Why wipe out revision history?

On 28 March 2015 you wiped out the revision history of my talk page. Why? — Ottawahitech (talk) 15:29, 30 March 2015 (UTC)

  • I did not "wipe out" the history - I moved it. I am one of admittedly a very small minority who feel that, if possible, the history of an archive page should live with the "top copy" of the archive. Thus for example, if one had suspicions about the authorship of this message, I feel it is better if we can find the answer in the edit history of the same page, thus: difference report. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 16:33, 30 March 2015 (UTC)

Thanks for being so helpful. Just wondering if you also move other talkpages in the same way, or am I in some way privileged to have had this done?

If yes, can you provide some examples of moving other talkpages please

If no, what is the reason you moved my user talkpage when I did not request it, and did it have any connection to my posting titled Tina Huang v. Twitter deleted as as vandalism within minutes of its creatiion? — Ottawahitech (talk) 14:17, 1 April 2015 (UTC)

Junior Michael Chand Mahabir

You seem to have accepted the speedy reason of "He is not notable, Please move it to the Fiji Hindi wiki instead. Bhajan singers do not qualify under our notability criteria"; I'm a little puzzled. I have no idea at all of actual notability, but there is a prize, and a ref. to it. DGG ( talk ) 16:37, 30 March 2015 (UTC)

Deleted page Iris Kurdica (artist)

Hello, I have seen the notification that a page I started has been deleted which has made me confused. Another admin, Nicky Mathew, flagged it for speedy deletion soon after I had started it and I did put a motivation on his talk-page. I have not received any comments back. Now, the page has been removed. Iris Kurdica is the new artistic name of a famous Kurdish artist, producer and director. As far as I know, he did not exist on Wikipedia with his previous artistic name so this may be his first appearance. More of the motivation can be seen on Niky Mathews page. Can the page be restored? — Preceding unsigned comment added by KurdsForKurdistan (talkcontribs) 19:29, 30 March 2015 (UTC)

@KurdsForKurdistan: The page can be restored if you can provide enough evidence of notability. Wikigyt@lk to M£ 20:16, 30 March 2015 (UTC)
Sadly, I can't find any evidence of notability. Kindly wait until your Iris Kurdica (artist) becomes notable and someone with no WP:COI will write about it here. Wikigyt@lk to M£ 20:44, 30 March 2015 (UTC)

Gamma Zeta Rho

Hi! I noticed that you deleted Gamma Zeta Rho from the list of LGBT and LGBT-friendly fraternities and sororities. Can I ask why? — Bali88 (talk) 20:25, 30 March 2015 (UTC)

  • In the source code of the "list of" page you will see an HTML comment marked "important". Please read it. Create the article here about this sorority, wait a week to see if it likely to stick and then you may think about adding it to the "list of" article. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 21:52, 30 March 2015 (UTC)

Thanks. Although I think we could have this conversation without the offensive language. — Bali88 (talk) 22:12, 30 March 2015 (UTC)

  • "Offensive"? Please spell out very carefully what language you consider offensive. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 22:44, 30 March 2015 (UTC)

You used the word dykes a couple of times. I'm not certain if they use that language to describe themselves, but it's not language I like to throw around. — Bali88 (talk) 23:12, 30 March 2015 (UTC)

Thorwald Jørgensen

Hi RHaworth, I noticed that this page I submitted was deleted due to copyright problems (see reference below). The text in this article on thereminworld.com however was copied directly from Thorwald's bio (http://thorwaldjorgensen.com/en/bio) of which I'm the author. I would like to recreate this page and make it compliant to Wikipedia standards and then publish it. If there is anything else I should take into consideration, please let me know. Deleted page User:Pgteekens/Thorwald Jørgensen (Multiple reasons: speedy deletion criteria G11, G12. • I have no COI but theremins are great fun to play - you should try one, or get to the Science Museum when they do demonstrations of one. Anyway, a quick news search shows he can easily clear A7 (not sure about AfD just yet) so I have rewritten Thorwald Jørgensen, but I could do with a hand with someone who speaks Dutch going through some of the foreign language news sources. CenturyLink India

Hi, On 16 January 2015, you deleted the CenturyLink India wiki page citing ([Copyright violation. Creator attempted to delete within 48 and again later but was unsuccessful.]) . The page was written and updated by multiple contributor including me and was initially titled Qwest Software Services since 2007 and then CenturyLink India from 2011. So am not sure what was meant by creator (who?) attempted to delete (what?) within 48 and again later but was unsuccessful. -- Sandyiit (talk) 05:29, 1 April 2015 (UTC)

  • Restored. Speedy tag did not give the alleged copyvio source and the rest of the tag is, I admit, incomprehensible. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 12:17, 2 April 2015 (UTC)

"speedy deletion" of a page I created

Hello, I got a message that the page I created was up for speedy deletion and that I could contest that nomination by clicking on a link - but apparently I wasn't speedy enough... The argument was that the topic is aready coveered in the second language page. However, as a university professor who specializes in second language acquisition, I can safely say that second language fluency is but a subtopic of a very broad "second language" topic. The intended page, to be created by students in the second language fluency course and myself, is intended to provide more in-depth descriptions and pedagogocal implications, together with measures and characteristics of fluency. In the second language page fluency is mentioned 3 times, but just as a general term similar to proficiency and the topic is neither covered in detail nor defined properly. Thank you Deborah — Preceding unsigned comment added by L2fluency (talkcontribs) 10:25, 1 April 2015 (UTC)

(stalking) Hopefully, Roger's having a fun time off-wiki so I'll deal with this .... we generally create spin-off articles to expand a topic when the main article gets too big. The second language article is only 15K, so under our general guidelines it could be up to 3 times as large without requiring a spinoff. So I would recommend adding content in that article. However, you cannot publish your own findings into second language fluency - that's original research. You must derive what you write from reliable sources that have already been published - books are great, magazines can be okay. Have a look at referencing for beginners to see the sort of things you should include. Whatever you find to source from, you must include citations, otherwise your edits are at risk of being reverted. Hope that's of use. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 20:42, 1 April 2015 (UTC)

Need access to diffs of a deleted user page

Hi there, I recently opened a sockpuppetry ticket regarding User:Aaabbb11 as I believe them to be a sockpuppet of User:Asdfg12345 in an attempt to circumvent an old topic ban. I am trying to find evidence to connect the two, but I have very little information regarding userpage behaviour of the former (which would be a strong behavioural connection) because Aaabbb11 had their userpage deleted recently for misuse. Could you please assist me in producing diffs for that userspace prior to deletion? — Simonm223 (talk) 18:14, 1 April 2015 (UTC)

  • Not sure why you need diffs - it had 107 edits - but I have emailed you the last state. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 12:17, 2 April 2015 (UTC)

Jimmy Boyd (gangster)

This page, which I CSD'd yesterday, has been recreated. There are nowa couple of sources to back the allegations that he is at the least a corrupt politician, but firstly the sources seem pretty flaky to me aand secondly surely if you are to describe somebody as a gangste you need a conviction... or at least seriious allegations in (eg) old newspapers. I'm CSDing as an attack page again. — TheLongTone (talk) 12:32, 2 April 2015 (UTC)

Fastest delete in the West... — Preceding unsigned comment added by TheLongTone (talkcontribs)

RHaworth (talk · contribs) had just deleted the page. However, an Indef block of the page creator may also be necessary, if the page is recreated again with the same content without appropriate citations. Although, recreation is not forbidden only if Ellis.Donnie can cite criminal convictions as suggested by RHaworth on their talk page. Wikigyt@lk to M£ 13:35, 2 April 2015 (UTC)
  • Lol yeah maybe gangster wasn't really the word I should have used. But, since he was a politician and a bootlegger and the owner of several illegal establishments at the same time during Prohibition, I think that that proves that he was a corrupt politician, and it certainly wasn't my intent to create an attack page. — Ellis.Donnie (talk) — Preceding undated comment added 13:01, 2 April 2015 (UTC)
Am not convince that the page was not deliberately created to attack the subject of the article, considering the horrible title, Jimmy Boyd (gangster) and its recreation today after it was deleted yesterday. Wikigyt@lk to M£ 13:35, 2 April 2015 (UTC)
  • So yeah RHaworth, if you could e-mail me my deleted page that would be awesome. Thanks. Donovan Ellis (talk) 13:27, 2 April 2015 (UTC) 13:19, 2 April 2015 (UTC)

  • "Awesome" is a word to which I abreact. When I see it in a bio article it almost almost always means "I am non-notable - please delete this page".
@Wikicology: please try and recognise good faith. Even if you had not seen the Jimmy Boyd bio which told you that the guy died in 1974, you should have been able to guess from Donnie's other edits that this was not a personal attack. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 15:25, 2 April 2015 (UTC)

Badia di Santi Flora e Lucilla

The name Badia di Santi Flora e Lucilla, Arezzo is a wrong name in Italian: Flora and Lucilla are female names, so di Santi (male) is incorrect. Please delete the redirect! -- Epìdosis 16:03, 3 April 2015 (UTC)

  • So why did you not do this edit? Please reply. The redirect at the "di" title is what we call a "plausible redirect". It is totally valid. It redirects people immediately to an article which now shows "della" properly. Also it should not be deleted because it is being visited about three times a day. If you want to something useful and you speak Italian, go to the webmasters of rete.toscana.it and moan at them bitterly about the fact that their abysmal design means it is not possible to link to specific pages on the site. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 20:45, 3 April 2015 (UTC)

Anglicanus

Hi RHaworth - sorry to disturb you but could you just take a quick look at User:Anglicanus? The first thing this Catholic priest from Australia does is to go straight to my edits & revert them wholescale (despite them being correct). And to boot, he can never resist making some snide comment. I know I am no good at MOS but surely the correct info is of value to Wiki? Why on earth doesn't he just get on with his MOS thing but not revert accuracy to being inaccuracy. It doesn't say much for Wiki in areas I don't know about - but this dogma about MOS is most definitely not conveying good info (except where I have amended it of course!). But seriously it is no good that he makes a beeline for me like this, surely? — Mabelina (talk) 23:22, 3 April 2015 (UTC)

Apparently User:Mabelina thinks that my being a "priest from Australia" (Anglican Catholic, not Roman Catholic, by the way) is meant to be relevant to something. As for making "snide" comments I don't think it's too difficult to see which of us has perfected this fine literary art (and it ain't me babe). If you edited with some understanding of MOS principles then no one would usually need to revert you. As you don't then it is instead necessary to do so frequently. The problem is yours. — Anglicanus (talk) 23:53, 3 April 2015 (UTC)

Can you userfy?

Hi RHaworth, saw you deleted Mike de Kock in 2013, Is there any possibility you could resurrect it to userfy it in my Userspace? The guy is a horse trainer and I believe at this point I should be able to establish adequate notability because he's probably going to be running a horse in the Kentucky Derby. Anyway, I'd like to see what had been created and if there is much I can do with it. Thanks! Montanabw(talk) 23:20, 5 April 2015 (UTC)

  • It is high time that you learned about wikilinks. Hardly worth it but restored to User:Montanabw/Mike de Kock. When you make it live, do so with a move so that the original author gets properly credited! — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 11:21, 7 April 2015 (UTC)

  Plip!

Excuse me? I've been here for nine years... what do you mean by that "learned about wikilinks" crack? As far as "hardly worth it," I agree that it's turned out to be just a single sentence, but how can I - without access - know that ahead of time? I have seen deleted articles that were quite substantial - no way to know until restored. Minnow slap for unclear snark... But thanks for userfying Montanabw(talk) 07:53, 8 April 2015 (UTC)

Well, sometimes diffs and wikilinks don't point me to the same place when we are dealing with deleted articles and such, I find external links sometimes more precise, but that's a style issue, I suppose, certainly not a moral issue. And while I do accept that you did not intend criticism of me, please think twice before saying things like "you are being over-sensitive." "You" statements that attribute motive are, in general, unwise and often inaccurate. I could as easily say something rather rude back like "you are being very insensitive," but that also gets us nowhere except into an argument over hurt feelings. So I'll call it square and figure that we got the job done. We shall also see how deKock's horse does in the Derby! Montanabw(talk) 06:11, 10 April 2015 (UTC)

  • (stalking) I did chuckle at someone telling an established editor with multiple FAs that they needed to learn about wikilinks. Nice one! Anyway, a quick news search shows Mike de Kock has picked up quite a bit of news coverage anyway even before the Kentucky Derby attempt, such as Racing Post, so it shouldn't be hard to knock up a DYK out of that. Mind you, Roger's right that it hardly seems worth the effort to userfy that tiny stublet. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 17:40, 11 April 2015 (UTC)
  • But it is only established editors that I tell about wikilinks. With newbies it is remarkable if they manage to provide any sort of link so I usually create wikilinks silently. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 23:18, 11 April 2015 (UTC)

Urmila Srabanti Kar

It's nice to see that pages in Wikipedia are actively monitored. This page Urmila Srabanti Kar has been deleted 'which does not credibly indicate the importance or significance of the subject' according to your point of view.

There are more than 320 million Bengalis in the world and Bengalis are the 4th largest ethnic group in this world (List_of_contemporary_ethnic_groups; sort the table in this page by 'Population (estimate)'). To Bengali people Urmila is a very popular young actress. If you search 'bangla natok urmila' in youtube then you will realise how many people are watching the Bengali Dramas of this actress. There are many wiki pages about people with very small audiences or web visitors.

Before just deleting some page you need to do some research. A small search on Google about Urmila Kar will reveal her popularity in the 4th largest ethnic group in the world. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sencyclo (talkcontribs) 00:58, 6 April 2015 (UTC)

  • No, I should not have to do any research - it is up to you to provide evidence of notability. If she is as popular as you claim then you will have no difficulty creating a proper, well referenced article. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 11:21, 7 April 2015 (UTC)

But then you deleted the page altogether, I fail to understand why. KVCB-LP deletion

Hello; reference to KVCB-LP. A high school student tried to enter the basic information for our high school radio station in an article listed above. I have no idea if it was suitable for Wikipedia (I guess it wasn't) but it was basic information -- maybe too basic. It was still listed in the "high school radio" article because we are a high school radio station. The name is linked to no page so a basic page was created. If it's a format issue, please let me know and we'll try to figure it out. If including KVCB-LP is just not suitable for Wikipedia, then so be it :-) Please let me know. Thanks Ralph Martin Hsradioguy (talk) 00:42, 7 April 2015 (UTC)

  • An high school radio station is never likely to be deemed notable. Also a curious sense of priorities: writing about the radio station before the school has an article! So create Vacaville Christian High School. In it put a couple of sentences about the radio station. Then you might possibly find that a redirect from KVCB-LP is accepted. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 11:21, 7 April 2015 (UTC)

The device, its mode of operation, and theories attempting to explain it are all controversial. As of 2015, there are still arguments about whether the EmDrive is genuinely a new propulsion device, or whether its experimental results are simply misinterpretations of spurious effects mixed with experimental errors. The proposed theories of its operation have all been criticized because they seem to violate the conservation of momentum, a fundamental law of physics, though Shawyer asserts that EmDrive does not.

He has no sources to back up this essay of personal feelings other than a link to the EmDrive company faq and when this was proved he used non neutral words like "claimed" and so on he also inserted a dubious infobox 81.235.159.105 (talk) 15:18, 9 April 2015 (UTC)

I'd appreciate it if you could find time to have a look at this: Talk:Goldstein, Hill & West Architects. Deb (talk) 12:25, 12 April 2015 (UTC)

Please do not alter other editors comments on article talk pages, which is a violation of WP:TPO. I've reverted your change to my comment. Also, please note that I provided a cite for the version of the page that each quoted section came from, so there can be no question of my altering quotes. Finally, your deletion of the "Partners" section have been reverted. I suggest you discuss it on the talk page to see if we can come up with consensus. BMK (talk) 23:22, 12 April 2015 (UTC)
Actually, one more thing: how do you square Deb's behavior in the light of WP:CANVASS? BMK (talk) 23:23, 12 April 2015 (UTC)
For the background here, see this and this. BMK (talk) 23:28, 12 April 2015 (UTC)
  • At the end of the day BMK. You can use the rue of thumb. If Goldstein, Hill & West Architects were notable they would already have a Wikipedia page. You would be better off beefing up their entry in trade directory. They are not ready (nor notable enough) for Wikipedia yet – give it time. -- Aspro (talk) 23:43, 12 April 2015 (UTC)

Just curious as to what a blacklisted draft is

Hi, I've been working at AfC a bit over the past week, getting my feet wet. I had declined this submission and today it was deleted under the CSD criteria. However, the rationale is one I've never seen before — "blacklisted draft" — and I got curious, but I couldn't find anything about it on Wikipedia. What does that mean, and how does a draft get blacklisted? Might be useful to know. Thanks, wia (talk) 23:26, 13 April 2015 (UTC)

  • Don't tell anybody but I have no idea either. I hope Velella (talk · contribs) will tell us what a "blacklisted draft" is. I view shouting as vandalism and deleted it for that reason. On further investigation, we could have deleted it for advertising, non-notability, etc. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 11:10, 14 April 2015 (UTC)
That was down to me. It looked like an article that should have been in Draft: namespace and not tagged onto the back of Wikipedia pages for creation. However when I went to move it to Draft I received a very severe message saying. "Unable to move to draft. Article name blacklisted". Hence the given reason. What it actually means I have absolutely no idea ! —  Velella  Velella Talk   12:54, 14 April 2015 (UTC)

Wonder if it has anything to do with MediaWiki regex stuff. Anyway, thanks for the responses! wia (talk) 23:02, 14 April 2015 (UTC)

I had assumed that our friends down at the text redacted in Virginia or in Cheltenham at text redacted had their fingers in Wikipedia apostrophe redacted pie. But perhaps not ? —  Velella  Velella Talk   23:35, 14 April 2015 (UTC)
  • @Velella: I suspect the problem was finger trouble on your part. I challenge you to reproduce it. As you can see, I have moved the page twice with no problem. But try moving the page to [[draft::CYBERSECURITY CAPABILITY MATURITY MODEL (C2M2)]] (extra colon) and you will get an error message with certain similarities to what you describe. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 20:15, 15 April 2015 (UTC)
Could be - mea culpa - these old fingers are quite as nimble as they were when first I started at Wikipedia as a mere slip of a thing.  Velella  Velella Talk   20:28, 15 April 2015 (UTC)

Veeran Azhagu Muthu Kone

Hi, I noticed a request for creation of article on Veeran Azhagu Muthu Kone on WikiProject India/Requested articles, but later I came to know that the article on the subject was deleted by you twice (May 2013 and Jan 2015). Now shall I proceed with creation of a fresh article on the subject Veeran Azhagu Muthu Kone using the following sources as base. Source 1, Source 2 and like wise any other source what so ever I find. I there any other issue, please advise me.-- Mahensingha (Talk) "Thanx n Regards" 10:42, 14 April 2015 (UTC)

Thanks. I will surely go through the discussion.-- Mahensingha (Talk) "Thanx n Regards" 14:00, 14 April 2015 (UTC)

Declining speedy

Regarding this, how is the nomination invalid? Home (2014 film) or Home (2014 comedy film) aren't exactly plausible redirects to a 2015 film. — Snuggums (talk / edits) 13:37, 14 April 2015 (UTC)

  • Speedy deletion of a redirect is subject to a "recent condition". These redirects were created 2014-03-13. If you really want them deleted, raise the matter at RfD. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 20:15, 15 April 2015 (UTC)

ShareRoot

Hello RHaworth!

You removed the page I was working on yesterday for the company I work for ShareRoot due to their not being enough content or verifiable. I was wondering if I could get the page restored as we are a viable company, I was just figuring out how to work the Wikipedia system and set up our profile on the site! If it isn't possible, should I just go ahead and create a new page? I am attempting to build a wiki for our company and am in the midst of compiling information as well as trying to handle all the other aspects of my job. Any help would be much appreciated, and if you want to check out our company website it is shareroot.co. Thanks again! Benjmil (talk) 18:32, 14 April 2015 (UTC) Benjmil

  • Kindly have the decency to wait until someone with no COI thinks your company is notable and writes about it here. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 20:15, 15 April 2015 (UTC)

Sir, Thanks for replying on user talk:Soumanas Sarkar. I didn't know that I was not allowed to do that sorry. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.142.116.245 (talk)

(512) Brewery

I reviewed your reasons for deletion and respectfully disagree. If you look at Jester King's wiki page, another Austin-based craft brewer, you will notice I used their simple page as a template. (512) Brewery is a very popular brand of beer in Texas and should have a wiki page, just as other small breweries do, as well as be included on the category list of Texas breweries. Please restore the page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Blacksunseven (talkcontribs)

Please pay more attention

Roger, please exercise some basic due diligence when deleting things rather than just actioning every CSD tag you come across. User:HJ Mitchell/Main Page firstly isn't anywhere near CSD U5; secondly, you should talk to long-term editors before deleting pages in their userpace; and third, the CSD tag was added as a drive-by edit from an IP—that really ought to raise an eyebrow and make you wonder whether the deletion is in anybody's best interests. — HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 18:22, 16 April 2015 (UTC)

I wish to bring to your attention that HJM not only removed the CSD tag himself, but also threatened to block the tagger (me). (See User talk:43.224.156.79). He rollbacked me when I reinstated the tag, which is also an abuse of the Rollback tool (WP:Rollback makes it clear that it should only be used for reverting blatant vandalism). In what is an overwhelmingly clear abuse of admin tools, HJM protected the page to prevent me from adding back the tag, rather than seeking WP:DR. — 43.224.156.66 (talk) 18:18, 17 April 2015 (UTC)
  • Your deletion of User:MaudeG3/sandbox was wrong—you do realize that Wikipedia articles are licensed under the GNU Free Documentation License and the Creative Commons Attribution Share-Alike 3.0 license, don't you? As such, it is impossible to have an "unambiguous copyright violation" of an article, particularly one that is at AFD and which the user was presumably saving to make some edits to. Please restore that page. Also, while I fully agree with you that it doesn't matter who placed the tag, someone randomly tagging users' userpages for deletion should be investigated more closely (HJ's page doesn't meet U5 by any stretch). The block-evading IP here is also just trolling, as is evidenced by tagging experienced users' pages for deletion, making silly "banned" claims, and marking redirects to the main page for speedy deletion. This user is obviously someone rather experienced with Wikipedia editing while logged out so sanctions and blocks don't affect his main account. Cheers! Reaper Eternal (talk) 13:45, 18 April 2015 (UTC)
  • 43.224.156.66, I do not talk to IP addresses. If you log in and start an MfD discussion, you will probably find I support you. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 22:58, 17 April 2015 (UTC)
Whaddhaya mean by 'I don't talk to IP addresses'? All IP addresses are humans. I am no exception. I am not bothered about that page being deleted or not. MfD nominations of that type generally don't succeed. But I'm bothered about people like HJ Mitchell and Reaper Eternal abusing their tools. RE couldn't bring himself to replying to me on that IP talk page so he removed talk page access. The reason: Inappropriate use of talk page while blocked. I used my talk for only two purposes: (i) replying to HJM and (ii) making an unlock request. If any of them constitutes "inappropriate use" what is the point of even allowing talk access in the first place? — 43.224.156.66 (talk) 08:19, 18 April 2015 (UTC)

Roger, as Reaper says, the IP is messing us around. This has nothing to do with improving Wikipedia, they're just having a laugh, and they clearly know their way around better than the humble infrequent IP editor they're pretending to be. As to the matter at hand, I presume you've actually read WP:U5? I'm sure you're at least that diligent, but I'll copy it here just in case: "Pages in userspace consisting of writings, information, discussions, and/or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals, where the owner has made few or no edits outside of user pages [...] and résumé-style pages." My page is clearly related to Wikipedia (unless you think the main page isn't related to Wikipedia?), so that disqualifies it from U5 at even the slightest glance; I'd expect an admin to be able to tell that while drunk and half asleep with half an eye open at 3am. And I'm an admin with some 76k edits, >95% outside of my userspace, so that also disqualifies it. As to the purpose of the page, I created it for a fringe event in the run-up to last year's Wikimania to explain how the different sections of the main page work; you could have just asked me that in the first place. — HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 15:33, 18 April 2015 (UTC)

Messing us around? If you don't want to be "messed around", please follow these steps: go to Special:Export and download a copy of each one of the 32 million pages here on enwiki. Now, import all these XML files to your own wiki (since it is your own wiki, you must be having importupload rights there). That's it. Now you can edit, delete, protect, move or do whatever with these pages any way you want. Nobody will come to mess you around there. 43.224.156.66 (talk) 17:40, 18 April 2015 (UTC)
  • It's also worth noting that the IP who has posted here should've been reverted and blocked on sight for obvious, and admitted (they admitted they used that IP), block evasion, but there we go. Lukeno94 (tell Luke off here) 16:06, 18 April 2015 (UTC)
@HJ Mitchell and Reaper Eternal: Since a few experienced editors have raised a concern that I am here only for trolling, I have just made a series of what I believe are perfectly legitimate CSD nominations. Most of these are drafts. And if you are curious about how I found out these pages, just go to Special:AllPages/Draft:, you'll be surprised by the number of pages that are clear-cut CSD candidates. (Since I've looked at most of the suspicious titles listed on the front page, you will not find many bad drafts there, but just click on the next page button). 43.224.156.66 (talk) 18:53, 18 April 2015 (UTC)
  • HJM, the page may well have been useful last year. What purpose does it serve now? — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 21:26, 19 April 2015 (UTC)

InFoTED

International Forum for Teacher Educator Development (InFoTED). Please advise why this page was speedily deleted - it's an educational establishment based on membership from notable international universities and teachers. If deletion was necessary how can the page be improved to suggest significance? Best wishes. -- Davidawells (talk) 07:32, 17 April 2015 (UTC)

  • Kindly have the decency to wait until someone with no COI thinks the organisation is notable and writes about it here. Obviously a total lack of independent evidence of notability had some influence on my deletion decision. West Indian Ocean Cable Company

I have written an article on WIOCC that you have contested for speedy deleteion. I dont understand where I went wrong and I tried to follow all the guidelines. Please advice. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tgif10 (talkcontribs)

Just a quick head's up, I declined your CSD nomination of this article and added a source containing basic facts. I wouldn't object to AfD as I haven't a clue whether it's notable or not - the trouble with African technology articles is they tend not to have the same level of online sources that Western countries have. Mabelina yet again (sigh!)

User:Mabelina has once again resumed her disruptive editing of numerous articles with her usual problems. In particular she is still adding the Burke's Peerage website homepage both as a faux citation and as an external link to the Egerton Leigh (priest) article. Dear Mr. Haworth, regarding Sylvester Rivers: please restore the Sylvester Rivers page that you deleted today. Yesterday I sent wiki a message explaining why Sylvester River's page should not be deleted because there is no copyright infringement. Vice Chanceelors in Ghana

Please is it possible you move this deleted article to my talkpage? I want to improve and complete it. Regards -- Rberchie (talk) 22:33, 18 April 2015 (UTC)

  • You are an experience enough editor. You ought to be providing a link to the page you are discussing. Even when we correct your spelling, there has never been a page at vice-chancellors in Ghana nor at three alternative hyphenation and capitalisation variants: e-C, e c and e C. So what on earth are you talking about? — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 21:26, 19 April 2015 (UTC)

Team PNEC-NUST

Hi, I'm currently dealing with an OTRS request regarding this page that was deleted. A request has been made for the article to be restored. I have advised the customer that this is not nessecarily possible. Would you be ale to advise if the content is suitable to be reintroduced as a draft for them to work on to improve until they can show it meets the criteria for inclusion. Amortias (T)(C) 16:30, 19 April 2015 (UTC)

  • "Globally acclaimed for its remarkable performance" in the first sentence is not a good start! Please tell the requester that Wikipedia matters should be discussed on Wikipedia discussion pages and that if a copy of the deleted text is wanted then Farrukhaqil (talk · contribs) or someone will have to enable their "email this user" facility.RHaworth (talk · contribs) 21:26, 19 April 2015 (UTC)

Hi RHaworth, I was actually working on this article while you deleted it. I wonder what's the purpose of "in use" template then?.. I think I can simply created again with my new content, correct? In addition, I am having difficulties with uploading the logo for the organization. It can't go to Commons, and it needs to be uploaded locally. How long do I have to wait until I can do it?
