I was not finished yet and I accidentally clicked save changes -Llamaizfab (talk) 02:27, 5 October 2016 (UTC)

I, Llamaizfab, request the undeletion of this Articles for creation submission deleted under CSD A1. Please restore the page as I intend to work on it later. -Llamaizfab (talk) 02:33, 5 October 2016 (UTC)

Not done No content of any value. The page can easily be recreated if there's something worth putting there. (Note: the file name in the original request never existed; I amended the request based on the user's deleted contributions history.) —C.Fred (talk) 02:31, 5 October 2016 (UTC)

Also, the deletion was CSD A3, not G13. —C.Fred (talk) 02:31, 5 October 2016 (UTC)

Transport for the North

I work for Transport for the North and we are in the process of updating our wikipedia presence. However an administrator has removed us as we were in the process of updating the page. We own the copyright to the content, of which I have produced myself. We were in the process of referencing the source of information, but the page was deleted before we got chance to update this. Please can the page be reinstated / undeleted so the changes and full referencing can be undertaken. Many thanks -Rms1312 (talk) 20:33, 4 October 2016 (UTC)

@Rms1312: Sorry,   Not done. We absolutely will not restore copyrighted content. See the bottom of any page you edit: "you agree to the Terms of Use, and you irrevocably agree to release your contribution under the CC BY-SA 3.0 License and the GFDL." That is not possible for content for which you claim a copyright. Please see WP:CONSENT for information about donating content.
The Wikimedia Foundation has no permission to reproduce your copyrighted content, and such permission cannot be granted by a random user account who claims to own the copyright. If you want to reproduce the content, you need to go through the proper channels, contacting the Wikimedia Foundation from a verifiable email address belonging to your organization, or posting some proof on the organization's web site indicating the license or the OTRS ticket number created by your communication.
Furthermore, because you clearly have a conflict of interest, read the guideline Wikipedia:Conflict of interest and, after you clear up the copyright issue, submit your article through Wikipedia:Articles for creation instead of posting it directly into main article space. Thank you for your understanding. ~Amatulić (talk) 21:38, 4 October 2016 (UTC)

@Viva Nauru:   Please repair your request - we cannot process malformed requests. Did you see the section above? This is a common mistake by people new to Wikipedia seeking REFUND - they create two sections, one formatted correctly but with boilerplate rationale, and one malformed with a written-out rationale. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 17:55, 5 October 2016 (UTC)
No, I am an idiot. Anyway, that draft is heavily promotional and I am not comfortable at undeleting it. Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk, contributions) 18:13, 5 October 2016 (UTC)

  • This was deleted by RHaworth as U5: Blatant misuse of Wikipedia as a web host. I've pinged him here so he can see the request, but I am concerned about a few things:
  1. The first is that the content is written in a fairly casual manner. There are some WP:POV words like "unique" and the like, which makes the article seem a little promotional as well. To be honest, the article would have to receive substantial re-writes in order to meet WP:MOS and WP:NPOV.
  2. It looks to be almost completely unsourced, which is a big problem on Wikipedia when it comes to articles - especially those about people. You don't have any sources to show that Romanov would pass notability guidelines at this point in time. From what I can see, he was a background character in one film and put out a few songs, most of which were released this year. None of these things are the type of things that would automatically give notability on Wikipedia, as notability is WP:NOTINHERITED by Romanov being in a film or by him putting out music.
  3. Are you Romanov? If so, please understand that Wikipedia discourages people from writing their own biography. You will also need to read over WP:COI.
Overall I'm just concerned that even if this was restored to AfC or draftspace, that this person would not pass overall notability guidelines. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 03:46, 6 October 2016 (UTC)

I, WillLuckey, request the undeletion of this Articles for creation submission deleted under CSD G13. Please restore the page as I intend to work on it. WillLuckey (talk) 17:46, 5 October 2016 (UTC)

  •   Done - as an Articles for creation submission deleted under CSD G13, the page has been restored on request. Please edit the page to address the issues raised when it was declined, and re-submit it; "Articles for creation" is not for the indefinite hosting of material found to be unsuitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia. There were concerns that the article had some promotional tones, so you will need to fix this before resubmitting it. Offhand it doesn't look bad (otherwise I wouldn't have restored it), but there is some promotional PR speak here and there. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 03:49, 6 October 2016 (UTC)

  •   Not done The majority of the article is written in a pretty promotional manner, enough to where I can tell that you'd have to re-write the entire article in order to remove the promotional puffery. This might be an easier task to do from scratch than to use the source material. I also have to warn you - if you are part of this group or were otherwise asked to create this page, you must disclose your WP:COI. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 03:55, 6 October 2016 (UTC)

Which is? Martinevans123 (talk) 12:42, 6 October 2016 (UTC)
CSD G5--Anthony Bradbury"talk" 20:47, 6 October 2016 (UTC)
That says it can't be recovered? Martinevans123 (talk) 21:16, 6 October 2016 (UTC)
I am not going to undelete it. As I have already said, you are at liberty to re-write it, using your own wording. I do not think I have anything more to say on this topic.--Anthony Bradbury"talk" 22:16, 6 October 2016 (UTC)
Wow. Policy here is now crystal clear to us all, I'm sure. Thanks for all your help, Anthony. I must brush up on my Fletcher sometime. Martinevans123 (talk) 22:22, 6 October 2016 (UTC) p.s. except that, as i recall, the article was pretty much "in my own wording" when I left it.
Now that Anthony Bradbury has politely informed me, at his Talk Page, that "This conversation is now closed", might it be useful to amend the description of CSD G5 by adding the words "Articles deleted under this criterion cannot be restored." At least everyone would then knew where they stood and would not waste any time asking for a refund. Thanks. Martinevans123 (talk) 16:10, 7 October 2016 (UTC)

The question of G5 is one of the more contentious speedy deletion criteria. That said, the sockmaster in question is apparently known for hoaxing so it's probably better not to restore articles created by their socks and write the article anew instead. Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk, contributions) 16:52, 7 October 2016 (UTC)

Um, now I am quite confused, as you seem to be suggesting that the G5 policy is not quite as black and white as Anthony is making out? When the article was deleted, by the way, I had already checked all the sources and made stylistic copyedits to improve readability. You can easily find Bestetti on the internet for yourself, should you feel the need - 2,940 Google hits when I last looked. Martinevans123 (talk)
The policy statements are at WP:BANREVERT and WP:EVADE and you can find a mile of discussions on G5 in WT:CSD. Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk, contributions) 18:52, 7 October 2016 (UTC)
Thank you for the prompt and informative reply. A pleasant surprise. I think I'll probably avoid that particular mile, thanks. And I probably won't bother asking for such a refund ever again. Martinevans123 (talk) 19:39, 7 October 2016 (UTC)

File:Armada Music logo.svg

This image was upload by Fallschirmjäger as non-free back on October 10, 2010, but in late December 2015, I have converted it into the public domain, because I see first part of this logo is considered a simple geometric shape and seems therefore unlikely to be complex and dubious in terms of meeting the threshold of originality in my mind and therefore {{PD-textlogo}} and {{PD-shape}} would apply here (like c:File:Armada Music Logo.svg, which was transferred from the German Wikipedia to Commons) in my eyes. That is why the first part of this logo that is a simple geometric shape certainly does seem dubious in terms of meeting the threshold of originality. However, on January 3, this image was transferred to Wikimedia Commons as it was checked and is okay to move to Commons, but on later August 27, this obviously extremely predictably angers Dinosaur918 so much and resultes in him marking this image as a extremely obvious copyright violation, saying "i dont think the first part of the logo is a simple geometric shape", and few minutes later after the copyright violation tag has been added by him, Jcb deleted this image because "Copyright violation: i dont think the first part of the logo is a simple geometric shape", despite it is simple as only consists of simple geometric shape and text. But it seems highly unlikely to me that this is copyrightable, complex enough, not simple to be copyrighted, an extremely blatant copyright violation, that this does not only consists of simple geometric shapes and/or text or that there are creative elements on this logo (which I see are too simple to be copyrighted as it only consists of shapes and/or text), who have have mistakenly assumed anything (which I see are too simple to be copyrighted as it only consists of shapes and/or text) uploaded here he finds on Commons can be marked as a incredibly obvious copyright violation. And also, it seems highly unlikely to me that I certainly did upload copyvios or "file in violation of COM:L after warnings ans previous blocks" (such as attack files, stupid, offensive, blatant and/or rough things, file with a name that would be a violation of Commons' policies and guidelines, or reproductions of other inappropriate works, etc.) in that same day after Magog the Ogre (who extended the expiration time for an indefinite amount of time by changing the block settings, with no more any rights to do something to get unblocked, such as requesting unblock on the own talk page and using email to get unblocked in Wikimedia Commons) unblocked me on August 20th in Wikimedia Commons. I have only uploaded images, which are too simple to be copyrighted as it only consists of simple geometric shapes and/or text on August 20 and 21. And also, I have failed to see how much complex this logo is. The first part of this logo certainly is considered a simple geometric shape (like the image (which looks the same as this one, which was transferred from the English Wikipedia to Commons), which was transferred from the German Wikipedia to Commons). I think that this logo was submitted for copyright registration at the U.S. Copyright Office, appealed twice, and was denied all three times on grounds that there was not sufficient artistic creativity in the design.

Plus if you are the one who can restore deleted images on Commons, restore this image, because I have said about it per above. Thank you. XPanettaa (talk) 21:17, 8 October 2016 (UTC)

@XPanettaa: If it was deleted from Commons, you will have to request undeletion from there. This is the English Wikipedia, and most of the administrators here don't have administrator rights on Commons. ~Amatulić (talk) 01:32, 9 October 2016 (UTC)

Not done. It isn't shocking at all. Wikipedia isn't to be used as a platform for proselytizing or aggrandizement, and that was the purpose of that article. • These articles have all been deleted via AFD's, and some by multiple AFDs and speedy deletions. Rather than getting back a whole lot more future deletion fodder, how about you ask the deleting administrator to userfy them one at a time for you. Then once you have proved that one topic is notable, you can then move on the the next one and ask for it to be userfied. Is there any reason you think the AFDs did not come up with the right result? Adobe Camera Raw

Article was PRODed for not having any sources and duplicating contents elsewhere. Unless the article was junk, a probably more appropriate and constructive action would have been to either just add the missing references or replace it by a redirect to the other article (and possibly merge contents). This would not have broken existing links and have kept the edit history visible. I want to have a look myself now. -Matthiaspaul (talk) 10:22, 10 October 2016 (UTC)

Third country resettlement

The page has not been deleted but a significant part of it was made invisible to the public. This was because I made mistakes regarding the copyright and I have used too large proportions directly from the sources - which I now regret. However I would like to continue working on that page and improve it and amend the mistakes I previously made to make sure all content I added is not protected by copyrights. Maybe you can somehow give me a chance/option to work on the invisible content even outside of wikipedia in which ever way you think is most appropriate. I saved all my research direct on Wikipedia and did not make notes of sources outside wikipedia so to some extent I really need the invisible content that was still there at 17:28, 17 September 2016 - before it was made invisible one minute after. Many thanks Michtrich (talk) 18:24, 10 October 2016 (UTC) -Michtrich (talk) 18:24, 10 October 2016 (UTC)

@Michtrich: So, what exactly are you requesting? The article isn't deleted, it isn't even being proposed for deletion, your account is not blocked, and the copyrighted material won't be restored. There is nothing for an administrator to do here. Nothing prevents you from continuing to improve the article. Have at it. ~Amatulić (talk) 18:58, 10 October 2016 (UTC)
Seems like they want to have the content of the deleted revisions emailed. I am wary of doing this since a) there are links to the source of the copied material in the visible page history, which could be directly used instead and b) I'd like to have an assurance that there won't be any close paraphrase with any content provided. There's no need to email copyrighted content if that content is available elsewhere. ~Amatulić (talk) 19:02, 10 October 2016 (UTC)

Okay, but the thing is that I would also need the information for something I work on outside wikipedia. As I said it wasn't very clever from me not to save it somewhere else. Deletion was not uncontroversial. It is agreed that there are edits required to the deleted article but it would be preferable to update the deleted article rather than to author a fresh article -82.9.68.47 (talk) 23:54, 11 October 2016 (UTC)

Done - as a contested proposed deletion, the article has been restored on request.
However, there were WAY too many prod deletions in the history for me to feel comfortable maintaining it in main article space. So I moved it to Draft:Lucy Layton. Work on it in draft space, where it won't keep getting deleted repeatedly, and don't move it back to main space until it passes WP:GNG and WP:BLP. ~Amatulić (talk) 00:10, 12 October 2016 (UTC)

Page is being edited offline and will be completed asap.

  •   Not done There was nothing to restore, the content was simply "Ellis?". Philkirwin, I must warn you that any article you create must pass WP:NBIO or it will be deleted again. You can only accomplish this by showing where this person has received coverage in independent and reliable sources like newspaper articles. I must also warn you that if part of your intent is to write a tongue in cheek article, this would also run the risk of being deleted and would also likely be seen as vandalism. (I have to say that since the prior article's sole word gives off the impression that you might not be here to write a serious article. If you're here to write a funny article about someone you know, please be aware that this can be seen as vandalism.) Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 04:02, 12 October 2016 (UTC)

Louis Ziskin

Missed the PROD on this page, but unclear as to why it was deleted, as Ziskin has received coverage in reliable sources that are independent of him. -Gfl3459 (talk) 00:37, 12 October 2016 (UTC)

  • Looking at the sources in the article, it looks like this one is not a reliable source (looks to be a WP:SPS tabloid type blog) and these two links are the same source. Stuff like this is seen as one source regardless of where else it might be posted, so an article can be reposted in as many as 5-10 different places but would still be seen as one news article source. I've removed the blog source and the redundant link. The other four sources are good, but it looks like they predominantly focus on his legal issues. This is sort of a tricky area per WP:NCRIME so in order to show notability as far as this end goes you'd have to provide a lot of coverage. It looks like he was convicted in one case, so coverage for that crime would show notability, whereas the charges that were settled would likely not. Per WP:BLP, we can really only use coverage for crimes to establish notability if he's convicted or if long term coverage indicates that the charges were particularly landmark. The designation from Entrepreneur is good, but it's not really enough with the current coverage to give the article a really firm keep and if it was brought to AfD there's a chance it might be deleted, particularly since he's really only known for his drug related legal problems as far as the article goes. The best thing is to find additional coverage and add it to the article. I'll repost this on the article talk page as well so that there's a rationale there for the removal of sources.   Note: This page was deleted under speedy deletion criterion G11, indicating an page that was irredeemably promotional or blatant advertising. Note that G11 deletions are more an issue with the tone of the page as opposed to its sources or formatting. As articles deleted under G11 need to be rewritten from scratch, they will not be undeleted as-is here; try contacting the deleting administrator (Vanamonde93 (talk · contribs)). Alternatively, you may request the page be restored as a draft or to have the contents of its last known revision emailed to you provided you have email enabled in your account's preferences. "We"? Wikipedia does not permit shared accounts. And given your writing in this request, I seriously doubt you could write a neutral article. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 18:05, 13 October 2016 (UTC)
Not done I was the deleting administrator in this case as Jeremy has already pointed out. The article in question was blatantly promotional, and is absolutely not suitable for mainspace at this point. In addition, the banner at the top of this page tells you that articles deleted under WP:CSD#G11 should not be brought here. The only thing I am willing to consider is a move to the draftspace or userspace, where Bbadamkhand can work on it at their leisure: but I will only do this if they give an undertaking that they will read our policies on notability and conflict of interest first, and that they will not recreate the page without fixing it. David Alvarez

The Wikipedia page for Tony Award Winner David Alvarez was take down in 2012 for security reasons when he enlisted in the US Army. Now that David is out of the army and working on Broadway again he would like his Wikipedia Page to be reinstated. Please see the article below for reference of his being back on Broadway and out of the army. http://www.nytimes.com/2015/04/25/arts/dance/david-alvarez-on-billy-elliot-the-army-and-on-the-town.html?_r=0 -Snowtigr (talk) 23:42, 13 October 2016 (UTC)

Thank you,

Linda A. Epstein Manager for David Alvarez

Note: The page was deleted as a result of a deletion debate. Admins will not undelete pages that were deleted with discussion here; go to WP:Deletion review or contact the administrator that closed the deletion debate instead. The page was not "take down" [sic] over "security reasons", but because it was determined that his performance in Billy Elliot while he was a minor was not sufficient enough to justify an article, Tony or otherwise. That said, Alvarez' desire to have the page removed was a minor factor in the deletion. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 08:43, 14 October 2016 (UTC)
Does any one have a link to the AFD or the actual name of what was deleted? There is no deleted content under the name with or without diacritics. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 22:25, 14 October 2016 (UTC)

Gabriel Sava

This page about footballer Gabriel Sava was deleted in 2012 due to WP:PROD. I have been in touch with the deleting user (User:Fastily) who is no longer an admin and has directed me here. I feel the subject of the article meets WP:GNG as shown in [1], [2], [3], [4]. They are just an example of some of the articles relating to Sava showing coverage across a range of national and international media. Please could you restore the page in draft format to my user page and I will get working on it to touch it up and add sources etc. Many thanks! -IrishTennis (talk) 02:52, 15 October 2016 (UTC)

userfication requested by student - @Sandstein: A student in a class editing Wikipedia requested userfication and in response Sandstein deleted it and said, "Can be userfied on request (by an admin other than me; I don't do that." Family Home Entertainment

This page was redirected to Artisan Entertainment last month because someone stupidly decided that the company isn't notable, but it is notable because it was a big name for VHS and a lot of its VHS's are collected by buffs. Most of the reliable sources found for the article came from Google Books, mainly the Billboard magazines, so it barely has reliable news sources. But here are more sources: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Family_Home_Entertainment#More_references -187.113.203.102 (talk) 20:36, 15 October 2016 (UTC)
