Be carefull edit

Can you explain me that why you tagged Machendranathan under G10?

G10 (attack page criteria) is very sensetive. It means that the page is against the parson and totally negative which was created to harm the person.

If you missuse G10, You may even be blocked.

Please take care in using such criterias and go throught WP:CSD Carefully. Yasht101 :) 09:09, 28 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Garlic pickle edit

The article Garlic pickle has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Aside from being very poorly sourced, I just don't think garlic pickles are sufficiently notable to warrant a separate page. However, if someone knows Indian culture better than I do says that these really are a notable food, I'll withdraw my objection to the page (at which point we need to rework the page, especially regarding the supposed health benefits.)

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. JoelWhy (talk) 13:11, 28 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hi Joel, Though garlic pickle is not sufficiently notable, it is famous in India. I'm collecting data related to various pickles prepared and used in India alone. Please see the Category:Indian pickles. I will be removing the deletion tag from the article. Madhuric (talk) 13:41, 28 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Pickles edit

Hi, I've noticed you've been creating articles relating to Pickles. Here is what I observed:

  • Andhra: Please use full names. Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, etc.
  • Popularity Region: Neither Garlic Pickle nor Ginger Pickle are famous in and only in AP. They're famous/popular all across India. You might want to check that.
  • Talk Page: PLEASE create the talk page WITH {{WP India}}. This will bring it to our notice so other editors can further help out.
  • PROD: DO NOT REMOVE a Proposed Deletion or Speedy Deletion tag WITHOUT consensus on the talk page.

While I am NOT leaving a warning, consider this as a recommendation from an older editor. Removing templates may result in you being warned by other editors. Please be careful in future. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 07:47, 2 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Sweet sour lemon pickle and other pickles edit

You seem to be creating numerous very small articles on Indian pickles. This has been commented on by other editors. At least one has been recommended for deletion. Such small articles are of doubtful value in WP. I hope you would take note of the editing community's concern about these articles and consolidate them into a single article, or find an existing article into which your material could be merged. Perhaps the article entitled Indian pickles would be suitable. --Greenmaven (talk) 04:28, 10 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hi Jack, Thanks for the information. I do not want to merge all those pickles related articles into Indian pickles as this is merged to South Asian pickle. Can you please suggest how do I need to solve this issue of tagging as merge. Can I create an article named List of Indian pickles and include this in South Asian pickle under India section? Help me on this regard. Madhuric (talk) 04:52, 10 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

I have looked at 'South Asian pickle India section'. It does not seem to be the best place to add your 'mini-recipes'. I think your idea to create List of Indian pickles is a good one. It could then have a link to it added to the 'See also' section of South Asian pickle. Your recipes are so short I think they could reasonably all be brought together as the contents of such a list. You could cut and paste the content of your existing articles to create this list very easily; and then request the original articles to be deleted. ('speedy deletion G7'). I hope this helps. The merge tag will disappear when the article is nominated for deletion. --Greenmaven (talk) 05:06, 10 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Satyatma Tirtha edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Satyatma Tirtha requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Proposed deletion of Bulbul (film) edit

The article Bulbul (film) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

fails WP:NFILM no indication it has entered principal photography stage

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 14:29, 16 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

WP:FOOD Needs You! edit

Hi there Madhuric! I've noticed you have yourself listed as a member of the Food and Drink Wikiproject. Unfortunately it looks like the project has been slowly sliding into inactivity except for a couple of people. That makes me a sad potato, and nobody likes a sad potato amirite?

If you'd like to turn my frown upside down, can you do two small things?

First off, go here and add {{Tick}} ( Y) next to your name if you're still part of the project.

Second, go to the project talkpage and participate in a discussion about how to make the project more active, and how to go about making articles in our area of interest a lot better.

You don't want to make me cry, do you? Potatoes have a lot of eyes you know. So come on, join in! :)

Motto of the Day Help Request April 2014 edit

Motto of the Day (WP:MOTD) is in a state of emergency and really needs your help! There are not enough editors who are reviewing or nominating mottos at Wikipedia:Motto of the day/Nominations/In review, and this probably means that you will notice a red link or “This space for rent” as our mottos for the next weeks and months.

Please take a moment to review the nominations and nominate your own new mottos at Wikipedia:Motto of the day/Nominations/In review and Wikipedia:Motto of the day/Nominations/'Specials. Any help would be appreciated! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 09:13, 29 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Asian 10,000 Challenge invite edit

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 05:20, 20 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

New deal for page patrollers edit

Hi Madhuric,

In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.

Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.

Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:29, 13 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
