Picture

edit

I have read these things about why this article failed to acheive GA status, and have come to the conclusion that the picture is a major reason why it has failed. Right now, there is no picture so I am contacting Sara Paxton over her official Myspace account to ask for permission to upload one. Then I know it'll comply with the Fair Use Rationale. GA review

edit

I think there are problems at the moment with the lead section (should be a little bit longer and summarise more of the article's content) and 'Early life', which reads like a fan piece and is also in the present tense which can't be right if it's describing her early life. Otherwise it meets the criteria. Worldtraveller 23:32, 4 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

I'll remove it from the nominations for now to avoid cluttering it up. Feel free of course to renominate it when you feel it meets the criteria. Worldtraveller 00:09, 7 May 2006 (UTC)Reply
OK, I think I've fulfilled the requirements now. Mad Jack O'Lantern 00:01, 11 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

USC Application

edit

The article mentions that Sara Paxton applied to USC but was not accepted. This seems a bit anomalous, and calls for an explanation - can't just state this and leave it at that. There must be some reason for the USC decision. Also, most people apply to more than one program, so there must be more to say about all this.

Well, all the info we have is what's on the cited source for that bit. She says she wasn't accepted and leaves it at that, so we don't know anything else... Mad Jack 23:32, 10 July 2006 (UTC)Reply
Specifically all it says is: "her disappointment at not getting into USC's film program" Mad Jack 23:34, 10 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

I checked the USC web site at: USC CNTV It appears that to be admitted you need a creative portfolio (which she certainly has covered) and "a strong academic record", so it's likely that her marks were not up to scratch, possibly because she was so busy with acting and music. She does have the option of re-applying at any time, and could also take some of the courses while studying in a different program. User: JD_Fan

Good Article nomination has failed

edit

The Good article nomination for Sara Paxton has failed, for the following reason:

I have failed Sara Paxton's good article nomination on two grounds, one of which really spills into the other creating a third. First, there is not nearly enough content. An article with one section of text and some tables is not Good or Featured Article quality just because it is about a pretty lady. Second, the text that is there could probably use some heavier sourcing, certainly some sourcing on her CD release and hopefully move her IMDB page from an external link to ref'ing filmography info. See Diane Keaton for a truly fantabulous article on an actress. Staxringold 14:32, 16 May 2006 (UTC)Reply
And on further review, the images could use some better info. Staxringold 14:35, 16 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Failed "good article" nomination

edit

This article failed good article nomination. This is how the article, as of June 6, 2007, compares against the six good article criteria:

1. Well written?: Pass
2. Factually accurate?: Pass - excellent
3. Broad in coverage?: Pass
4. Neutral point of view?: Pass
5. Article stability? Pass
6. Images?: Fail Image:DWL.jpg needs a fair use rationale and Image:Photo06sarapaxton01.jpg needs a more detailed rationale.

When these issues are addressed, the article can be resubmitted for consideration. If you feel that this review is in error, feel free to take it to a GA review. Thank you for your work so far.

I think this picture stinks, it is boring, the same one over and over again!

Her mother

edit

Is her mother Ashkenazi or Sephardi?

There's something missing...

edit

I was watching the credits for the popular Nicktoon "SpongeBob SquarePants," and I 'm positive that Sara Paxton's name was on one of the credits for voice talents for the episode containing "Mid-Life Crusteacean". However, the credits went by so fast I couldn't tell which role she played. If anybody could find out what role she played, it should be added to her Career profile because it isn't there.

Eenyminy (talk) 20:06, 16 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

I believe that Sara was indeed credited on the programme, as several extras. I think her name has been down for various roles such as "Fish #1" and stuff like that, so it wasn't anything major, but it is relevant and if it's not already up I'll add it. 81.100.55.173 (talk) 15:18, 20 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Why is this a page?

edit

This page looks like her mom wrote it. She has a "mixed family" why is this important? She isn't famous and it seems unnecessary but hey you know whatever. I'll write one about my sister who is an extra in movies sometimes. No Offense —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.137.138.45 (talk) 17:49, 16 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
