Requesting photographs edit

Photographs for Lancashire and Cumbria related articles can be requested using the {{reqphoto}} template added to the article's talk page.

Wikimedia Commons edit

Sometimes there are a number of images also on Wikimedia Commons related to articles. Therefore this WikiProject recommends that you add a Wikimedia Commons link to the references section of an article. The templates to the right can be added to link through to the revelant category using {{commonscat|Lancashire}}. Please remember to always change Lancashire to the revelant articles' name.

There are now a large number of photographs on Commons that have been imported from the Geograph project. However, many of these have been categorised by a bot which sometimes puts photos in the wrong category, and others have not been categorised at all. You can use this tool to search for photos (categorised or not): zoom in to the area of interest. You can help by adding or changing the categories to something relevant.
