Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:El Super Market edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:El Super Market, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Request reason:

I noticed that my 'edited' pane was interchanged with the previous edits. I noticed that earlier, it points out that I edited the one with double letters, when in fact it was the original text before I edited it. I remembered editing everything earlier. I also remembered erasing all those double letters, Wikipedia, to fix it. I do not understand why it was interchanged. I remembered clearly that I edited those and even wondered why it shows that I'm making errors when in fact, I'm the one who fixed it. So weird.

Wikipedia and copyright edit

Hello Carriedelvalle23, and welcome to Wikipedia. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. However, there are steps that must be taken to verify that license before you do. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are public domain or compatibly licensed), it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at the help desk before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you can, but please follow the steps in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. NeilN talk to me 04:11, 3 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of VOTEX / TM Technologies Elections Inc. edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on VOTEX / TM Technologies Elections Inc. requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://www.votex.ca/en/company/default.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

Notice edit

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Smartmatic. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Softlavender (talk) 04:06, 21 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Softlavender I understand there have been issues with editing this article. However, since your suggestion of posting the proposed edits on the talk page first, I have done so and not reverted a single edit without there being a discussion on the talk page prior, giving anyone with an opinion to chime in. ZiaLater, on the other hand, IS the one reverting edits without consensus. I don’t understand why I received the warning for edit warring when he/she did not. Can you please explain this? I am following all guidelines, perhaps there is something I am missing. Actually, before you posted this, I thanked ZiaLater for working on the wording with me, so I am not sure how that is edit warring. As stated above, I have used the talk page to the best of my ability discussing all edits first. Again, if you could explain why I am receiving this warning while ZiaLater is not, that would be very helpful. Thank you! Carriedelvalle23 (talk) 16:10, 21 July 2017 (UTC)Reply
That is entirely untrue. If you keep up this self-justification and blatant POV-pushing edit-warring, you will be reported to administrators and banned from editing the Smartmatic article. Softlavender (talk) 02:05, 23 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

YouTube videos edit

Do not post YouTube videos of movies as citations or External Links. Please go back and remove all of the YouTube videos you have added to Wikipedia. Softlavender (talk) 06:51, 21 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Softlavender All right, thanks for the reminder. Will go over my movie edits. :) Carriedelvalle23 (talk) 09:04, 21 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Warning edit

This is your final warning. Do not make any further edits to Smartmatic without previously receiving clear WP:CONSENSUS for the edit on the talk page of the article. It is very clear that you are editing, and edit-warring, with a strong pro-Smartmatic POV, which is obviously some form of conflict of interest. If you edit the article further without getting prior talkpage consensus, I will report you to administrators and you will be banned from anything to do with Smartmatic on Wikipedia, including the article's talkpage. Softlavender (talk) 05:06, 28 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Dhruva Tara (band) edit

The article Dhruva Tara (band) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Does not establish musical notability.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Robert McClenon (talk) 09:02, 15 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hi, still researching for more sources. I can attest that the band is popular in the Philippines, being a Filipino who listens to the music and their series of gigs in Manila. Thanks!Carriedelvalle23 (talk) 09:06, 15 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

Ways to improve Gubat na Mapanglaw edit

Hi, I'm Fortuna Imperatrix Mundi. Carriedelvalle23, thanks for creating Gubat na Mapanglaw!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. I have removed the poem per WP:NOTLYRICS, there may also be a WP:CR issue with that. You need to provide sources for your articles. Many times you do not. They are not guaranteed survival in a/space w/out them.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

@Carriedelvalle23: Please. Your contributions are welcome, but please provide sources and references for your articles as you go along. It is insufficient to say as you do above that you are 'looking for them'- that is why articles get (legitimately) proposed for deletion. I wikified your Kay Selya, but that will not always be alble to be done by someone else. Please don't be put off- but just slow done a bit- there's WP:NODEADLINE, after all- and source the articles as you go. Cheers! — fortunavelut luna 13:07, 22 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

Your contributed article, May Pagasa edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, May Pagasa. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – José Rizal. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at José Rizal. If you have new information to add, you might want to discuss it at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Theroadislong (talk) 21:01, 24 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add articles about individual pseudonyms of a person unless there is something notable to say specifically about that pseudonym. (We have an article about Richard Bachman, but none about Robert Galbraith). It is usually better to keep the content together than to spread it over multiple articles, so I have redirected some of your articles (and deleted another one). —Kusma (t·c) 09:10, 25 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
Hi Theroadislong and Kusma Thanks for the heads up.
I just found something interesting while researching about Andres Bonifacio. It appears that both Jose Rizal and him used the pen name ‘May Pagasa’. Can you kindly help me with this, and give me advice?
Should I re-edit the 'May Pag-asa' pen name and also include that it was indeed, Bonifacio and Rizal's pen name that both heroes used?
Let me know. Maybe we don’t need to erase this, as this appears to be an interesting fact.Carriedelvalle23 (talk) 13:00, 25 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
It is probably better to include this in the pages for both Andres Bonifacio and José Rizal than to make an extra article about a name they used (unless there is a lot you can say about why they chose these names and what they were used for and that these names by themselves meet the WP:GNG). To start a discussion about this, I suggest you use a page like Talk:José Rizal where you might find other editors who can comment on the best course of action. It is possible that a disambiguation page is the best choice at May Pagasa. —Kusma (t·c) 13:20, 25 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

Please stop making wikilink edits to articles. Most of your links are inappropriate -- either redundant, unnecessary, or downright incorrect. If you want to improve articles, please make other edits instead. You do not appear to have the competence at present to make wikilinks.

  • Do not link ordinary words or place names.
  • Do not link something that has already been linked once in the article's body text.
  • Do not link when there is no article on the subject. (See WP:WTAF.)
  • Do not link to pages that are not exactly what is referred to.

Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". Thank you. Melcous (talk) 12:19, 3 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

Nomination of Chicks (film) for deletion edit

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Chicks (film) is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Chicks (film) until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. — Zawl 11:13, 3 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

Nakagapos na Puso moved to draftspace edit

An article you recently created, Nakagapos na Puso, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please follow the confirms on the Articles for Creation template atop the page. — Zawl 13:12, 6 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of A Mi Musa edit

The article A Mi Musa has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No claim of notability for this poem, and no significant coverage in reliable sources.

In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. power~enwiki (π, ν) 22:17, 7 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

Your draft article, Draft:Nakagapos na Puso edit

Hello, Carriedelvalle23. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Nakagapos na Puso".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Hhkohh (talk) 11:46, 7 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

2019 US Banknote Contest edit

  US Banknote Contest
November-December 2019

There are an estimated 30,000 different varieties of United States banknotes, yet only a fraction of these are represented on Wikimedia Commons in the form of 2D scans. Additionally, Colonial America, the Confederate States, the Republic of Texas, multiple states and territories, communities, and private companies have issued banknotes that are in the public domain today but are absent from Commons.

In the months of November and December, WikiProject Numismatics will be running a cross-wiki upload-a-thon, the 2019 US Banknote Contest. The goal of the contest is to increase the number of US banknote images available to content creators on all Wikimedia projects. Participants will claim points for uploading and importing 2D scans of US banknotes, and at the end of the contest all will receive awards. Whether you want to claim the Gold Wiki or you just want to have fun, all are invited to participate.

If you do not want to receive invitations to future US Banknote Contests, follow the instructions here

Proposed deletion of Kabayo Kids edit

The article Kabayo Kids has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non notable film, seems to fail WP:NFILM. Tagged for notability since November 2017.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
