Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Vusi Shongwe, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page IOL (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Image without license edit

Unspecified source/license for File:Bongani Bongo.jpeg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Bongani Bongo.jpeg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time after the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|cc-by-sa-4.0}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: Once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (TalkContribsOwner) 12:03, 24 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Bongani Bongo.jpeg edit

A tag has been placed on File:Bongani Bongo.jpeg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Wikipedia and copyright edit

Hello ZS Khumalo, and welcome to Wikipedia. While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are PD or compatibly licensed) it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions, the help desk or the Teahouse before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps in Wikipedia:Translation#How to translate. See also Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Hi, I saw on Commons that some of your pictures have been nominated for deletion. Please read this to help you. Thank you. LefcentrerightTalk (plz ping) 20:35, 24 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

June 2020 edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions; however, it appears you may have written a Wikipedia article about yourself. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – please see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to or change an existing article about yourself, you are welcome to propose the changes by visiting the article's talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was the page I created deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss this with the deleting administrator. Thank you. LefcentrerightDiscuss 20:39, 15 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

I strongly feel that it's unfair that the article be deleted, despite the person who posted it being myself but it was written by someone else with no Wikipedia account. As a keen contributor on Wikipedia I'm conscious of the guidelines and I have taken all within myself to respect and adhere to them.

Unless it's suggested that the writer of the article posts it himself directly than through, I feel is gravely unfair to nominate Zama Khumalo for deletion as he definely qualifies to be on Wikipedia. ZS Khumalo (talk) 22:24, 15 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

I still don't understand the reasons for which you content that Zama Khumalo should be deleted.

Clearly you are contradicting the purposes for which this online encyclopedia was created. It was created to supply knowledge and if you contend that such knowledge relating to the Westdene dam disaster should be deleted you are applying the worse form of censorship and biased information supply.

That would be so bad for Wikipedia to do, myself as one of the contributors of Wiki it will really disturb me as your reasons don't really make sense.

Pls don't delete the Zama Khumalo article, I'm begging you. Khumalo is one of the prominent South Africans and there are currently expansions being made on the Westdene dam disaster to reflect the supply of knowledge. ZS Khumalo (talk) 09:41, 16 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Tagging pages for speedy deletion edit

Hello, ZS Khumalo,

If you plan on doing more editing here, it would be worth your time to review Criteria for Speedy Deletion so you are aware of what the agreed-upon criteria for speedy deletion and what name spaces they apply to. You can't just put "Delete" without a criteria or using a reason that you made up yourself. You have to cite one of the valid criteria.

Tagging pages is made easier if you make use of Twinkle, a program for tagging articles and other pages. If you use this from the pull down menu at the top of the page and select CSD, it will show you the possible criteria and you can select which one(s) apply to the page that you are seeking to delete. It has a lot of other nice features you can discover should you decide to utilize this tool.

If you have questions about editing on Wikipedia or its deletion processes, please bring them to the Teahouse where you can receive advice and support from more experienced editors. Thank you! Liz Read! Talk! 04:38, 1 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Copyright Violation edit

Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Nothing Left to Steal edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Nothing Left to Steal requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://www.marymartin.com/web/viewbooks?bookId=165975. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
