Revert on American Idol

Hi Isaacwshearer, I just wanted to give you a heads-up that I reverted edits you recently made to American Idol. I did so because the table you added expressed the same information as could be seen in the collapsed table/graphic directly above it. Let me know if you have any questions! Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited The X Factor (Australian TV series), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page John Reid (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, List of MasterChef Junior episodes. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – :all season pages of MasterChef Junior. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at :all season pages of MasterChef Junior. If you have new information to add, you might want to discuss it at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Dahlia Sin as guest in RuPaul's Drag Race 12

edit

Please delete your changes in RuPaul's Drag Race (season 12) of including Dahlia Sin as "guest" in episodes where she was included as cameo. There was consensus in Talk of this page to not include these appearances as guest. It is inconsistent with previous seasons. She wasn't competing and was showed for couple of seconds. Including her in all those episodes and not all the other queens in episode 2 seems random.

It is clearly written at MOS:SMALLTEXT that small text should not be used. This is the manual of style which all pages should refer to. There is no valid argument for making text small. Additionally, WP:COLOUR specifies that dark text on a dark background is NOT readable. Please do not make such edits again. I've not go round to updating All Stars 1 and 2 or the rest of the Drag Race Articles yet. There was a full discussion on this at: Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_RuPaul's_Drag_Race#Web_accessibility_and_adhering_to_the_manual_of_styleLil-Unique1 -{ Talk }- 12:49, 9 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

An article you recently created, Downton Draggy, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?)   Hello Isaacwshearer, and welcome to Wikipedia. Your additions to Handmaids to Kitty Girls have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

 • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
 • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
 • Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
 • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
 • In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are PD or compatibly licensed) it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions, the help desk or the Teahouse before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
 • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps in Wikipedia:Translation#How to translate. See also Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Moneytrees🏝️Talk🌴Help out at CCI! 15:52, 30 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, articles should not be moved, as you did to Black Mamba (roller coaster), without good reason. They should have a name that is both accurate and intuitive. Wikipedia has some guidelines in place to help with this. Generally, a page should only be moved to a new title if the current name doesn't follow these guidelines. Also, if a page move is being discussed, consensus needs to be reached before anybody moves the page. If you would like to experiment with page titles and moving, please use the test Wikipedia. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. GoneIn60 (talk) 16:11, 11 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Please do not move a page to a title that is harder to follow, or move it unilaterally against naming conventions or consensus, as you did to The Incredible Hulk Coaster. This includes making page moves while a discussion remains underway. We have some guidelines to help with deciding what title is best for a subject. If you would like to experiment with page titles and moving, please use the test Wikipedia. Thank you. GoneIn60 (talk) 16:39, 11 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Isaacwshearer - The extremely high number of article moves you made was very disruptive to the project - especially knowing that you did not have any kind of discussion about it first. The only choice I had in order to prevent further disruption was to temporarily block your account. Please do not move any more articles like this again, and without getting approval following a discussion. This block is for 36 hours; if you perform any more article moves without approval following a discussion, you will be blocked again without further notice, and likely indefinitely (which will require you to request an unblock, explain your actions, and convince us that this won't happen again before it would be considered). ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 20:04, 11 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Your addition to Taylor Zakhar Perez has been removed in whole or in part, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. If you are the copyright holder, please read Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for more information on uploading your material to Wikipedia. For legal reasons, Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted material, including text or images from print publications or from other websites, without an appropriate and verifiable license. All such contributions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of content, such as sentences or images—you must write using your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously, and persistent violators of our copyright policy will be blocked from editing. See Wikipedia:Copying text from other sources for more information. Priyanka

edit

Please note that just adding an infobox, with no body content or referencing, is not a keepable Wikipedia article. If you can reliably source an article that demonstrates that Priyanka actually passes a notability criterion, that would be one thing — but she's not automatically entitled to have an article just for being a competitor on a reality show per se, so an article about her has to say a lot more than just an unreferenced statement that she exists. Bearcat (talk) 17:37, 13 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

For any queen to qualify for a standalone article, she must either (a) be declared the winner of the season in the final episode, or (b) establish that she's notable for other reasons besides appearing in the season per se, such as already having had preexisting notability before she was on the season or going on to do other notable things (such as recording a single that charts and gets her over WP:NMUSIC) after the season is over. The simple fact of appearing in a reality show season is not a notability-clinching achievement that guarantees the right to a Wikipedia article in and of itself — the fact you can single-source the fact of being on the show to a single piece of "meet the contestants" coverage is not enough. And when it comes to either The Zone or The Next Star, she still isn't automatically notable just because she did those things either — to become notable for working on those shows, she still has to show that she got media coverage about, and/or awards for, her work on those shows.
