Greeting & Welcome to my profile!! edit

Well I have same Question to you , Would you care to read and Answer Why the Article on Sant jarnail Singh Bhindrawale has biased nature & not conforming NPOV.

--Dilpreet Singh Virdi (talk) 14:41, 30 March 2010 (UTC)

Hi, the use of word "martyr" is not appropriate as per Wikipedia policy. Sant Bhindrawale was "killed in action" would be a more appropriate and neutral word. Let us leave it for the individual readers to draw their own conclusion. Thanks. Shovon (talk) 07:22, 31 March 2010 (UTC)
  • Hello Shovon , Please mention the policy you are talking about. However , Sant Bhindrawale had been declare Martyr officially by Sikh Highest body Akal Takht and is accepted by majority of Sikh bodies. Thanks.

Wikibreak ? edit

Shavon, I noticed the retirement template on your user page and dropped by to inquire if you are ok. I have seen you mainly at PINQ but you appear to be a knowledgeable and valuable contributor to wikipedia to me, and I would urge you to consider taking a wikibreak if you are feeling stressed at the moment. Please don't leave... edit

I looked into your recent edits and followed the case of Adil your (talk · contribs). His edits were reported to WP:AIV by you. The diff you furnished was of WP:POVPUSHING and not vandalism (as per the guidelines on WP:VANDALISM, such an edit though disruptive is not vandalism), rather you could have pasted this diff by him which was OBVIOUS VANDALISM. Whatever it was...no big deal! I got him warned by another admin User:Hipocrite, who volunteered to investigate the matter.

Please don't let this misunderstanding and miscommunication with admins stop you from editing Wikipedia! We need vigilant editors like you to stop the POVPUSHERS on Indian pages. A sincere request "Please come back".

Psychology of 911 Truth Movement and Government Claims edit

These articles together suggest that perhaps what makes people disagree so much about 911 is that they rely on different sources of information and are not aware of media strengths and weaknesses.

Edits to Tripura-related articles edit

Hi, thanks for contacting me on my talk page. All the edits I reverted were made by the same anonymous editor in August 2009, who gave no rationale for their changes, and who has not returned to Wikipedia since. In many cases, they deleted sections of text that talked about indigenous history, in other cases they added the adjective 'Bengali' where it did not belong or was superfluous. I call that vandalism. All I did was revert their changes. I did not add anything myself. I agree that some of the statements that were there previously need citation, but please explain specifically which parts were 'incorrect', instead of reverting the whole page to the corrupted version. Thanks! sephia karta | dimmi 20:15, 7 February 2010 (UTC)

Rebuttal of Shovon76's reversal of my edit. These are not "personal analyses." edit

I replaced some incorrect statements (in the article Indo-Pakistani War of 1947) by historically factual statements as detailed below.

Example 1: I replaced the sentence: “The legitimacy of this accession is still disputed.” by these sentences: The United States accepted the legitimacy of the accession. Speaking in the UN Security Council of February 4, 1948, Warren Austen, the representative of the United States of America, said, "...The external sovereignty of Kashmir is no longer under the control of the Maharaja... with the accession of Jammu and Kashmir to India, this foreign sovereignty went over to India and is exercised by India."

I do not know why you feel that I was "pushing without any sources".

You can check the proceedings of the UN Security Council on February 4, 1948 to verify whether the quote is correct or not. You can ask me to provide a reference, citation or a link. But you cannot revert a factually correct statement.

On the other hand, the article does not state who disputed the legitimacy of the accession. Surely such a sentence is not in conformity with “neutral point of view policy.” Is such a sentence acceptable to Wikipedia but a quote from UN Security Council proceedings not acceptable?

Example 2: The article stated: According to the instruments of accession relating to the Partition of India, the rulers of princely states were to be given the choice of either acceding to India or Pakistan, or remaining independent.

This statement is factually wrong. The instrument of accession did not give this choice. It was the Indian Independence Act, 1947 passed by the British parliament that gave this choice by amending the Government of India Act, 1935.

Accordingly I made the correction. I do not know whether you studied and verified the texts of the Indian Independence Act, 1947 passed by the British parliament and the instrument of accession to come to the conclusion that I was "pushing without any sources" I carefully studied the texts of both before contributing to the article.

Example 3: These are historical facts: "On 12 August 1947, the Maharaja asked India and Pakistan to enter into a standstill agreement with the princely state of Kashmir and Jammu that provided for honouring all the previous agreements and maintaining status quo. Pakistan accepted the standstill agreement with the Maharaja by telegram on 15 August 1947 but India did not agree to any such standstill agreement."

If you want a source, citation or a link, I can provide one. But you cannot reject a factually correct statement that is very pertinent to the main article.

I can give you more examples. Most of the changes made by me in the article are well documented by foreign governments, the UN, BBC, British and American (USA) newspapers and other reliable sources.

I do not think that your contention "pushing without any sources" and reverting the changes is correct. Yes, you may ask me for references but you cannot call them my "personal analyses." None of them is my personal analysis. Rao Ravindra (talk) 11:40, 25 March 2010 (UTC)

Please feel free to add them back, provided you can cite reliable sources. Thanks.Shovon (talk) 12:54, 25 March 2010 (UTC)

A1, Charles Campion edit

Please do take care with CSD; I appreciate that you almost immediately removed the tag, but eventhe first version of the article was not A1 - "Charles Campion is a food critic for the Evening Standard" is easily enough to identify the subject matter.

This is just friendly advice - I've had plenty of similar problems with CSD tagging myself, in the past. I only mention it because, had I not added citations, would you have removed the tag? It is a perfectly valid new article - I think it will meet notability requirements; we have to be careful not to be too harsh on new contributors.

I'm pleased to see that you removed the warning template, and welcomed them though - thanks for that.

If it was just a quick slip-of-the-finger, then please forgive my mentioning it.

Cheers,  Chzz  ►  10:54, 3 April 2010 (UTC)

Soupysoap edit

I noticed you reverted this guy's edits on Sculpture. I've requested a Sockpuppet Investigation on him with Checkuser as I'm pretty sure he is a sockpuppet for By78 and he has a distinctly anti-India/pro-China bias. GSMR and I have been following his actions for months and it turns out that he's spread his garbage to every corner of the internet. He had an account on Youtube which was suspended after he was reported for hate speech by GSMR. He seems to deny that he's Bo Yu, a student of the Ohio State University and a resident of Columbus, OH but that's what the IP trail (and his past edits) reveal. You can follow the status of the latest investigation in to himhere.Vedant (talk) 17:32, 21 April 2010 (UTC)

After reviewing Ao333's contributions, I'm confident that this is also another sockpuppet. I think that you need to create a new Sockpuppet investigation though for this user as you cannot add old users to the list. I'm also pretty sure that Jaguar's Pawis also another sock but this account hasn't been that active in editing and has stayed clear of controversial topics. Nonetheless, thanks for bringing it to my attention. Vedant(talk) 19:37, 21 April 2010 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:IAF-MI-35.JPG edit

Thanks for uploading File:IAF-MI-35.JPG. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication topermissions-en wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letterhere.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as{{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Are you egocentric edit

HI shovon! Thank you for your untiring contributions to Wikipedia specially in the India related pages. But, correct me if I am wrong, I found your attitude in proximity to egocentricity. In this regard, I may cite the example of your revert of my edit in the 'Assam' page. You have deleted my inclusion of muslim festival eid from the para of festivals on the pretext that we should talk about only traditional festival here. But the fact remains the para heading is 'Festivals' not only 'Traditional Festivals'.Then again ,if the religious festival 'Durga Puja' qualifies to be a traditional festival, why not 1400 years old festival 'Eid' did not qualify for the same? Is it because EID is related to the muslims? But you know it better then me that almost every third citizen of Assam practices this religion. Would you please clarify your position? Warm regards Unmesh Bangali (talk) 06:10, 5 June 2010 (UTC)

Hi Unmesh, sorry for the late reply. In fact, I had overlooked Durga Puja. As far as I remember, originally this section only talked about the traditional/indigenous festivals of Assam. Since Durga Puja is there, Eid should also be. I had reverted one more edit of yours. That was because, the concentration of Muslims would be more in the lower Assam districts than in the Barak Valley. Hope that makes things clear. Thanks. Shovon (talk) 15:50, 8 June 2010 (UTC)
Thank you so much!!! And I definitely undertand your position about the concentration of muslims. Unmesh Bangali (talk) 10:20, 9 June 2010 (UTC)

WikiProject India Newsletter Volume V, Issue no. 1 - (June 2010) edit

Project News

WP:IND Newsletter is back! It's been nearly a year since the last edition, but we hope to bring out issues on a more regular basis now. The India Wikiproject was set up to increasing coverage of India-related topics on Wikipedia, and over the past few months the focus has been on improvingarticle quality. A number of the project'sfeatured articles underwent featured article reviews over the past year. Of these, Darjeeling and Flag of India survived the review process, while the rest were demoted. During the same period, Gangtok, Harbhajan Singh, Darjeeling and Mysore were featured on the main page respectively on August 20, September 17, November 6 and December 29, 2009. Meanwhile, articles on topics as diverse as Political history of Mysore and Coorg (1565–1760), Marwari horse and Iravan were promoted as featured articles, and respectively appeared on the main page on March 25, May 17 and May 28, 2010. Consequently, the number of FA-class articles under the project's scope dropped from 67 in August 2009 to 63 in June 2010. The number of good articles, however, saw a more than 40% increase, from 91 to 130 during the same period, while the number of featured lists saw a 33% increase from 12 to 16.

Due to the recent policy changes regarding unreferenced Biographies of Living People(BLPs), an effort was started in January 2010 to source all unreferenced BLPs coming under Wikiproject India. 1200 such articles were identified initially and more were added to the list later. Due to the sourcing effort, the number of Indian unreferenced BLPs is down to565 currently. During February-April 2010, There was a scale disruption of Kerala related articles by a Thrissur based IP vandal. Editing from a dynamic IP BSNL connection, the vandal changed dates of birth, death and ages of a number of Malayalam and Tamil film actors. Later he added a few international biographies to his list. He also marked some living people like Arvind Swamy as dead. A month long range block was imposed on his IP range two times and each time he came back to vandalise dates once the block expired. Currently the range has been blocked for three months till September 11, 2010.

Manipal University Edits edit

Dear Shovon, I see that my edits are under your constant review. While I am doing my best to keep the language neutral across the pages please bear with me as I learn more of the wiki rules.

I would like to bring to your notice that the changes done by me are inline with most of the universities across the world. Including Indian universities like VIThttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VIT_University.

Let me know, how the changes done by me are any different from already available content on other universitites.

I would expect a reply soon, before I revert to the changes done by me.

Thanks Gayatri —Preceding unsigned comment added by Gayatri2388 (talkcontribs) 11:30, 16 July 2010 (UTC)

In Wikipedia, everything is written from a neutral, point of view. Moreover, self published sources (in this case, MU's website) may not be used for specifying things like ranking. Also, your tone of writing suggests that you are trying to glorify the subject of the article. Lastly, why did you change the following? -
  1. Deemed university to deemed university
  1. Removed the affiliating body i.e. UGC

Please feel free to leave a message for any further clarifictions. Thanks. Shovon(talk) 12:40, 16 July 2010 (UTC)

Greetings! I have posted a discussion topic in Jana Gana Mana talk page. With respect to it, I would like you to review my new article Jana Gana Mana (the complete song). thx. SASSOTO (talk) 08:01, 25 July 2010 (UTC)SASSOTO

I have posted a reply to the move of Jana Gana Mana article in its discussion page. Please have a look. Also, I am confused over you issuing me three repeated warnings on my talk-page for the same thing under different titles at 11:38, 12:00 and 13:49 of July 26,2010 whereas I had made no edits in between these timelines. Perhaps you could explain me the impatience in not waiting for my explanation. The last one was followed by a kind of threat of exercising your administrative powers. Also, I am offended by your warning on Vande Mataram talk page where you have created a section mentioning my name explicitly. I have got your message and am keen to cooperate so please delete that section or edit it suitably. SASSOTO (talk) 14:17, 5 August 2010 (UTC)

Speedy delete request of Ascend International School edit

I've removed your speedy request from this page as schools are specifically excluded from theA7 speedy delete criteria. A7 applies to an article about "an organization (e.g. band, club, company, etc., except schools)" (my emphasis). Please make sure you are aware of the full speedy delete criteria, not just the summary given in many automated programs, before speedy tagging any pages. Thank you. Reply edit

My intention was to revert the Forensic report news item, along with it that POV statement too got added. As it had happened for you to remove both, it happened so for me too unintentionally. Now for your first edit i can leave the same type of message in your talk page. But i don't want to do since it happened accidentally and you have reverted. Raja Prasanna Dev Raikut edit

I think we were cleaning up after the same user and edit conflicted on this article. I moved back the page while you were working on cutting its size, so now it's in two locations. Let me know which one is actually right and I'll fix the history so that it's GFDL compliant. cheers.—SpacemanSpiff 09:08, 23 August 2010 (UTC)

Communist Party of India (Maoist) funding edit

Hi Shovon76 -- regarding the use of abductions as a source of funding for the Maoists: neither of the sources cited actually state that they use abductions as a source of revenue. While theTime Magazine article does state they abduct tribals to intimidate and to coerce, it doesn't explicitly state that kidnappings occur to extract any ransom. The other source cited, from the CFR, mentions "kidnapping against Indian security personnel and vigilante groups" but also does not mention any exchange of money or goods. I thought the same as you, that the anon was removing cited material, but upon further inspection found the edit to be accurate. The claim either needs a further source or should be removed. Regards, RDavi404 (talk) 13:25, 26 August 2010 (UTC)

I have found a source in the same section. I will be adding it. Nevermind.--RDavi404 (talk) 13:33, 26 August 2010 (UTC)

Jana Gana Mana edit

With all due respect, I dont understand what do you mean by "Thats NOT an official name" ?? I am not sure which one you are talking about? I had edited "Orissa" to show Utkal (Odisha).
Utkal...because it is "way Our National Anthem" words it.
as for, Odisha...FYI, the name Orissa has already been changed as per an unanimous resolution passed by the State legistative Assembly in August 2008. 2 bills have been introduced in the Parliament for the same. --Rakesh Mishra 15:11, 27 August 2010 (UTC) —Precedingunsigned comment added by Gituli (talkcontribs)

Simply because it is yet to be declared officially. The bill will be coming up in the parliament next week. Please referthis. Until it is passed in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, the name would not be officially changed. Btw, there's a twist whether it is OdisHa or Odisa. Refer to the above mentioned article again. Thanks. Please stop. edit

Please stop writing on my talk page. If you have any issues, discuss on those article since i have all those in my watchlist and i'll be responding. There is nothing on my personal analysis in 2002 Gujarat .. article content. Most of it are taken from different sources. The source in Meccca Masjid article is not known. I have posted in the notice board. post your views thee.

DONT BE BIASED while editing in wikipedia and Please do not add commentary or your ownpersonal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Mecca Masjid bombing. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. Wasifwasif (talk) 14:54, 16 September 2010 (UTC)

Wasif, you are peddling your POV in Wiki and do I need to tell you which POV? If you don't stop your disruptive editing, very soon you will find yourself blocked. And, I'll always warn you when you indulge in edits against WP Policies. Shovon (talk) 15:09, 16 September 2010 (UTC)

License tagging for File:24x7 Learning Logo.png edit

Thanks for uploading File:24x7 Learning Logo.png. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message onWikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation.--ImageTaggingBot (talk) 13:06, 18 September 2010 (UTC)

While contributions are welcome, an article may be deleted if it is inconsistent with Wikipedia policies and guidelines for inclusion, explained in the deletion policy.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Nabaneeta Dev Sen until a consensus is reached, and you are welcome to contribute to the discussion.

Ayodhya debate edit

The article Ayodhya debate has been renamed to Ayodhya conflict by an editor without any reference or discussion. I must note here that Ayodhya dispute is clearly not an armed conflict like Kargil Conflict and neither the mainstream media or government refers to the Ayodhya dispute as conflict. Even the term Ayodhya conflict has never been used in the article itself. Could you revert the name of the article back to Ayodhya debate or dispute as I don't know the required procedure.--UplinkAnsh (talk) 08:25, 13 October 2010 (UTC)

Not vandalism. edit

If you had taken even a second to really look at the edit, and the edit summary, and my past edits, you would have realized that it is a typo, not vandalism, and not slapped me with an insulting template. But I suppose assuming good faith is beyond you.75.189.192.117 (talk) 12:26, 13 October 2010 (UTC)

CPI (maosit) edit

While I agree that different sentence may be used instead of "terrorism based ..." e.g. "They have been declared as a terrorist organization under xyz Act..." but I cant see how you can accuse me of Non-N-Pov. The references I provided (3 references actually) were quite clear on their being a terrorism based party. So please explain the basis of your accusation.

PS:I have seen your history and it seems you have an habit of throwing baseless accusation against people. Please understand that assumption of 'Good faith' is the glue that binds all wikipedians , so instead of disputing someone's neutrality at the drop of a hat try to Discuss matters with them.

Swift&silent (talk) 04:27, 25 October 2010 (UTC)

Read WP:NPOV first. Regardding AGF, I do assume good faith, but not with persistent POV pushers. Thanks. Shovon (talk) 08:25, 25 October 2010 (UTC)

You deleted my properly referenced edit and it is you who hasn't explained the problem with references and it is you who is making baseless accusations. I on the other hand simply made my point and wanted to discuss what exactly is the problem and reason for your revert but you wont listen. Also you called me "Persistent POV pusher" while I haven't Edited/Reverted even a Single Character since this discussion started. In my opinion it is YOU who is biased and POV pusher as YOU deleted perfectly valid referenced material without giving reason.

PS:You definitely need to read this. WP:CIVIL

PPS:Since I know you wont actually visit the Civility Page here is an excerpt.Consider it a free gift ;).

"Especially when things are getting heated, remember to explain your edit, avoid personal comments about any editors you have disputes with, and consider using the talk page to further explain your view of the situation."

Swift&silent (talk) 08:54, 25 October 2010 (UTC)

Wow! Great going. Nothing is going heated. But, if you call some organinization, "terrorism based organization", then IT IS definitely POV pushing. In Wikipedia, even Osama's article has to be given the due for BLP. Learn the rules first, before name calling. Thanks. Shovon(talk) 18:05, 25 October 2010 (UTC)
Things aren't getting heated 'cuz I am not replying in your way i.e. accusing others without basis.Just read your comments and the provoking way of your replies. You seem to have habit of getting in conflict with other wikipedia users.
Also, I would like to explain concept of POV to you since I doubt you fully understand it.If I had called an organisation 'terror based' without any basis or proof or when organisation is not declared as such by govt. then I would be biased/wrong and pushing POV.BUT Since the organisation in question has been declared as terror based by govt. and references were clear and valid it isn't Non-N-Pov. Please understand that calling an terror organisation an "terror organisation" is Not-N-Pov. If we had followed your logic then none of the terror organisations like Al-qaida will be labeled as terror based.

Examples- Wiki Al-Qaida First paragraph "Most of the world considers it a terrorist organization."

Lashkar-e-Taiba First para intro. sec. LeT is one of the largest and most active Islamist militant terrorist organizations in South Asia operating from Pakistan.

Jaish-e-Mohammed Intro section Jaish-e-Mohammed is viewed as the "deadliest" and "the principal terrorist organization in Jammu and Kashmir". The group is regarded as a terrorist organization by several countries, including India, United States and United Kingdom.

So perhaps you should go and find all the users who used word "Terror Org." and call them POV Pushers and if they try to reason with you or seek explanation call them "Constant POV Pushers". Who cares about good faith or what other people think.Right?

Kashmir conflict edit

Could you please look into these edits[5][6] (why is Arundhati Roy's opinion so damn important?), as well as these talk page posts by the editors in question:Talk:Kashmir_conflict#Highly_Biased? They seem biased and a violation of WP:UNDUE andWP:NPOV. WikiProject India Newsletter Volume V, Issue no. 2 - November 2010 edit

English WikiProject News

After a missed issue, the WP:IND newsletter is back on track to being a regular bimonthly feature. The Indian WikiProject has seen plenty of online and off-line action, both in English as well as other Indian languages, and we now have a bigger, better format that intends to feature content and news from the English as well as other Indian language Wikipedias.

Reaching out to Indians has been the theme of the Indian Wikiproject over the past couple of months, aiming to involve a greater number of Indians in editing both the English and Indian language Wikipedias. To this end, efforts to set up the Indian chapter of Wikimedia have moved into their final stages, and registration of the society is currently pending. An effort is underway to push for "WikiMarathons" at meetups, where attendees will be encouraged to edit the English and/or Indian language Wikipedias. This is intended to popularise Wikipedia editing among the general public. In addition, abot to post DYK's from the Indian Wikiproject to Twitter was created and launched byUser:Logicwiki.

What's New?

Regrettably, the number of Featured Articles has dropped from 63 in June to 58 at the end of October 2010. Several FAs came up for review and were delisted, while Fundamental Rights, Directive Principles and Fundamental Duties of India was saved. Meanwhile, Chalukya Dynastyappeared on the main page on July 9, 2010. Hearteningly, the number of Good Articles increased from 130 to 136 during the same period, while the number of Featured Lists remained constant at 16.

The source code for the Article Alert Bot is now available and the bot itself is expected to be up and running very shortly. This means that article alerts for the Indian Wikiproject will again be available, enabling editors to easily keep track of developments in respect of reviews, nominations, deletions etc.

The date change vandal mentioned briefly in the previous issue made a reappearance when the range block on his IP range expired in September. Consequently the block was extended till September 2011.

In October there was a heated [7] in the India project noticeboard regarding the copyright status of the Indian party symbols. The discussion was triggered by the deletion of Wiki San Roze's party symbol images by Hammersoft as copyright violations. No resolution was reached, partly because of our inability to explain to Hammersoft how election symbols in India differ from party logos. Comments are requested from anyone with a background in Indian copyright law to clarify this issue.

You are rolling back to wrong & outdated information edit

This is reply for your messages:

1] Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at List of top ULFA leaders, you may be blocked from editing. Shovon (talk) 16:28, 26 November 2010 (UTC)

My Appeal: While my change is made on Government Court's decision declared today at 11:25AM IST, by reverting back the same, you have kept Wikipedia outdated, nothing else. I made this update with honor, but I think you are forcing for outdated information only provided by one sided view.

2] Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Bijoy Das, you may be blocked from editing. Shovon (talk) 16:27, 26 November 2010 (UTC)

My Appeal: Who charged Terrorism on Bijoy Das? Not a single case is registered against him, then how come you can make Wikipedia with officially wrong information? I am sorry for some TAG delete, but those were un-knowingly. But I provided 2/3 proper information with update.

3] Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at List of top ULFA leaders, you may be blocked from editing. Shovon (talk) 16:28, 26 November 2010 (UTC)

My Appeal: For your kind information, in that page which you reverted back, you have included many fellows who do not exists in real world.\

4] Please do not add or change content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did to Sanjukta Mukti Fouj. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Shovon (talk) 16:24, 26 November 2010 (UTC)

My Appeal: Again the same non existing issue you have reverted back there. Nothing to say as new.

5] Welcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, including your edits to United Liberation Front of Asom, but we cannot accept original research. Original research also encompasses novel, unpublished syntheses of previously published material. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your information. Thank you. Shovon (talk) 16:23, 26 November 2010 (UTC)

My Appeal: Original research!! Who did that? Just have a look what I changed. The outfit's name is "United Liberation Front of Asom" not "...... Assam". You do have the page as http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Liberation_Front_of_Asom but you are reverting the correction.

In the section "Negotiations/talks", I provided new information. But you have deleted.

What do you mean by vandalism? Information with outdated & wrong source!! Or current updated information!!!

Being from this region, I do know least more about the reality than your so called "original research". People of the native knows an issue better, than a noted analyst sitting far away from the place.

And please stop your threatenings. By this you are forcing me out of the genuine method. If I had to do your so called vandalism, I could do it as anonymous. But I did the edit with my real name & identity. Try to understand the difference between genuine interest or your so-called vandalism. —Preceding unsigned comment added byDhrubajdeka (talkcontribs) 17:18, 26 November 2010 (UTC)

"The 2010 Deganga riots began on 6th September when an Islamist mob resorted to arson and violence on the Hindu localities of Deganga,...", "The passage to the area was being dug up by Muslims to prevent the Hindus from entering the area."
If you think that "The Islamist mob desecrated and vandalized Hindu temples, a characteristic feature of Islamism." belongs here, you should quit wikipedia and take to blogging. 14.139.128.14 (talk) 06:04, 30 December 2010 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: Морьтой жаал edit

Hello Shovon76. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Морьтой жаал, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Which is the other language article? Thank you. GedUK  14:51, 4 January 2011 (UTC)

Please don't accuse editors of vandalismunless you're sure they have committed it. In particular, avoid using the word in edit summaries (such as "reverting vandalism"), and be very careful about postingwarning templates on users' talkpages. Review the vandalism policythoroughly before you do that, and see especially the section "What vandalism is not". Note that content disputes are not vandalism, and that good-faith edits of any kind, even if you think them misguided, are not to be considered vandalism. Vandalism accusations without any basis in policy are bad for the climate on the wiki and make constructive discussion more difficult. See alsoWikipedia:Avoid the word "vandal".

STOP edit

Please stop lying as you did here[8], here[9], here[10], here[11], ... It will not go without consequences.

Learn the rules of Wikipedia first, then come back and try to contribute with a neutral point of view. And stop your personal attacks. Its not a request, but a warning. Shovon(talk) 07:41, 9 January 2011 (UTC)

2010 Deganga riots edit

I have semi-protected this page for one week as IP-hopping to make a point is definitely not acceptable. However, please continue to engage in discussions before making any large changes to this article, and please, please, please keep WP:CIVIL and WP:BITE in mind. There are a lot of issues with that article and if you can convince one of these editors to help fix it (which may or may not happen but it's worth a go!) that's definitely a boon. Remember, you can always use thedispute resolution process if you need a little help.PanydThe muffin is not subtle 19:42, 7 January 2011 (UTC)

Thanks. Sorry, if I got a bit carried away. But the problem with the IP user has been due to her/his intention of painting a totally incorrect picture of what happened at Deganga. It was an Islamist Mob, which attacked only Hindus, destroyed Hindu properties, desecrated Hindu temple and the violence was totally one sided. To say that "a mob attacked people and destroyed dozens of houses and a place of worship" would be giving a wrong picture to the readers. Also, these are substantiated by mainstream RS and as such, per my understanding, the tags are totally misplaced and only shows an intention of peddling a certain POV. I have not removed the tags or reverted the edits of the IP and would request you to take a look at the article and advise on the same. Thanks again. Shovon (talk) 08:29, 8 January 2011 (UTC)
If you have a problem with an anon marking your favourite version of an article, explain it. Don't try to intimidate by marking it POV pushing or vandalism and slapping warnings. If you believe the article is well sourced, show that; dont try to run away from the discussion as you did above. If you suffer from Pseudologia fantastica, seek professional help.14.139.128.15 (talk) 11:23, 8 January 2011 (UTC)
(talk page stalker) 14.139.128.15 - please remember that as aWikipedians, both you and Shovon76 are bound by the same code of conduct.--Shirt58 (talk) 11:35, 8 January 2011 (UTC)

I just jumped in to make sure that no one confuses me with Shovon76. If some editor or admin is suggesting that Shovon76 is IP hopping than that is wrong. I am a separate individual with no contacts with Shovon76 in real world. Also I must note the IP in question, for disruptive and tendentious, has now started to target multiple editors with personal attacks and User page vandalism on Shovon76's talk page by continuously reverting his edits on his own talk page which is against the guidelines of wikipedia.--UplinkAnsh (talk) 19:13, 8 January 2011 (UTC)

I don't think that anybody is suggesting me to be the IP hopping editor. In fact, it was upon my request for protecting the article, that Panyd semi-protected the article. Obviously, the IP editor is peddling his POV and any one not wearing a certain colored glasses would see that. Also, he lacks civility as well as needs a thorough training on the rules of Wikipedia.
