GAN Secret of Evermore's plot section

Hello liquid, I'm reviewing the above GAN and we're pretty close to calling it done, the only problem is that some of the plot section remains unsourced because the game's dialogue does not show what's happening on screen. Biography of the American Rock band Wild History

Wild History (hyperlink: www.dedalus.ch/management/wildhistory.php) first came together on September 6, 1984 in a rented Scotch Plains, New Jersey rehearsal room. Sean O’Gara (guitarist) and Ed Horton (bass) had left their band of the last several years, “The Score”, and had advertised for a drummer and a singer to form an original band. Announcing their influences as U2, The Clash, The Jam and The Gang of Four, they wanted to make music of political import which would deeply move the listener by its truth.

Joe Reina (drummer) was a basically dissatisfied drummer in a copy band known as Masquerade, and felt a move into something more adventurous would suit him. The one thing he did like about Masquerade was the singer they had recently acquired, Joe Florio (vocals). At first, Joe Reina met Sean and Ed alone. It was a satisfactory evening and all felt some sort of common chord had been struck, though they also knew that without a singer and front man they were still a long way from where they wanted to be. On that night the drummer told them about Joe Florio and that he would ask him if he would be interested in auditioning.

When Joe Reina asked him to try out for an original band, he immediately expressed interest in doing an audition. From the first notes played on that fateful September 6th evening, all felt an overwhelming sense of promise. Sean’s funky, driving Viper guitar and Orange amp combination pressed urgently between the spaces in Ed’s tuba-like, melodic Rickenbacker bass lines, while Joe’s straight ahead drumming provided the necessary steady backbeat. Joe Florio’s vital and passionate vocals urged the other three to challenge each other, thus completing the chemistry between them. On that first night an extensive nucleus of a song that would later come to define their sound, “Forget You”, was born.

Nevertheless, they all wanted to be sure this was no illusion, so they arranged to meet a second time in two weeks. On that afternoon Ed’s self-penned “Right Through My Heart” was taught and run-through several times (This would be the lead track on the band’s only album “Guns or Butter”), as well as Sean’s intense “J’ai Malais”. An unusual, quirky harmony was created between Joe and Ed in the former tune, and Sean and Joe also sounded good together. By the end of that session each one knew this was the collaboration they had been seeking.

Over the next 6 months the band refined their repertoire. Some songs were brought in as individual compositions. The aforementioned tunes, as well as Ed’s “Struggling to Be Heard” and “Cousin Danny’s in the I.R.A.”, and Joe Florio’s “Going Now” and “John Smith” were composed and/or refined. But it was the songs they wrote almost effortlessly in jam sessions (something that would come to be standard for the group for most of its history) that left the greatest impression on the members: “Forget You”, “French Bayonet”, “Bombs”, “Too Hot to Trotsky”, and the signature Wild History song that was never left out of a gig, “Dear Mom”. Ed and Sean felt they had undoubtedly achieved their goal of making moving and important music, and the two Joes were completely enthused by what was happening, and impressed by the talents of the other two.

By the winter of 1985 the band was playing in small New Jersey clubs but they had not yet been able to attract the interest of he recording industry. Wild History decided that gigs were not as paramount as obtaining a recording contract, and therefore turned their attention to recording a demo. Their first two attempts failed to capture the sound they produced “live”. Finally, in the summer of 1985 they came up with a successful demo recording, and began sending the tape out to record companies. However, nothing came of these efforts over two months.

During this time Sean’s life changed in many ways, including the painful break-up of a long relationship and the offer of full-time work as an animal rights activist. Unfortunately, taking this position required a move to Maryland. He accepted it, though, and reluctantly informed the group members of his decision. Sean had been the unannounced leader of the group, and this came as a severe blow.

It took five months to find Sean’s replacement, but when Chuck Dzugan simply struck his guitar the band knew their prayers had been answered. The group’s second line-up had finally emerged, and within 4 months they were playing a strong 17 song set to audiences not only in New Jersey, but in New York City.

Eventually the band’s demo tape landed in the hands of the entertainment lawyer Alfred Goldfield, who had strong ties to the recording industry, particularly Columbia Records and Clive Davis. Soon A&R representatives from several record labels were attending the band’s performances regularly. Nevertheless, the band remained unsigned.

They remained confident, however, and found an investor to fund the recording and pressing of their only album, “Guns or Butter” (Breaking Records, 1987. In the end, the album did not fully meet the band’s sonic expectations, though it did reach the Top 10 on several college radio play lists (CMJ Report, April and May 1987). The record companies were still interested, though, so the band began rehearsing intensely, and in a few weeks was gigging again in New York City before record company representatives.

This final stage of the band’s history had its interesting points, one of which was the writing became more individual and less collective. This had not been a part of the writing process up to this point. It was a relatively prolific period in which the individual personalities took center stage, though each always had the band’s best interests in mind.

Soon they were in the studio recording the band compositions “I Tell the Lies”, "Stay Awhile" and “Whatcha Gonna Do?”, and a song that ironically garnered some interest, Joe Florio’s “In Our Time” (CMJ Report’s “Certain Damage” CD, Vol. 15), ironic because it was not at all a signature Wild History tune. Joe Florio's “How in the World (Would I Know)”, “Eye of the Serpent” and "I'm Washin' Away", a singular rendition of Harry Nilsson’s “Jump into the Fire” (which the band had been playing in concert since the early days), Sean’s “Rule of the Hammer”, and Chuck’s “The Savour” also made their way to tape. Though this was an interesting period, it was perhaps this more individualistic stage of the band’s career that later proved to be the main contributing factor to its demise.

After the recording industry lost interest in the band in early 1989, Wild History decided to disband in the summer of that year.

"Deja Vu" audio file

Hello giggy. As objected in the previous FAC, the audio file Image:DejaVuSample.ogg must be reduced in fidelity to comply WP:NFCC. Thanks to everyone who participated in my RfA, regardless of their !vote. I have withdrawn the nomination as a failure at 19 supports, 45 opposes, and 9 neutral statements. As has been written and sung, you can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you get what you need — and what I need is to go back to working on our shared project. Not everyone has to be an admin; there is a role for each of us. After reflection, I feel I don't have the temperament to secure community consensus as an admin at any point, and I will not be applying again in the future — and hey, that's all right, 'cause I stay true to the philosophy that adminship is no big deal: I tried, I failed, and now I'll return to doing what I've always done. I have an extremely strong belief in the consensus process, and the consensus was clear. GA and FA Taskforce

Okay I just made a cabal that was created to focus on one article at a time and then the entire cabal would have helped to get that article to at least GA status(or even FA). So I then requested the cabal to be deleted after a long talk about it and so i then had a conversation with Keeper 76 and xeno about the cabal after the deletion. Afterwords, xeno suggested a GA FA taskforce in WP:VG that would do the same thing my cabal would have done. So now i come before the grand court known as WP:VG to suggest a GA FA taskforce. My taskforce will pick one article at a time to build, move to another and and build that one. This would give WP:VG many more GA and FA. Consider my proposal. Glaring oversight in the introduction which you really should fix:

Users generally post anonymously, and the site has been linked to "Anonymous" and Project Chanology. The Guardian describes 4chan as "at once brilliant, ridiculous and alarming."

That's clearly a description of how the site produces content, rather than its impact upon anonymity and conduct. It's an error which runs through the article, ignoring the fact that there is nothing proactive or technology-focused about the website: what sets it apart is the presence of lawspeakers and "chan culture" in relaying discussions. Generally good. I might have put it on hold instead of failing it as the issues can potentially be resolved fairly quickly (but then, you're probably open to taking another look anyway). I also wouldn't suggest complete removal of the CBC section, but perhaps a reworking into the main Controversey section (in a less undue-weight-ish way). Fair use Rationales

Hi, any chance of standardising those into variants of the {{rationale}} template forms that exists?

The reason for desiring standard templates is so that bots don't inadvertently mistag, and for consistency across the project.

It's also noted that some of the images that have disputed fair-use rationale for insuffcient detail, have been tagged as such because of sourcing concerns as well as detail in the actual justifcation. Perhaps you could consider further expanding the rationales you have to address such concerns?

Um... bots should only tag if there is no link to the article. That's the limit of machine readability tagging. I've been improving this article WarCry (band) for a while and recently nominated it for Feat. Artc. but it failed, because of the way it ws referenced and some grammar errors, they guys suggested me to find a peer review volunteer to help me w/ the article, or at least tell me what's wrong and show me a way to fix it.
