Speedy deletion nomination of User:EzraRomanov

A tag has been placed on User:EzraRomanov requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. Contested deletion

This page should not be speedily deleted because... (your reason here) --EzraRomanov (talk) 17:39, 26 September 2016 (UTC) This is a celebrity not on Wiki yet, and needs to be. He is a singer, you can see more at his facebook www.facebook.com/EzraRomanovReply

Wikipedia is not a place to advertise or promote someone, and nobody "needs" to be on Wikipedia. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 03:27, 6 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

It wasnt here to "advertise" him in any way, it was here to give information about him, Wiki is a place of information. There are many other actors and singers just like him, so if he cant be on here then they shouldnt either.

Wrong. See WP:Notability and WP:Notability (people), which are the criteria a person needs to satisfy in order to have a Wikipedia article. I would also suggest you read WP:Conflict of interest and WP:Autobiography, the latter assuming you're Romanov. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 06:54, 6 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

I am not romanov, I am his manager, he is a pretty well known artist. As well verified on a few different social media sites, over 139k followers, hes an actor and singer. Verification only comes to those who are indeed known enough to be considered a public figure or celebrity.

If you are not Romanov, you will need to change your name per the Username policy. If you are his manager, you will need to review the conflict of interest policy; lastly, as his manager(for which I assume he pays you) you are required by Wikipedia's Terms of Use to comply with the paid editing policy. 331dot (talk) 09:17, 6 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
Please visit this page for instructions on changing your name. 331dot (talk) 09:17, 6 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
Further, merely giving information is a form of promotion; Wikipedia articles must do more. 331dot (talk) 09:19, 6 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

I will be handing this over to Ezra to be his, i was getting this ready for him. If you wont allow this person to be on here even though he is considered a celebrity, then what steps do you require for it to happen as this is a necessary step for other things he is doing.

Please do not "hand this over" to anyone else; the sharing of usernames is not permitted and you would be blocked for doing so. If Mr. Romanov wants an account, he needs to create it himself(which is another reason for you to change your username).
As I state above, you need to review conflict of interest. You (or him) should not be directly editing about Mr. Romanov. If you have reviewed the notability criteria for musicians and can show with independent reliable sources how Mr. Romanov meets at least one of the criteria, you should visit Articles for Creation to indirectly create an article. That's the only way you will be permitted to see an article created about Mr. Romanov; this is not social media that he "needs" to be on. 331dot (talk) 09:35, 6 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

My name is Ezra Romanov, my account was hacked over a year ago. I am requesting that my account gets unblocked please.

Decline reason:

As you have indicated your account was compromised, it is no longer eligible for unblock consideration as per WP:COMPROMISED. Yamla (talk) 21:55, 10 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

You indicate that you are not Ezra Romanov, so that the account name is misleading, which is against Wikipedia's username policy. As you know, you were given the option of requesting a change of username, but chose not to take that up. Also, your statement that you would "be handing this over to Ezra to be his" appeared to mean that you intended the account used by more than one person, which is again contrary to Wikipedia policy. For those reasons, the account has been blocked from editing. You are free to create a new account, for use only by yourself, and so is Ezra Romanov. However, if either or both of you does so, you really need to take note of the conflict of interest guidelines, the paid editing policy, and the policy against promotional editing, all of which are linked above. And please note, you said above "This is an artist that should be shown", which, together with other things you have said, indicates clearly that your intention is to use Wikipedia to increase Ezra Romanov's public visibility, i.e. for promotional purposes. Sorry I had to sleep, I have not had time to change anything yet.

You can request to be unblocked by copying the following text below this post: {{unblock | reason=your reason here ~~~~}} and filling in the appropriate information. To request a change in username at the same time, use {{unblock-un | user=new username | reason=your reason here}}. The admin who ends up reviewing your request will likely want to make sure that you understand what you have been told on this page, especially about conflict of interest, paid editing, and the username policy. 331dot (talk) 22:53, 6 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Requested username:

Request reason:

So i can create posts acordingly Because I am his manager and not the official musician

Decline reason:

Per below - this appears to be a 'role'. You can use many other sorts of name - you could use 'Henry LVIX', or 'Tenny the Fronk', or 'AardvarkJack', or follow the suggestion below, or make something else up. Don't worry about choosing an 'odd' name as we have an administrator called 'Boing! said Zebedee' and it hasn't hindered his career here. Peridon (talk) 17:44, 8 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
I've consolidated your requests, you only need one at a time. The new username you have chosen is not an improvement, as it is the name of your job; presumably someone else could be his manager or management after you. Your username must indicate only you will use it.
The admin who will review your request will want to know what sorts of contributions you will make to Wikipedia if you are unblocked, since it is unlikely you will be unblocked if you only want to edit about Mr. Romanov. They will also want to know that you understand the policies you were informed of on this page. 331dot (talk) 08:56, 7 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
  • Wikipedia's username policy says "Usernames that are names of posts within organizations, such as "Secretary of the XY Foundation", are not permitted, as such a post may be held by different persons at different times." I think the username you have suggested falls under that restriction. However, something like "John Smith at EzraRomanovMGMT", which shows that the account is for a specific person, would be OK. If you changed the suggested username so that it appears to be attached to an individual person, rather than a role or job, I would be willing to unblock you. (However, no matter what username you use, you should be aware of Wikipedia's conflict of interest guidelines, and promotional editing of any sort is not allowed.)
