Professionalism status of Turkish football leagues

edit

Dear CeeGee, I trust this finds you well. Could you kindy have a glance on following Talk Page, at your earliest convenience, please?: Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Football/Fully professional leagues#Turkey. I'd like to discuss further with you if you are interested in this thread. This is such an important issue to maintain the articles of footballers playing at lower professional leagues in Turkey. Thank you in advance. Umi1903 (talk) 13:46, 30 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

  • @Umi1903: Hi! Thanks for your above request. Unfortunately, I focus on the women's football in Turkey only, and have no knowledge about the men's. In order not to make any mistake, I want to stay out of the discussen. Sorry about that. CeeGee 09:47, 31 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Socks in space

edit

Hi CeeGee, I just wanted to let you know the reason I reverted a couple of edits in Turkish Space Agency was because they were made by a sock puppet of indefinitely-blocked user Shingling334. No problem that you reinstated them, as I guess we can't really argue about what the name and location of the Turkish Space Agency is. However, though he sometimes makes relatively harmless (though almost never helpful) edits, he has a years-long history of being very disruptive - you can see an example of his latest month-long vandalism meltdown here. Now that he's managed to get an edit accepted at Turkish Space Agency, it's likely that he will continue to target the article, and perhaps you personally, trying for more. It's easy enough to clean up, but just so you know, and if you see me or others reverting what seem to be harmless edits by this person, to consider the rationale at WP:BMB before reinstating them. I'm hoping that someday he will realize that all his edits always get reverted, and get bored and give up, akin to WP:RBI. Thanks for your understanding... --IamNotU (talk) 20:45, 7 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

İzmir

edit

I hope that all is well for you, CeeGee! I could never forget how you put me on to this site and how to effectively contribute to it, working with me all the way to my first WP:GA – in that sense, you're like the Godfather in respect to my time on Wikipedia. I also didn't forget that years ago, you suggested that the next step was for me to work towards the goal of improving the İzmir article to WP:FA status – and though no small task, I've found myself on Wikipedia more frequently this year and the last in my spare time taking measures to improve Turkey and particularly Izmir-related articles, until finally we come to now, when I've reached my interstitial break between my spring and summer semesters. In the past few days, I've taken many steps to update and overhaul the İzmir page. I have come to you to invite you to help me, if you'd like, with bringing this article to the quality it deserves. I wish you the best, and that you keep up the fantastic work as always! Coderenius (talk) 00:53, 5 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

  • Hi and welcome again. I was wondering why you disappeared suddenly. It's clear now. Thank you very much for your nice words for me. Yes, supposed you have a relation to İznir area, I had recommended to upgrade İzmir article. Your command of English kanguage and your localization in the US, I guess, makes you the right one for that job. Surely, I'd help if I can. I wish you all the best. See you.
