Peer Review Needed
editHi,
I have created an artcle, The Lokpal Bill, 2011. I need your help for getting it reviewed.

Joelster
editRight now I'm worried about him. I wonder what happened to him because the last time I checked, I left a message about Elaine as one of the boys, what does it mean and how can you tell in those episodes. I also left on Seinfeld Wikiproject about story-driven vs character-driven, what those it mean and whether Seinfeld is in those two categories. His last contribution is that he's retired. I don't know what to do and I couldn't figure out those remaining terms I left in his message. If you have any ideas, leave it on my message that I want to refresh because it those became boring after a few months. Please also talk to Inkquill because it's going to be harder to go on without him. I'd be grateful if you still like to stay on board. Forgive me if I delete my messages again because right now nothings happening and I don't want to go out on a rage. Johnnyauau2000 (talk) 06:45, 15 June 2008 (UTC)
I'll break off Seinfeld until July.
editI was horrified that Joelster simply didn't leave any messages before he leaves. I'll certainly work on other articles until the 1st of July. In the meantime, even if you're not editing, at least let me know what's happening because I do get a bit lonely if someone decides that something must happen or must not happen so I'll be waiting until I'm confident that it will as long as there aren't any issues. If Joelster does come back, tell him I say hello. Johnnyauau2000 (talk) 17:52, 15 June 2008 (UTC)

Nothings happening today.
editHey! What's going on today because everyone seems to be busy but nothings happening around here. Maybe you should also update me about what you and Inkquill are doing. I don't know what the others are doing so I'm guessing they have no more ideas left. I'm glad you did a good job on the main article. I also did a minor change about "Hello Newman" and the various ways that people will say it. Anyway, keep me up to date. As for Joelster, well if he's gone for too long, I'm going to see if he got the guts to well, I like to see how people solve their problems. Lastly if you're into games, maybe you or someone you know can join Strategy Wiki which is similar to this but uses templates quite frequently. You'll like it. Just type strategy wiki on the search engine and aim for the top. Johnnyauau2000 (talk) 00:30, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (Image:Jannat poster.jpg)
edit Thanks for uploading Image:Jannat poster.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:22, 26 June 2008 (UTC)
Sir, I found you from the LOCE page. Iam a non-native english editor in Wikipedia and so my English is not well enough to write an article in FA standard. For over several months I've worked in the Ayyavazhi article and've brought it to the present level. The article has also been nominated for FAC and GA but failed. The most important among few reasons is the writen language (low standard english). The other reason then was the citations and now it was rectified. By now the only problem, if exist, may be the written language which may be cleared out by a copy-edit from a good copy-editor well-versed in English. To be noted, The article also was requested for copy-edit in the LOCE page. But no one did it. Later the request was archived. I wish to nominate the article for FAC. So I kindly request you to do the Copy-edit work in the article and very much request you to give your suggestions for promoting it to FAC level. Also I request to be patient while copy-editing because there are too many citations (foot notes) in the article and so while editing in edit box it may confuse you. Thanks - PAUL RAJ 18:57, 3 July 2008 (UTC)
I need your opinion on this.
editI know you might be busy but I'd like to leave a short message. If you check on the WikiPorject Seinfeld discussion page on the very last part talks about a new system. I already left a message asking for more info. I need you to check on it and see if you want to stick to the old system or not. Also, if you have something new to add to the page than go for it. The Seinfeld article is still B grade so what more can we add to it? I appreciate it. Johnnyauau2000 (talk) 04:45, 7 July 2008 (UTC)
- The question is how? To make it to GA or FA, we need something that we can do to bring the article to another level. If we don't want to become C-C grade then what? That's why I need to consult you. I'll answer for you what our response is if you want. Now we should start thinking about is what's next. Is this as far as we can go? Let me know on this. Johnnyauau2000 (talk) 10:41, 7 July 2008 (UTC)
- "Language is not a problem" ... What do you mean by language? Are you talking about different languages or is it something else? I tried to bring it up but their response is cold some months ago. In the meantime I'll consider those ideas and for sources, well we need to find sources that works on the Seinfeld article. I'll find some that I remember and give you links that you can take a look at besides the main Seinfeld official website. The rest of the article could still use more depth especially the last section of Season 8 and 9. I feel the summary of season 9 is left to be desired. Overall, you should take it easy until you got the energy to continue editing. I did take a long break so I'm still waiting for something new that just "click". Oil shale extraction
editThank you very much for your edits to improve a prose of this article. This is a great help. I am afraid that there will be more need for similar actions. I knew you copyedited this article last year, but as there have been some developments with this article, maybe you could watch the FAC discussion and assists with edits, if necessary? Thank you.
Questions
editHi. Thanks for all you do for Wikipedia.
How do you get those "this user is..." pictures on your page? Lmnop888 (talk) 22:32, 4 September 2008 (UTC)
Image copyright problem with Image:Hattrick poster.jpg
editThanks for uploading Image:Hattrick poster.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
- That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Disputed non-free use rationale for Image:DDLJ DVD.jpg
editThank you for uploading Image:DDLJ DVD.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 21:29, 19 September 2008 (UTC)

I have a thought on the Seinfeld article.
editI was thinking of adding two controversy (if I spelled correctly), one is the poisonous invitations which got George in hot water and the Puerto Rican Day which causes outrage. I want to do it but I wanna know what you think first. Since there's a web reference on the official site, it might be worth putting in. What do you think? Johnnyauau2000 (talk) 10:39, 25 October 2008 (UTC) Thank you. One more thing. How do people reply? I do sometimes have messages with a "RE" on it. Johnnyauau2000 (talk) 11:03, 25 October 2008 (UTC) Also I do have a tough time figuring out what makes Elaine one of the boys which is left unanswered. I was wondering what does "straight face" mean. So I might need help about that part. I don't know any other shows which makes girls as one of the boys. I still don't know what that means so I hope you can give me an idea over it. Johnnyauau2000 (talk) 01:42, 26 October 2008 (UTC) I've added the episode "The Bet" that was replaced by "The Phone Message". If you still have time you can cleanup the part that should fit in ok. Also I did mention what makes Elaine one of the boys a little earier. I'll try to find more things which should "click" in the article. Johnnyauau2000 (talk) 00:18, 27 October 2008 (UTC) Ok, I'll remember that next time. I'll find something else maybe for other sections. In the meantime, I want to know what makes Elaine unique that I mentioned about three times already. I know certain info shouldn't see the daylight but still, it's worth at least keep the person interested in the article. Johnnyauau2000 (talk) 01:29, 27 October 2008 (UTC)

Seinfeld article still need something.
editIt's going to be hectic near the end of this year. So far I couldn't think of anything else to add to it other than the controversies I mentioned should be even out between the seasons. What else can I focus on? I know the article needs resources but where do we really need it? If you think about it, it's very hard to get info out of thin air. I can find references and so can you but you got find more things that we can talk about. I can do it but I'll be worried about making a big mistake. There's still about two weeks until Christmas and I'm beginning to think that my efforts are easily wasted because I'm also dealing with editors that will try to vandalize in minor ways. Anyway, not to sound like a jerk, you'll be turning into a professional editor soon. Your contribution is quite helpful and I hope your talent will show soon. If you have any ideas for me, anytime in the future, let me know. Johnnyauau2000 (talk) 11:06, 12 December 2008 (UTC)

Redesigning the Seinfeld Project Page
editHello Gprince007. I have been working on redesigning the main page for the Seinfeld WikiProject at this page. So before I went on and changed the main page, I wanted to ask all the members how they felt about it. So could you take a look at it and give any suggestions to improving it at here. GA Seinfeld review.
editI'm just wandering, have we ticked all the areas on the list? I want you to check around to see if there are things that needs attention. Although easy to do but I probably lose track very quickly. If I'm not clear, it's on the Seinfeld "discussion" section where it has the one to ten part. Take your time and get back to me when you make your assessment. I like to do more but I'm not sure about the progress of the article and I do like to proof read a lot. Anyway, I hope I haven't interrupted you on anything, am I?
We pretty much cover the GA review with a few pointers that I would never understand like Reference 59. In the future, if there's anything else that the Seinfeld article needs, put it in or let me know or both. That's all. Thanks. Johnnyauau2000 (talk) 13:11, 30 October 2009 (UTC)

RE:Copyediting of Shale oil extraction article
editThank you for your notice. I absolutely agree with you. I don't plan any more changes, except checking and formatting references. However, I think that probably it would be practical to have some informal peer reviews before copyediting to avoid additional workload if additional changes are needed. Maybe you could recommend somebody who would like to review this article? Beagel (talk) 10:19, 20 September 2009 (UTC)
- There is one potential copyright issue and therefore one paragraph (about Independent Energy Partners' Geothermic Fuels Cells Process) is needed to be rewritten to avoid to avoid close paraphrasing. More information about this issue is here. Maybe you could help with this? Thank you. Beagel (talk) 20:44, 20 September 2009 (UTC)
Seinfeld legacy.
editI presume there's still more things that needs to be added and sorted. I'll make it short. Before or after Seinfeld came, I'll be curious what the sitcom has become around this period. After Seinfeld went off the air, what other shows would use the formula or something but that's another story. The only important question I hope to answer soon is "What's the legacy of the Seinfeld show?" I don't have any answers at the moment but if you have time, you can take a look at other shows and see if there's any input. Of course if I see something, I'll find a way to put it in. You should finish what you doing first before you continue working on the Seinfeld front page. I don't know who else to turn to so pass this message to anyone you know. Thank you. I'm afraid the issue on this page is because of me. I reverted the editor's change on the page of the main image and he seems to have become pointy in his other edits. My apologies. Wildhartlivie (talk) 02:42, 9 December 2009 (UTC)
- Glad to do it. I've been following the article along, mostly reverting vandalism and like I said, I'm afraid I set him off. His strict deadlines and not on point challenges made me sure he was planning to delist the article, no matter what happened and that really annoyed me. I'm glad it is headed in the right direction. Seinfeld overview.
editI must be honest with you. The first sentence "Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David pitch the show as about "nothing" similar to the "show within the show" in season's 4 "The Pilot" " is just a throw away sentence that has nothing to do with what makes their sitcom different in the first paragraph. I'm willing to compromise if you can make the sentence I delete to make it really fit into what the first paragraph is about. I'm not saying it's wrong but if you read it now, that first sentence should be somewhere else like for example "How the Seinfeld show began" or somewhere on the main article where it does fit in. I'm sorry to make a big deal but I'm doing my best to clear some inconsistencies. The article itself is more balanced now but what to do with the first sentence is a big ask for me. So you'll understand what I mean. Johnnyauau2000 (talk) 00:30, 22 December 2009 (UTC)

I changed the section header from 2010–present to "2010 onwards". If you would have looked at my edit summary from the original change, you would notice the WP:OTHERDATE reference, which states that "–present" is unacceptable within the body of an article (but it usually allowed in lists and infoboxes). You will notice articles use "Since" or "onwards" as an acceptable way to address the issue. –Kerαunoςcopia◁galaxies 22:11, 19 February 2010 (UTC)

editThanks for uploading File:She's the man poster.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 09:53, 15 July 2010 (UTC)

editHello Gprince007. When a non-free image is added to a page on Wikipedia, it is mandatory that such an image use is justified by a fair-use rationale. For this reason, this edit is not permissible. If you believe a valid fair-use rationale can be given for these four image-uses then please try to provide one. However, I would advise you that past consensus has typically been that these kind of image-uses cannot be justified with regard to the non-free content policy. CIreland (talk) 10:16, 5 September 2010 (UTC)
- Revision by AussieLegend, before your edit
- Revision by Gprince007
- Compare the Discography section of the two versions - there are four images that your edit added. CIreland (talk) 10:37, 5 September 2010 (UTC)
- Further to the above, the reason for removal was explained to the editor who kept adding it.[2] The section that you restored had been deleted twice already,[3][4] and, as you can see, my edit summary contained an explanation as to why it was removed. Since the table had been deleted twice, by different editors, you should have initiated a discusssion as to why it should be restored before restoring it. --AussieLegend (talk) 11:06, 5 September 2010 (UTC)
Shale oil extraction
editHi, Gprince007. I hope you are doing fine. It has been quite a long time since we last time discussed the FAC nomination of the Shale oil extraction article. Since then the article has been stable without any major changes. Therefore I think that this time it will be ready for the nomination. I would like to ask you to take a look and say your opinion about this. If there is any unsolved issues, please discuss this on the article's talk page. Otherwise, I will nominate it after few days. I also hope you will be around to keep your eye on the nomination process. Thank you in advance. Beagel (talk) 17:38, 20 November 2010 (UTC)

George Fernandes
editIn the interest of preventing a possible edit war, i must give my reasons for undoing your reversion of my edit. I believe that the incident must be mentioned, as it is related to Fernandes' manhunt. The "non-notability" argument fails to hold ground here, as the para does not provide unnecessary info about Snehalata Reddy and instead, just sticks to the incident. The para also does not contravene WP:UNDUE, as it's not that such incidents were common during the Government's search for Fernandes. Joyson Noel Holla at me 08:57, 14 December 2010 (UTC)
APPEAL TO YOU
Reg: [BRAHMAN PUJAN] , [UNIVERSAL PRAYERS] . written by [Naresh Sonee]
On wikipedia , These above two pages are far older than the present article [Brahman]
References of above titles are also available on New York site - http://www.printsasia.com/BookDetails.aspx?Id=445813482
Meanwhile, Can your good selves in Wiki Project Indian Community re-create a precise pages on [Naresh Sonee] & his book [Brahmand Pujan] – [Brahmaand Pujan] . However, Sonee is the writer of this book [Brahmand Pujan] written in 1999 . registered with Government of India- HRRD. Details of the registration is provided here on http://brhmaandpujanbook.tripod.com/ . More than sufficient, news and reviews are there on http://brhmaandpujan-news-reviews.tripod.com/
Since 5-6 yrs, for one or the other reason pages of [Naresh Sonee] & [Brahmand Pujan] are faced by communal bias from outside India so these articles over and again get deleted here in Wikipedia for minor reasons. However, many hits of - Naresh Sonee reflects on google search engine also. So, I request Wiki Indian community to kindly come forward and generously help these two pages to grow, as I am fed up to fight my case alone here [left] and moved out long back. Meanwhile, such an important info/issue on ‘Indian literature’ which adds & spell ‘new meaning /dimension’ to Brahman -should it stay lost else ignored? Your community panel has to judge at last.
Myself, will not be on Wikipedia, for the same i apologise, but- pls. help these two pages to get reinstalled, reap, sow and grow, if you too feel so, I appeal to do this munificent favour. Regards- Dralansun (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 06:55, 27 December 2010 (UTC).
Seinfeld GA Review
editTo be honest, I'm still puzzled. We and many others manage to bring the article up to speed and we're still at a B grade (I'm embarassed to use that school term). We address the list but nothing happens afterwards. Is there something more we should add or is this the best we can do? You don't have to give me an answer now but I do hope that very, very soon, this article would go beyond the B grade. I was going to expand the Chinese Restaurant in a brief way but it's too late already because of the controversy. Anyway, that's my thoughts so far.
Take your time, reply to me soon. Johnnyauau2000 (talk) 15:34, 25 January 2011 (UTC)

I'm sorry if you did check the talk page that I have a huge argument with Hearfourwesique but in the end, I have to give in because he's somehow dead serious in keeping the quote "Jerry, I've always...." Seinfeld Official Site Episodes.
editI don't know what really happened. I checked the official site and the web references of the episodes like "The Cadillac" and "The Bottle Deposit" is left blank. If you don't get what I mean, check the site anyway and search any episode to see if the info is still there or not. This could have huge problems leaving me to think over again, not just on the Seinfeld article but many, many more articles around Seinfeld would be affected badly. But since it's near Christmas, perhaps it's off for me not to edit on the Seinfeld articles until at least February or the issues with websites changing can be resolved. No offence but Wikipedia should have one more policy: website checking from time to time. Anyway, quite early for me to say but Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

WikiProject India Tag & Assess 2012 Contest
editHello friends, we are a number of editors from WikiProject India have got together to assess the many thousands of articles under the stewardship of the project, and we'd love to have you, a fellow member, join us. These articles require assessment, that is, the addition of a WikiProject template to the talk page of an article, assessing it for quality and importance and adding a few extra parameters to it.
As of March 11, 2012, 07:00 UTC, WikiProject India has 95,998 articles under its stewardship. Of these 13,980 articles are completely unassessed (both for class and importance) and another 42,415 articles are unassessed for importance only. Accordingly, a Tag & Assess 2012 drive-cum-contest has begun from March 01, 2012 to last till May 31, 2012.
If you are new to assessment, you can learn the minimum about how to evaluate from Part One of the Assessment Guide. Part Two of the Guide will help you learn to employ the full functionality of the talk page template, should you choose to do so.
You can sign up on the Tag & Assess page. There are a number of awards to be given in recognition of your efforts. Come & join us to take part in this exciting new venture. You'll learn more about India in this way.

If you have signed up but have not yet copy-edited any articles, please consider doing so. Every bit helps! If you haven't signed up yet, it's not too late. Join us! Progress report: Our target of completing the 2010 articles has almost been reached, with only 56 remaining of the 194 we had at the start of the drive. The last ones are always the most difficult, so thank you if you are able to help copy-edit any of the remaining articles. We have reduced the total backlog by 163 articles so far. Special thanks: Special thanks to Stfg, who has been going through the backlog and doing some preliminary vetting of the articles—removing copyright violations, doing initial clean-up, and nominating some for deletion. GOCE March drive wrap-up
edit Guild of Copy Editors March 2012 backlog elimination drive
Greetings from the Guild of Copy Editors March 2012 Backlog elimination drive! This is the most successful drive we have had for quite a while. Here is your end-of-drive wrap-up newsletter. Participation Of the 70 people who signed up for this drive, 40 copy-edited at least one article. Thanks to all who participated! Special acknowledgement goes out to Lfstevens, who did over 200 articles, most of them in the last third of the drive, and topped all three leaderboard categories. You're a superstar! Stfg and others have been pre-checking the articles for quality and conformance to Wikipedia guidelines; some have been nominated for deletion or had some preliminary clean-up done to help make the copy-edit process more fun and appealing. Thanks to all who helped get those nasty last few articles out of the target months. Progress report During this drive we were successful in eliminating our target months—October, November, and December 2010—from the queue, and have now eliminated all the 2010 articles from our list. We were able to complete 500 articles this month! End-of-drive results and barnstar information can be found here. When working on the backlog, please keep in mind that there are options other than copy-editing available; some articles may be candidates for deletion, or may not be suitable for copy-editing at this time for other reasons. The {{GOCEreviewed}} tag can be placed on any article you find to be totally uneditable, and you can nominate for deletion any that you discover to be copyright violations or completely unintelligible. If you need help deciding what to do, please contact any of the coordinators. Thank you for participating in the March 2012 drive! All contributions are appreciated. Our next copy-edit drive will be in May. Orphaned non-free media (File:Rock on poster.jpg)
editThanks for uploading File:Rock on poster.jpg.
You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:02, 19 September 2012 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
