CybrHome

CybrHome is one of the rising product company in India, the product is also popular in few European countries and US. It is the best tech product from NITK Surathkal after Practo. It helps people explore the internet/websites just like Pinterest helps people explore images. The product has no ads. It is also one of the few govt funded private organization in India. I am an avid CybrHome user and crowd-sourcing contributor on their platform and also a huge fan of their team and commitment. I had met them once personally during one event. The page was very well written with references and as far as I remember I had also made some edits, not sure. But there was no promotional content and was constantly being edited by various people for improvements. However, someone recently deleted the page completely without any notice or discussion. So, I request you to please read that page and restore it. If you want changes let me know and I can edit it before restoring but I believe people should really know about CybrHome. Thanks. Bonnevilla

Per the admin that deleted the page @Ixfd64:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Ixfd64 the page was deleted because the proposed deletion was unopposed, I was a victim of vandalism/harassment by an IP user, the one that proposed the deletion, he demanded more references but every time I would try to edit the page he would undo my edits, and started insulting me using profanity, the article had been reviewed and edited several times by different editors and admins, it needed a couple of more references, but the edition itself was clean, I would like the opportunity to continue working on the page and if possible investigate the IP user for miscondut , thank you very muchHerrkhor (talk) -Herrkhor (talk) 18:55, 26 October 2016 (UTC)

@Herrkhor:   Done - as a contested proposed deletion, the article has been restored on request.. The article may still be nominated at WP:Articles for deletion, which would start a discussion lasting seven days to which you would be welcome to contribute. If it is to be kept, you need much better references. Youtube, Facebook, and your own sites, do not count towards WP:Notability, and adding multiple references to them does not help at all. Clicking on some of the other links did not show me references to the band. For instance, putting "Bonnevilla" in the search box of your first reference, HipHopNation, produced "No hay resultados", and clicking on your PartyUtahAlbum and UndergroundHipHopBLOG references did not show any mention of Bonnevilla, either.
What is needed is references showing "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject." The link you provide should go straight to a page where Bonnevilla are being discussed in some depth. See WP:Notability (summary) for an explanation of what is needed, and WP:MUSICBIO. •   Done - as a contested proposed deletion, the article has been restored on request. User: Explicit was merely following the procedure at WP:Prod. There is a problem with writing about things close to you, in that you can be distressed by what others do to it. Also the article can come out quite biased and written in the wrong style. Charles Edward Parker

I see that this article was deleted some time ago. I have found several sources that indicate the importance of Parker and his architectural work. He was a prolific designer, and several of his works, including the Chicopee City Hall and the Evangelical Baptist Church and United Parish of Auburndale, both in Newton, have been placed on the National Register of Historic Places for architectural significance. As it was deleted under sd criteria A7, I request that it be userfied, as I believe that I can add valuable information to the subject. -JPRiley (talk) 23:06, 26 October 2016 (UTC)

Sady Doyle

The article on Sady Doyle was deleted in August 2016 with little or no debate, and the few words of discussion inaccurately assessed the subject's body of work. The delete discussion didn't accurately describe the volume of her writing, such as in the Guardian[1], but only noted her writing in the Atlantic[2]. Since the deletion, she also published a book[3] which has been reviewed in notable outlets[4][5]. Further, she was mentioned in the leaked Podesta emails as someone of importance to the Clinton campaign's messaging[6], and has been cited as a "prominent feminist."[7] -Grisamentum (talk) 21:50, 26 October 2016 (UTC)

  •   Not done - this Requests for Undeletion process is only for articles that were deleted uncontroversially, and does not apply to articles deleted after a deletion discussion. After you do so, if your concerns are not addressed and you still seek undeletion, a request may be made at deletion review. You could write a draft at Draft:Sady Doyle for consideration. References will need to have more than a two or three word statement about the subject to be counted as substantial though. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 22:14, 26 October 2016 (UTC)
  • I agree with Graeme Bartlett. The AfD was quite close to unanimous, so while I don't want to officially dissuade you from starting a deletion review, such a review would be unlikely to go anywhere. My advice to you would be to read WP:JOURNALIST to get a better idea of what we're looking for, and also WP:RS and WP:N for what kinds of sources we need. Then, write a new article, as suggested, at Draft:Sady Doyle. I can't promise it'll be accepted, but as long as you find good sources, there's no reason the AfD result can't change. -- RoySmith (talk) 23:29, 26 October 2016 (UTC)
  • I apologize because I'm new at this, but I'm still not clear on why this Undeletion process is inappropriate. WP:UND claims that this process is, among other things, for pages that were deleted after "deletion debates with little or no participation." Here, the nominator was echoed by three participants with no elaboration or further participation. There were two substantive participants, but both of them somehow missed the majority of the subject's work at The Guardian. I don't see how this rises above the level of "little participation." In any case, I suppose I could write a draft of a new article but I frankly don't have time. In any case, thanks for your attention.Grisamentum (talk) 00:13, 27 October 2016 (UTC)

Osplace, can you help here? I do not see a reference to another template or to a related discussion when I follow that link. I searched for the word "template" on that talk page and could not find a related discussion. I will post a request for help at the project's talk page.
The criteria for WP:T3 say "Templates that are substantial duplications of another template, or hardcoded instances of another template", but without knowing what the recommended other template was, it is not possible to reconstruct the articles and templates that used the deleted templates. I suggest that the templates should be restored, and then the original nominator should take them to TfD with a recommendation to subst or convert them to a replacement template. – Jonesey95 (talk) 20:59, 23 October 2016 (UTC)
When you follow the link, you fill find our "Previous club squads" discussion. This is the way we have been presenting the squads for volleyball international tournaments and club competitions. Mmhuang (talk · contribs) found that the basketball rosters they use and made a copy for volleyball, as a result, that user created all those templates. Since the first goal of WP Volleyball is Standardize the appearance and layout of volleyball related articles we asked him to join our discussion, but that user just made fun of us and never replied in our discussion. After several notes in his talk page, we proceed to T3, because all those templates together pretended to do the same we have been doing way simpler and consistently. He implemented that template, but we were only aware in time for the 2016 FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship squads, but Dongmin1994 (talk · contribs) change it to the agreed uniform one. With all those red links we should roll back the affected articles. We tried to warn Mmhuang when he had only edited two articles, but he soon spread the template to all the Filipino volleyball articles without ever replying a single message in our discussion. Please do not restore anything. Thank you. --Osplace 17:11, 24 October 2016 (UTC)
Comment left inside the Filipino-only changed rosters: Using system used by the PBA: flag = country of birth place. this is the system used to classify filipino foreigners. If we'd go to the principle of they are all Filipinos, let's just remove the flag column. PBA stands for Philippine Basketball Association. Take note all the affected articles were only edited and included with that template by the same user. --Osplace 17:19, 24 October 2016 (UTC)
So it sounds like you are proposing to visit every article and template listed in Special:WhatLinksHere/Template:PlayerVB1, for example, and roll back each of those articles and templates to a version that does not use a deleted template. If so, that works for me, and let me know if you need help. I suggest that if there is a next time, those reverts should be done before the deletion of the templates so that we don't break live versions of Wikipedia articles that now look like this. I sympathize with your situation of having an editor who will not participate in a good-faith discussion, but our obligation to our readers is to deliver them articles that are reasonable in appearance. Thanks for coming here to respond. – Jonesey95 (talk) 01:43, 25 October 2016 (UTC)
Yes, that is my proposal and yes I am willing to help editing every article that need attention. --Osplace 03:04, 26 October 2016 (UTC)
Great. I recommend starting with Special:WhatLinksHere/Template:PlayerVB1 and fixing the templates in that list. Fixing the templates will fix most or all of the articles, which you should be able to WP:PURGE to remove red links. Thanks. – Jonesey95 (talk) 04:36, 26 October 2016 (UTC)

Draft:Map Grid of Australia 1994

Page was deleted because it was more than 6 months since I added to it -AnthonyDunk (talk) 05:47, 27 October 2016 (UTC)

@AnthonyDunk:   Done - as an Articles for creation submission deleted under CSD G13, the page has been restored on request. Please note that you never submitted the entry for review. When you are ready, you need to click the colored button in the template at the top of the page that says "Submit your draft for review!" JohnCD (talk) 17:46, 27 October 2016 (UTC)

I was advised by User Talk:Explicit that my page was deleted by another editor though the details are not visible and secondly the request had remained uncontested for seven days, which resulted in deletion. I wasn't aware. He has said that since it was deleted through a process which is considered 'uncontroversial', I'm allowed to simply request the page to be restored -XavierWest111 (talk) 09:42, 27 October 2016 (UTC)

@XavierWest111:   Done - as a contested proposed deletion, the article has been restored on request. I will notify user Duffbeerforme (talk), who proposed it, and who may choose to nominate it at WP:Articles for deletion, which would start a debate lasting seven days to which you would be welcome to contribute. Please understand that you are strongly advised against editing your own page (see WP:Autobiography), but are welcome to make suggestions on the article talk page if there are inaccuracies that should be corrected. Sajid Ishaq

Dear Concern, I have created page Sajid Ishaq who is very well known personality, you may google him, I have many reference links but I am new on Wiki so I have no idea how to verify the information, Please help in this regard and do not delete the page -115.186.129.71 (talk) 05:06, 27 October 2016 (UTC)

Although this was actually deleted at AfD, you are not actually showing us why, how and where you would improve it if restored, therefore there's not a lot to show for the meaningful improvements this would need. Let me note that we would need actual in-depth third-party news, and no press releases, interviews or trivial passing mentions. You are also not stating how the nomination's comments of "advertising: "He is playing an essential role in creating...", "He holds strong reputation in", "his experience and expertise in the field" etc" which also affects the article overall. SwisterTwister talk 18:27, 27 October 2016 (UTC)
@Zeeshansamikhan: the AfD close was explicitly WP:SOFTDELETE, allowing for restoration on request. A subsequent speedy deletion included WP:CSD#A7 no credible indication of significance or importance, and if restored to the mainspace it might well be speedy-deleted again for that reason. So I have restored it to Draft:Sajid Ishaq where you can work on it. What is required to establish Wikipedia:Notability is references that show "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject." Your first reference gives a two-line quote from him; the second has one line announcing an appointment as assistant and, as far as I can see, no other text. Neither of those is significant coverage. See WP:Notability (summary) for more explanation of what that means. JohnCD (talk) 22:02, 27 October 2016 (UTC)

Peter Khalife

I, Peterkhalife29, request the undeletion of this Articles for creation submission deleted under CSD G13. Please restore the page as I intend to work on it. I have time to edit the page and its important since Peter Khalife achieved new things and he needs to update it on his page -Peterkhalife29 (talk) 20:45, 27 October 2016 (UTC)

@Peterkhalife29:   Done - as an Articles for creation submission deleted under CSD G13, the page has been restored on request. Please edit the page to address the issues raised when it was declined, and re-submit it; "Articles for creation" is not for the indefinite hosting of material found to be unsuitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia.
Please understand that Wikipedia is not a social-networking site for people to write about themselves - see Wikipedia:Autobiography. If an article is accepted, it will not be your page, it will be Wikipedia's page about you. Note also that you must not copy text from external sources, that you require references to reliable published sources to verify what you say, and that you should preserve a neutral and factual tone and avoid "puffery" like "known for his speed and very high fighting spirit." Draft:Penington Institute (2nd request)

The page was deleted before it was approved. There is new information that will be submitted for approval. -103.253.92.96 (talk) 22:45, 27 October 2016 (UTC)

Not done and will not be done The article wasn't deleted because it lacked material. It was deleted because (1) it was an advertisement, with grandiose unsubstantiated unsourced phrases like "grown out of the rich and vibrant work" and (2) it copied material directly from another website. Not only that, it was created again after deletion with the same exact issues (and just deleted again). If it is created once again in that state, it will be protected from ever being re-created. I suggest you start over from scratch, without copying text from other sources, and without the promotional language. ~Amatulić (talk) 00:13, 28 October 2016 (UTC)

It appears that one of the references I used when creating this page was a 'copyright infringement' I will modify it to comply to Wiki policies as soon as I am able to access the content of the page. Please restore this page. Thank you! -Theptf (talk) 13:48, 28 October 2016 (UTC)

@Theptf: it's not that the reference was a copyvio, but the text of the article was copied from the source. I can't check that, because the source website is currently a deadlink, but we cannot restore copyright violations. Instead, I have emailed you a copy of the text. Please check out WP:Copying text from other sources and WP:Close paraphrasing, and rewrite it in your own words. JohnCD (talk) 14:23, 28 October 2016 (UTC)

Article was deleted under a PROD which I was not aware of and object to. I was notified of the deletion by someone who was able to get in touch with me that was looking up the information. The page was rated a B grade and already past the various tests years ago. I do not understand why someone flagged it now for deletion when it has already passed the appropriate tests to be included in this volume of valuable data. -C. Collins Archie-Pearce

Article submitted for Collins Archie-Pearce to be reviewed by Wikipedia administrator for publishing, but was declined and nominated for deletion by Coren stating that the article appears to include material copied directly from a website address http//archiepearceproduction.com. That website is my website and I own the copyright to the previously published contents. I ask for a review of my article which has been revamped. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ellengyampoh100 (talkcontribs) 16:48, 28 October 2016 (UTC)

@Ellengyampoh100:   Not done. On the talk page of the deleted article, user Collinsp19 (talk · contribs) wrote "Archie-Pearce Production Ltd is my website and I am the sole owner of the website". Are you the same person as Collinsp19? If so, please choose one account and use only that one, to avoid suspicion of "sockpuppetry".
Copyright material cannot be used simply on the basis that someone on the end of a wire says that they are the owner. It is necessary for the actual copyright owner to make a formal copyright release, as described at WP:Donating copyrighted materials.
In any case, simply copying someone's own promotional material does not make a satisfactory encyclopedia article. That website is Mr Pearce telling the world about himself, but writing about oneself on Wikipedia is strongly discouraged. Please read Wikipedia:Autobiography.
A Wikipedia article requires references showing "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject". That is for two reasons: to establish that the subject meets Wikipedia's inclusion test, called Wikipedia:Notability, and to provide sources from which an article can be written which is an outside view, not just the subject's story about himself.
It is clear that you either are Mr Archie-Pearce or are closely associated with him. That gives you a WP:Conflict of interest which means that you should not edit about him directly. I suggest that you read Wikipedia:Your first article and then use WP:Articles for creation to make a draft for review by an uninvolved user. If you want to use material from his website, you will need to make a copyright release, but it may well be better to write in your own words, avoiding promotional language: no opinions, just plain facts about what he has achieved, cited to reliable sources. Draft:Moshe Menasheof

Added many links confirming most of the facts written in the article, including the writer's credentials in the National Library of Israel and other sources -Lilachk (talk) 20:31, 28 October 2016 (UTC)

  • This page is not deleted, so it does not need to be restored. Do you want an WP:AFC review? We can insert it for review. But expect it to be declined. At this point in time you will need at least one more independent reference to show notability. You have the Eli Eshed reference which is good, but all the others are connected to the subject, (or are exhaustive lists like the library that don't prove notability). Graeme Bartlett (talk) 21:18, 28 October 2016 (UTC)
My intention was if someone could move it back from draft to the article section. I added a few more articles from sources not connected to the subject (and I can add more). Is that enough? Lilachk (talk) 21:46, 28 October 2016 (UTC)
I added it for AFC review. In a few weeks someone will take a look at it, hopefully someone that can read the Hebrew references, to see if they are reliable, and not just quotes of the book cover. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 00:04, 29 October 2016 (UTC)

Yacht Ragtime

Enter your reasoning here and then click the "Save page" button below -104.33.67.228 (talk) 09:26, 29 October 2016 (UTC)

The racing sail boat RAGTIME has previously been listed on Wikipedia. Recently the page has been delated. As owner of this vessel from 1973 -1981 I can confirm that the previous description was correct. I have recently prepared to add to wikipedia page and find that the page no longer exists. Yacht Ragtime was built in New Zealand and came to United states about 1970. the boat was considered radical at the time because it was a 62 foot light displacement boat. Ragtime was the First to finish winner in the 2225 mile Transpac Yacht Race in 1973 and 1975. Ragtime raced out of Long Beach California in the 1970's Numerous pictures of Ragtme with sail race number 7960 can be found on Google Photos.

I respectfully request that YACHT RAGTIME be undeleted and placed back on Wikipedia. William White Co Owner Ragtime 1973-1981.

  • Hi William. We cannot restore this because it was a copyright infringement. However I have written a new page for you at Ragtime (yacht). If you can write about the physical characteristics using some reliable sources, but without copying word for word that would be good. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 12:28, 29 October 2016 (UTC)

No reasoning given. -Lostboy347 (talk) 13:34, 29 October 2016 (UTC)|2= Just received more credible information on the individual to add for referencing. He's just been signed to Fear Front Publishing and will be a published author before Christmas.

Not done. It looks like this article would be a WP:BLP violation if restored. Unsourced content about living people is not allowed. The deleting admin User:Spinningspark noted "This may be an attack piece." If reliable sources about this man (such as a book) are eventually published, you should reapply then. The subject of the article was listed for speedy deletion, and deleted while I was in the middle of adding sources. The subject is relatively notable since her article is being discussed in all the main Israeli newspapers, including by Israeli parliamentarians, a former leader of the opposition, and by the owner of Haaretz, Israel's oldest newspaper. The former leader of the opposition says her article has opened a new national debate. Thanks! -Avaya1 (talk) 16:16, 29 October 2016 (UTC)

Avaya1 At best, I will note there's still not enough for fully convincing actual notability, so please still add all additional in-depth third-party news sources overall, but please no interviews, trivial passing mentions or other triviality. As for the award, that one will not convince notability since it's simply a local state award. SwisterTwister talk 23:38, 29 October 2016 (UTC)
