Only "A" internationals are included. Although there is some conjecture regarding the status of a number of games, the table includes all fixtures recognised by New Zealand Football as "A" internationals and as such is used to recognise caps, goal scorers, captaincy records, etc.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8] Last match updated on 21 November 2023 vs.   Republic of Ireland.

Thanks for bringing this up here. The module that is being used currently was specifically designed for these kinds of tables so I'd be reluctant to change it. You are able to alter the colours within the module, personally I don't see the point because the information is already there and the win percentage column makes it reasonably obvious. That being said, provided the colours are of the right hue and you have the box above like you've included here it would meet accessibility requirements so it would purely be personal preference. I don't see the point in the first/last game columns either, it seems WP:INDISCRIMINATE to me. There's 70 years between the 1st meeting and the 16th meeting but what's the point in telling me that if none of the other meetings are mentioned? Most head-to-head tables (and I mean by independent statisticians rather than on Wikipedia) don't include that information, most are just Pld W D L F A GD columns, sometimes with a Pts column or a win percentage column. Specific to this table, New Zealand have never played Vietnam so it would be wrong to include them in it. If they've only played South Vietnam, stick with South Vietnam. Regarding the table itself, it is still being developed for future analysis, as other teams still need to be added. Regarding the issue of having "first game" and "last game" dates, I ended up being completely inspired by the Australian team's table, and regarding the issue of adding colors to the current table, I didn't know I could do such a thing. And regarding the question of Vietnam, I ended up adding it as "Vietnam", since as South Vietnam is the predecessor recognized by FIFA of Vietnam, I trusted that it would be useful to add this team in this way. I don't quite understand what you mean by "the table ... is still being developed". Module:Sports table has been created for these table. I'd encourage you to have a look at it more in depth, it is fairly customisable so you might find what you want to achieve is there already.
On the South Vietnam thing, it doesn't really matter who the successor team is. If New Zealand have never played Vietnam then the table would be wrong if it included Vietnam. The table you have above says that New Zealand have played Vietnam once only to then have note explaining it wasn't Vietnam, it was actually South Vietnam. You can see how that is confusing. If this was the same scenario as we have with the USSR and Russia, I wouldn't mention it because it makes clear that New Zealand have played both the USSR and Russia. Would you not be better using a sandbox rather than sporadically editing a talk page for this? Stevie fae Scotland (talk) 15:40, 25 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
