Speedy deletion nomination of Daniel Tillman edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Daniel Tillman requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Proposed deletion of Daniel Tillman edit

The article Daniel Tillman has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:GNG and WP:BASE/N.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. – Muboshgu (talk) 18:11, 19 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

1936 United States presidential election in Illinois edit

Hey, just to warn you that there were some issues in this article. The table was missing an 'other' row present in the source and in the infobox Landon's percentage was wrong. I'm fixing these issues now. I notice also that a lot of links are still in the old format ("United States presidential election in Illinois, 1936") so I've set up a redirect as there were three articles pointing to this. Proposed deletion of Thomas Ives edit

Hello, Patriotsontop

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username SportingFlyer and it's nice to meet you :-)

I wanted to let you know that I’ve proposed an article that you started, Thomas Ives, for deletion because it meets one of the relevant criterion. The particular issue can be located in the notice, that is now visible at the top of the article.

If you wish to prevent the deletion:

  1. Edit the page
  2. Remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. Click the Publish changes button.

But, please remember to explain why you think the article should be kept on the article's talk page and improve the page to address the raised issues. Otherwise, it may be deleted later by other means.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|SportingFlyer}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

Ways to improve Matt Kaskey edit

Hello, Patriotsontop,

Thank you for creating Matt Kaskey.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

I expect that he should have played in a Panthers real match, not just practiced before having an article here.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Graeme Bartlett}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Graeme Bartlett (talk) 22:07, 29 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

@Graeme Bartlett:

Hey, thanks for the note. I think the tag should be removed on the page because the page passes WP:NGRIDIRON, as Kaskey is currently on an active roster and played in this week's game.

Patriotsontop (talk) 04:07, 30 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

Is there a source to show he actually played and did not just sit in the sideline? If so, the source can be added the tag can be removed. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 04:15, 30 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

@Graeme Bartlett: Sorry, I spoke too soon; he was inactive in this week's game. However, promotion to an NFL active roster is deemed enough to be considered notable, as seen in all of these pages, for example. Patriotsontop (talk) 04:26, 30 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

I think this is a case of too soon. He will probably qualify in the next few weeks. See Wikipedia:Notability (sports). The word they use here is "appeared". Graeme Bartlett (talk) 04:40, 30 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for uploading File:Tides of a Teardrop.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 19:05, 2 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Autopatrol nomination edit

Hi there! I just wanted to give you a heads up that I've nominated you for the autopatrol user right, which allows a user to create pages that are then automatically approved without them having to be manually reviewed by a new page reviewer. The nomination page is here. This right wouldn't have any direct effect on your editing, it's just in place to lessen the workload for NPRs.

Thanks for all your work on college football articles this spring! It's greatly appreciated. PCN02WPS (talk | contribs) 18:34, 16 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Autopatrolled granted edit

Hi Patriotsontop, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the "autopatrolled" permission to your account, as you have created numerous, valid articles. This feature will have no effect on your editing, and is simply intended to reduce the workload on new page patrollers. For more information on the autopatrolled right, see Wikipedia:Autopatrolled. However, you should consider adding relevant wikiproject talk-page templates, stub-tags and categories to new articles that you create if you aren't already in the habit of doing so, since your articles will no longer be systematically checked by other editors (User:Evad37/rater and User:SD0001/StubSorter.js are useful scripts which can help). Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! ~Swarm~ {sting} 03:47, 20 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Wagner football season articles edit

Patriotsontop, thanks for kicking off all those Wagner football season articles. Take a look at the edits I made to 2004 Wagner Seahawks football team. In particular, on the schedule tables, you want to make use of Template:Cfb link. This will automatically updates the link if and when articles are created for other specific seasons, e.g. 2004 Marist Red Foxes football team. You also don't have to bother to update to the code from cfb link, as you did at Template:2004 Northeast Conference football standings, since a bot will do that automatically within a few hours. Keep up the good work. Jweiss11 (talk) 18:08, 8 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

File permission problem with File:Lucas Atkinson.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Lucas Atkinson.jpg, which you've attributed to South Carolina House of Representatives. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Speedy deletion of Devin Ross edit

If this was the first article that you created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

The page Devin Ross has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appeared to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, such as at Articles for deletion. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

Please do not recreate the material without addressing these concerns, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If you think this page should not have been deleted for this reason, or you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.

Here is a list of your uploads. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sreejith K (talk) 14:22, 10 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
