Oxford comma

Hey Sabaybayin -- thanks for the cheeseburger! I noted on your userpage that you're pretty focused on Oxford comma use across the wiki. I just wanted to encourage you to check out Wikipedia's Manual of Style (unless you already have!), which has a section dedicated to Oxford comma use. Basically, what should be noted is that either use or non-use of the Oxford comma on Wikipedia is acceptable, so long as the article remains internally consistent. @Belinrahs: Thanks! Thanks for reminding me about MOS:OXFORD and I understand that an Oxford comma doesn't add much value to a Wikipedia article but it's a personal preference for me as it also makes it easier to read lists. I don't only focus on adding commas to articles though usually, they're missing articles such as "the" or "a" or have inconsistent use of tense in one sentence. I believe maintaining a high level of English writing will encourage teachers and educators again on the reliability of Wikipedia since they're always on the lookout for errors on Wiki pages. Ed Garcia

Hello Sabaybayin, this is all very new to me. I'm not sure if I'm replying in the right section. I'm curious about the event and the book. What is its title? Ed Garcia's earlier works are out of print at Claretian Publications and I can't find any copies for sale.

I've not been able to write as much as I intended. And I apologise for the sentiment and idealism of my user page. I read Courage (2018), a wonderful short book of autobiographical and inspirational essays. It is clear that Garcia is influenced by a myriad of perspectives/philosophies: active nonviolence, human rights frames, community organizing, Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Jr., Christianity, a trademark of a Filipino Social Democrat. I've been curious about the man since a forum at the Ateneo on peace-building. I wrote the article because I wanted to feature an intellectual of the Socdems in the 1970s—an often overlooked movement/group (of which many were fellow Atenistas).Joseph-Elijah-Sydney-Gil-y-Junio (talk) 12:49, 18 February 2020 (UTC)

@Joseph-Elijah-Sydney-Gil-y-Junio: Great! Yes, you're replying in the right section. We usually leave replies on each other's talk pages especially if two editors are collaborating on a certain page. It's great to see another Filipino editor (Atenista pa!) it gets lonely editing the Philippine Wikipedia pages sometimes. I haven't been here especially long but I've already learned a lot from talking with other editors and researchers. The event was held at the CHR main office in UP and it was to launch the book Narratives of Social Democrats during the Martial Law period. I was very fortunate to get to speak with Fr. Ed Garcia and I checked his wiki page when some students asked who he was. I have a copy of the book and I visit AdMU regularly perhaps I can lend you my copy and we can collaborate on improving some of these pages. Cheers! Sabaybayin (talk) 13:21, 18 February 2020 (UTC)

@Diannaa: Hi, are you referring to the overview section that contains parts of the law? Please advise on how to cite the public domain portion of the law. Curious about WikiProject: Graphic Design

Hello - Are you one of the founders of WikiProject: Graphic Design? I am working with a group of individuals who want to start writing more about certain aspects of graphic design. @Oughtta Be Otters First of all I checked your User page and I love your initiatives! Hi, unfortunately, I am not one of the founders of the project but I did join back in 2019 as I was editing basic articles of concept art. Looking at the logs the project was started all the way back in 2006 it's currently listed as semi-active and haven't heard of any events being run yet. You're welcome to add yourself to the Wiki project and I would suggest starting a Taskforce see WP:TASKFORCE and outline your specific goals and scope.
