This is me, alright.
Having lived in the UAE for the past 25 years and traveled around the Middle East for the past 32, I have been shocked by how much has been misrepresented, mis-spelled, mis-categorised and generally goofed up by lack of care, attention and desire to respectfully record the truth on the ground when it comes to the region's representation on Wikipedia.
I am frankly amazed by the violent anti-Middle Eastern bias I have found on here. Nothing good can ever come from the Middle East: anything from the region is automatically assumed to be bad. AGF doesn't apply to the Arab world or anything that comes from it because it's naturally untrustworthy. Any negative reference to the region is instantly accepted - anything positive is instantly queried and challenged. It's stunning, to say the least.
I'm going to try and change that. One fact at a time. At least until I get bored or sufficiently annoyed to give up.
Particularly interested in UAE history, archaeology and Emirati things in general - particularly in Dubai and the Northern Emirates...
