What is the Wikipedia policy regarding changing unsourced content with other unsourced content? It seems odd you'd defend the original wording as if it was somehow more legitimate than mine, since, it too, was unsourced. The fact that I changed the wording doesn't make the content any more or less unsourced than it already was. I agree there should be a citation there, which is why I added it, but there's no reason to flag it as somehow disruptive, since it was never sourced information to begin with. I would also suggest that your automatic deletion of the content on the Blumenort and Royden Loewen page contravenes a number of recommendations listed here: Wikipedia:Verifiability/Removal of Unsourced Material. For example, regarding biographies of living persons, "contentious material in such articles that is unsourced or poorly sourced should be removed immediately." Rewording an article to say he lived in, rather than only attended school, in a certain community is not "contentious material" that needs to be removed immediately. Nor is it an "apparently ridiculous claim" or obvious vandalism. Furthermore, the guidelines state that "deleting a claim because it is inadequately cited is a decision that should be taken with consideration and care, and is not a call that contributors should make on unfamiliar topics." I'd be glad to hear about the consideration and care you took in reverting this edit and also would love to know how familiar you are with these topics. Again, I am not denying that this claim requires a citation, which is why I added one, but I am suggesting that you did not follow Wikipedia guidelines in reverting the edit. The/Pixies

Regarding the issue of whether the band is called Pixies or the Pixies, I wouldn't be so sure. It seems to be a moving target. Here are a few Frank Black quotes:

"I don't see it any particular way. It just feels like we're the Pixies." [1]

"When the Pixies did a version of it as a B-side I called it 'Velvety Instrumental Version'." [2]

"He's on a quest, whether it's with The Pixies or in her own projects or whatever band that she's playing with."[3]
