Magioladitis I don't understand how this category is filled. For the political articles, I know that I'm working from one template (or its children (which are a pain)) and that the articles that have a problem are at Category:Pages using infobox political party with unknown parameters and/or Category:Political party articles using deprecated parameters. This seems to be *much* wider and from looking at the first article, the category is on the talk page with no indication when the article is edited as to what is the problem.
Example. The category in fact contains all wrap templates of {{WikiProject United States}}. User:Magioladitis/WikiProjects provides a custom module to bypass redirects to WikiProjects. If this is run to the category it should fix 90-95% of them. There is a chance that new redirects were created recently. -- Magioladitis (talk) 14:34, 17 February 2017 (UTC)

Hey. The seat counts of the party can be added in manually, in the standard party infobox. Neither PS nor LR use the French-specific infobox, so if that's your main concern, then you could easily copy-paste the code from those articles, and modify it to suit PG's seat count. - I would say either (1) inspect it to make sure the transformation makes sense, or (2) just comment it out. and, you appear to be adding many articles to Category:Pages using duplicate arguments in template calls, which is another sign that there could be a problem, since the parameter may already exist. - WikiOriginal-9 Yup. Not perfect. I'd also drop the entire text into a UNIX file and use a unix command that outputs the results in reverse order of lines. I'd had tables that have gone back and forth between Excel and UNIX/with vi several times before I've gotten them working. Hi Naraht. I've a puzzle for you. Do you know why this link: New York wouldn't show up properly on this page:

I've recently adjusted it from [[New York (state)|New York]] to [[New York]], but either way, the wikilink doesn't show up properly within the table for any of the 15 or so times it is used. Re: Golden Key edit
Well, if I find positive press coverage, I'm willing to add it, but none of the independent sourcing is written from the standpoint that they're doing much of anything good these days. I have university access to the full Chronicle article, and I did actually include some backstory about the original vision, which, at least in theory, sounds rather noble - an antidote to the old-boy elitism of Ye Olde Honoure Societies, by basing membership strictly on merits. As you will se from references used in the article, the SppS is defined as a distinct infrastructure at CERN, and not equivalent to the Super Proton Synchrotron (SPS). The article is justified, I think, because Carlo Rubbia wan the 1984 Nobel Prize in Physics on the conception and construction of the new CERN collider in itself. If I were to give justice to the collider in the SPS-article, it would mean substantially changing, and in my opinion degrading – because it might confuse the reader regarding how SPS is run now vs. in the 80s, the article. I think it would be much more orderly to create one article about the collider (1981-1990), and keep the article on the synchrotron, and link between the two of them. Iota Tau Kappa edit
Hello Naraht,
I'm writing in regards to the Wikipedia page titled 'Iota Tau Kappa' that I have created and invested countless hours into in order to refine the content so it may be deemed "notable" by editors such as yourself. Being that Iota Tau Kappa is a fairly young fraternity as well as a strictly local organization there is limited source material available online as well as in local library systems. The page was created as a tribute to Iota Tau Kappa's alumni that were active during strenuous times in United States history as well as to our brothers that gave their lives in the service of their country. With that being said I was hoping that you could allow fair passage for Iota Tau Kappa's Wikipedia page so that our alumni may reflect on the origins of our fraternity and the years of past. It would mean the world to the families of Robert D. Cicio and Kevin P. Coulman to see that their lives and their service is remembered as well as known to the public. Thank you.

- MP Mau5 I appreciate your efforts to attempt to collect information in one place. As I indicated in my message on your talk page, the issue is that only a few of the references are *about* Iota Tau Kappa and show its notability. References that talk about the Blacklist that don't relate directly to Iota Tau Kappa should be on a page of their own, and alumni whose references don't show that they are Iota Tau Kappa brothers don't belong either. In terms of places to check for further notability, I'd suggest tracking down the archives of the campus newspaper (The State Times, I believe), the yearbook (Oneontan?) and the city of Oneonta newspaper (The Daily Star). The records do *not* (repeat *NOT*) have to be online and I'd suggest the Milne Library as a starting point and possibly Sean Gallagher as well (since I'm sure his research into the blacklist is probably superior to that of the Milne Library).
- Drafts are only deleted if they go six months without editing, so there isn't much of a deadline here. I'm quite happy to help with research suggestions and for references found to help improve the article based on them. I like seeing articles about Greek Letter Organizations be added, but *this* one, if created and then proposed for deletion, I couldn't argue to keep. So rather than have that happen, I'd like to keep it in draft form as additional notability references are looked for.
- Another option in the mean time is to have a website separate from wikipedia, wiki software based or not with the information that you've found so far on it. 20:08, 21 July 2017 (UTC)

- Carptrash There is at least one other method as well, having the Book and its info in a bibliography and then having the references refer to the book with pages in the ref. See Robert E. Lee for an example. I prefer the method that I did, others prefer the second. Sigma Pi page question edit
Long time, no talk. Hope you are well. Would you mind taking a look at the last edit done to the Sigma Pi page in the Controversies section? I'm concerned about the amount of times the accuser's name is mentioned, or whether it needs to be mentioned at all. - I may want to take more of a deep dive into it, but I'm going to start by saying I don't consider totalfratmove to be a reliable source. The article prior to that has two reliable sources (and the school newspaper seems to be the primary source *for* totalfratmove and seems to cover things adequately. I am writing in regards to a Wikipedia entry for a Pittsburgh folk-pop group. Our band write-up has been declined by Wikipedia 3 times this year. The most recent decline on October 6 had your name (Naraht) attached to it, and it said that no changes had been made, when there had been.
We’ve noticed that your alma mater is Carnegie Mellon University, hooray! The bandname is Wimp Factor 14, and between years 1989-1994 most of the band attended Carnegie Mellon. Could you please lend a hand to your fellow CMU Tartans, and make it possible for us to be accepted into the Wiki catalogue? You can do this I believe either by letting our (what seems to be) very well written and referenced entry pass through your editing, or could you please provide SPECIFIC ways that we can re-word our sources in the document?
The notices I get back with Wiki's rejection are all over the map with a wide variety of suggestions; I am not sure onto which specifics there is to be focus, if there actually needs to be.

- Catalinamoreno88 My rejection was because there had been nothing added to the article other than a resubmission since Drewmutt had rejected it. See the history (https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Draft:Wimp_Factor_14&action=history )
- As for helping, we can work together, but then someone else would need to review. The references are actually pretty good for the band, the issue isn't the references, it is Notability. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Notability_(music). Unfortunately, the Harvard Crimson article counts as a school newspaper (albeit a fairly well known one) and should be kept but https://www.newspapers.com/newspage/91039834/ or https://www.newspapers.com/newspage/89930636/ from the Pittsburgh Post Gazette might count for notabilbity. (The OCR isn't great, but if we can find better), but not sure if http://www.post-gazette.com/frontpage/2004/03/26/Local-Scene-3-26-04/stories/200403260159 would. (googling for "Wimp Factor 14", Pittsburgh and gazette brought up probably your best bets). You don't need the newspaper to be accessible online, just know which one it is.

Yeah, like I predicted at the AfD, I would need to watch this page like a hawk for the rest of my life, and sure enough, four months later...It's up to you if you want to take any direct action (I don't want to end up at 3RR), but this is a total snow job; every single sentence of critique or even mildly unfavorable portrayal has been stripped from the article and replaced with bloated wording. Delta Lambda edit
Hello Naraht,
To respond to your question earlier, and about all the edits and switches, Yes both institutions are one in the same. I have been in close contact with members from the University Of the East that have passed the baton to us after the Fraternity/ Sorority has more or less "died out" at U.E. They were overwhelmed when they were told new life would be brought into Delta Lambda, or DELTAN. The coat of arms was also resurrected after a long search, and remastered. ♦Naraht, I saw that you posted on my proposed page, Delta Lambda's deletion page. I would just like to ask why? This wikipedia page was a surviving wikipedia page for years, that was outdated, minimally sourced (with outdated, non-credible sources), and not frequently visited. Now I understand this is more or less of a new organization, but the fact it is based on an older organization that was grounded should allow this page to remain up. This organization is legitimate, and sources are minimal as of now to prove its legitimacy, but nonetheless, the page has many more components the page prior did not have. Help me out Naraht. - Beexj The question is notability. The page as it was when you first posting didn't meet Wikipedia's standards of referenced notability and would have been unlikely to pass an AFD, none of the changes in regards to Michigan State have changed that. The only thing that I have seen as a reference that directly referenced Delta Lambda is a facebook page, and facebook doesn't count as a reliable source.Naraht (talk) 19:18, 6 November 2017 (UTC)
–Naraht I understand there is little credibility for this organization but it is little known to the public because it has been dormant for so long, with nobody putting effort into updating the information of the organization. I noted this in the AfD page[1]. Why is this page now being brought into question after no life has been brought into it until this week? The page lacked primary sources and much legitimacy for much time without receiving any scrutiny. I just want to wonder why you or KylieTastic have not intervened with the page until this point? I've proposed to bring forward more sources as they are brought forward, but for now the sources that exist are all that are readily available. I would see it that I would not be fighting this issue tooth and nail if it weren't legitimate, I have plenty of other time consuming tasks I could be dealing with. Thank you for hearing me out. - Beexj Why didn't it have scrutiny? Because frankly nobody noticed. There may be *thousands* of wikipedia pages which without additional secondary references would be suitable for consideration at an AFD. In fact, if you find a page lacking references or whose only reference is a facebook page, you can nominate it for an AFD. In many cases that leads to someone actually looking for references and improving the page. I've personally created more than a dozen pages for Greek Letter Organizations, and spent days looking for references in Philippine sources for Hazing Deaths in the Philippines and time working on other Philippines GLOs. For example for UP Sigma Rho, http://www.philstar.com/metro/107649/3-sigma-rhoans-charged would be a suitable reference for the existance and notability. While it is unfortunate that Hazing and other issues with RA8049 are likely to be what creates references that show notability, they do.

°Naraht This is unfortunate this is the only way such things get noticed. I appreciate your passion for greek life and the components of the pages' legitimacy, that is nice. So let me ask you for some words of advice. If I have written studies pertaining to law and political societies in NCR, Philippines, but little academic journal entries are available for the sources, what should I do? This is a relatively unknown society forming into a fraternity so I can understand why there is little information on the topic. This is a real legitimate (new) fraternity in the United States and Michigan State, but how should I maintain the legitimacy of the page label? I really want to keep this in circulation on Wikipedia, as it would mean a lot to not only myself as the curator of this U.S. chapter (Alpha) but also those who are also co-founders, and pledges to come in future generations. - For the original group in the Philippines, see Aquila Legis (a fellow Law Fraternity (also not at a UP school) as an example. Sources do *not* have to be online, but merely have to be available without having to pay for them (and even then, there are also reference behind electronic paywalls which can be used).
- I'm not sure what you mean by the legitimacy of the page label. And on a completely separate (wikipedia unrelated) question... With a change in emphasis away from specifically Law, a move across the ocean and a change (apparently) Coat of Arms, why tie the new group to Delta Lambda's history as opposed to starting fresh?Naraht (talk) 21:42, 7 November 2017 (UTC)

- (Comment from a passer-by.) Beexj: it appears you have confounded the difference between the "legitimacy" (as you call it) of sources, and the notability of topics. Sources must be reliable (see WP:RS for details), and, for the most part, comments on Facebook are not considered reliable, and therefor not "legitimate". On the other hand, topics must be notable. That a topic (e.g., Delta Lambda) is in some way "legitimate" (because they have proper incorporation papers?) is not significant. As Naraht said: "

" Your "it is little known to the public
" – up to but not including the "because" – is, in essence, the answer: it is little known to the public. Why this is so is not significant. And trying to make it more significant by polishing the Wikipedia page is quite improper; WP is not a means of promotion.

I'm sorry you got involved in the mix. A friend of mine showed me this diff (there is no "José Chivati", that's a vandalism that probably got imported in good faith from es.wp), because some [insert random insult here] was bragging about how he vandalised that article on Facebook, and I mindlessly clicked on the wrong "restore this version", before giving him the scold of the year. Only after I finished, I noted how I had undone other totally legit edits, yours included. In the next edit I hope I restored all of your corrections, if not please let me know.
