Miraculous: Is it distributed by Toei Company?

Hey, I'm still thinking about Miraculous Ladybug being distributed by Toei Company. I know that I have been doing my past edit on Miraculous Ladybug being distributed by Toei Company because Toei Animation is owned by Toei Company. Should I use add a "citation needed"? Or what should I do? PascalMuganyizi (talk) 18:26, 11 April 2019 (UTC)

PascalMuganyizi, I'd just WP:DROPTHESTICK on that. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 00:09, 20 April 2019 (UTC)
What's that mean? Why'd you'd WP:DROPTHESTICK on that? PascalMuganyizi (talk) 15:33, 20 April 2019 (UTC)

Crowdshipping

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Crowdshipping Hi AngusWoof. I've revised the page and updated the sources. For two of my main sources, the archive url is not working, and I seek your advice for the resolution. Other than that, please provide any feedback and recommendation and I will make the changes. Thank you very much. I'm looking forward to your feedback.

Hi Kate, it needs more background as to how the specific term came about and how widely used it is. See WP:NOTNEO and show how it is not just a recently made up term. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 20:24, 22 April 2019 (UTC)

Bitcoin SV (Satoshi Vision) article

Hi... With respect to your rejection of my BSV draft, I note that there are standalone Wiki pages for both Bitcoin Gold and Ethereum Classic, other hard forks off existing blockchains, and both of those cryptocurrencies have significantly smaller market-caps than BSV. GorgeHoward (talk) 22:48, 21 April 2019 (UTC)

GorgeHoward, you'll have to convince folks at Talk:Bitcoin Cash that you have enough coverage on the Bitcoin SV for it to now have its own article. But it needs to be more notable than the most recent AFD which is less than a year old. Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Bitcoin SV AngusWOOF (barksniff) 20:22, 22 April 2019 (UTC)

Draft:David Welch

Thanks for your feedback. Truth be told, I was not keen on writing about myself, but I was told editors of major journals in the field should have pages. But I obviously undersold myself :) I actually do meet the criteria (e.g., two named chairs and a University Research Chair), but I would rather someone else created the page anyway, so I have tagged it for deletion. Cheers, DW — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dwelch60 (talkcontribs) 19:25, 22 April 2019 (UTC)

Dwelch60, no worries. If someone writes one up, you can make sure they follow WP:NACADEMIC and if they are connected to you or your research group, they should self-disclose. There's also WP:PROUD, which, if you have a public article, people could write stuff about you that isn't always positive but fair game. You can also make suggested edits on your draft's talk page. RE: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Nora_Herting

Hi. You requested three sources to reference about wiki draft subject, Nora Herting. Here they are for your reference: 1. https://www.entrepreneur.com/article/235521 2. https://hyperallergic.com/50249/nora-herting-jc-penney-portrait-studio/ 3. https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2012/mar/25/image-think-technology-idea-diagrams

I have edited the draft according to your feedback as well. Rhashiva (talk) 15:46, 12 April 2019 (UTC)

Rhashiva, the second article is co-written by Herting, so it is considered primary. Do you have any others? AngusWOOF (barksniff) 18:26, 12 April 2019 (UTC)

Yes, here's one https://www.forbes.com/sites/deniserestauri/2015/02/19/how-ditching-your-ho-hum-powerpoint-presentation-can-make-you-a-star/#6975126e7af4 Rhashiva (talk) 19:48, 12 April 2019 (UTC)

Rhashiva, the Forbes one is coming from a contributor section so that doesn't meet reliable source per WP:RSP AngusWOOF (barksniff) 19:50, 12 April 2019 (UTC)

My mistake, I missed that requirement. Please consider this one instead https://mashable.com/2015/03/18/imagethink/#xuubqEHxRqqE Rhashiva (talk) 20:04, 12 April 2019 (UTC)

Rhashiva, please take some time to reorganize her career section as it jumps years back and forth and is rather confusing. Also list the WP:THREE sources up front there. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 00:12, 20 April 2019 (UTC)

Career section now reorganized and slightly updated for syntax. I included the three references up front there as well. Rhashiva (talk) 17:50, 23 April 2019 (UTC)

Request on 13:01, 17/04/2019 for assistance on AfC submission by AlexChristofi

Hi - the draft article for Max Porter (novelist) now has a couple of dozen references, very broad ranging from all the major UK news outlets, and reference to his numerous prize wins / nominations. This should be sufficient to establish that he is a prominent UK novelist and is often talked about without reference to any TV or film adaptation.

Alexchristofi, just the best WP:THREE would do. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 01:25, 23 April 2019 (UTC)

Regarding Submission at Articles for creation: Lee Dae-hwi (April 23)

I want to ask why did you decline the article to be reviewed, as Lee Dae-hwi's individual notability has been discussed on Deletion review, and has been declared as "Allow Review and Recreation". May you check this first, Thank you.--Otterlyhwi (talk) 01:13, 23 April 2019 (UTC) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Deletion_review/Log/2019_April_14#SECTION_HEADER_AT_THE_DELETION_REVIEW_LOG

  • Looks like a typical example of "fail per NBAND". The only thing that appears to make him notable is the songwriting credits, but those are typically overrated in this genre. Drmies (talk) 01:16, 23 April 2019 (UTC)
Otterlyhwi, you need to bring up more sources that show his notability outside of the band so that he meets WP:MUSICBIO that way. So far, he's only got a single called "Candle" to his name that made Gaon. Then apparently he's become the co-host of M Countdown. If that's going to be a long-term role, that will help him with meeting WP:ENT that way, but if he is going to go off and join another boy band AB6SIX (or whatever), then that won't help. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 01:22, 23 April 2019 (UTC)

He is indeed a fixed MC of M countdown now since April 2019, and what do you mean by he is going to go off if he will join another band? I want to ask why such a same case like this can be accepted, like what happened with Park Woo-jin (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Park_Woo-jin) He also is notable by his songwriting credits. If this article is going be evaluated objectively, please do so. Thank you, and sorry if I sounded rude.--Otterlyhwi (talk) 01:32, 23 April 2019 (UTC)

Otterlyhwi, as it stands, his career is still borderline notability whether it be WP:MUSICBIO, WP:COMPOSER, or WP:ENT. If you have secondary news articles that focus on Lee's career himself and not in the context of his bands, then you should bring those up for consideration and then he could possibly meet WP:GNG or WP:ANYBIO that way. The draft won't be deleted, unless it's been tendentiously submitted at low quality without improvement. By joining another band, I meant that if he is only there on M Countdown for a few episodes as with the guest formats they had been doing for the past few years, and then he leaves to join AB6SIX, then it's not really a permanent job but a guest host job. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 01:45, 23 April 2019 (UTC)

Thank you for your feedback. I have added new source[1] which focused on Lee's career in the draft. For your information, M Countdown has changed their program format since April 4, 2019, of which before this they used guest and Global MC Crew as host(s). But since the new changes, they didnt use that system anymore and Lee has been pointed as their permanent MC with Han Hyun-min. [2] I honestly wondering if there is such standard(s) of which the subject should achieve to get his notability, since user Drmies had said that some criteria can be seen as 'overrated'. I have asked on Tea talk regarding this but no one responded. If adding this new references can help to fix the miscommunication part, kindly tell me if there's anything that I should fix.--Otterlyhwi (talk) 02:49, 23 April 2019 (UTC)

References

Otterlyhwi, the article was moved to mainspace now thanks to Zanhe. The new information about Gaon and M Countdown needed to be added first and shown up front for WP:MUSICBIO purposes: "To meet Wikipedia's standards for verifiability and notability, the article in question must actually document that the criterion is true. " AngusWOOF (barksniff) 14:38, 23 April 2019 (UTC)

  • I do not think that people like Park Woo-jin should be called "songwriters". If so, then every single artist who ever wrote a song for their own band or whatever should be called "songwriter", with a table full of titles. Imagine we did that for Neil Young. Drmies (talk) 17:22, 23 April 2019 (UTC)
I've cleaned up the songwriter section, getting rid of songs he wrote for himself and for Wanna One. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 17:45, 23 April 2019 (UTC)

Fred Again page

Hi There,

Thank you for taking the time out to review the Fred again draft! I seem to be having a bit of trouble getting the page published and was hoping you could point me in the correct direction to get this published? I've seen our comment about removing discogs cite's which I'm the process of doing now. Could you please give me a list of viable sources I could use? At the moment I'm trying to use as much from Allmusic as possible but unfortunately, not all of his work is mentioned on there.

Thank you very much.

Jkaiser91 (talk) 15:32, 23 April 2019 (UTC)Jkaiser91Jkaiser91 (talk) 15:32, 23 April 2019 (UTC)

Jkaiser91, you'll have to look at WP:COMPOSER and explain how Fred Again is notable from that perspective. You'll need news sources that go into Fred Again's career but aren't direct one-on-one interviews. Discogs is not a reliable source as it is user-generated. Allmusic should be used sparingly. WP:RSP has a number of general sources, but you'll want to find reputable music journals / magazines and not random blogs. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 23:01, 24 April 2019 (UTC)

Reorx911 (talk) 01:13, 24 April 2019 (UTC) in regards to your flippant dismissal of this post submission: How is citing two major motion pictures and one of the largest record production labels in existence "coming from her own production"? I'd love to give you the opportunity to explain yourself before this is reported for moderator bias and discriminatory action without cause, and of course negligence, as your reasoning clearly proves you did not investigate this publication attempt whatsoever. How embarrassing. Reorx911 (talk) 01:13, 24 April 2019 (UTC)

Reorx911, you're citing IMDb. See Wikipedia:Citing IMDb. You're also citing Spotify, Tunefind, and Universal Production Music. These are either primary sources or vendors that are connected to her, or her own website. Please read WP:INDY. You need sources that are independent. At this point, you have not provided any news articles about Song that go into her career. You're welcome to resubmit this but it will still have to meet WP:MUSICBIO regardless if whether I review it or any of the other AFC reviewers see it. Request for Assistance on AfC Submission

Hi, I wrote an article on copyright and infringement of memes which was rejected for not having sufficient content for an independent article and not being an encyclopedic article. I have gone ahead and added some more content and I believe that the content would be sufficient for a standalone article, rather than merging it under another article. If it is merged it could lead to lot of confusion for readers who specifically want to study the area. Further, the article has used secondary sources and does not have opinions per se. Considering, how memes are currently in vogue and their copyright still in question, the page provides information as to how courts have gone about in the past in deciding similar matters of copyright. The page provides information into the reasoning of the court so that people are more informed about the kind of memes they create and the possible copyright infringement that could occur in the creation of those memes. I request you to please re-review the draft. Thank you! — Preceding unsigned comment added by WrightPhoenix (talkcontribs) 15:10, 24 April 2019 (UTC)

WrightPhoenix, it should be incorporated into the article as with Mashup (video)#Copyright issues, but if you think there's enough for a standalone, as with YouTube copyright issues, then you can organize it like those articles. I will rename it to Meme copyright issues. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 16:42, 24 April 2019 (UTC)

Draft:Rotation of senators after a double dissolution

Hi Angus, you rejected Draft:Rotation of senators after a double dissolution on the basis that it does not have sufficient content and suggested instead I merge it with another article (after discussing it on the talk page). I have since added four more sections to it (the text only, still need to add more references to some sections). It now reflects my expectation of the amount of content it is due, though other editors may wish to add more. Can you please clarify whether this amount is still 'insufficient'? I suspect it has too much detail on this particular controversy for the double dissolution page, though no other editors have commented there yet. Oz freediver (talk) 01:06, 25 April 2019 (UTC)

Update: one of the other admins has commented in favour of separate articles and suggested adding more content to address 'recentism'.Oz freediver (talk) 01:18, 25 April 2019 (UTC)

Oz freediver, it would help if the lead paragraph in the draft explained the context of the topic and also had links to the double dissolution article. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 01:28, 25 April 2019 (UTC)

Draft:H&K Group, Inc.

Hello; you previously reviewed and declined this draft on 2/25/19. I have made the changes you pointed out, and stripped the page down considerably. As I made the editorial changes based on the guidance of your specific notes, it should now be acceptable. I understand that it could take up to two months to be re-reviewed, as Wikipedia states, but with 3 weeks passing I figured it could do no harm to simply let you know that the page has been resubmitted. Thank you! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rmanfredijr (talkcontribs) 12:40, 5 April 2019 (UTC)

Rmanfredijr, can you identify WP:THREE articles that significantly describe H&K Group, and that are not connected to the subject? AngusWOOF (barksniff) 23:57, 19 April 2019 (UTC)

Thank you for getting back to me. Here you go:

1) http://www.thebluebook.com/eastern-pennsylvania-and-delaware/articles/high-principles.-hands-on-practice.html - The Blue Book Network is a national publication that connects close to half a million building and construction companies across the United States, and they have been an institution for over 100 years. This profile of H&K was the cover story for the Spring 2017 edition.

2) https://www.constructionequipmentguide.com/nascar-drivers-laud-handks-paving-work-at-pocono-raceway/18542 - H&K repaved NASCAR's Pocono Raceway in 2012, only the third repave of Pocono since it opened in 1968. H&K and the repave project were the subjects of this article in the July 2012 national edition of Construction Equipment Guide. Jeff Gordon and Greg Biffle are quoted praising the work of H&K in the piece. Pocono is tied for the second-largest NASCAR track in America (after Talladega).

3) https://www.senatormensch.com/2017/07/21/august-2017-hk-group/ - PA State Senator Bob Mensch made H&K the focus of the August 2017 episode of his monthly web series "The Mensch Report" , in which Senator Mensch visited H&K's facilities and interviewed CEO Scott Haines and COO Jim Haines. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rmanfredijr (talkcontribs) 16:05, 25 April 2019 (UTC)

Draft:Trans Euro Trail

Hey there, thanks for giving me hints on what was missing on my first article in the English wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Trans_Euro_Trail). I added more information and references, and linked quite some text now. Better and acceptable now? Thanks and have a nice day, Schwenn (talk) 14:25, 18 April 2019 (UTC)

Schwenn, you need more secondary sources that show the founding / naming / approval of the trail and its maintenance. As it goes across multiple countries, how is it maintained and managed? AngusWOOF (barksniff) 20:28, 22 April 2019 (UTC)
AngusWOOF, thanks for the input. I now added 3 more references about foundation, maintainance by the Linesmen and the trademark stuff. Ok now for publishing? --Schwenn (talk) 15:43, 24 April 2019 (UTC)
Schwenn, it needs articles independent of the organization itself. Do you have some major newspapers that discuss the TET? AngusWOOF (barksniff) 23:14, 24 April 2019 (UTC)
AngusWOOF, well, this is a kind of a self-organising community and the Linesmen keep "their" country up2date. I will put links from independent motorcycle magazins in the article, pls check again - thanks :). --Schwenn (talk) 06:50, 25 April 2019 (UTC)

Chislou (talk) 17:04, 15 March 2019 (UTC)

Chislou I've gone ahead and fixed the references. It needs to go into detail on what books she wrote and how they were received by critics. Were there any that were best-sellers, or did she get any rewards? When she ranked number one, was it a relative ranking, like hers was the best, or she was just listed among a bunch of other authors the newspaper writer recommended. Do you have any news articles that go into Wilkins's life and career in more detail? AngusWOOF (barksniff) 18:10, 15 March 2019 (UTC)

Thanks very much for amending the references and I'm sorry I didn't understand the instruction :)

I have the following link about her personal life and providing the citation for her marriage: https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/comedy/features/secrets-of-comedy-couples-whats-it-like-when-both-you-and-your-partner-are-stand-ups-10424981.html

Her stand up comedy reviews are hosted on chortle which is a fairly official comedy source: https://www.chortle.co.uk/comics/c/33491/catie_wilkins/review

Aside from those two Guardian reviews all of her book reviews are by book bloggers which likely wouldn't count as proper sources

The Independent ranking was more a placement in their list, the first of its kind. She hasn't been in best seller lists, just ranks highly on amazon when they do kindle offers

She was nommed for a FAB book award: http://catherinewilkins.co.uk/latest-news/60/fab_book_awards_nomination.html

Does any of this help?

Thanks again for being so helpful! Sorry to be such a wiki dunce :)

Chislou (talk) 18:52, 15 March 2019 (UTC)

See if you can find some sources that would meet WP:THREE and post them towards the top of the article in the AFC comments section If they are detailed and cover Wilkins's career, then those would be best. The book reviews are good, they should be talked about more in a career section, like "Wilkins released a children's book (book 1 title) in 2012. It concerns the (premise brief plot summary). The book became a (accolades and best-seller rankings if appropriate). (Critic) of (critic magazine) wrote that (quote)" I'm not really doing much else behind the scenes. The marriage and children stuff can be supported by other news articles that mention both her husband and herself. You don't need to include the references where her husband just passively mentions "my wife Catie", but there are some good articles that go into more details like https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/comedy/features/secrets-of-comedy-couples-whats-it-like-when-both-you-and-your-partner-are-stand-ups-10424981.html Hope that helps! Hi. I have gone into more detail about her comedy and about the podcast, and submitted the changes for approval. The Catherine 'Catie' Wilkins titling you have done is a good idea, as she works in equal amounts under both names. Thank you for your continued help.

Chislou (talk) 20:20, 15 March 2019 (UTC)

Can you write up more about her comedy background and the subjects she covers? Same with the Drunk Women podcast. The comedy seems to be her main occupation, so I moved that up. Also had to tweak more of the references, please take a look. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 22:31, 15 March 2019 (UTC)
Should her article be renamed to Catie Wilkins? That seems to be her stage name for her comedy act, where she uses the full Catherine in her books. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 22:33, 15 March 2019 (UTC)

Chislou, I bounced this back to you for more feedback. It needs to be organized more concerning the history of his career. It sounds like she is a comedian first, and then author and podcaster later. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 23:26, 19 April 2019 (UTC)

Thanks, I have rearranged the text to make it flow chronologically. She started comedy in 2004 whilst working on her books, then got published in 2012 when she did her final Edinburgh show and took a break from comedy to be an author, then returned to comedy in the podcast in 2018. Cellemetry data services

You had asked me to list three sources for this article. Here they are:

first source - [1] This is a book on Personal Communications (the all encompassing name that was used for the many services / uses for cellular at the time). This book goes on to cover numerous other technology / services / data networks of the time.
second source - [2] This is another book that covers Cellemetry.
third source - [3] During this time, cellular was a rapidly developing industry / Technology and much of the news was covered in industry publications. RCR was one of the premier publications.

I have also put these on the Cellemetry page.

Note - if you would like news paper articles, SEC filings, etc. please let me know.

Let me know if the edits look good. Thanks for reformatting the article. This makes it much easier to read and understand. — Preceding unsigned comment added by CSYguy (talkcontribs)

Leeuk01, those are press release kind of announcements that don't really go into detail on the station. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 22:04, 13 April 2019 (UTC)

Hi AngusWOOF. I'm not sure what else can be added if there simply isn't any more information available on the internet at this time. I believe the links that have been added are credible sources. Content has to begin somewhere to generate more content thereafter and that's what we're attempting to do here. Wikipedia is continually being added to and edited, and I believe over time this page will also experience the same growth. Thanks.

My post

Hi Angus! I saw you reviewed my ENOUGH! coalition wikipage. The problem is you changed the name to chega, and that’s not right. The name for the coalition is Basta!, the name for the party itself is Chega. That’s the page for the coalition, not the party. Rodrigospascoal (talk) 10:01, 27 April 2019 (UTC)

Are you sure? I looked at the official website provided, and the organization calls itself Partido Politico CHEGA. I'll rename to Basta then, but it isn't "Enough!" They don't use the English name at all. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 13:30, 27 April 2019 (UTC)
Rodrigospascoal, this news article [1] says they have three different proposed names: 1) Chega, 2) Coalition Enough (which got confused with Europe Enough) 3) Basta AngusWOOF (barksniff) 13:46, 27 April 2019 (UTC)
AngusWOOF, Yep, they first tried the name Chega and the court said it couldn’t be named like that because the party had that name, then they tried “Europe Enough” (Europa Chega) and it wasn’t approved because it had the political party name still, then they tried Basta and it was approved.
Rodrigospascoal, thanks, you should put that into the history section of the group. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 14:06, 27 April 2019 (UTC)
Rodrigospascoal, can you put that name changing article into the history section? That would help explain things. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 14:16, 29 April 2019 (UTC)
Rodrigospascoal, can you add dates or years as to when the proposals to form the party and to name the party? AngusWOOF (barksniff) 18:26, 30 April 2019 (UTC)
AngusWOOF Done! I think it's fine now. Rodrigospascoal (talk) 20:45, 30 April 2019 (UTC)

Draft:Rita McGhee

Thank you for reviewing. I've left a comment on the draft page. E-Stylus (talk) 21:40, 27 April 2019 (UTC)

Hi AngusWOOF - I've worked on removing the peacock language for Draft:Rita McGhee. If possible, can you take a look and let me know if further revisions are needed to meet the guidelines for encyclopedic format? Thanks. E-Stylus (talk) 19:07, 29 April 2019 (UTC)
E-Stylus, it looks good. I pushed it through. Congrats! AngusWOOF (barksniff) 19:20, 29 April 2019 (UTC)
Thanks AngusWOOF. E-Stylus (talk) 19:39, 29 April 2019 (UTC)
Thanks for fixing the article's filmography and television sections. Reliable secondary sources for the remaining crew roles appear to be limited. Since referencing IMDb would be a disputed usage per WP:CITEIMDB, can you recommend any sources for film/TV credits that I can research further? E-Stylus (talk) 20:33, 30 April 2019 (UTC)
E-Stylus, if you've seen the actual television episodes or films and saw her crew role, you can cite the actual film or episode. I put "Press" for the cases where she self-publishes in her own resume/website, but replacing that with a cite to the actual film would be better. Or even more so, those Variety reviews that spell out her role as a secondary source and even comment on her work. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 00:57, 1 May 2019 (UTC)
Thanks for the helpful info. E-Stylus (talk) 13:15, 1 May 2019 (UTC)

Ramniram had insisted on moving the article to mainspace, despite it not being ready from draft. I dream of horses can you make sure your tag concerns have been addressed? AngusWOOF (barksniff) 14:15, 29 April 2019 (UTC)
I dream of horses and AngusWOOF I have added more references in early life and education section as per you have suggested me. I will be happy to know any more suggestions you have. So, I can improve this page more. Gladly waiting for both of your expert replies. Thank You :) (Ramniram (talk) 02:10, 30 April 2019 (UTC))

Request on 18:24:03, 30 April 2019 for assistance on AfC submission by James007Byrn

I am trying to make a wikipedia page at the request of composer Stephen Melillo. He does not have a Wikipedia page.

James007Byrn (talk) 18:24, 30 April 2019 (UTC)

You need to write a biography or description of Stephen Melillo from scratch and in your own words. Do not copy-paste verbiage from his website. Also you need to find secondary source news articles independent of the subject that discuss Melillo's career and life. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 18:28, 30 April 2019 (UTC)
James007Byrn, also if you are connected to the subject, you need to disclose that per WP:COI AngusWOOF (barksniff) 18:29, 30 April 2019 (UTC)

Request on 18:37:47, 30 April 2019 for assistance on AfC submission by Drashtimehta03

Hi Angus,

I am struggling with submitting an article on wikipedia - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raymann_Rayy. I see you have been reviewing the page and you are good at this. I am new to this but getting this article approved can help a lot :). Can you please help me out?

Thanks in advance

Drashtimehta03 (talk) 18:37, 30 April 2019 (UTC)

Drashtimehta03 you need to go to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Raymann Rayy and explain why this article should stay in mainspace. You need to provide news articles that show the actor/musician is notable. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 18:40, 30 April 2019 (UTC)

Liquid Mind XII: Peace, submission assistance

Hello AngusWOOF,

Thanks for your comments and submission feedback for Draft:Liquid_Mind_XII:_Peace. I see that you've made quite a few edits to the draft and removed much of the proposed content.

I'd appreciate talking with you about an important point. I believe the subject has more than enough notability to qualify for its own article instead of merely being merged with Chuck Wild's Wikipedia page.

The album is unique in its approach to conflict resolution. I've searched Wikipedia and the broader Internet for articles and topics such as "conflict resolution music" and find very little useful content. In my opinion, merging the 12th album with the artist page would bury it... not giving it sufficient space to define and explain the work on its own special merits.

That's why I spent a great deal of time and effort on the draft.

In addition, there are many Wikipedia articles about albums which are separate from their main artist's page. Andy Pratt (singer-songwriter) and Andy Pratt (album) are good examples.

Any time, advice or tips you care to provide would be appreciated. Thanks again. Art101 (talk) 19:57, 30 April 2019 (UTC)Art101

Art101, if you can find more secondary music reviews or news articles on the album, something to show it will meet WP:NALBUM. Has it charted anywhere? AngusWOOF (barksniff) 19:59, 30 April 2019 (UTC)

Draft Evan Alex

Commented only one source, but several are referenced. Can you please explain which source you approved?

He only has the one role in the Us film. But there needs to be more roles in major productions for him to meet WP:ENT AngusWOOF (barksniff) 20:10, 30 April 2019 (UTC)

I updated the article to highlight his role as Ralph in Showtime's Kidding with Jim Carrey. It was referenced in sources, but I mistakenly did not mention it as prominently. So that has been corrected.

Kidding's not a major role, he isn't starring or even listed in the recurring cast. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 01:28, 1 May 2019 (UTC)

Hello, I am reaching out for some insight as it's my first time doing this. My article for creation was rejected. I am trying to understand the issue more. Is it possible for you to go into more detail as to why it was rejected so I can make an attempt at fixing it, if possible?

1. My plot got removed as a canned response. I am the person who originally wrote that quote. Do I need to write a new one? 2. The recommendations - They should be added to their own respective Headings with websites sited. Is This correct? --Sxotthamilton (talk) 05:37, 1 May 2019 (UTC)

Sxotthamilton (talk) 04:44, 1 May 2019 (UTC)

Sxotthamilton, you need more news sources that discuss the film. How was it produced? When was it released? It needs critics reviews, box office results if any, festivals entered and won. see WP:NFILM for what makes a film notable. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 04:46, 1 May 2019 (UTC)

Revisions

Thank you for moving my article; however, is has been since March when I revised it. I think the list option is better. I see the messages in the boxed prompts indicating to be patient about the review process, but since it was moved so quickly, I was hoping another review could be done. In addition, because I taught a course in which my students and I edited and wrote Wikipedia articles, should our work be reviewed by someone on the WikiEducation team? Thanks again. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mshemberger (talkcontribs)

Mshemberger, maybe you can check out Wikipedia:Student assignments and how it can be tagged as such if you are using the draft article process for teaching purposes? It just needs some more sources to show that making lists of films about journalism is something writers do and publish. See WP:LISTN. Kind of like List of James Bond gadgets, which I've had to scrub a lot recently. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 19:01, 1 May 2019 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Draft:Rajshekhar Rajaharia

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Draft:Rajshekhar Rajaharia requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, such as at Articles for deletion. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Robert McClenon (talk) 20:35, 1 May 2019 (UTC)

I goofed, and tagged the MFD rather than the draft itself. I then reverted that tagging and have tagged the draft instead. Robert McClenon (talk) 20:57, 1 May 2019 (UTC)
Robert McClenon, no worries, thanks again for cleaning that up. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 02:48, 2 May 2019 (UTC)

DYK for Wells Gray Park Cave discovery

On 2 May 2019, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Wells Gray Park Cave discovery, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that a newly discovered cave has been temporarily named after a Star Wars character? You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Wells Gray Park Cave discovery), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Draft:ALLA AAMIN PHARMACEUTICAL IMPORT COMPANY

Hi - I think we were declining that draft simultaneously. Quick question - I noticed that you CSDed it for G11 - I had forgotten that we could do that for drafts, I always decline and offer advice. I've just been back to re-read the guidelines, and agree with you that was totally blatant. So, good call, and thanks for the unintentional reminder. Cheers GirthSummit (blether) 16:42, 2 May 2019 (UTC)

Girth Summit, no worries, thanks for jumping on those. If it reads like an ad, and has no chance of being improved in that state, then I mark "adv" on AFCH and then send to CSD G11. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 16:45, 2 May 2019 (UTC)

Miwako Date

Thanks a lot for your comments and suggestions. I reworked and updated the submission, following your suggestions.

Updated

AngusWoof, You were right about that one source. I didn't realize it was a press release. But no matter. It was just an extra to accompany the source right before it that backed up Infinite Energy going into the Texas market. I deleted it.

But I think my sources are good, no? One is from a publication in Gainesville, Florida. One is from a publication in Ocala, Florida. Two are from publications in Georgia, where this company does business. And a fifth source is from Energy Choice Matters.

I see this company has a bunch of awards. Would it help if I built a section highlighting those awards with links to the different groups--some national--that presented them?

DolphinianDolphinian (talk) 14:36, 25 April 2019 (UTC)

Dolphinian, again, it is more useful to have more secondary sources that discuss the company in detail. If the awards can be linked to other Wikipedia articles then that would show they are notable industry awards. The national awards would be worth retaining. If it's just some local community award it may not be that notble. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 17:59, 26 April 2019 (UTC)
Dolphinian, it looks like the article has been approved. Congrats! AngusWOOF (barksniff) 22:22, 3 May 2019 (UTC)

dlee1964

Dlee1964 (talk) 00:03, 5 May 2019 (UTC)I saw that my initial article about Dawn Smith (Jordan) was declined. Your reasons seemed to be that she is only "mentioned" in passing in the Larry Gene Bell Article and totally ignores the fact that the references clearly indicate she was Miss South Carolina in 1986 and 2nd runner up to Miss America. Further, she is also listed on the Wikipedia Miss South Carolina page where I also tried to link to the page I created. Is this not sufficient? If not, please explain why this does not qualify as "notable."

Dlee1964 (talk) 00:03, 5 May 2019 (UTC)My article was only intended to be a beginning. There are more items that can be added and can be added in time. She has recorded albums in her singing career, runs a successful speaking ministry and has written a book, Grace So Amazing (https://www.amazon.com/Grace-So-Amazing-Life-Shattering-Tragedy/dp/0891076999). I wanted to wait until I could find the references before I added the additional information. While I have your attention, can you also tell me how to link Dawn Smith to Dawn Smith Jordan (her married name)?

dlee1964, can you throw in more news articles about her? I only see two from local newspapers. Are there some more other ones that aren't press releases. For example, https://www.heraldcourier.com/community/south-carolina-woman-to-share-her-story-of-forgiveness-after/article_793f6eae-3498-11e8-9641-e3d159123c87.html is a press release, http://seelemag.com/blog//dawn-smith-jordan is an interview. Those are mostly primary sources connected to the subject. I will rename to Dawn Smith Jordan. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 14:50, 3 May 2019 (UTC)

Dlee1964 (talk) 00:03, 5 May 2019 (UTC)Ok, I have added a significant additional information that should make the article more solid. I must say the comments that being a runner-up in Miss Americe is not sufficiently notable is inconsistent with the fact that Ali Rogers has an approved page and this is basically her entire claim to fame. Nevertheless, Dawn has significantly more which (again) I have added with my latest edit.

Thanks for putting the article through! I had heard about the festival and was surprised it didn't have an article here. Wosella5 (talk) 06:37, 4 May 2019 (UTC)

Draft:Self-Aware Computing

Dear AngusWOOF

Thanks for pointing out the overlap with Autonomic computing. The vision of autonomic computing from 2003 can be seen as a predecessor for self-aware computing systems that have been defined over a decade later and has significantly evolved. The core differences are: Autonomic computing does not strictly integrate ongoing learning - in other words continuous self-improvement. In contrast to Autonomic computing, Self-aware computing systems are not strictly required to act - they can also suggest and explain to human users, as a form of a artificial intelligence engine. If self-aware computing would be merged with autonomic computing, this would make this evolution and core differences hard to communicate to the reader in a compact way. Should we propose a reference from Autonomic computing to Draft:Self-Aware Computing already before is has been accepted?

Thanks for checking the arguments for not merging.

Best regards

You might want to start a discussion on whether to split off Self-aware computing from Autonomic computing. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 20:23, 6 May 2019 (UTC)

A barnstar for you!

  The Brilliant Idea Barnstar
Hello Sir, nice to meet you hope you will be good I have problem in writing a biography on Wikipedia. Can you please instruct me to fix it? FaahadKhan (talk) 19:51, 6 May 2019 (UTC)

FaahadKhan, I assume you're talking about Draft:Chinecherem Eze? You need to clean up the references there. Do not cite IMDb. Also please find secondary source news articles that are not interviews or press releases that focus on Eve's career. You should also describe her lead roles in major productions. What shows or films was she the billed star? This is so she can meet notability as an actress WP:ENT. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 19:55, 6 May 2019 (UTC)

FaahadKhan, you need to get rid of the references to IMDB. That is not a reliable source. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 20:12, 6 May 2019 (UTC)

FaahadKhan

Respected AngusWOOF, I have changed all the previous stuff, I want you to review on it. I hope that it will satisfy you. I am waiting for your good response Thank you very much.

Barkeep49, this has been ongoing at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Draft:Chamupa Unlimited. Do you want everyone to chime in at AFD now? AngusWOOF (barksniff) 02:35, 8 May 2019 (UTC)
AngusWOOF Well that's aggravating.Yeah I'm not sure what we do in a case where there's a draft at MfD and the article has also been created in mainspace. Best, Barkeep49 (talk) 02:46, 8 May 2019 (UTC)
Barkeep49, let's just keep the AFD going. Can get more feedback there. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 02:49, 8 May 2019 (UTC)

Draft Article

Hello again AngusWOOF,it's been more than a month since I worked on the article Draft:Alliance School Kermanshah which you declined to take out of the draft, but it is still there and no one has touched it.I wonder if you could check this forgotten article again. It is good that you help me create better articles.Thank you Alex-h (talk) 19:03, 13 April 2019 (UTC)

Alex-h, can you explain what you meant by "was". Is the school no longer around? AngusWOOF (barksniff) 19:07, 13 April 2019 (UTC)
AngusWOOF , I just added some information showing this school does not exist any more(after Iran's anti-monarchy revolution). If you take a look at my articles, the scope of my work is human rights and history. I don't know much about schools.I translated this article from Wikipedia Persian. It is now ready for your checking. Alex-h (talk) 14:35, 14 April 2019 (UTC)
Alex-h, it's difficult to keep as a separate article when it could be added as a single paragraph in the Alliance Israélite Universelle article or can be expanded upon in a new [List of Alliance Israélite Universelle schools]] with an entry like:
But I'll let other reviewers check for this. WP:WITHIN suggests it be merged. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 00:18, 20 April 2019 (UTC)
Alex-h, I accepted the article as a stub. Thanks for cleaning it up. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 13:24, 8 May 2019 (UTC)

Draft: Joe Laresca

This draft is highly self-promotional of both himself and his social media agency. The subject does not meet notability requirements per my understanding. In addition, his sources are primarily articles he wrote and websites he created. I see you originally rejected it - they resubmitted but not much has changed. I would hate to see a page like this created. As an aspiring AFC editor am I missing something? Or do you agree? Any insight would be appreciated.

Drsammyjohnson (talk) 20:26, 29 April 2019 (UTC)drsammyjohnson

Drsammyjohnson, that sounds like a fair assessment. It doesn't appear to be blatant advertising, but if it reads like that, then you could recommend CSD G11. The question is also whether it even has a chance of being notable. Are there any news articles included that would meet WP:GNG. I'd also have him get rid of all the embedded links such as Harvard Business School and change them to links related to Wikipedia such as Harvard Business School. Also the article lacks the references that even connect Laresca to Harvard Business School. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 21:16, 29 April 2019 (UTC)

Thank you for the feedback. The reason I think it reads as advertising is because I can't see any accomplishments that would meet WP:GNG so I can't understand the purpose other than self-promotion. Taking certification courses from prestigious universities (leaning on their credibility) and running social media for someone on television doesn't equal notability as far I can tell. I will look up CSD G11 as I'm unfamiliar with it. Thank you for your help. 21:46, 8 May 2019 (UTC)DrSammyJohnson

Request on 07:28:11, 8 May 2019 for assistance on AfC submission by Markoid72

Hi, we have a sister organisation that has a wikipedia entry - listed as a stub page. How can we publish a stub page? Kind regards Mark

Markoid72 (talk) 07:28, 8 May 2019 (UTC)

Markoid72, you need to find news articles that cover your organization, not just statements from the organization itself. No press releases. See WP:ORGCRIT. It also needs context as to when it was formed and what it does. You should also read WP:MILL as that has guidelines as to what is not likely to be notable such as "A local club supporting a hobby or interest, or a local organization promoting some cause" to make sure your organization is notable way beyond the local community. There are plenty of good organizations that don't have or require a Wikipedia page. if the organization is part of a larger one, perhaps it can be added to that article? Also I would read and declare WP:COI as you seem to be connected to the organization. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 15:41, 8 May 2019 (UTC)

Lamberghini (song)

Hey @AngusWOOF: Thank you for improving Draft:Lamberghini (song). Regards - CptViraj (talk) 01:59, 2 May 2019 (UTC)
CptViraj, can you throw in more news sources for the song reception? It seems to be covered in lots of mainstream media, so that would help boost notability for the song. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 02:47, 2 May 2019 (UTC)
AngusWOOF , Okay i will try my best to find news resources. Btw i have temporary removed song cover art as per Wikipedia:Drafts's How Drafts Works section.
AngusWOOF Hey please check out reception now.
CptViraj, how about some more news articles from notable news sources to describe the reception of the song, like (writer) of (journal) wrote that (quote). AngusWOOF (barksniff) 16:47, 2 May 2019 (UTC)
CptViraj, in the meantime, you can try to get a version of your picture approved on Commons; that's a separate process from AFC. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 16:48, 2 May 2019 (UTC)
AngusWOOF, Okay!
CptViraj, it looks like it got moved to mainspace without being reviewed by AFC anymore. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 00:19, 10 May 2019 (UTC)

Hey Angus

Hey, thanks for the notice. I'm very new to publishing on wiki. I thought I had clicked an option that said i was directly related to the article I was publishing about. Anyways, you've got a cool page. Maybe you can check out our site and let us know your thoughts. It's supposed to be like a quora/reddit. I'm aiming for a reddit 2.0. Here's an example post. https://www.auxo-gen.com/discussions/samurai-shodown-Joe-Davies Your thoughts would be much appreciated!

Thanks again, Victor--AuxoGen (talk) 13:12, 8 May 2019 (UTC)

The main thing is to get the article to meet WP:ORGCRIT. So you need to find secondary news sources that describe the company that are not connected to the subject. No press releases or company literature / website. Also your name is too closely connected to the company, you might want to change it. And if you are connected to the company then you should disclosed that per WP:COI AngusWOOF (barksniff) 00:15, 10 May 2019 (UTC)

Lapablo, it seems like the editor is filling the bio with a pile of sources, but not integrating them into the article. The editor needs to list out their top WP:THREE sources and they should be significant coverage reliable sources that are independent of the subject. So no press releases, no convention profiles, no trivial mentions (employment announcements), no articles written by Julian himself. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 22:43, 11 May 2019 (UTC)
* AngusWOOF Some of the sources are links to Youtube queries on the subject name, and a press release. Lapablo (talk) 22:48, 11 May 2019 (UTC)
Lapablo, I would throw out the Google searches. Those aren't citations to reliable sources. Press releases needed to be cited with {{cite press release}}. They can still stay around for WP:SELFPUB but do not contribute to notability for the person, which is the main issue for Drafts. So you can find (or they should present to you) the three sources that show notability, then that's good enough. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 22:58, 11 May 2019 (UTC)
  • Thanks a million, i appreciate your time. Lapablo (talk) 23:04, 11 May 2019 (UTC)

The Thief of Talent

Dear Angus WOOF, as the instructor for the course in which the article "The Thief of Talent" was drafted, I appreciate your taking the time to read over two of my students' articles, even though you rejected both of them. I would recommend, however, that you do not accuse my students of plagiarism. Just because they write well and are sophisticated, critical thinkers does not mean that they "swiped" material from another site. No one likes being accused of cheating with no basis. It would be different if you located any source of a "swipe"- that would certainly be worthy of mention, and I have found that myself in articles. I do hope that you will keep this in mind in the future.

*Yseut229*, it's more that their writing is so sophisticated that there was a strong possibility it was submitted to a journal or website, even if the site is to your school. Or possible original research WP:NOR Or that someone took it from your students. That's why I recommended adding more references, which seems to be done now. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 01:52, 13 May 2019 (UTC)
*Yseut229*, I would add {{Dashboard.wikiedu.org assignment}} to the talk page for the draft. That might be helpful. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 01:59, 13 May 2019 (UTC)

Forest Glen Elementary School

I understand that this information may not be enough to create a page, may I add it to the Glen Ellyn Illinois page under Forest Glen? Carlybasler (talk) 14:48, 7 May 2019 (UTC)

Carlybasler, I see the entry there. That's fine for now. If you want, you could work on creating the school district one. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 00:28, 15 May 2019 (UTC)

ViewPoint Model

Hello Angus, I assume you have overseen the content of the footnotes 11 and 12, which eliminates your rightful concerns for verifiability. In fact, these confirmations of the Defence Force organisation ICCPM and auditing firm KPMG provides the required evidence that Wikipedia should insist proudly from other contributors too. With reference to the link: the "ViewPoint Model (VPM)" should not link to 'view model' as it addresses another topic. I trust I could clarify the matter for securing the next steps. Thank you so much for your effort - much appreciated. Zsoltnyiri (talk) 20:36, 14 May 2019 (UTC)

Zsoltnyiri, the article is still missing the context of why it should be Wikipedia notable. It's strongly technical and doesn't show its use outside of a handful of organizations. You need sources outside of the organizations that conceived of the model as the vast majority of journal articles support Viewpoint model in general and not the ISCM / ICCPM version. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 21:57, 14 May 2019 (UTC)
Zsoltnyiri, regarding reference 11 and 12, those appear to be emails / memos, are you sure those are supposed to be public? They don't help notability though since they are by the companies that directly work on the product, and we need secondary sources independent of the subject for it to meet WP:GNG AngusWOOF (barksniff) 22:05, 14 May 2019 (UTC)

Dear Angus, I took note of your observation - thank you for your valuable comment. In previous writing attempts, the information was included that the VPM measured the perceptions of the stakeholders and that such computed values were included in the scenario planning simulations. One could forecast why and under which circumstances projects fail as to intervene with a preview rather than costly reviews. That alone makes it very notable.

The various work study/assignment papers at hand were conducted for military, corporates and Government projects with the strictest confidentiality in place. The method (based on systems thinking) and tools (using system dynamics modelling) is another notable differentiator from traditional planning approaches. The ViewPoint Model uses non-traditional mathematical toolsets to forecast project outcomes and costing as it relies on non-linear approaches, while current toolsets are still linear in nature.

Because the system dynamic tools can forecast (i.e. thermodynamics for weather forecast), it was also able to 'backcast' and provide proof of why (the cause) there was a deviation from the expected project outcome. The VPM (included an Impact Analyzer tool) was used in various out-of-court-settlement arrangements to claim from service & support suppliers compensation (for example failed SAP projects). The exposure of such work studies and mentioning of clients is from a legal perspective not permitted. Hence, the verifiable evidence from only two work studies are attached, but therefore from two highly respected organisations are mentioned in the Reference section. Actually, I should remove the references 11 & 12 - it is just not appropriate for a Wikipedia. Allow me to re-think the wordings for making it notable and see if I can create a workaround for the before-mentioned situation. Thank you again for taking the time to respond in such a nimble manner. I truly appreciate your comments.

Perhaps, some of the information of my response would be meeting the criteria 'notable'? Please let me know if you consider the "backcasting and forecasting capability of the ViewPoint Model" is making it a notable entry!? Greetings, Zsoltnyiri (talk) 23:03, 14 May 2019 (UTC)

Draft: Jill Stein (OBE)

Hello there,

Can you take another look at my page for Jill Stein (OBE) please - additional references have now been added.

Thanks you,

Dave

Please add more detail on her career in the biography / career section. You can mention how they had bought a nightclub prior to the business. Also when did the business expanded from the single restaurant, and when she opened other restaurants. Also more detail as to her career after the divorce. The article needs more news sources about Jill. Also please mind WP:COI and disclose that if you are connected to her business in any manner as the article was recently deleted a day or two ago because that editor was named after their restaurant, and had copy-pasted her biography from their website. Joel's article "Luna Parc": removal of all External Links

Hi AngusWOOF,

Doggonit, you're good.  ;-) (sorry, bad pun on your name).

You've done some great work in Wikipedia (including today on my draft article "Luna Parc"). I see it clearly. Thank you on behalf of Wikipedians everywhere.

Pursuant to WP:ELMINOFFICIAL "only one official link is included" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:ELMINOFFICIAL), you've removed all but 1 external link from the Wikipedia "Luna Parc" article (https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Luna_Parc&diff=897247707&oldid=897247635).

I think this Wikipedia policy means: within the External Links section, do not include more than 1 link to the Subject's official website(s).

As an example, the External Links section of Wikipedia's "Johnson & Johnson" article (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johnson_%26_Johnson) should only include 1 official website. The logical selection is Johnson & Johnson's main website (https://www.jnj.com/). Wikipedia articles should not serve as the index to all 400+ of Johnson & Johnson's official websites (https://www.janssen.com/, https://www.jnjmedicaldevices.com/global, https://www.biosensewebster.com/, https://www.depuysynthes.com/, https://www.neutrogena.com, https://www.biosensewebster.com/, https://www.safetyandcarecommitment.com/, https://www.jnjinnovation.com/, etc). Instead, the Subject entity Johnson & Johnson can maintain such an index.

I think this Wikipedia policy (this section, and other sections of WP:EL)(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:External_links) is explicitly not intended to restrict total External Links to only 1 link.

It is entirely appropriate, compliant with Wikipedia policy, and an excellent value-add for Wikipedia encyclopedic articles to include multiple links in the "External Links" section, albeit only when such links meet the criteria for inclusion. Examples of such link inclusion criteria:

  • External Link contain further research that is accurate and on-topic
  • External Link contains information that could not be added to the article because of copyright issues
  • External Link contains information that could (or should) not be added to the article due to the amount of detail
  • External Link contains other meaningful, relevant content that is not suitable for inclusion in an article for reasons unrelated to its accuracy
  • External Link contains content that is proper in the context of the article (accurate, relevant, useful, tasteful, informative, factual, etc.)
  • External Link contains content that is relevant to an encyclopedic understanding of the subject
  • each External Link points to a separate website under separate control, not to various pages within a single website
  • each External Link points to a website whose content is accessible to the reader (not a dead link, not behind a paywall)

Here are 5 examples of multiple External Links within mature Wikipedia articles:

 1) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Museum_of_Modern_Art has 9 external links
 2) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Museum_of_Jurassic_Technology has 5 external links
 3) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chrysler_Building has 2 external links
 4) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Statue_of_Liberty has 10 external links
 5) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grand_Canyon has 10 external links

Accordingly, I believe the removed External Links should be reinstated.

Thank you,
Joel
JoelDougal (talk) 02:28, 16 May 2019 (UTC)

  • JoelDougal, some of them could be added back. Others can go to the talk page as {{refideas}} if they are future references. The Foundation link isn't necessary since it can be accessed from the official website. Also, outside of the official website itself, if the external link is already used as a citation, it doesn't need to be listed in the External links. Some of the episodic YouTube videos are like that. The nice thing is that plenty of different television shows and news sources have written independently about Luna Parc and those are already cited. The external links don't need to be a listing of every last news search for the place. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 03:45, 16 May 2019 (UTC)
AngusWOOF, I completely agree with everything you say here. I'll implement accordingly. Thank you for your clarity and guidance.

Adding reliable sources to the Benedict-Savant series article.

Hello, thank you for your comments on the Benedict-Savant article. In saying that the article is not adequately supported by reliable sources, does this mean I would need to add more sources that are reliable, or have to replace ones that are not seen as being reliable. And would this just be my use of the author's blog site? Thank you!

Lianne99 (talk) 10:32, 16 May 2019 (UTC)

Lianne99, I would add more external news articles (not author's site) that cover the book series. Reviews from Publishers Weekly, School Library Journal, Kirkus, New York Times, Guardian. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 15:45, 16 May 2019 (UTC)

Hi AngusWOOF, Thank you for the initial review on my submission. I made a few changes to my post. Would you kindly please give me your opinion ?

David Winker

Good evening. I wanted to reach out on the page I posted on Miami attorney David Winker. I haven't done this before, but was a little surprised that he didn't meet the notability standards.

I got involved in this bc I was going to do some revisions to the ULTRA music festival page on the festival leaving Miami (because of his litigation on their move to an environmentally sensitive barrier island) and was surprised to see his name wasn't listed, as he has been involved in the Beckham soccer stadium fight and seems to be in the paper down here every day.

I have no dog in this fight and am not trying to change your mind, just wanted to express my surprise.

Thanks for all you do, Julian Puddy123 (talk) 02:32, 17 May 2019 (UTC)

Puddy123, he seems to be mentioned in a lot of local legal issues, but those news articles just list him as involved and giving an opinion as a passing mention. Perhaps if his biography were expanded to describe what his major events he participated in? But the main thing is to establish his notability for Wikipedia purposes, which means WP:BIO and WP:GNG. That's why I was asking for three key sources. See WP:THREE. If you got that, then you can convince people he is notable. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 02:37, 17 May 2019 (UTC)

Hi Angus, thanks for the guidance. Whether this article gets published or not, I have learnt a lot in this process as I wanted to get more active in editing and creating pages.

I have included below three articles that I believe show Winker's involvement in some pretty important issues that have repurcussions both in Miami and internationally. This guy has caused David Beckham to not get his stadium in Miami and moved ULTRA out of Miami, by exposing some pretty nasty corruption.

If you look at the ULTRA page, you can see where I was going to put him in (the articles cited in the entry mention him btw):

The following month, Miami was sued again by the Brickell Homeowners Association, who alleged that the city violated its charter by misrepresenting its agreement with the festival as being a "license" but appearing to be a lease, which requires competitive bidding under Florida law. Judge Rodolfo Ruiz denied a motion requesting an emergency injunction.[123][124]

Here are the 3 articles:

https://www.miamiherald.com/news/local/community/miami-dade/article224950735.html

https://www.nytimes.com/2019/02/22/sports/soccer/david-beckham-miami-mls.html

https://www.law.com/dailybusinessreview/2019/03/15/ultra-music-festivals-2019-edition-hangs-in-balance-in-miami-courtroom/

If you think this gets him over the notability line, I can revise the article to reflect the importance of these cases and his involvement.

Again, either way I appreciate your time.

Thanks, Julian

Those articles only show passing mention of Winker that he was involved in the cases, but that it doesn't really explain his career. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 01:03, 18 May 2019 (UTC)

Draft Michael Marrale

Hi AngusWoof, thanks for reviewing Michael Marrale's draft. Alternative data has been gaining traction in the investment community, and Mike is an early entrant/leader in the space who has been using alt data for stock selection for over 15 years, and has led one of the world's largest data-driven research divisions. Here are the three articles requested, which I think will help w/ the notability:

The Successors of Gotama Buddha

You claim that "This submission is not adequately supported by reliable sources". However I feel that the sources I cited are reliable.

The main idea of my article is the relationship between Gotama Buddha and the incarnation of the future Buddhas.

The first source is "Anāgatavamsa" (Anāgat (Future) + Buddhavamsa (Life of Buddha)). It is a book written by a Buddhist Monk, De Pell Yin Sayadaw (ဒီပဲယင်း ဆရာတော်). It describes about the biography of Maitreya Buddha and information of his successors.

The second source is "Today's questions about Buddhism" written by Tigyaing Titaw Sayadaw(ထီးချိုင့်မြို့ တည်တောဆရာတော်). It tells about the information about Todeyya.

Another source is "The great life of Buddha" written by the Ministry of Religious Affairs to preserve the Buddhism. It covers the whole life of Buddha and I cited about the relationship between Gotama Buddha had Palileya. Related to this source, Jīnatthapakāsanī written by Kyee Thel Lay Htet Sayadaw (ကျီးသည်းလေးထပ်ဆရာတော်), a monk of Konbaung era of Burma, has the similar manner.

The last source is "King Myet-Hna Shay" written by San Tun. It is a magazine article telling about his religious life.

To conclude, the sources cited for this article are very exotic, i.e , such sources are only available in Myanmar (Burma). I have spent a lot of time and effort to find the ones that are familiar with the common. However, no source can cover this article. This can explain why you feel that my sources are not reliable. You will need a Burmese Wikipedian Editor in order to confirm my references.Albert Poliakoff (talk) 03:55, 1 May 2019 (UTC)

Albert Poliakoff, the article is very confusing as to what it's supposed to cover. The lead paragraph mentions 510 successors, then 10 successors. Then it has sections where Gotama is paired with one of the successors but mentions 100,000 more successors, some of whom might become a buddha. It also does not explain where the stories are coming from. Is there a text where he names the 10 successors and provides the descriptions of who they are? If Anāgatavamsa is the main reference, it should explain that, such as, "According to the Anāgatavamsa text, written in (year or period), Gotama Buddha names..." The successors themselves should be organized with their own sections. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 04:10, 1 May 2019 (UTC)
AngusWOOF, Gotama Buddha mentioned that there will be 510 successors. Of these 510 successors he could guarantee only 10 people that have the potential to be his successors. Actually, "100,000" is the number of kalpa(aeon, meaning a period of time) between Maitreya Buddha and Ramasambuddha Buddha, and between Abhibhū Buddha and his successor. Despite knowing about those 10 people, Gotama Buddha only explained about the biography of Maitreya. And he mentioned the Buddha names of the first 3 successors, Ramasambuddha, Dhammarājā and Abhibhū. The remaining 6 successors have not gotten the Buddha titles.
The stories came from different sources. I combined some of the stories because they are not long enough to be a independent section and Buddha had briefly mentioned them (All Buddhas had only explained about the biography of their first successors and briefly about others). You also feel that the stories were not in order as per the stories of Nālāgiri and Palileya. Nālāgiri could understand Buddha's teachings which means he was a step closer to becoming a future Buddha (or his practice is more complete). In the story of Palileya however, Buddha even said "It is not the time for you to practise", which means his practice to enlightenment is less complete. The point is that I wrote the stories in accordance with their Pāramitā trend.Albert Poliakoff (talk) 05:10, 1 May 2019 (UTC)
Albert Poliakoff, as I said, please state the sources of where you got your information. Do not combine your knowledge as that would be synthesis. WP:SYNTH The list of the 10 do not need to be an any particular order. I just split it up because your first statements said that this was a list of ten named successors. If there are more successors such as the 510, then you can have another section of Other successors and list some notable ones there. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 05:29, 1 May 2019 (UTC)
Albert Poliakoff, can you explain the difference between that list and Ten Principal Disciples AngusWOOF (barksniff) 22:34, 1 May 2019 (UTC)
AngusWOOF, by definition, a disciple is a pupil and follower of somebody. Buddha's disciples were his monks. All of Buddha's disciples could practice to become arhats (monks that will ascend to Nirvana after death without rebirth). Of his disciples, those 10 principal disciples are the most prominent ones. They also had "Etadagga" titles (the direct translation is "This person is extraordinary" and the definition is a honourary title bestowed upon the disciples for their eminence in a particular aspect by the Buddha).
On the other hand, the 10 people in my article are the incarnations of future Buddhas and they were not his disciples. Although Ajita, an incarnation of Maitreya Buddha, was a disciple, he was an exception. He couldn't practice to become an arhat so that he could become Gotama's Successor in the afterlife.Albert Poliakoff (talk) 02:33, 2 May 2019 (UTC)
Albert Poliakoff, I'm starting a discussion at Talk:Gautama Buddha on the notability of the draft. Please help field any concerns people from WP:Buddhism might have. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 16:02, 2 May 2019 (UTC)
AngusWOOF It was stated that the name of the article was too broad. Can you help me with changing the name of the article and finding foreign sources?Albert Poliakoff (talk) 04:11, 3 May 2019 (UTC)
Albert Poliakoff, what do you want the name of the subject to be? AngusWOOF (barksniff) 22:23, 3 May 2019 (UTC)
AngusWOOF The Future Bodhisattas in Pali Buddhism would make a good name. I also found the source that mentioned the Buddha names and Bhodhi trees of the Future Buddhas. Being a article of a magazine, I find problems to add in my article and 2 of the names overlap with the names of the previous Buddhas.Albert Poliakoff (talk) 01:44, 4 May 2019 (UTC)
Albert Poliakoff, I'm asking at the talk page. Hopefully we will have consensus and then I can send it forth as a stub. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 16:52, 12 May 2019 (UTC)
Albert Poliakoff, I've renamed the draft to Ten Bodhisattas, but please see the latest comments at the Talk:Gautama Buddha thread and comment there. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 15:51, 13 May 2019 (UTC)
AngusWOOF, I appreciate for your work. I feel that there needs to be a section Scholar views on the Bodhisattas (which needs to be left to the people who can give his time to research and write the section) so that the readers can know that the knowledge they get is real.Albert Poliakoff (talk) 07:16, 14 May 2019 (UTC)
Albert Poliakoff, you're welcome to add a Interpretations section on scholars' interpretations, much like a Reception section for films, but it should be phrased neutrally, like "(scholar) of (scholar organization) wrote that (critique/interpretation)" Please check that their viewpoints are representative of mainstream view as per WP:WEIGHT AngusWOOF (barksniff) 16:37, 20 May 2019 (UTC)

Some assistance required

I recently published an article on the Hindi Wikipedia, विष्व तंबाकू निषेध दिवस, which is the translation for World No Tobacco Day, but it got published even without the draft being reviewed. That's the same article you rejected a few days before when I submitted it as a draft for review on the English Wikipedia. I thought I would be honest enough to ask you whether it's a glitch or something like that. And I'm sorry for wasting your precious time (if I did so). Geniuscreatoreditor (talk) 05:05, 1 May 2019 (UTC)

Geniuscreatoreditor, I don't know if it's a glitch, but we can CSD that draft (it looks like that's already been done) since World No Tobacco Day is an article that's been around for ages. We can add विष्व तंबाकू निषेध दिवस to the language links from that page (has also been done already) AngusWOOF (barksniff) 16:40, 20 May 2019 (UTC)

Request on 03:42:22, 15 May 2019 for assistance on AfC submission by Brett Layman

Hi, I wanted to ask about my article Eco-Simulator, and why it has been rejected. I understand the reasons given on my user talk page, but I don't understand how it is different from similar pages that exist. Here are some other pages that have the same issues that were brought up with my page:

Critterding

Evolve_4.0

Framsticks

Polyworld

I am wondering if there is something I need to do to my article to put it in the same category as these other articles. Is there something I am missing that these other articles have? Is it something about how it is composed or framed? It just seems like my article is being held to different standards and I'm not sure why. Thank you for helping to clarify this confusion for me.

Brett Layman (talk) 03:42, 15 May 2019 (UTC)

That's WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS and if those are not notable programs then they should be deleted. The main thing is to find secondary sources that talk about the product. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 17:37, 15 May 2019 (UTC)
Brett Layman, I AFD'ed Critterding but the others have books and journal articles that discuss the simulators in some detail. For example: Framsticks [2] [3] Evolve 4.0 [4] [5] Do you have similar ones for your article? AngusWOOF (barksniff) 17:45, 15 May 2019 (UTC)
Brett Layman, it looks like Evolve 4.0 was deleted, but Critterding is on the borderline because of the research articles. If you have similar research articles maybe from searching "scholar" then you can cite those. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 15:43, 20 May 2019 (UTC)

I see, thanks for the clarification. -Brett

Review: HorrorConUK

Thank you so much for you help so far AngusWOOF, I have continued to improve the article.

I have now added 17 references covering past events and can add a few more but wanted to check with you first because all I can find, particularly for the most recent event, are videos. I have added three good ones but before I continue, I wanted to ask if adding more was a good and necessary idea.

Thank you for your time on this and for your dedication to improving Wikipedia. Darkerglobe (talk) 14:41, 17 May 2019 (UTC)

Videos are okay if they aren't copyright swiped or someone's personal coverage of the event. If they're cited by news broadcasts or bigger then you can use cite episode for those shows. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 14:52, 17 May 2019 (UTC)
The last 3 I added were interviews with guests at this year's event by Slime House, a YouTube channel that seems to focus on horror related topics. I would not describe them as "big" at all. But they are clearly shot at the event, with the guests in question, and are of a high quality.
This is the Wikipedia page I based the HorrorConUK one on: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crypticon Darkerglobe (talk) 15:18, 17 May 2019 (UTC)
Some of the YouTube videos are on the borderline for RS which is why I was hoping there would be more coverage from regular local newspapers. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 15:42, 20 May 2019 (UTC)

Jill Stein (restaurateur) page

Hello there,

Are we in a position with the content to put this page live now?

Many thanks,

There still isn't enough information on Stein herself, like what specific roles she did and when she opened up more businesses. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 15:37, 20 May 2019 (UTC)

MOVE IT Math Article

Hey! I saw that the article was declined because you said that it looks like a brochure. Any suggestions to make it better? I think that this is a great subject that deserves to be written about. I wrote it like that based off the Sylvan Learning Wikipedia page which looks very similar.

Please find more secondary sources that discuss the organization. It needs those to meet WP:ORGCRIT AngusWOOF (barksniff) 15:36, 20 May 2019 (UTC)

Creating Draft:UserboxCOI=Dearfoams

https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Dearfoams&redirect=no

Responding to your initial question on May 16, about the page. I was attempting to create a page about the Dearfoams brand that would provide more information specifically about the brand that would then link to/from the R.G. Barry Corporation page.

On May 18 the page got deleted by another user, how should I resubmit with edits?

Kindly,

Nchalk0131 (talk) 14:51, 22 May 2019 (UTC)

Nchalk0131, the Dearfoams information can be added to the RG Barry page. I don't think there's enough information and sources for Dearfoams itself for its own page at this point. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 16:04, 22 May 2019 (UTC)

CafeTran

Hi Angus. I get the impression that the CafeTran draft page is automatically resubmitted for review every so often. Is that the case? Well, it's shouldn't -- I'm sure we'll see a lot of edits in the next few days as users update it with content and references, and eventually ask for it to be re-reviewed, and it's not necessary to re-review automatically it all the time. Also, a lot of my notes are still sitting in the Talk page. Or, do I understand those review messages incorrectly? --leuce (talk) 15:32, 24 May 2019 (UTC)

leuce, I suggest holding off from resubmitting the article until there's enough notability presented that it would meet WP:GNG and notability for software. If it's not ready it will be rejected again, and if it's resubmitted without improvement multiple times, then AFC reviewers might bring it up for deletion per WP:MFD and WP:DMFD AngusWOOF (barksniff) 15:42, 24 May 2019 (UTC)
Do I understand correctly that it is not submitted automatically every now and then? --leuce (talk) 15:58, 24 May 2019 (UTC)
leuce, it's not submitted automatically, but anyone could press the resubmit button. If it's idle for six months, it gets archived, but even then it can be recovered. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 16:20, 24 May 2019 (UTC)
leuce, the pricing information doesn't need to be specified down to the actual numbers, unless that part is important. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 16:24, 24 May 2019 (UTC)
Thanks... what I've written is actually already whittled down from a more comprehensive list that I made. I intended to show that the price used to be high, then dropped significantly, and then gradually increased again at key moments. I'm not sure if it is "important", though -- the pricing would be interesting to translators who have bought CAT tools in the past two decades, because some other CAT tools at the time had very high prices, and there was a time when CafeTran was classified as a "cheap" CAT tool. I originally tried to omit the current price, but could not figure out how to write it elegantly :-) I'll keep your comment in mind. --leuce (talk) 16:38, 24 May 2019 (UTC)
I think I've done as much as I can. It was interesting, if nothing else. --leuce (talk) 10:40, 25 May 2019 (UTC)

/* Bankstown Library and Learning Centre */

--Hi Anguswoof, Thanks for reviewing my draft. I'm quite new to Wikipedia so am not 100% on the logistics of changing old pages titles, although it might be the best course of action. In regards to my article about the new library, I was wondering if it shouldn't be kept separate, as the information on the older page is in reference to a library which was on a different site operated by a no-longer existing government body. Moreover, the old page has information mostly pertaining to that old library. It would make sense to me that the currently existing library have a page dedicated to it, with the old library a subcategory of that article, or the two remain separate as they are two separate buildings. Perhaps the distinction between the two separate libraries could be made clearer in both articles? Thanks for your time, --Bobkillalea1 (talk) 00:06, 28 May 2019 (UTC)

Bobkillalea1, I don't see why the article couldn't cover both buildings as they refer to the library in general, with the old library information moved to the history section, like school articles in which the schools change locations. Unless they are two completely different organizations that didn't share material? AngusWOOF (barksniff) 02:08, 28 May 2019 (UTC)

Query about "Myth of the scientist and engineer shortage"

thank you for your feedback regarding my article. I had a feeling the debate format would be contentious and I will be taking your feedback on board. I am thinking of presenting the myth argument as the forefront, and have the opposing argument as "opposing views". ill be working on it over the next few weeks. MarkGoldbridge1123 (talk) 02:00, 28 May 2019 (UTC)

MarkGoldbridge1123, the Wikipedia article shouldn't be an argumentative essay WP:NOTESSAY. It's also not clear what you mean by scientist and engineer shortage. That isn't even a topic here. Perhaps you're looking for Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics#Criticism which has The Atlantic article with that title. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 02:06, 28 May 2019 (UTC)

Spentime, you'll need to find some news articles describing Korkmaz, not posts from the blogs that appear to have yourself as the author. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 18:03, 28 May 2019 (UTC)

Draft Article: Native American Responses to climate Change

Hey AngusWOOF,

Thanks so much for your feedback on my article. I aim to continue working on my article over the next few weeks, and should hopefully resolve the issues as well as hit around 2000 words. Is it possible that you could check it again then? Thanks again Erikpridgen (talk) 02:04, 28 May 2019 (UTC)

Erikpridgen, would you like me to rename the article to "Climate Change and Native Americans"  ? That might be more inclusive of the topics you're trying to cover rather than the specific responses. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 02:07, 28 May 2019 (UTC)
AngusWOOF, Not at present, I am working on the article as part of a university assignment, and am already down for this particular topic. Erikpridgen (talk) 06:36, 28 May 2019 (UTC)

Draft: Asian idol producing industry

Hi, AngusWOOF. Thank you for comment. I am still working on this article to add some content of idol group producing industry in other Asian countries like China and Japan, so I think this article will not be a part of Korean idol. This is also a work for my university course and this article will be marked and I hope it can be an independent page. Can you check it again? I will add more information about other Asian countries' work in this industry. Thank you so much.

I'm still trying to figure out what the scope of the article will be? If it's how the Korean idol / K-pop marketing concept is applied to other countries to start up their own local versions, that's fine. If it's more about how K-pop idols are marketed in other countries, the Korean idol and K-pop articles already cover that in detail. For Japanese idol, there's already 48 Group on how AKB48 uses their brand to create other 48-versioned groups in other prefectures and other countries. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 18:00, 28 May 2019 (UTC)

Hi, AngusWOOF. Thank you for comment again. This article will introduce how other Asian countries start their own idol groups. It is not merely about how K-pop idols are marketed in other countries.

List of Kresy born Poles - declined

Hello Angus WOOF. Mine is a Bernese Mountain dog cross, but that is not why I'm responding. Thank you for considering my declined list page. Yes, I am very disheartened and late for his walk, but I have left a question and note at the Tea House. It now occurs to me, should this be a category? Let me know, please. Regards, --Po Mieczu (talk) 19:46, 5 June 2019 (UTC)

Po Mieczu, see the Talk:Kresy page. I was thinking it could be a List of people from Kresy instead of just people who were born there and became part of Poland later. Category:People from Kresy would be okay too if you don't want a separate article. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 19:48, 5 June 2019 (UTC)

Deleted Draft/Article for Review

Hi Angus, after reading through the article, I concede that it had a promotional tone to it. I tried to make it work for a Wikipedia Education Class assignment however, it did not go the distance. I have removed the entire Code of Ethics section and the "peacock mission statements" that you mentioned. It has since been deleted by another user.

Tanforan Times (talk) 13:31, 6 June 2019 (UTC)

Tanforan Times, if you are doing this for solely a Wikipedia Education class, you can make the draft, and add a tag on the page like with Draft:Water Special Project, and not submit it for review. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 20:18, 6 June 2019 (UTC)

Request on 20:51:22, 6 June 2019 for assistance on AfC submission by Brian Ralston

ON the rejection of the article for Jasmine (film) you mentioned that the film needed critical coverage. Is that not what the major trades and critics from LA Times, Variety, Hollywood Reporter, Deadline Hollywood references, articles and coverage in the links depict? Thank you for helping me understand.

Brian Ralston

Brian Ralston (talk) 20:51, 6 June 2019 (UTC)

Brian Ralston, you should write up a Critical reception section with paragraphs detailing what the critics have said about the film. Right now the references are just piled on the end of the Film festivals paragraph so it only shows it maybe was shown at that festival. For example, Noel Murray of the Los Angeles Times wrote that "Phelan throws in a concluding curveball that's clumsily delivered and over-explanatory, sapping much of the picture's ambiguity. The ending is undeniably provocative — and sure to be divisive — but "Jasmine" might have been better served by retaining some mystery." Deborah Young of Hollywood Reporter liked Jason Tobin's performance, calling it "edgy, taut," and "who creates a compulsive character with equal doses of sadness and nervous intensity". AngusWOOF (barksniff) 21:00, 6 June 2019 (UTC)
Brian Ralston, thanks, it looks better now. I pushed it through. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 21:42, 6 June 2019 (UTC)

Concerns regarding my draft

I kind of understand why you declined my article. You said that I might be subject to COI. I am the person talking about "Naveen Chandra Lal" The information regarding date of birth and a few more information is not found on sites that I can research, but he is also not anywhere close to my family. Meeting the person gave me an idea that he deserves a wikipedia page. I am not sure if more information could be found regarding his personal life, probably because of him not disclosing them. The fact that there are very little logs about him specifically either than news coverages and journals talking about his acts, and my privilege of having that knowledge about him inspired me to write about him. If it is the false information that wikipedia is nervous about the editing option could be put to allow changes as the page develops. The person who I am talking about is relevant in matters to which organization, news companies and blogs talk about him, but not to a level where he has a biography by another source. To do that, I am creating this page. The person I am talking about doesn't quantify as COI, as I have no relationship with him, either than my awareness that he exists and a little bit background knowledge. My creation of the wikipedia article is to fill this gap that I have the ability to about his public appearance. I would only request an acceptance to the article with information on how to improve so that I can make the article become as close as wikipedia wants it to be :)Abhinavdabeast (talk) 06:59, 9 June 2019 (UTC)

Abhinavdabeast, how do you know the person's birthday, spouse's name and children's names and birthdays? Are there newspaper articles that specify that? You share the same name as one of his children. You need to find news articles that discuss his career. Do not use company profiles (primary source, self-published). Do not post personal information that you have gathered from interacting with him. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 14:09, 9 June 2019 (UTC)

I have to ask, was this really the right template? I had a look before deletion, and it was unsourced, OR and not at all mainspace-ish, but since the user was a newbie I thought it in good faith and not at all vandalism. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 17:53, 9 June 2019 (UTC)

Gråbergs Gråa Sång, I used the hoax one rather than the vandalism one, but it still maps to G3. I don't see any theories or news articles / journals presented or sourced where they claim Joseph was immaculately conceived, so it was going mainly by the editor's own original research / made up. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 22:56, 9 June 2019 (UTC)
Ok. My basic assumption was "probably exists somewhere/doesn't get WP yet". Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 06:18, 10 June 2019 (UTC)

Review of Draft:Aerofly_FS

Hello AngusWOOF, Thanks for your previous review, I fully agree your remarks. I hope my last edit will satisfy you. It's true that the article may look complimentary but it is not exaggerated. About the 3D engine for example, Aerofly is much much better than its competitors, it is just a fact. Thanks for your feedback, Vincent. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Turman (talkcontribs) 13:37, 4 April 2019 (UTC)

I have read your last review. I don't understand why I need to make a reception section for the reviews. I have never seen that. Could you please detail it or give a sample from an existing article ? About the other part of your review: in fact FS2 is the notable version as FS1 was more confidential. I'll try to explicit that in the article. Thanks, Vincent. Turman

See Sonic the Hedgehog (1991 video game) for example. It doesn't have to be from a video game review website, but from the other flight simulation / computing reviewers. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 16:11, 4 April 2019 (UTC)

Thanks for having extending the refs for me ! I have also made small improvements, please tell me if it's enough. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Turman (talkcontribs) 20:45, 4 April 2019 (UTC)

Hello Angus, Could you please rereview my draf since I've made a lot of improvements (I don't know if I can contact another reviewers as you have already made some remarks on my draft). Thanks, Vincent. Turman

Turman, please see feedback from previous. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 23:49, 19 April 2019 (UTC)

@AngusWOOF:, could you please help me by telling me which part(s) exactly I should improve ? I admit that the "graphic engine" part may look laudatory but it is only the truth, it is the strong point of the simulator which is undeniable (and confirmed by the independent sources I quoted). Maybe I should rephrase the sentence in a more neutral way, but my level of English is unfortunately limited.Turman (talk) 09:27, 7 May 2019 (UTC)

Turman, see the comments I had posted on the draft. It needs a development section and a reception section. How did the product come about? What are the reviews of the product? AngusWOOF (barksniff) 16:26, 20 May 2019 (UTC)

@AngusWOOF: In my draft there is still some info on the reception, most of the references actually. There are plenty of articles on software that have no section dedicated to reception or to the history / development (including for famous titles like X-Plane) so I do not understand why this would be absolutely necessary here.

Turman, it's a software article that borders on video game, so it should have software reviews / reception. The development section would also help establish notability, otherwise it just reads like a catalog entry for software. The goal is to get the article to show notability by secondary sources independent of the subject. Right now it's full of "features" and such details that are primary source. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 16:23, 10 June 2019 (UTC)

Request to help with the submission of wikipedia page of Sanskar Educational Group

Hi AngusWOOF. I have updated the article based on your comments. I have deleted most of the text which did not have adequate resources as per your comments. Can you please review again if further changes are needed to publish it or is it in a minimal required shape for publishing?

Thank you very much.

Regards, Amit

Amit de (talk) 14:09, 23 May 2019 (UTC)

Amit de, you need to show that the organization Draft:Sanskar Educational Group is notable and can meet WP:ORGCRIT. You need secondary sources independent of the subject that cover the institution in detail. Local newspapers or national newspapers. That it is just an organization means it is probably going to end up in the WP:MILL. I only see a reference to its own website and then a Google search. That isn't enough. Is it an actual school? Then it should explain what grades it covers. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 16:27, 10 June 2019 (UTC)

Comment

Thanks for the ping and press at Draft talk:Elena Matei. I can only assume (on the basis of date) that I am likely the editor that "denied" the subject. I am much more interested in the article quoting a "Joe DiRosa", given that the first draft of Draft:Elena Matei was created by a User:Joedirosa around the same time... this might explain the consistent appearance of random ip editors on the article. Thanks again.--SamHolt6 (talk) 18:41, 21 May 2019 (UTC)

SamHolt6, it looks like one of the IP editors wrote a big essay on why she should have an article, but it still cites those primary source interviews. Ugh, can't the editors find secondary source articles on her? Then it'd be easy to add. I've seen stub model pages like Chase Carter based on those non-interview articles. (Oops I actually didn't approve Carter's article, another editor did, but I checked the references and they were pretty good RS'es.) AngusWOOF (barksniff) 04:13, 24 May 2019 (UTC)

Cafetran Espresso

Thanks for reviewing my nascent page on Cafetran Espresson. I am not quite certain to understand why this page causes so much problem. To be honest, I did not want to create it in the first place. However, an editor kept removing all mentions of the software from the CAT software comparison, for lack of notability (while the said page lists software with a lower user-base than Espresso). I will keep trying to include more external references and get the page accepted (BTW, I am not a developer of the software. Just a user, who was very grateful to find it, in a domain where there is an almost monopoly of tools under Windows, with a few under Mac, and almost nothing under Linux. Certainly not of the quality and versatility of Espresso). NB: while I appreciated your nice message on my talk page, I am actually not a new contributor. I edited WP way before you. Nicolas Gambardella Le Novère (talk) 23:17, 23 May 2019 (UTC)

Nicolas Gambardella Le Novère, no worries, I think the Teahouse thing just plops the Welcome message regardless of the user's status. But yes, the main concern I had was that it was full of TM marks everywhere like it was copied from a brochure, and then there were no secondary sources to meet WP:GNG, hence the advertising tone. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 04:05, 24 May 2019 (UTC)
I actually put the TM mark on purpose. I thought it was mandatory for a trademarked name. However, I now realised that this is not the case on WP. So I'll remove them. Thanks for the info. Nicolas Gambardella Le Novère (talk) 07:15, 24 May 2019 (UTC)
Nicolas Gambardella Le Novère, per MOS:TM, the trademarks should be removed. Having the brands listed on Wikipedia shouldn't have to be violating or running into trademark issues. . AngusWOOF (barksniff) 16:34, 10 June 2019 (UTC)

Draft:Roger Chung

Dear Angus,

Thank you for your help in reviewing the draft and your comments are very helpful in coming edits. I will edit the article according to your suggestions. Please allow me more time to edit the draft and not deleting the draft ><

ThanksClhy (talk) 03:24, 24 May 2019 (UTC)

Clhy, it would need a complete rewrite so that it doesn't sound like a eulogy or profile that praises the subject. See WP:NPOV. Also if you are connected to the subject in any manner you need to declare conflict of interest. WP:COI. If his main occupation is being a professor, then work on that and show how he meets WP:NACADEMIC. If his main occupation is being in a music group then you need to show news sources that enable him to meet WP:MUSICBIO. The Bill Murray thing is just a hobby that would go in Personal life along with his family members. You also need to use secondary sources that are independent of the subject. Look for news articles that discuss his life and career, not ones from his website or school or fans. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 04:03, 24 May 2019 (UTC)
Totally understood that I will need to rewrite it. I am asking for keeping the draft because I spent almost a day to create the Infobox..... I just wish to keep that part so I don't have to build it again in the future.....
I am the employee of the subject. I work for him. I read from the article wizard that I just need to declare the conflict of interest in my page, which I already did. Please advise how should I do it if it is not sufficient or I didn't do it right.... I am still quite confused with the functions in the wiki at the moment so I really appreciate all sorts of help and comments.Clhy (talk) 05:03, 24 May 2019 (UTC)
The infobox can be created later. I would try to rewrite the article using only material gathered from news articles and journals, not his website. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 15:35, 24 May 2019 (UTC)

Draft Candie Carawan

Is there anyway I could get assistance from an experienced Wikipedia user to help me actually make this a page for more people to see and add to?

You need to provide some context as to who she is. Is she a songwriter? A musician? An activist? Also more articles that describe her career and life, but that aren't coming from her. See WP:ANYBIO and WP:GNG. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 15:38, 27 May 2019 (UTC)

Draft Quantum Mmeory

Hi AngusWOOF. Thank you for comment. I have read the reason why you declined my article, but the fact is the article which similar to my draft page names "quantum memory" is the article I have submitted in my sandbox, both of the articles were writing by myself and I did some change for it in the draft page. This is also a work for my university course and this article will be marked. Can you check it again? Thank you very much.

I tagged it for Educational assignment like the other drafts. It also needs links to other Wikipedia articles, and citations to show notability per WP:GNG. I also redirect Draft:Quantum memory to Draft:Quantum Memory but the eventual article should be labelled "Quantum memory" unless the term is referred to as a proper noun or acronym like QM. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 17:52, 28 May 2019 (UTC)
TLLB, it looks like you forced this article into mainspace. I tagged it for cleanup and organizing, so please help deal with that so it doesn't read like a research journal article. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 17:38, 10 June 2019 (UTC)

Draft Antonio Lepore

In relation to the draft

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Antonio_Lepore

I wish I could solve the problem that I expose you here.

Thanks for your answer.

Unfortunately the situation is very complex.

I tried to insert my contribution on wikipedia italia but the administrators have gone crazy accused me of having defamed someone, of having written something fake etc. etc., I tried to convince that it was not like they said and I asked for help to wikipedia English but they proved to be accomplices of Wikipedia Italy and nobody defended me and nobody removed me the block that became global and on the IP address: 93.34.90.94

You can help me to remove the block of my original Antolepore account and the IP block: 93.34.90.94 so I can insert the text on Wikipedia Italy and then Wikipedia English.

Thank you

I'm not connected to Italian Wikipedia, so I can't help with that. Perhaps there are some admins that could help? Anyway, it's not helpful to post the Italian version of Lepore's biography on English Wikipedia. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 17:14, 28 May 2019 (UTC)

Caitlin.cox1999, sorry the previous thread got confused with this one. It looks like the article Memory and retention in learning got put into the mainspace by RoySmith, so I would just try to structure the headers to be similar to the other memory articles so that it doesn't read like a research journal article. Request on 19:48:22, 3 June 2019 for assistance on AfC submission by Smithryanallen

Hi, there are numerous citations from news articles on a page you reviewed and said it lacks citations. Can you help me understand? It was the R Dub! page. Thanks. Smithryanallen (talk) 19:48, 3 June 2019 (UTC)

Smithryanallen see WP:PRIMARY. Sources should be independent of the subject. So you need mostly news articles. Also please show how the artist meets WP:MUSICBIO Has he charted on any notable Billboard charts? Has he won any major awards? AngusWOOF (barksniff) 19:50, 3 June 2019 (UTC)

Thanks for your reply. I spent time gathering awards information after seeing the Wikipedia standards, and these were added. News sources have been cited and cleaned up to show this isn't just pulled from a personal blog etc. Thanks. Smithryanallen (talk) 19:48, 3 June 2019 (UTC)

Smithryanallen, see my response on the draft. There are a bunch of citations but they are coming mainly from his own media groups / radio stations that he is connected to. Are there any other news articles that cover him in detail that are not connected to him? AngusWOOF (barksniff) 17:58, 10 June 2019 (UTC)

Review of Draft: Philippe Dufour

Hello AngusWoof,

Thanks for reviewing the article in such quick manner, very much appreciated.

I want to contribute wikipedia on watchmaking topics more and more so your feedback is invaluable to me. However, I need to understand why it got denied.

You mention "how general public has viewed his career and work" in watch industry especially at this level there is no general public. Only certain experts and collectors notice these people's work thus appreciate. The general public here is collectors who write in forums which I do not think can be shown as reliable sources. People I sourced on the other hand are Journalists and reliable Auction Houses and nytimes article. On notable museum subject, unfortunately all pieces are sold to collectors thus make it impossible to be exhibited at the museum, at least so far. However; the aforementioned auction houses exhibits them during seasons.

I've added couple of more resources. Hope you'll find them worthy.

Have a nice day! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dufourp (talkcontribs) 9 June 2019 (UTC)

Dufourp, yes, the journalists would be the public. It needs more articles that cover Dufour's career and history, not just forum discussions of his work or news announcements of his transactions/auctions. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 19:21, 10 June 2019 (UTC)
