Could you please return to it? I addressed some of your comments. Kailash29792 (talk) 17:05, 9 May 2021 (UTC)

@Kailash29792: Great progress. There's now only 1 suggestion (in #Production) that needs to be addressed. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 00:14, 10 May 2021 (UTC)
Thanks. Could you please find a way to paraphrase the quote about the shooting of "Thilllana Thillana"? That way we may not need to cite the same source twice. Kailash29792 (talk) 03:13, 10 May 2021 (UTC)

CURLY

I didn't see your talk page post until you mentioned one was left in your complaint, so a report I feel is unfair or unwarranted given I wasn't aware you had an issue raised. My talk has eben getting swamped with automated notices about soon to be outdated drafts so it probably got buried. Regardless I'll ensure my edits abide with guidelines, please pull your complaint. Please stop

Please Some Dude from North Carolina stop drafting so hastily and lazily. What you did here is already a shame, you directly created a blank draft. Right now you are the only one doing it that way. Start creating them with at least one reference or I will have to report your behavior. It's unfair to those of us who take the time to at least include an introduction and a reference and then find that you already created it in a lazy way. This is my last notice, next time I will have to report your behavior directly. Bruno Vargas Eñe'ẽ avec moi 15:13, 13 May 2021 (UTC)

Thank you!

Thank you for your work reviewing Super Bowl Commercials! I really appreciate it!

Sources

Am I not putting the date in? Also, what’s with this recent display of giving me a hard time about sources anyway? Rusted AutoParts 17:43, 13 May 2021 (UTC)

@Rusted AutoParts: It's just that recently you've been using the "publisher" parameter, not adding authors, and sometimes not adding dates to citations in several articles. The most recent one I saw was in Gaslit (TV series), where several sources are missing dates and authors. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 17:47, 13 May 2021 (UTC)
I alternate between mobile and computer, in addition I don’t always have time to complete a source. But I always try to get back and fill it all in, like with Untitled Los Angeles Lakers project. Rusted AutoParts 17:50, 13 May 2021 (UTC)
@Rusted AutoParts: Well, Gaslit is still missing a few. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 17:51, 13 May 2021 (UTC)
Okay? If I have the time to get back to it I will. Rusted AutoParts 17:53, 13 May 2021 (UTC)

Degrassi Junior High

The majority of your comments on the review have been addressed, although I am still looking for an additional source for the books being reprinted in 2006. There is a source on ProQuest, but ProQuest isn't archivable and I cannot find a reproduction of said source elsewhere. As with the other concerns, I've removed that line. Archiving all the existing sources is going to be a tedious process because of how much there is (there is a good chunk that HAD to be archived however anyway). Does IABot (which I currently can't use because I need the 'analyzepage' permission) work for preemptive archiving? ToQ100gou (talk) 08:33, 13 May 2021 (UTC)

@ToQ100gou: Since the nom is close to being passed I've run the bot so you won't have to worry about archiving sources manually. Ping me back when the rest of the suggestions have been addressed. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 11:45, 13 May 2021 (UTC)
@Some Dude From North Carolina: Okay, so now I think I've addressed every suggestion. I've expanded the 'Awards and nominations' a bit and tried to make it avoid "In 1989, he won this award, in 1990 she won this award". As for "#Critical reception", maybe it could use some better wording, as I'm finding it slightly difficult to avoid wording it as "So and so said this, so and so said that". I've expanded some bits and added some more sources for said expanded bits, but now all those have to be archived. Other than that, I think I've addressed it all. ToQ100gou (talk) 05:34, 14 May 2021 (UTC)
Thanks so much for the review. ToQ100gou (talk) 13:32, 14 May 2021 (UTC)

Ultraman draft

Thanks for filling so much out! I ran after the post and forgot to come back to it. Anyway, about the title, I was also confused at first since the base dab was open at Ultraman (film), but Ultraman (disambiguation) actually has three films listed already. I was going to move back without leaving a redirect since we're probably the only ones that know it's there right now. Any objection? -2pou (talk) 16:35, 14 May 2021 (UTC)

@2pou: No objection. I moved it. 16:49, 14 May 2021 (UTC)

Breathing Happy moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Breathing Happy, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Joker (2019 film)

Hi, you seemed to forget to specify a reason for your revert. In the movie, Thomas abused Penny and (most likely) raped her, leaving her powerless to defend herself (I watched it again yesterday just to make sure I remembered it correctly). Since she had no money to hire decent lawyers to prosecute him, and no police responded to her plea, she decided to adopt Arthur in order to blackmail Thomas into believing that he was their child. However, she later grew attached to Arthur and started calling him "happy", especially since her boyfriend was beating him up. When Arthur was 7, her boyfriend got arrested for drug trafficking and was sentenced to 5 years in prison, but died the next year. So she raised "Happy" by herself, writing letters to Thomas for alimony until Thomas actually did some research and found out Arthur wasn't his son. The reason he did not lock her up in a mental institution instead is because he had pity for Penny. --Whydoesitfeelsogood (talk) 19:28, 17 May 2021 (UTC)

@Whydoesitfeelsogood: A lot of your reasoning feels more like your interpretation of the film. The version most people saw was that Penny worked for Thomas and was mentally ill, resulting in a fabricated story between them. "Most likely" is not certain, and the plot should not include speculation because there weren't any clear signs that "Thomas abused Penny and (most likely) raped her". Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 19:46, 17 May 2021 (UTC)
All rich and influential people are portrayed as "bad guys" in that movie. You need RS? --Whydoesitfeelsogood (talk) 20:30, 17 May 2021 (UTC)
@Whydoesitfeelsogood: Sure, share a source but we can not add speculation to the plot section. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 20:32, 17 May 2021 (UTC)

WP:NFF concerns

Hey! I have noticed that you are moving a lot of film articles out of draft space as soon as a scheduled film start date has passed. Per WP:NFF, "sources must be used to confirm the start of principal photography after shooting has begun." Please avoid bringing an article to the main space until you have a source dated after that start date that has confirmed shooting has begun. BOVINEBOY2008 09:35, 22 May 2021 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Proposed deletion of Share (upcoming film)

The article Share (upcoming film) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Would redirect to the director if they had an article, but does not meet WP:NFILM.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hi. Thanks for the review! May I ask why you added a comma here Special:Diff/1027696404. Isn't comma not used before an and? -- DaxServer (talk) 13:59, 9 June 2021 (UTC)

@DaxServer: Some variations of English use commas before an "and" (serial commas) so I added it. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 14:01, 9 June 2021 (UTC)
DaxServer, though not mandatory, it is widely used. MOS:OXFORDCOMMA says "Editors may use either convention so long as each article is internally consistent." -- Ab207 (talk) 16:36, 9 June 2021 (UTC)
@Ab207 @Some Dude From North Carolina Thanks for the inputs. I never knew comma can legally come before an and, even outside Wikipedia 😳 -- DaxServer (talk) 17:38, 9 June 2021 (UTC)

Re: Small comment

About the MOS, there's actually no issue with not using serial commas in such an instance, as long as it's internally consistent. There's no ambiguity in this sentence (It stars A, B and C.)

Regardless, please do not edit my talk page again. Thanks. - DoubleCross () 19:52, 28 June 2021 (UTC)

@DoubleCross: Editors may use either convention so long as each article is internally consistent. Meaning that if an article is using American English, serial commas should be used as long as there's no ambiguity. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 19:57, 28 June 2021 (UTC)

  • You have asked me to Archive sources. I'll be glad to do, but that one I don't know how to do. Can you get me started on this. Thanks.--Doug Coldwell (talk) 21:08, 9 July 2021 (UTC)
  • After I ran the tool it said Links analyzed of 5 and 0 on everything else. I gave it the title page name of the article François Coignet. It did say Page modified:No Now what? Anything further I should do? --Doug Coldwell (talk) 21:26, 9 July 2021 (UTC)
  • Is this a tool I should put on my Desktop for future article GANs? --Doug Coldwell (talk) 21:28, 9 July 2021 (UTC)
@Doug Coldwell: I would recommend using it everywhere as archiving can prevent future readers from clicking a dead link. I ran the tool on the François Coignet article and it archived four sources so I guess it wasn't working before. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 21:31, 9 July 2021 (UTC)
O.K. I see where it archived 4 sources. It's a new tool for me. I will place the tool on my Desktop and will be running it on future GANs, to archive websites. Thanks for tool. I will work on the rest of the GAN issues tomorrow and should finish up then. Thanks for review and help.--Doug Coldwell (talk) 21:42, 9 July 2021 (UTC)
O.K. I placed the tool on my Desktop for future article GANs. I recently upgraded the article I created on Royal Page Davidson submitted GAN and ran the tool on it and it showed Rescuing 18 sources and tagging 0 as dead.) #IABot (v2.0.8. Upcoming films categories

Hi there! When adding categories to upcoming films, please be sure to include Category:Upcoming films. I have noticed that several articles you have created and contributed to have included Category:Upcoming English-language films but not the former. It is a non-diffusing category, meaning that even if it is in a proper subcat, it should also be included. Thanks! BOVINEBOY2008 16:53, 12 July 2021 (UTC)

Blu-ray.com

Hey, I just cited a professional Blu-ray review (not the database) in a reception section. I remember hearing that br.com is unreliable; does the professional review count? Cause WP:RSP doesn't seem to list it. GeraldWL 04:01, 14 July 2021 (UTC)

@Gerald Waldo Luis: The site is unreliable per WP:RSP/BLURAY as information is "provided by its userbase and can be edited by anyone without any fact-checking". As a result, I don't recommend citing reviews from that website; try looking for reviews from reliable sources. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 11:33, 14 July 2021 (UTC)

FAC suggestion

Hi! Thanks for all the GANs of mine you've been picking up, much appreciated. I see you've grabbed another, London Hughes: To Catch a D*ck. If it's not outrageously cheeky, I'm trying to get a few eyeballs on another user's El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie FAC, which failed the last time just due to lack of attention. If I remember rightly, you've at least seen Better Call Saul, so I was wondering if you'd be interested in giving it a review if you find the time at some point. — Bilorv (talk) 15:16, 16 July 2021 (UTC)

Marcelo Gallardo

Howdy! I noticed you took on my GAN regarding the article of Marcelo Gallardo. It's nice since I've been waiting for a long while. So, anyway, it's my first nomination in years (I'm kinda semi-retired) and I hope it's up to the current standarts, besides being my first one on a soccer coach. I'm thrilled to see if I pass it on the first attempt. Prepared to do the necessary improvements balancing it with my real-world life. Let's see where it leads!--Gunt50 (talk) 17:55, 12 July 2021 (UTC)

User abuses their power and makes their own justice

It is easy to win a trial when you are your own lawyer and judge. The vandalism page you so proudly link specifically mentions the concept of neutral point of view which is exactly the reason of my action on the Flaked page. Your paragraph and quote was expressly chosen to attack the show, with a biased and uncalled for commentary. Added to that the fact that critics quotes are always reserved for the "Reception" section of an article about a show, but you again chose with ill intent to showcase it in the article's summary to thwart the show's reputation. Finally, you revert this change on your own content, hiding behind a moderator's hat with your speech on my user page thinking I would not notice that you're the very same person who made this modification.

All in all, you show most of the signs of someone who really should not be allowed to have much power on something as important as wikipedia.

@Atralb: Are you okay? The notification I gave you was a template (Template:uw-vandalism2). If you believe the quote from Mary McNamara, which criticizes "white male adulthood" and is mentioned on the show's Rotten Tomatoes page under "Top Critics" is controversial or as you put it, "racist commentary", it can be replaced with the Rotten Tomatoes consensus, which calls it "dull and pointless". Casting announcements

Hey! I've noticed several editors doing this and I can't remember if I've pointed it out to you before or not. In this edit, you used the article's publication date in the sentence "In July, Zach Braff joined the cast." The article does not indicate that this actually happened in July, that is simply when the information was made available. It is more likely that Braff has been in the cast for longer but the studio has waited to release the information. It would be more accurate for the sentence to read "In July, THR reported that Braff had joined the cast." or something to that effect. Just some food for thought! Regarding your GA review of Tomiris (film)

Hi. I would like to thank you for your effort and time you spent on reviewing Tomyris (film) for GA. Unfortunately, you decided that the article shoud be immediately failed, and subsequently, you provided several reasons why. However, WP:GAFAIL states that an article can, but by no means must, be failed without further review if, prior to the review:

  1. It is a long way from meeting any one of the six good article criteria
  2. It contains copyright violations
  3. It has, or needs, cleanup banners that are unquestionably still valid. These include {{cleanup}}, {{POV}}, {{unreferenced}} or large numbers of {{citation needed}}, {{clarify}}, or similar tags (See also {{QF}})
  4. It is not stable due to edit warring on the page
  5. It has issues noted in a previous GA review that still have not been adequately addressed, as determined by a reviewer who has not previously reviewed the article

In all other cases, the nominator deserves a full review against the six criteria from the reviewer. For most reviews, the nominator is given a chance to address any issues raised by the reviewer before the article is failed. I believe that it would've been better to put the review "on hold" as per WP:GANI to allow me and other interested editors to fix the issues you think prevent this article from being GA. I don't doubt your professionalism, but I think this article did not receive an adequate review, and therefore, I believe I should proceed with asking for additional input on the GA discussion page. Thank you once again and take care! --VisioncurveTimendi causa est nescire 06:47, 5 August 2021 (UTC)

Palm Springs

I was thinking about editing Palm Springs (2020 film) a couple weeks ago as my possible first GA project, but I was immediately overwhelmed and didn't really know where to start. I see that you've started a rewrite, and I'm not going to ask you to stop for me. Just wondering if you have any advice on what to look for or where to begin when I eventually decide to tackle my first GA.  Bait30  Talk 2 me pls? 03:56, 10 August 2021 (UTC)

@Bait30: If you're rewriting an article, what I usually do first is create a list of sources and locate the most important ones. I am currently rewriting Palm Springs because I found a 1-hour-and-a-half podcast with its director and because The Hollywood Reporter wrote a making-of article. I then go by section (usually starting with the infobox, #Plot, #Production, #Release, and then #Reception) and do one-by-one to make sure it's consistent and not wordy. Finally, make sure you have reliable sources, which you can check by installing/entering this and this into your JavaScript page. I make sure to archive sources and add some free-to-use images to the article, but that's optional. Just remember that the most important thing is to find sources. Same with Swing (upcoming film) to Swing (2021 film) [18]. BOVINEBOY2008 00:13, 21 August 2021 (UTC)
@Bovineboy2008: A release date was given for The Survivalist in its trailer. I'm happy to discuss further if necessary but otherwise please include the changes. Thank you. The Screen Chronicler (talk) 23:55, 27 August 2021 (UTC)

@The Screen Chronicler: Wikipedia can't accept a reference from WP:IMDB, sorry about that, but feel free to re-add the content with a reliable source. However, it has been established that the series is based on the second novel, The Brass Verdict, not the entire book series (make sure to check the reliable sources listed in #Development). Also, the phrase "created and executive produced by David E. Kelley and developed and executive produced by Ted Humphrey" sounds repetitive for the first sentence. This is why it is included and expanded on in the second paragraph. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 23:58, 27 August 2021 (UTC)

Here is a link from Michael Connelly's website indicating that only the first season is based on The Brass Verdict. https://www.michaelconnelly.com/2021/01/11/announcement-the-lincoln-lawyer-tv-show-is-coming-to-netflix/. The series will be based on all of the books.

@The Screen Chronicler: A second season has not been announced. The website says that the first season is based on The Brass Verdict. The first season is currently the entire series, so it is correct to say the series is based on The Brass Verdict. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 00:02, 28 August 2021 (UTC)

Also I am confused - where is it "included and expanded upon in the second paragraph?" The entire article has simply reverted to what it was before. The Screen Chronicler (talk) 00:06, 28 August 2021 (UTC)

  • @The Screen Chronicler: Ted Humphrey, Connelly, and Ross Fineman also executive produce, with Humphrey serving as showrunner for the first season. None of the sources listed in the article mention that Ted Humphrey is credited as a developer, so I didn't mention it. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 00:10, 28 August 2021 (UTC)

"The first season is currently the entire series, so it is correct to say the series is based on The Brass Verdict." If that's the case, isn't it correct to say Humphrey serves as showrunner, rather than showunner "for the first season." Seems to be a case of having it both ways. 'Salem's Lot (film)

Hi, could I kindly ask why 'Salem's Lot (film) wasn’t just moved into mainspace from the draft I had preprared? Thanks.

@KaitoNkmara23: I didn't see the draft until after it was created. However, when I redirected it, I noticed that the draft had some errors in its infobox, lead, and didn't follow MOS:BODY. The current article now has more info than the draft so no content was able to be moved. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 01:02, 28 August 2021 (UTC)
Even with the errors in the draft, the article shouldn’t be in the mainspace yet, as the film has not begun filming and is not expected to until September. I’ve restored the draft and I’m suggesting we move forward with improving the draft further until filming begins per WP:CRYSTAL.
@KaitoNkmara23: This is incorrect. The Hollywood Reporter that filming has begun in Boston. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 01:12, 28 August 2021 (UTC)
@KaitoNkmara23: Nevermind. My mistake. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 01:13, 28 August 2021 (UTC)
Thank you. I suggest we improve the existing draft until filming begins. (Forgot to sign the previous messages sorry). KaitoNkmra23 (talk!) 01:16, 28 August 2021 (UTC)
@KaitoNkmara23: Looking forward to be working together.  Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 01:17, 28 August 2021 (UTC)
@Some Dude From North Carolina: As am I. Thanks again.   KaitoNkmra23 (talk!) 01:26, 28 August 2021 (UTC)

"'Salem's Lot (film)" listed at Redirects for discussion

A discussion is taking place to address the redirect 'Salem's Lot (film). The discussion will occur at Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2021 August 28#'Salem's Lot (film) until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. KaitoNkmra23 (talk!) 07:10, 28 August 2021 (UTC)

Hi again. I listed 'Salem's Lot (film) on Redirects for discussion as I’m unsure if there’s a method to move an article from draft to mainspace whilst keeping the edit history if there is a redirect obstructing the page move. I’m fairly new to this process so please let me know if there is another method, or I’ve done anything wrong and/or if I’m being misinformed. Thanks again. WP:TRAILER

Hey! I just noticed this edit and although I'm neutral on the situation I did notice that WP:TRAILER is part of MOS:FILM which technically only applies to films while MOS:TV doesn't explicitly state any information on trailers. I'll typically note the release date of a trailer in a marketing or release/broadcast section at times but as I said I'm neutral on whether or not it's there and am more likely to add it for consistency reasons. It may require a wider community discussion whether the information is useful or not. Just thought I'd bring it to someone's attention cause starting this discussion isn't specifically on the top of my to-do list currently. TheDoctorWho (talk) 02:20, 29 August 2021 (UTC)

WP:OVERLINK vs WP:DUPLINK

Hi, just letting you know that WP:OVERLINK refers to things that shouldn't be linked at all since they're generally understandable, like countries, major cities, common words etc. The policy for repeated links is WP:DUPLINK. Thanks. IronManCap (talk) 22:11, 7 September 2021 (UTC)

@IronManCap: Thanks for the message. Will keep this in mind. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 22:11, 7 September 2021 (UTC)
