CHEWDARA moved to draftspace edit

An article you recently created, CHEWDARA, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Wikipedia and copyright edit

Hello Ttttt321! Your additions to Draft:Chewdara have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. DanCherek (talk) 20:24, 26 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Chewdara-B edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Chewdara-B requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help or reference desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. August 2021 edit

This is your only warning; if you remove or blank page contents or templates from Wikipedia again, as you did at Chewdara, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. I have seen you are adding places to Wikipedia. That sounds good, but please add them in an encyclopedic tone. You are not writing a travel guide. I invited you to a tea house where various Wikipedians are available to assist you. If you face any problems, you can add a request there. I have placed some tags on the Chewdara article. Please don't remove them without addressing them. As I have seen, you have removed the short description, which is important there. Do not remove or add anything without any reason. Please define the reason in the summary box so that other Wikipedians can understand why you removed or added something.   Thank you.The Chunky urf Al Kashmiri (Speak🗣️ or Write✍️) 19:33, 3 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

I noticed your recent edit to Syed Ali Alaa Ud Din (Khansahib) Bukhari does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing →   Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. It's unclear why you removed the redirect and replaced it with {{Moved discussion to}}, but that template is intended to be used on Talk pages. There are incoming links pointing to the old title, so this page should remain to direct readers to the correct location. Ost (talk) 20:42, 26 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

Potential conflict of interest? edit

Hello Ttttt321!   I see that you've uploaded File:Syed Ali Alaa Ud Din (Khansahib) Bukhari.jpg, qualifying it as "own work". This is the same image as the one featured on the commercial website about Khansahib Bukhari's shrine. Are you the creator of that website? If so, then you would have a conflict of interest (COI). It is strongly discouraged to edit on topics where you have a COI, but if you do, there are some rules. Please read Wikipedia:Conflict of interest, especially the section on how to disclose a COI. hii, can you tell me why it has been deleted, if i added reliable citations in it? Ttttt321 (talk). 17:35, 21 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
Hello Ttttt321! I moved this discussion from my talk page to yours, because it is easier for the multiple editors whom you've contacted about this to discuss it here.
The article has been deleted because the sources you added to it were not reliable. Please read Wikipedia:Reliable sources very carefully.
I think that on the whole, editing Wikipedia may be not something for you. As an encyclopedia, we have certain standards, and these may just be too difficult for you to adhere to. If that is the case, most of your work will be deleted, which would very unfortunate given the time you spend on it. Thanks, ☿ Apaugasma (talk ) 18:09, 21 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

https://epaper.kashmirthunder.com/epaper/edition/1004/epaper-11-09-2021%09/page/8
The way to put that citation into a citation template is as follows:
  • "Research Oriented Comprehensive List of Hanafi Sufi Shrines Compiled District Wise by Kashmir Society International & Jamaat Aitqaad Hanafiya International". Kashmir Thunder. 11 September 2011. p. 8.
  • {{cite news |url=https://epaper.kashmirthunder.com/epaper/edition/1004/epaper-11-09-2021%09/page/8 |title=Research Oriented Comprehensive List of Hanafi Sufi Shrines Compiled District Wise by Kashmir Society International & Jamaat Aitqaad Hanafiya International |work=Kashmir Thunder |date=11 September 2011 |page=8}}
You will see that the citation template has:
  • |url= the url
  • |title= the name of the title of the article
  • |work= the name of the newspaper - if there were a Wikipedia article on that newspaper, you would wikilink to it in the template, for example The Hindu
  • |date= the date of publication of the article
  • |page= the page in the newspaper that the article appeared on (this is particularly useful for books)
A citation to that newspaper article would support a statement saying that there was a Hanafi Sufi shrine to Shiekh Noor Din Wali in Char-i-Sherief in Budgam district.-- Toddy1 (talk) 08:23, 22 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
On page 8, S.NO.17, there is the name of syed ali alaa ud din khanshib... Ttttt321 (talk). 12:35, 22 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
And that supports a statement that there is a Hanafi Sufi shrine to Syed Alio ud Din Khan Sahab in Budgam district. It does not say where in the district. It does not support any statements about the person.-- Toddy1 (talk) 13:12, 22 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
ok Ttttt321 (talk). 13:30, 22 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

@Ttttt321: Toddy1 is right: the only statement that could be based on that source is something like "There is a Hanafi Sufi shrine in the Budgam district dedicated to Syed Alio ud Din Khan Sahab Ra". But we can't have one-sentence articles like that. This is why we demand there is significant coverage for a subject to be notable. Your source qualifies on two important criteria: it is reliable and independent. But it fails the third one: it does not treat the topic in enough detail. Please read our general notability guideline, on the basis of which we decide to keep or delete articles. Thanks, ☿ Apaugasma (talk ) 13:37, 22 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

Essentially the draft article fails to satisfy the requirements of WP:NATHLETE. Speedy deletion nomination of Nazir Josh edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Nazir Josh requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". Ways to improve Baba Haneef Ud Din Reshi edit

Hello, Ttttt321,

Thank you for creating Baba Haneef Ud Din Reshi.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

The references in this article address the shrines of this Sufi. They do not address the biography of the person.

More sources are needed. Individual sources must be evaluated separately and independently of each other and meet the four criteria below to determine if a source qualifies towards establishing notability.

  1. Contain significant coverage addressing the subject of the article directly and in depth.
  2. Be completely independent of the article subject.
  3. Meet the standard for being a reliable source.
  4. Be a secondary source; primary and tertiary sources do not count towards establishing notability.

Given the mandatory requirements for Biography of Living Persons rendered above, the references in this article do not address the biography of this person. Kindly add more categories to the article and attend to the matters above.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Whiteguru}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I've proposed an article that you started, Baba Haneef Ud Din Reshi, for deletion because it meets one or more of our deletion criteria, and I don't think that it is suitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia. The particular issue can be found in the notice that is now visible at the top of the article.

  1. Edit the page
  2. Remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. Click the Publish changes button.

If you object to the article's deletion, please remember to explain why you think the article should be kept on the article's talk page and improve the page to address the issues raised in the deletion notice. Otherwise, it may be deleted later by other means.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|MPGuy2824}}. And remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. Thanks!
