AlphaTauri AT04 moved to draftspace edit

An article you recently created, AlphaTauri AT04, is not suitable as written to remain published due to lack of sources. It needs citations from reliable, independent sources and needs to be expanded. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because of the following problems: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

You may request a change of username and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page.

Creating new articles edit

I have moved Jeffrey Buis to Draft:Jeffrey Buis, because it is nowhere near ready to be an article in its present form, as a single sentence without references and without enough context for its meaning to be clear to all or even most readers. Please don't continue to create articles which aren't yet ready to be articles; instead, start them as drafts. In fact it may even be a good idea not to create them at all yet. My advice to new editors is that it is best to start by making small improvements to existing articles, rather than creating new articles. That way any mistakes you make will be small ones, and you won't have the discouraging experience of repeatedly seeing hours of work deleted. Gradually, you will get to learn how Wikipedia works, and after a while you will know enough about what is acceptable to be able to write whole new articles without fear that they will be deleted. Over the years I have found that editors who start by making small changes to existing articles and work up from there have a far better chance of having a successful time here than those who jump right into creating new articles from the start. 2022 Seoul ePrix edit

Waiting seven days for protection to expire does not void the need to provide reliable sources. I have moved 2022 Seoul ePrix to Draft:2022 Seoul ePrix for you to work on. Please do not edit the mainspace redirect until you can prove that this event (not the Seoul GP in general) is notable. You will need to use sources that aren't mere routine coverage. December 2022 edit

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Arvid Lindblad. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. For moving a draft to the main article space, please place {{subst:submit}} at the top of the draft. Alternatively, use {{draft article}} and hit the "Submit" button. Clarification for "La Zarra" edit

Hi, I wanted to ask about your recent modification on the Fatima Hafdi (formerly La Zarra) page. My concern is that the artist is mainly known by her pseudonym both nationally and internationally, so I acted as per the guidelines and used the name by which she is mainly known as the title.
Personally, I think we will have to reinstate the original title (otherwise we will have to do the same tactic for Katheryn Hudson, Ella Yelich-O'Connor or Alecia Moore, to name a few) but I still want to hear your version before making the official proposal to an administrator.

I await your reply, thank you :) -- « Ðømīnīk Cåpuån » 08:06, 14 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Red Bull Racing RB19 moved to draftspace edit

An article you recently created, Red Bull Racing RB19, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Removed GA nomination edit

Hello. I'm leaving you this message to let you know that I've removed your Good Article nomination at 2021 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. It appears you have not substantially contributed to this article before nominating it. While "drive-by" nominations have always been discouraged, there is now a consensus that they are subject to removal without review. The relevant discussion can be found here, and any further questions can be posted at Wikipedia talk:Good article nominations. Thebiguglyalien (talk) 18:39, 18 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of List of Formula One Grands Prix won by Max Verstappen edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on List of Formula One Grands Prix won by Max Verstappen requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of Formula One Grand Prix wins by Max Verstappen. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.   Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to Zhou Guanyu, it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources.   Hi Ricciardo Best! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of Lewis Hamilton several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.

All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at Talk:Lewis Hamilton, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Thank you. Belbury (talk) 14:39, 10 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, articles should not be moved, as you did to Afro-Germans, without good reason. They should have a name that is both accurate and intuitive. Wikipedia has some guidelines in place to help with this. Generally, a page should only be moved to a new title if the current name doesn't follow these guidelines. Also, if a page move is being discussed, consensus needs to be reached before anybody moves the page. If you would like to experiment with page titles and moving, please use the test Wikipedia. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. The article clearly said that the German name is "Schwarze Deutsche", not the two different [sic] forms of the name you imagined. German has a grammar, and WP has some rules about how to name a page. You are claiming that this driver is Black, which usually indicates African ancestry. Wehrlein's mother was born in Mauritius, which was uninhabited until Portuguese colonization. About 2/3 of the population of that country have Indian ancestry, and only about 28% have African ancestry. Are you aware of reliable sources that say his mother had African as opposed to Indian ancestry? Because his biography does not currently say that. Cullen328 (talk) 07:07, 9 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Can you please stop your edits to split off an article on the current Mercedes works effort?! Our articles deal with constructors, not teams. Per the official records, the 50’s and current presence of Mercedes is one and the same constructor. So a split is inappropriate. Your creation of content forks, moving of redirects, creation of drafts is getting disruptive. Proposed deletion of Us (pronoun) edit

The article Us (pronoun) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This isn't wikitionary, and this is already covered at English pronouns.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
