Amanda Seales

Original page apparently was removed because of lack of notability and uncontested - there are numerous sources with regards to the subject, and notability of subject may have become more pronounced within the last year, since previous deletion. I was going to create a page for this subject but then I saw a previous page existed, but I'm not privy to the actual content of that page and would like to reinstate that article and write it out with new content as needed. -Santagati (talk) 09:13, 8 November 2016 (UTC)

It looks as though you will be basically starting from scratch and building on your sources, though you may find something useful in its long history: it was started in 2008, and in 2012 it was built up, apparently by the subject herself, into over 15kb of autobiographical puffery; then the unsourced and spammy bits were cut back until practically nothing remained. Very notable musician, a pioneer in a genre. Unfortunately, the article was created by a banned user which was the only reason for its deletion yet I believe that's not a wise reason to delete it. - - John Dane Benelli (talk) 10:27, 8 November 2016 (UTC)

Dj Kanji was deleted as A7 (no significance first) and then G7 (blanked by author), but this will specifically need to focus with independent in-depth third-party news about him, and not press releases, trivial passing mentions or interviews. The Obijackson Group is a notable company based in Nigeria. It is a major player in the country's oil industry and engages in a number philanthropic activities. Advertising is quite rarely ever restored simply because it's not what Wikipedia publishes, therefore simply because it's supposedly a known company in Nigeria is not an automatic inheritance of notability here; for a company, an article needs actual in-depth third-party news, but absolutely no PR or anything published by the company itself. The image was given to my mother by Humbert Wolfe's daughter (Ann Wolfe - now deceased) and then to me. It is out of copyright and Humbert's daughter would want it to be put on wikipedia.

  Not done. The image was tagged as {{PD-old}}, which requires that 100 years have passed since the photographer's death. Are you confident that this is the case? If it is not the case, then the claim in the image page that "Anthony Padgett allows the photograph to be used publicly and royalty free" needs to be established by legitimate means, not by a random unidentifiable user stating it on the image page.   • I think that they're Krimuk90 evading a block, considering that they're asking for his stuff back and they're trying to mess around with Renamed user henga2423's information again - something that Krimuk90 did as well. I'm going to ping NeilN so he can be aware of this, but I'll go block Social Network for block evasion. Even if this is a friend, it's still block evasion in some form of fashion.   • It's a bit of a tricky situation - apparently the original Krimuk90 changed usernames at some point in the past and a vandal usurped the old username and used it to cause mischief. I've changed the block from a sockpuppet to something else since it seems like they might be trying to make the original Krimuk90 look bad through stuff like this. Copy paste violations and advertising are never restored so this will not happen. Also, there was also no means of significance; simply because you work as a volunteer is not automatically making it acceptable; and if it's notable, it would need actual in-depth third-party news sources overall, and nothing the group authored or published itself. We don't host unsuitable content indefinitely, so I hope you understand the reluctance to restore this draft yet again. Also, noting with this, note that Wikipedia is not a business listing so simply adding "business information and 20 years history" is not what automatically gets an article expected; instead, it needs actual in-depth third-party news, and no press releases, trivial passing mentions, interviews or news about their own activities, funding, partnerships or financing. Then you will have time to work on it without worrying about it being deleted quickly. Main space articles should have a semblance of completeness. The article conforms to Wikipedia's core policies: NPOV , V and NOR. Regarding the 4th policy of notability, within Wikipedia notability is an inclusion criterion based on the encyclopedic suitability of an article topic. As such, if someone wishes to access background information on an "Andre Julian" that they had just seen on television, it is perfectly reasonable that honest and factual information be available for that person on Wiki. Also, to note, simply because he may an important businessman in his career and field is not an automatic acceptance here, and the article itself was still deleted because of existing advertising concerns and the comments there concurred with it, therefore there was consensus to delete. "if someone wishes to access background information on an "Andre Julian after they saw him on TV", we're not IMDb so we're not a profile listing for every single person, regardless of. I believe this person is notable, and before i write a new article, i would like to inspect the one that was deleted before writing a new one. This is the husband of Miriam deFord, and wrote 33 of the Little Blue Books. There is more info here and here. If possible, please restore it to User:Generic hipster/Maynard Shipley so that i may work on it there. 2016–17 Star Hotshots season

I suppose the deleting of this page was a mistake. It was deleted for it was a "hoax", but actually it is not. It is the season's page of the team Star Hotshots. There was this Fredmak2016 (talk · contribs), who keeps vandalizing pages related to Star Hotshots, like the Template:Star Hotshots roster. So I think the admin made a mistake in deleting the page for reverting the edits and protecting the page is enough. -Babymissfortune 03:44, 14 November 2016 (UTC)

This was deleted because of having no actual claims of significance thus it would not benefit from restoring, also the links you've listed above are literally self-interviews and indie blogs interviewing her, none of that is what's needed for an acceptable article, so unless that's the best available, it would surely be deleted for both having no significance once again and also advertising. First @LargeArtCompany: I will suggest that you ask for a new username at WP:CHU. User names must represent an individual, not a company. Secondly user names must not be shared by more than one person. Thirdly the submission was like an advertisement. So a page will have to be rewritten from scratch, even if notability can be shown. Bernie or Bust

Several users have argued over at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Never Hillary about the Bernie or Bust campaign being more significant than the Never Hillary movement, and therefore deserving its own stand-alone article. The article has been deleted (merged) relatively early in the election cycle (August 1). Since then, the Bernie or Bust movement has received significant coverage and has been accredited with contributing to Clinton's loss in the general election ([5][6][7]). So this is worth a revisit. As it stands, the Bernie or Bust movement is virtually non-existent on Wikipedia and is not even mentioned in the article it is currently redirected to. It seems like there's larger systemic issues here at play. A sort of Damnatio memoriae, if you will. -Étienne Dolet (talk) 05:13, 16 November 2016 (UTC)

  • It looks like there was an AfD for this back in August, where it received a non-admin close from Dane2007. I think that the main thing you'll have to show right now is how the coverage for this campaign received more coverage after August and how the article could be expanded from this version. I'd recommend working on a version in your userspace first before trying to restore the article, as having a good final product is usually the best way to argue against past AfDs, especially since there's a similar AfD currently in place for the Never Hillary campaign.   • As Tokyogirl79 said, significant, third party reliable sources need to show improved coverage and notability past the August AfD date. You said there is no mention of "Bernie or Bust" in the article it is redirected to, however it is mentioned in the Campaign section of that article. Alright, Tokyogirl79 and Dane2007. I did work on it a bit (here). It's a work in progress. Obviously, I can't do everything on my own, so I'm hoping when the article is restored, there can be more users who can work collaboratively in making it better. So I think it's worth another shot. I also don't mind if it immediately heads to another AfD. Lots of things have changed since August 1, and the Wikipedia community should be able to reassess the article at least one more time since that date. A new version of this page, located here, was recently rejected because the deleted version was not available for comparison. The editor requested access to the deleted page. The content has changed significantly since the original page was deleted, and I would like to re-submit the new draft. The new article has citations from several news outlets on the company's history, funding, and research publications. Why? And how is it 'your' page? The page belonged to Krimuk90, it was apparently created by someone else, and we have no way of knowing that the IP address 117.197.139.51 requesting is either person. Furthermore, the page consists of nothing but personal opinions about movies, and isn't related to the Wikipedia project.
