have a look over the expansion I did to the draft of Veria F.C. season 2018-19 article. I’ve already submitted for review but none had a look yet at it.

• I won't accept the article at this time - it's borderline, the sources are in Greek, and I don't have time at the moment to translate them all and see if they're reliable. However, amateur seasons don't typically get kept, but I think you may be close to passing WP:GNG. Your best bet for improvement will be to reference the opening part of the article - you can reuse references from below, but if you can show beyond a doubt Greek media covered the Veria season in spite of their amateur league status, you may have a shot at keeping the article at AfD. • @SportingFlyer: Isn't the links used for match reports a strong indicator that media did cover the season? I added more sources from various Greek media websites on the opening paragraph as you suggested as well! KerkidaSport.gr is the main website that covers Veria's news each year for many years now as well, if that also counts and also every major site. Gamma Ethniki used to be a professional league but in recent years they made it the top tier of amateur divisions. After that, there are the local divisions. Just a question, why was the 2013–14 AEK Athens F.C. season accepted then?

• @PanosBonJovi: I agree with you, I'm just letting you know I have to review whether the draft will be deleted, and regardless of the sourcing, amateur teams tend to get deleted, so your best bet is making sure the sourcing is great and clearly shows the article passes the WP:GNG guideline. See Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/2017–18 Leyton Orient F.C. season. It doesn't look like the AEK Athens season was made in draft space from what I can tell. • @SportingFlyer: Well, my article was moved to drafts cause it lacked of sources but the AEK Athens article I mentioned above seems that it also lacks of sources, unless i'm mistaken, and it's also written for an amateur division (the same amateur division which Veria played to this year)! Anyway thanks for helping me over this one, hopefully my latest sources and updates are enough to keep the article alive as I spend a lot of time and effort to keep every Veria themed article up to date and I worked on this specific article as well! If more is needed, i'd be glad to try and add them!

Thanks and a question

Thanks for reviewing the article on the IGL Recording Co. I have a question for you though. I get why the book on the studio is not acceptable due to it being tied somewhat closely to the principals of the studio itself - especially after revisiting the guideline cited.

Why is the article from Arf! Arf! Records, authored by Tom Tourville, not acceptable? The site the article is a part of is focused on the reunion for the IGL region and not the studio specifically. It is maintained by a 3rd party not connected to the studio. The studio is a part of the regions history and is included in the site for that reason. Tourville's article provides 3rd party corroboration of much of the information contained in the book. Tourville himself is not connected to the studio in any way. He writes on the music history in the northern part of the state as that's where he grew up. I would contend that it is in the same league as the Explore Okoboji article. If I am remembering correctly there is a audio interview with John Senn included on the EO site which also corroborates much of the books information.

Thanks for taking a second look. This question also occurred: If I strip out the specifics that are only verified in the book, would that take care of the the issue? I think I can retain much of the info with the other two resources, along with the interview info.

@THX1136: Sorry, I meant the draft article. I was able to search through my contributions and find it. The trouble I have with the Arf! Arf! records is that it strongly appears self-published. While self-published sources can be okay, I am not convinced this is a reliable source, and it may be self-serving. Furthermore, what's important here is demonstrating notability in the project's eyes and self-published sources cannot be used to demonstrate notability. The Explore Okoboji article at least appeared to be from mainstream media sources, and I gave it the benefit of the doubt. My advice to you would be to seek out other reliable secondary sources which significantly cover the topic in order to prove the studio's notability beyond a doubt, and good luck! Tourville has written several books that deal with the IA/MN music scene from the 60s and beyond. I'm hoping that one of his books was the source for the article quoted by Heller at Arf!Arf!
