Cambridge movement moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Cambridge movement, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Proposed deletion of Scott Sanders Productions

Notice

The article Scott Sanders Productions has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Previously deleted article. Single sourced to subject's website. Needs to be filled out and referenced to be a viable article.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Disambiguation link notification for October 5

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Montgomery High School (Montgomery, Texas), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Montgomery County Sheriff's Office (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

National varieties of English

Information icon Hello. In a recent edit to the page Nagasaki, you changed one or more words or styles from one national variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English in Wikipedia articles.

For a subject exclusively related to the United Kingdom (for example, a famous British person), use British English. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English. For something related to another English-speaking country, such as Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, India, or Pakistan use the variety of English used there. For an international topic, use the form of English that the original author of the article used.

In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to another, even if you don't normally use the version in which the article is written. Respect other people's versions of English. They, in turn, should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Manual of Style. If you have any questions about this, you can ask me on my talk page or visit the help desk. The article uses British English spellings (harbour, colour) throughout. There is no good reason to change it. General Ization Talk 02:56, 22 October 2019 (UTC)

Ok, thanks HAL333 02:57, 22 October 2019 (UTC)

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. Thanks MJLTalk. SchroCat did make the RFC completely biased, but I find that when I don't participate, they end up using the "consensus" to railroad the logical choice. HAL333 03:54, 3 December 2019 (UTC)
[Thank you for the ping] You're right in that regard. However, I think it might be more helpful in a lot of regards for me to step back and see what others say. I've never argued with a user who was so painfully wrong yet bent on insisting otherwise, and I have never seen an RFC formed that claims one side of the debate is fraudulent. If people seemed to get fooled by it, then maybe I'll weigh in. However, it would seem that most participants thus far are in favor of including the image. –MJLTalk 04:28, 3 December 2019 (UTC)

DYK for The Child (Star Wars character)

On 27 December 2019, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article The Child (Star Wars character), which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/The Child (Star Wars character). You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, The Child (Star Wars character)), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Happy Easter or whatever you celebrate

or: the resurrection of loving-kindness --Gerda Arendt (talk) 18:12, 12 April 2020 (UTC)

Thanks! I wish you a great Easter as well. ~ HAL333 18:23, 12 April 2020 (UTC)
Thank you, strange without lots of singing, but more time for hiking and biking. How do you like my singing in defiance, for example the loving-kindnesses piece? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 20:01, 12 April 2020 (UTC)
Gerda Arendt, it was very good! I'm impressed. ~ HAL333 20:10, 12 April 2020 (UTC)
The idea was born when the composer was TFA, DYK? When Penderecki died I thought about which piece to focus on, as a contribution of thanks, took the Credo rather soon, and became more and more intrigued by both content and him conducting it up to rather recently. (His bio went only to 2014, but found that he conducted it in 2018, to celebrate a centenary of Polish independence, in Ukraine!) Seems really some personal Creed, with an Easter song in the end. I was just too late for a DYK for Easter, also had the other already, so it will appear some day with a different hook. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 20:45, 12 April 2020 (UTC)
... and today Le Concert Spirituel - had to work on another composer who died when I found out that the last one had taken his pic and written his article --Gerda Arendt (talk) 20:29, 22 April 2020 (UTC)
A lot of greats of died recently, Brian Dennehy, Allen Daviau, Freeman Dyson... ~ HAL333 22:11, 22 April 2020 (UTC)
Agree. Today, I remember the birthday of a great conductor, and remember that I knew in 2014 that he died before news knew. - When you see news of a recent death (for example watching Deaths in 2020), feel fre to upgrade the article, at least get rid of tags, and if sufficiently sourced, nominate on WP:ITNN to be mentioned on the Main page. I keep being surprised about how many views that section gets, last week a five-digit number for a Swedish mezzo-soprano, just by mentioning her name, --Gerda Arendt (talk) 09:00, 23 April 2020 (UTC)
Thanks, I definitely will. ~ HAL333 15:14, 23 April 2020 (UTC)
Sometimes - when I can't upgrade a composer's article enough - I write about one of his works, especially fun when it's music for free imagination in battle with thought control ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 21:41, 26 April 2020 (UTC)
Gerda Arendt, I do the same thing. When a featured article like Ernest Hemingway doesn't have much room for improvement, I edit the articles on all of his short-stories and novels. ~ HAL333 22:31, 26 April 2020 (UTC)
Thinking alike, it seems ;) - To be pictured tomorrow: Credo. For Easter it was the loving-kindness (with particular pleasure, I admit), and last year it was an opera, where it says in the end "We pounded at the doors of the mighty; unheard remained the heart-wrenched agony, our people's mournful fate!", so more particular pleasure. (Remember Mozart?) My related little credo is here, please mind it's last line ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 07:49, 27 April 2020 (UTC)
Yeah, I've decided to not initiate anymore discussions on infoboxes. If someone else creates a discussion and my opinion would actually contribute something, then I might pitch in. But I've found it best to go to articles without a cartel of editors who've worked on it for 5-10 years. ~ HAL333 15:20, 27 April 2020 (UTC)
Yeah! - I believe that there are still many Mozart compositions without. I took care of the piano concertos after this beauty (not by me) made it to FA. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 17:34, 27 April 2020 (UTC)
I hope you're getting by during this pandemic and consequent lockdown. ~ HAL333 00:56, 28 April 2020 (UTC)
Trying, hope the same for you. Singing in choir is better than singing alone. Today, read Credo, "this is the day ..." - a line from Psalm 118 which Penderecki included in what he believed. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 09:35, 28 April 2020 (UTC)
Psalm 118 was just what I needed. Thanks! ~ HAL333 18:44, 28 April 2020 (UTC)
I should look into that one more. Did you know that we have a project going, to improve the psalms articles? I had no idea how many artworks the kiss of justice and peace inspired. - But first, I go for a great singer, Inge Borkh, planned to be GA some day. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 19:50, 28 April 2020 (UTC)
There's a WikiProject for almost everything nowadays. I used to be involved in a few, but I preferred going off on whatever interested me. ~ HAL333 00:44, 29 April 2020 (UTC)

DYK for F. Scott Fitzgerald

On 11 July 2020, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article F. Scott Fitzgerald, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that F. Scott Fitzgerald's works, such as The Great Gatsby, only gained popularity after his death? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/F. Scott Fitzgerald. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, F. Scott Fitzgerald), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

FLC review request

Hi. I noticed that you're highly active at FLC. I have a candidate list that is rapidly approaching the older nominations section and has only one review, and I'm worried that my nomination will fail purely from lack of attention. Would you be willing to take a look at it and offer any feedback you have?

I intend to use the finished FL as a template for improving similar lists, so the more feedback I'm able to get, the better.

Sincerely, The Squirrel Conspiracy (talk) 16:04, 16 July 2020 (UTC)

The Squirrel Conspiracy Sure, I'll try to get to it soon. ~ HAL333 16:50, 16 July 2020 (UTC)

Precious

biographies and film

Thank you for quality articles such as F. Scott Fitzgerald, Death of Jeffrey Epstein and The Mandalorian (Star Wars character), for substantial filmographies such as Jack Nicholson's, for living old-fashioned values, - lover of films by SK and "Dedicated Wikipedia editor", you are an awesome Wikipedian!

You are recipient no. 2416 of Precious, a prize of QAI. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 07:49, 11 July 2020 (UTC)

Gerda Arendt Thanks! It's an honor. ~ HAL333 16:17, 11 July 2020 (UTC)

Never a signed-up member but outcast, and more, a friend, and having given the best advice for survival here. Enjoy life, Hal! The first name I came across when typing your name now was Hasteur, and the second Halibutt. - In a nutshell: certain articles, you better leave alone, period. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 08:23, 24 July 2020 (UTC)
I get it - life is to short to waste it on IB discussions. ~ HAL333 13:16, 24 July 2020 (UTC)
Hasteur: I was sure I gave him precious long ago, - but wrong. Haven't decided if I do it now. I think I told you where I'm spending my time. Anna was a friend of mine. - Doing the Sinatra-all-day-DYK event in 2015 was great fun, and collaboration. (I hope you looked at every link above.) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 13:25, 24 July 2020 (UTC)
I was personally quite upset when I heard of Morricone's passing. I watched Cinema Paradiso that night. I'm actually planning to get an article related to him up to FL soon. I can understand your point about constructive edits - a controversial rfc can take as much work and time as a FL and something rarely comes from it. ~ HAL333 13:34, 24 July 2020 (UTC)
The cabal's to-do is here, and you can list a FLN at the top when it's ready, signed-up or not ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 14:01, 24 July 2020 (UTC)

Oh look, a Tainted Award being given to someone because they were disruptive in an idiot box comment. If there is a disruptive and nasty step to take around those discussions, you always seem to manage it. - SchroCat (talk) 22:54, 23 July 2020 (UTC)

What is your deal? What is up with the bad faith and innuendo? Those are rhetorical questions, please do not respond. Please desist immediately. El_C 13:21, 24 July 2020 (UTC)

Sinatra

I have no idea why you seem determined to be so disruptive on the Sinatra article, but just stop. There is no need for personal attacks (and, yes, reference to a “cabal” is a personal attack), and the question of the lead image was discussed six months ago. Just. Let. It. Go. - SchroCat (talk) 22:42, 23 July 2020 (UTC)
