My bot, EditorBot, was for approval at Wikipedia:Bots/Requests for approval/EditorBot, but it failed. The Bot account is reserved, however, and whether or not it will ever be used remains a mystery.

Welcome to my user page. You really should be editing right now. So why are you wasting your time reading this sentence? I could just go on an on about myself, but why should I? Since you are still here right now, I will welcome you under this comfy blanket.

Apparently only 56 or soWikipedians have created more articles than me.

About MeEdit

I started editing under this account shortly after the New Year, 2008, after editing under an IP for a while. My username is derived from that of User:Destroyerofthewiki, a sockpuppet of User:DavidYork71. Instead of destroying the wiki, I want to edit it, and I would have chosen a better username, but all the good ones are taken. I think that I did quite well with what's left, don't you think?

I am an active member of Wikipedia:WikiProject Earthquakes. I don't really have much of a liking of these destructive ruptures, in case you're wondering. They are pretty fun to write about however. My time there has not been wasted: I basically wrote FA 2002 Bou'in-Zahra earthquake (with some copyediting help and some small additions, mostly from from User:LordSunday) and GA 1992 Nicaragua earthquake (also written from scratch--this was speedied while a stub!).

I will tell you nothing about my personal life, since I don't know who you are, except I am a male human from the Planet Earth who was born sometime in the 20th century.

I am a bit of a linguist, as demonstrated by my languageboxes below:

Evesham Abbey bell tower
Evesham Abbey bell tower

Roger Norreis (died c. 1224) was a medieval Abbot of Evesham in England. A native of northern England, his family was probably of Norse origin. He was a monk at Christ Church Priory, the cathedral chapter of Canterbury Cathedral, and in 1187 he was appointed treasurer of the priory. The cathedral chapter sent him to King Henry II of England to plead their case against Baldwin of Forde, the Archbishop of Canterbury. After Norreis took Baldwin's side, the Canterbury monks captured Norreis and held him in custody. He escaped by travelling through the sewer and fled to the safety of the archbishop. In a mocking reference to his escape route, Norreis was sometimes called Roger Cloacarius or "Roger the Drain-Cleaner". In 1190 he was appointed to the abbacy of Evesham Abbey (16th-century bell tower pictured). There he was accused of immoral behaviour and failing to follow monastic rules. In 1202 he became embroiled in a dispute with his monks, and in 1213 the papal legate deposed him from the abbacy. (Full article...)
