Family life

I tried to post the following but that was immediately removed by a bot. If someone knows how to reference this properly, be my guest.

According to census documents (RG 15/652), where he is listed as an author/criminologist, Ives lived at 196 Adelaide Road, Hampstead, until his death. can't find a photo

The article's off to a fine start; thanks, Zefrog. I scoured the web for a photo but came up with nothing. I suspect there are probably several public domain images of Ives out there somewhere though. Thanks for you kind words. There may be a picture and more information (the article is written by Matt Cook who, I know, studied the Ives Papers) in the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography (link in the article) but you need a subscription to access it. --Zefrog 22:03, 24 February 2007 (UTC)

I have found a pic in a book. There are no credits for it in there and by the looks of the subject it should be well over 100 year old: ie in the Public Domain. --Zefrog 22:04, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

German-English?

The summary states he was German-English, but the main article states his father was English and his mother Spanish, albeit he was born in Germany. This needs clarification by someone (not me - I had never heard of him until I stumbled on this article).Newburyjohn (talk) 17:29, 4 November 2011 (UTC)

Burial

This article states He died in London but was buried with the village of Bentworth, Hampshire. However, it comes under discussion in the talk page of the Bentworth article (talk point headed Who Was Who) where a commenter points out that his entry in the ODNB states he was cremated at Golders Green Crematorium in London, without mentioning Bentworth. If there is evidence his ashes were subsequently buried in Bentworth, then citation should be added. (I have accordingly raised a citation need.) I see a picture of an inscribed slab but beware it could be a cenotaphic memorial, or merely covering the grave of an ashes casket rather than a full length coffin.Cloptonson (talk) 14:28, 18 November 2021 (UTC)
