In ref that '49 Merc you posted (now here): can you offer more details? Identify the wheelcovers & grille? (I don't recognize either.) Also, any help you can be on Hirohata Merc would be much appreciated. Thx. TREKphiler any time you're ready, Uhura 07:23, 16 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

It's not my car (sadly) but i think those rims are from Moon Speedshop. The grille is from a 55 Cadillac

Speedy deletion nomination of Levi and the Rockats edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Levi and the Rockats requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. JayJayTalk to me 16:16, 19 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

January 2013 edit

Your recent editing history at Hipster (contemporary subculture) shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. -- Irn (talk) 23:26, 4 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Moe Howard photo on Bowl Cut page edit

Hi,

I've removed the Moe Howard pic from Bowl Cut. There's still a copyright on the picture, so it can only be used in Fair Use contexts. Illustration of a Bowl Cut may not be one of them. See here for an older revision of the same article with the same issue. --Baumi (talk) 17:30, 21 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Fair enough, but did you have to remove all the text as well?

You're right, I could've removed the tag instead of doing the revert, but I see you already corrected my mistake. Sorry about that. --Baumi (talk) 10:05, 25 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Deletion discussion about The Brain Cloud edit

Hello, Osama57,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether The Brain Cloud should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Brain Cloud .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

March 2014 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, including your edits to Hipster (contemporary subculture), but we cannot accept original research. Original research also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. McGeddon (talk) 17:09, 12 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to Hipster (contemporary subculture). This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. McGeddon (talk) 08:26, 17 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Synthesis edit

Three men wearing different types of ponytail does not make a "2014 trend". Even three men wearing the same style of ponytail wouldn't: this is textbook WP:SYNTHESIS: "Do not combine material from multiple sources to reach or imply a conclusion not explicitly stated by any of the sources." You need to find a source that actually describes the trend. --McGeddon (talk) 19:22, 19 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Sockpuppet investigation edit

Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Osama57, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

About the Picture edit

I now know it was taken in 2008, but can you not put it in the 2000s section? No one was really wearing that stuff, and I don't want to give the wrong impression to people. That is why all of the fashion articles are drastically different from what they were at the beginning of the year; Because it was inaccurate. I always try to go by what the majority are doing, and nobody was really wearing that in the late 2000s. Not in America at least. Just to give you a heads up. You and I are like the only ones even contributing any relevant information anymore lol. ArtistsCry13 (talk) 05:06, 31 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

Then find a picture of people wearing those clothes that was taken in 2010 or later. Pale blue shirts and chinos aren't that remarkable and have been worn by wealthy young men for years. If you use an older photo it will only cause confusion.

Changes to Bucket hat edit

Hi Osama57, just a quick query about your recent changes to Bucket hat. You have reinserted the information that the bucket hat is Irish and used as a citation an article about a Scottish firm taken from the New York Times. I can't see any reference within this article to the idea that the bucket hat is Irish in origin, unless I'm missing something. I don't think a claim such as this should be made unless we have a very clear reference, otherwise it is just subjective opinion and unproven. I'm going to add a note to the talk page of bucket hat. Do let's discuss if I have missed something. Libby norman (talk) 10:57, 14 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), such as at Talk:Going commando, please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  or  ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --Dennis Bratland (talk) 21:47, 14 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Re: Kiki Kannibal edit

Re your message: I do recall seeing your talk page request for a redirect that I deleted. Upon reviewing the article history and the referenced articles, I am a little leery about allowing the redirect to be created. Both show a high potential for BLP violations. However, the in-depth articles do establish a potential for notability. There is some history here that I am not familiar with, so I will ping the two admins, @Jarry1250: and @Jimfbleak:, who did the original protections for their opinions. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 03:12, 25 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

As you know, this article was deleted six times back in 2007. That's long enough ago that I'm not too concerned about a redirect now. I read the 2012 AN form @Jarry1250:, and I would like to see input from that editor. I'm watching Kiki Kannibal now, so if it is unprotected and problems return it can be salted again. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 05:42, 25 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
Fine by me. I was arguing in 2012 for less long-term salting. - Jarry1250 [Vacation needed] 12:03, 26 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
