Moving Frame Productions
Moving Frame Productions should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because Moving Frame productions is one of the most popular Film Making Institutes in Delhi, with more than 1000 students and its youtube channel has over 100 videos with over 1 million views. It is soon going to launch its branches in Mumbai and bangalore, it has over 100 members.Shashankmfp (talk) 21:37, 4 January 2017 (UTC)
Too speedy?
Hi Meiloorun, thanks for the work you do at new pages patrol. I was thinking that we should give editors a bit more time to fix their drafts and find sources, even if it's only half an hour. With 22 Savage, it was created at 00:36, 12 January and tagged during the same minute, which was on the fast side! Best, SarahSV (talk) 02:40, 12 January 2017 (UTC)
- @SlimVirgin:I admit that I might be very fast at patrolling articles (as I spam that refresh button), but I believe the 22 Savage article didn't meet WP:bio, because a google search showed that news about 22 Savage was mainly trivial, mostly just comparing him as a doppelganger to 21 Savage. However I understand that speedy patrolling can cause problems (it has for me once), and I will be sure to slow down in the future. Cheers, Meiloorun (talk) 🍁 03:29, 12 January 2017 (UTC)
New Page Patrol
Hi there,
Just letting you know I've removed the A7 tag from INSTITUTE_OF_COMPANY_SECRETARIES_OF_INDIA as it is prima facie an educational institution (see, e.g., the top level domain in the URL), which is not eligible for A7. Also, the page was tagged only 3 minutes after creation. Consider waiting about 10 minutes unless it's very obviously promotional, otherwise it is bitey. Cheers, Matthew Thompson talk to me! 05:02, 12 January 2017 (UTC)
- @Thompson.matthew:I know about how educational institutions are exempt from A7 and didn't know that this was an educational institution. However, I'm just wondering now why it was still deleted? Meiloorun (talk) 🍁 05:11, 12 January 2017 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: Vivek Misra
Hello Meiloorun. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Vivek Misra, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Article claims importance/significance of the subject. Thank you. SoWhy 21:33, 24 January 2017 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of Narrowrooms
Hello Meiloorun. Just to let you know I declined the speedy you put up for [WP:A3|CSD A3]] on Narrowrooms. There is consensus that we shouldn't tag pages as lacking context (CSD A1) and/or content (CSD A3) moments after they are created, and we should wait at least 10-15 minutes. That being said, Narrowrooms didn't fit CSD A3, but much better fit CSD G2 which is for test pages. It's really not that big of a deal, it is just nice to put the correct notice on the new user's talk pages, so they know what they did wrong, and how to fix it in the future, so that we don't bite the newbies. Thanks, happy editing, and keep up the good work. {MordeKyle} ☢ 02:07, 1 February 2017 (UTC)
New Page Review - newsletter No.2
- A HUGE backlog
We now have 816 New Page Reviewers!
Most of us requested the user right at PERM, expressing a wish to be able to do something about the huge backlog, but the chart on the right does not demonstrate any changes to the pre-user-right levels of October.
The backlog is still steadily growing at a rate of 150 a day or 4,650 a month. Only 20 reviews a day by each reviewer over the next few days would bring the backlog down to a managable level and the daily input can then be processed by each reviewer doing only 2 or 3 reviews a day - that's about 5 minutes work!
It didn't work in time to relax for the Xmas/New Year holidays. Let's see if we can achieve our goal before Easter, otherwise by Thanksgiving it will be closer to 70,000.
- Second set of eyes
Remember that we are the only guardians of quality of new articles, we alone have to ensure that pages are being correctly tagged by non-Reviewer patrollers and that new authors are not being bitten.
- Abuse
This is even more important and extra vigilance is required considering Orangemoody, and
- this very recent case of paid advertising by a Reviewer resulting in a community ban.
- this case in January of paid advertising by a Reviewer, also resulting in a community ban.
- This Reviewer is indefinitely blocked for sockpuppetry.
Coordinator election
Kudpung is stepping down after 6 years as unofficial coordinator of New Page Patrolling/Reviewing. There is enough work for two people and two coords are now required. Details are at NPR Coordinators; nominate someone or nominate yourself. Date for the actual suffrage will be published later.

Animation Imprint is....
Thanks for your direct message, but specifically AI talks about two teenagers who worked hard to get where they are, not about being on wikipedia, if anything it would be an honor just to be NOTICED on the website. I hope you reconsider... this would bring a lot of joy to the people who watch Animation Imprint. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Animation Imprint (talk • contribs) 02:06, 6 February 2017 (UTC)
The Texas Toe
Hi Meiloorun. As a long time Wikipedia contributor and reader, I appreciated what you do, there would be no Wikipedia without people like you. I do contest your deletion of my article on the Texas Toe however. I live in Northern Vermont and I know we don't rank much to the rest of the US. However in the post analysis of the NFC championship, a local sports ancher discussed the maneuver of the Texas Toe on air (live). I found the description so compelling that I have kept it in my back pocket. IT has proved critical during this superbowl and so I thought it deserved a wiki page as something people are talking about, I can't go downtown without the Texas Toe being mentioned (I'm sure it will be worse now that the Super Bowl has demonstrated the value of the maneuver). I am an old man and I am sorry if I did not write my article to WIKI standards, please help me make it correct according to the standards, I only want to help world knowledge, and I am thrilled to contribute. — Preceding unsigned comment added by DaBjork (talk • contribs) 02:36, 6 February 2017 (UTC)
- @DaBjork: Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. If this maneuver actually exists, and talk about it is growing, we'll have to wait for a bit until it is covered by some reliable news sources. Right now a Google search for it turns up absolutely nothing, so we'll have to give it some time. If you have any other questions, please ask them here! Meiloorun (talk) 🍁 04:09, 6 February 2017 (UTC)
I don't really have any other questions per se but I will say the texas toe is the talk of the town in Stowe tonight! is it acceptable to expunge knowledge because we don't have a website? I'm sorry that we don't meet your standard of credibility, but I thought that since no one is claiming otherwise our small town wisdom would be at least accepted if not embraced. I'm sorry that our contribution to human culture rings false to you, i really am. Let me know if I can be of further service.
I would further point out that Google is not the arbiter of what is important to humans. Zero google returns does not mean zero value #goNewEngland #weAreStillHere #ruralUSA — Preceding unsigned comment added by DaBjork (talk • contribs) 04:42, 6 February 2017 (UTC)
Are people who look up the Texas Toe disappointed? yes if they know what it means. That is unfair.
- @DaBjork: Please keep this in mind. According to the general notability guidelines,
Information on Wikipedia must be verifiable; if no reliable third-party sources can be found on a topic, then it should not have a separate article.
Therefore if there is no proof of it, it cannot be on Wikipedia. This is why we need to give this time, or for the time being it is considered a hoax. Meiloorun (talk) 🍁 05:53, 6 February 2017 (UTC)
Your message for tag new article Roy Tan for deletion
Hi I am new to this so not sure if this is right place to communicate. I got a message indicate that you have tag a new page i created for deletion, due to copyright concerns. I want to clarify the nay content used from roytanmusic.com for bio of musician Roy Tan is used with permission. You can contact the site via "Contact" on its website if needed. Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ccutequeen (talk • contribs) 06:38, 6 February 2017 (UTC)
- @Ccutequeen: Welcome to Wikipedia. Your page Roy Tan is still a direct copyright violation of https://roytanmusic.com/about/ because you can clearly see at the bottom of the about page that it says ©2017 ROY TAN MUSIC. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED.
- According to Wikipedia's copyright guidelines,

- @Mikeroe3:What you must understand is that all content on Wikipedia must be verifiable. If there is no proof it happened, then it can be considered a hoax, as in your situation. The "contest this deletion" button adds a statement to your talk page to be reviewed by an admin. It does not affect your article. Please read over Wikipedia:Verifiability before creating your next article. Meiloorun (talk) 🍁 00:58, 17 February 2017 (UTC)
Ronald Savage
Hi Meiloorun
I fixed the [awkward] on the Ronald Savage article down on the Controversy section and wanted to see if you can delete your [awkward] placed, it reads now→- In 2011, then a New York State Democratic Committeeman for the 76th Assembly District, Ronald Savage stated by the New York Daily News was paid back by Bronx Boro President Ruben Diaz Jr. which savage was not reappointed back to local Community Board #9 in the Soundview area of the Bronx, N.Y. by Diaz, because Savage helped Charlie Ramos (a candidate for senate) in the 2011 September primary elections against Ruben Diaz Jr's father New York state Sen. Ruben Diaz Sr.[awkward][11]

Hi, @Street sting:Did you mean Diaz avenged his father by not reappointing Savage? By the way, you don't need to ask me to remove the tag, you can be bold and remove it in this case. Cheers, Meiloorun (talk) 🍁 02:00, 17 February 2017 (UTC)

I have problem since your Speedy deletion nomination of Chuth Khay
Dear Meiloorun, I'm a specialist of Cambodian literature. I wrote few texts in Wikipedia, about "Soth Polin", "Khun Srun" without any problem. When I started the text about "Chuth Khay", I suddenly received your Speedy deletion nomination of Chuth Khay. My work is a serious work with good references, sir. Since your deletion nomination, I cannot edit anything (I tried with "khun srun" and suddently somebody told me I was vandalizing Wikipédia!!!). I'm very upset and very sad. I don't know what happened. Maybe, I'm not considered as "faithfull" anymore because of your speedy deletion nomination. I tried to contest the delation 4 times but without any answer. Could you please help me? Could explain everything to the administrators, please, so I can go on with my work. Article tagged for speedy deletion - what could be improved
Hi, Meiloorun, thank you for checking quality of so many Wikipedia articles. Cardinity article was marked for speedy deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia. I have created the article based on structure and types of information provided in already approved articles of similar comapanies. Could you provide criteria on which importance of the subject could be measured? Having that I could possibly correct existing article or at least do not create low value articles in future. Indresi (talk) 00:06, 3 March 2017 (UTC)
- @Indresi: The notability criteria for companies is listed here. Your article has no independent third party, and relies on information from the company's website, and therefore doesn't prove its notability. If you would like, it is possible for me to move your article to Articles for Creation, where you can work on it and submit it to experienced Wikipedians for review. - The new page backlog is currently at 18,511 pages. We have worked hard to decrease from over 22,000, but more hard work is needed! Please consider reviewing even just a few pages a a day.
- Some editors are committing to work specifically on patrolling new pages on 15 July. If you have not reviewed new pages in a while, this might be a good time to be involved. Please remember that quality of patrolling is more important than quantity, that the speedy deletion criteria should be followed strictly, and that ovetagging for minor issues should be avoided.
Technology update:
- Several requests have been put into Phabractor to increase usability of the New Pages Feed and the Page Curation toolbar. For more details or to suggest improvements go to Wikipedia:Page Curation/Suggested improvements
- The tutorial has been updated to include links to the following useful userscripts. If you were not aware of them, they could be useful in your efforts reviewing new pages:
- User:Lourdes/PageCuration.js adds a link to the new pages feed and page curation toolbar to your top toolbar on Wikipedia
- User:The Earwig/copyvios.js adds a link in your side toolbox that will run the current page through

Contested deletion==Speedy deletion nomination of VASOUNDLLC
Hello How are you? This topic is covering a minority entity of Music & Fashion;the name (VA Sound) implies Visual Arts & Production; It does not meet the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is relevant too the topic:Arts,Entertainment & Media Production. Any published articles around(VASOUNDLLC)are not intended to misinform the public; and are here instead too present facts regarding this newly formed Production company. If there is any inquiries surrounding my appeal please; reach me here 1st(I will happily answer any questions) Thank you for reading.Artboy93Artboy93 (talk) 07:35, 22 August 2017 (UTC)
- @Artboy93: The deletion was never about any misinformation, it was that this company did not meet wikipedia's Notability standards for companies. It has no third party sources (news articles or other publications) to verify its information that makes it worthy for inclusion. Meiloorun (talk) 🍁 17:18, 22 August 2017 (UTC)

Hi there,
I saw your question about this draft on IRC, but didn't reply until, I think, you had disconnected. There's not a clear guideline for what to do in such a scenario, but I think it may be a good use of "history merge" which allows the record of contributions of two pages to be combined. It's sort of complicated, and to be honest I'm not sure if it's applicable, but if you see some odd edits happen to the draft in the next day or two, that's why. :) — Rhododendrites talk \\ 01:26, 6 September 2017 (UTC)
- Hmmm well not exactly what I intended, but it looks like the pages were simply switched. Sort of. The newer version was moved to Simon Viklund (version 2) as, I imagine, a temporary solution? — Rhododendrites talk \\ 13:18, 6 September 2017 (UTC)
- @Rhododendrites:, Um I guess it works then? No sign of the newer/stub version though. Meiloorun (talk) 🍁 23:26, 6 September 2017 (UTC)
- It was moved to Simon Viklund (version 2). I'm not sure to what extent this was a standard procedure, but it doesn't make much sense to me to have it at such a location, even temporarily. I've moved it to Draft:Simon Viklund (it's a redirect, but the article is there in the history), which sort of completes the swap. Pinging Zxcvbnm, too, to let him/her know. Sorry for the confusion. This wasn't what I had in mind when I requested a history merge (in an ideal world, the history would have everybody's edits), but it does make sense to have the older and longer version be the main article and to merge the other into it. — Rhododendrites talk \\ 05:58, 7 September 2017 (UTC)

New Page Reviewer Newsletter
Backlog update:
- The new page backlog is currently at 14304 pages. We have worked hard to decrease from over 22,000, but more hard work is needed! Please consider reviewing even just a few pages a day.
- Currently there are 532 pages in the backlog that were created by non-autoconfirmed users before WP:ACTRIAL. The NPP project is undertaking a drive to clear these pages from the backlog before they hit the 90 day Google index point. Please consider reviewing a few today!
Technology update:
- The Wikimedia Foundation is currently working on creating a new filter for page curation that will allow new page patrollers to filter by extended confirmed status. For more information see: T175225
General project update:
- On 14 September 2017 the English Wikipedia began the autoconfirmed article creation trial. For a six month period, creation of articles in the mainspace of the English Wikipedia will be restricted to users with autoconfirmed status. New users who attempt article creation will now be redirected to a newly designed landing page.
- Before clicking on a reference or external link while reviewing a page, please be careful that the site looks trustworthy. If you have a question about the safety of clicking on a link, it is better not to click on it.

Simon Viklund Draft Conflict
Hi, I accidentally created the page called Simon Viklund before your draft got approved! My apologies for not checking, I wasn't active for many years and didn't realize Drafts were a thing now. I will check for drafts before making new articles from now on. I think you should just withdraw your draft from review and try to merge it with the one I made. Yours is obviously more complete but mine might have some information you didn't include.ZXCVBNM (TALK) 12:23, 14 August 2017 (UTC)

Please only capitalize proper noun "principal" isn't one. Also, please avoid using "Mr.", "Dr.", "professor" per wp:credential and wp:honorific Thank you Jim1138 (talk) 07:33, 28 October 2017 (UTC)
- @Jim1138:, I didn't write those names, they were written by another user when the page was created. I should've caught those when I was fixing up the page. Thanks for the notice! Meiloorun (talk) 🍁 18:04, 28 October 2017 (UTC)
- My apology. The diff showed "principal" highlighted, so I thought you had added it. I did miss a space, so we're even! Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 19:44, 28 October 2017 (UTC)

ArbCom 2017 election voter message
Hello, Meiloorun. Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2017 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 3 December 2017 (UTC)
New Page Reviewer Newsletter
Backlog update:
- The new page backlog is currently at 12713 pages. Please consider reviewing even just a few pages each day! If everyone helps out, it will really put a dent in the backlog.
- Currently the backlog stretches back to March and some pages in the backlog have passed the 90 day Google index point. Please consider reviewing some of them!
Outreach and Invitations:
- If you know other editors with a good understanding of Wikipedia policy, invite them to join NPP by dropping the invitation template on their talk page with:
{{subst:NPR invite}}
. Adding more qualified reviewers will help with keeping the backlog manageable.
New Year New Page Review Drive
- A backlog drive is planned for the start of the year, beginning on January 1st and running until the end of the month. Unique prizes will be given in tiers for both the total number of reviews made, as well as the longest 'streak' maintained.
- Note: quality reviewing is extremely important, please do not sacrifice quality for quantity.
General project update:
- ACTRIAL has resulted in a significant increase in the quality of new submissions, with noticeably fewer CSD, PROD, and BLPPROD candidates in the new page feed. However, the majority of the backlog still dates back to before ACTRIAL started, so consider reviewing articles from the middle or back of the backlog.
- The NPP Browser can help you quickly find articles with topics that you prefer to review from within the backlog.
- To keep up with the latest conversation on New Pages Patrol or to ask questions, you can go to Wikipedia talk:New pages patrol/Reviewers and add it to your watchlist.

New Years new page backlog drive
Announcing the NPP New Year Backlog Drive!
We have done amazing work so far in December to reduce the New Pages Feed backlog by over 3000 articles! Now is the time to capitalise on our momentum and help eliminate the backlog!
The backlog drive will begin on January 1st and run until January 29th. Prize tiers and other info can be found HERE.
Awards will be given in tiers in two categories:
- The total number of reviews completed for the month.
- The minimum weekly total maintained for all four weeks of the backlog drive.
NOTE: It is extremely important that we focus on quality reviewing. Despite our goal of reducing the backlog as much as possible, please do not rush while reviewing.
