The word UVALA which is listed under the words of Serbo-Croatian origin is in fact SLOVENIAN. Slovenia has been an idependent country for more than 20 years now and the documents in Slovenian language date back to the 10th century.
Uvala is a word that is connected with the Karst Region (Kras) which is in Slovenia.
Besides, Serbo-Croatian is NOT a language at all. The term was used for the mixture of Serbian and Croat languages in the times of former Yugoslavia but since the Croatian independence these are officially two different languages with their distinctive features (both grammatical and in terms of vocabulary these are 2 different languages. --193.2.191.30 (talk) 08:18, 10 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

If English were unfortunate enough to be mainly based on a single language, this effort would lead to a single, stupidly long article that just lists every English word. It is only an accident that we can split these words among articles of a somewhat reasonable length. Why don't we just make it possible / easier to search wiktionary by region of origin? Wikipedia is not a dictionary, directory or repository and these articles seem like all three. Connor Behan (talk) 18:06, 26 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
