Notability edit

Please ensure that the subjects of your articles meet the notability criteria, as detailed in WP:GNG. Articles on non-notable subjects will be sent back to drafts, like I have just done with one of them, or they may be deleted. Ideally, you should submit your proposed articles to the Articles for Creation (AfC) review, until such time as you are confident you understand the notability and other important principles well enough. Thank you, -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 11:02, 13 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

June 2022 edit

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. DoubleGrazing (talk) 12:00, 13 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

It seems that the way you operate is you work on a draft, and when you feel it's ready to publish, you copy & paste its contents into a new article. Please do NOT do this. Firstly, copy-and-paste breaks the history. Secondly, you create duplicate contents, because unless you request the original draft to be deleted, it just sits there.
Most importantly, though, you shouldn't really be publishing articles straight into the main space in any case, unless they are ready for that, which self-evidently they're not.
All the drafts you've created have a blue button on them that says 'Submit the draft for review'; please click on that, when you want the draft to be checked and published if it's accepted. That is by far and away the best way for you to publish your articles. Thank you, -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 12:05, 13 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

so most of the articles will be moved to be as drafts until you review them and publishing them or writing me any comments about? Because all of my art still as draft and didn’t get any of them published Hanan Wadi (talk) 14:24, 13 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
Correct. In general, I see two major concerns:
  1. The topics are not clearly notable. Not every author is notable, and if an author is notable, not every book they write is. Many of the drafts lack clear assertions of significance or importance, much less notability.
  2. The drafts need heavy copyediting. There is inconsistent spelling. There are also concerns that the drafts may be machine translations from the Arabic Wikipedia.
Not only do these need fixed before the drafts can go to mainspace, but when you move them prematurely, it creates a mess that administrators have to clean up. Worse, when you copy and paste the text instead of moving the page, it creates a bigger mess. —C.Fred (talk) 14:42, 13 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Mohammed Omar Azouqah edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Mohammed Omar Azouqah requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. —C.Fred (talk) 19:14, 15 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

Please consider re-evaluating your recent creation of Arabic novel articles edit

Hello, I noticed that you have recently written several new Wikipedia articles on Arabic novels that are likely not notable. I am leaving you this message to ask you to reconsider creating such articles unless you can provide references that meet the English Wikipedia's standards of notability-- see WP:GNG for more information. Thanks! A loose necktie (talk) 18:11, 19 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

hi I came here to talk to you about the same thing. If you want to make sure your articles don’t go up for deletion, you need to source them properly. PDF downloads of a book are useless, as is Goodreads, or interviews with the author. What you need are full, independent reviews on the book in mainstream publications. Please leave a message on my talk page if you need any help. Mccapra (talk) 20:17, 19 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

But more than that, there is the complete lack of communication: you left one single talk page comment, on a page full of questions and notices; you didn't participate in the discussion at ANI; you haven't explained what this group project is all about--because it certainly seems like a group project, and it's a problematic one. DYK for June Rain edit

On 16 July 2022, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article June Rain, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the novel June Rain was described by one critic as "a 'whodunit' without a 'who'"? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/June Rain. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, June Rain), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Sabri Musa moved to draftspace edit

An article you recently created, Sabri Musa, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Speedy deletion of Draft:شرق النخيل (رواية) edit

If this was the first article that you created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
