Jeannie Seely discography

Hello. Your "verification" tag for this article was not necessary, as there are 28 cited references from reliable and published sources. Allmusic and Billboard are considered such sources. It is helpful to read WP: Reliable Sources and WP: Discography style guidelines to understand why such articles should be cited. Now, as for her main article, I would agree that the citation tag should be there because there's only 8 sources listed. This is a place where a citation tag would make sense. Slayer

Thanks for making me aware of some citation faults on Slayer. This one was a featured article way back in 2007 and maintenance has been lacking, it appears. I see quite a few editing errors throughout and plan to take it to WP:FAR soon unless someone is willing to clean it up.

However, can you please use {{BLP sources}} and not {{refimprove}} when asking for additional references on a biographical article? It makes it much easier for people who are specifically looking for biographical articles to fix up, especially given the nature of citing biographical articles vs. topical articles. Hello J. Thanks for all the work you do here at the 'pedia. I have asked numerous times in edit summaries for you to please put the bare url tags at the top of the article. This is in the instructions for the template. When those of us who work on fixing bare urls have 20+ articles to fix at a time having to hunt for the tag is a real time waster. This one took time that I could have been better spent working on other articles. I'm not sure why you feel the need to find so many different places to hide these but it is not helpful. It looks like you made some mistakes with the redirects you just created. Why did you redirect Shelley Luther to Coronavirus disease 2019? The mistake of redirecting several article names, such as Shooting of Rigoberto Alpizar to Talk:Death of Breonna Taylor? The article has 40 citations and no citations needed tags, I don't think there's a single sentence of text that doesn't have a citation.   That's not it. You repeatedly went out of your way to insert the name of a private individual, who explicitly has tried to remain anonymous, into an article in an explosive (to say the least) context that has significant potential to make that person the target of harassment and -- quite realistically -- actual harm. And you persisted in doing so after you were pointed to WP:BLPNAME. Then, after admins WP:REVDELed all that stuff to hide the person's identity from public view and you were told that that had been done, you went ahead and posted what you labeled a "reply" which contained yet more identifying information about this person. There's nothing wrong with "posting about awards" -- unless, that is, the award is so unique that it makes identifying the recipient easy. EEng 03:02, 14 June 2020 (UTC)

I understand that protecting the privacy of that person is important, especially if it does not contribute significantly to encyclopedic material. If I write about another very prominent individual, and it gets reverted, I will follow WP:BRD and tactfully discuss the issue without naming names. I am not sure how to make this any clearer. You can also learn how to properly use the {{cite web}} and other citation templates yourself. The volunteers are not here to work for you. If I am not on a phone, I will keep my use of {{LR}} to a minimum (if I use it at all), so long as the Linkrot tool and my internet connection work properly. I do know how to use {{cite web}}, however, per the guidelines I set forth here, if a long article is heavily uncited, that is on the editor who wrote the material. Please be a productive member of the community and not make pointy edits like this that you made to Sheep (EP). Instead of fixing the spelling error, you actually added a {{who}} tag to the article. Then when someone removed the tag, you reverted the edit rather then again just fixing the error yourself. I don't know what is wrong with you that you expect everyone else to do work that you can simply do yourself in the same amount of time or faster than you tagging articles. You're wasting both your time and that of other editors. You need to be respectful of the time others put into editing articles in this encyclopedia. FYI - the CfR-speedy process will take care of category creation for name changes. There was no reason to create Category:Impending Doom albums in anticipation of the change since it has to be deleted to allow for the eventual move of Category:Impending Doom (American band) albums. A bit surprising from you doing too much. Could you request deletion of Category:Impending Doom using {{db-author}} or {{db-emptycat}} per WP:OCEPON? Thanks. Guidance on a disagreement in content of a bio of a living person

I don't think the Tracy Chapman bio's Personal Life section is necessary or follows wikipedia guidelines concerning contentious topics. I don't think the one reference that links to a very vague article in the Guardian is fulfills the well-sourced requirement. Another editor argues the Guardian is a good source. I looked at what was in the source and there is no discussion of Chapman's sexually orientation or sex life in the one and only source. Consolidated navbox

I get it, because you created that navbox you want to oversee it. But "the navbox started with years" is not an argument for keeping the extraneous information there. WP:EXISTING states "Unlinked text should be avoided" in navigation templates.
