That's a great idea. ayematthew 21:46, 17 December 2008 (UTC)

Bonez sounds like a much more respectable name to me at least. My curiosity brought me to IRC to ask a few people. All three users gave permission to log, although User:PeterSymonds was the only one who gave permission for his name published.
[aye-matthew]> Which sounds like a more respectable username...User:SRX or User:Bonez
<PeterSymonds> SRX
<User B> SRX
<User B>"Bonez" reminds me of boner
<[aye-matthew]> me too :)
<PeterSymonds> it just reminds me of "bones" in lolcat
<User C> I think SRX is supposed to remind you of SEX -> see keyboard :P

Thanks for your response to my FLC query. As suggested, I have added a column and expanded the content a bit. I have listed this for peer review and would welcome any further suggestions you may have. Many thanks, Rambo's Revenge (talk) 15:39, 18 December 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for your comments. Could you expand on your second point please as I didn't quite understand what you meant. Rambo's Revenge (talk) 22:52, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
Could you have a final look, and see if IYO it has been expanded enough to be a FL. If you still think it is too short just say, as I realise that not everything can have a shiny gold star. Many thanks, Rambo's Revenge (talk) 12:03, 20 December 2008 (UTC)

Turning Point Thoughts?

Hey SRX, just wanted to ask your opinion on this because you're experienced with featured lists. I'm working on TNA Turning Point and once I get all the uncreated content out of there, thinking about a featured list. I'm a little worried about it being too short, however. Would you mind taking a look at it and letting me know? If it's not too short, can you look at the list section (the uncreated events will be moved) and let me know how it looks? Thanks. Cheers, DoomsDay 00:59, 19 December 2008 (UTC)

I thought as much. Will had an idea to convert it to article form and bring it to GA through that method, do you think that's a viable idea? I believe he's done the same thing with Bound for Glory. Cheers, DoomsDay 01:15, 19 December 2008 (UTC)
Yeah. With a minimum of ten items needed, though, it'll be a good 5 years before we hit that point. Assuming TNA survives that long, at any rate. I'll probably convert it into article form eventually then. Cheers, DoomsDay 01:27, 19 December 2008 (UTC)

Nice. Man, is 2007 the only year in which all the PPV's are completed [GAs]? I'm using the example from the lead for JD, as you requested, but I'm having a hard time with it. This is what I get so far:

The show's seven matches showcased prominent WWE wrestlers, who acted out the franchise's stories in and out of the ring. The main event featured Raw wrestlers in a Steel Cage, a ring surrounded by four walls of mesh metal. In this match, WWE Champion Triple H defeated Randy Orton to retain his title. In SmackDown's main match, The Undertaker defeated Edge by countout, but did not win the vacant World Heavyweight Championship because in WWE, a championship cannot change hands via count-out or disqualification, as a result, the title became vacant. While in ECW's prime match, WWE Tag Team Champions John Morrison and The Miz defeated Kane and CM Punk to retain the titles. Featured matches on the undercard included Shawn Michaels versus Chris Jericho and John Cena versus John "Bradshaw" Layfield (JBL).

--  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 00:44, 22 December 2008 (UTC)

Alright, I removed what you said, but I'm having a hard time with the info. about HBK/Jericho and Cena/JBL; They were both singles matches and from the same brand and stuff. --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 00:57, 22 December 2008 (UTC)
I know. But the PPV style seems to change, a lot, leading to me to have a hard time to follow the style and comprehend it with the articles. That's why, I come to you with questions/concerns. ;) --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 01:58, 22 December 2008 (UTC)
Yup yup. ;) Alright, I'll add your suggestion about the matches being standard or something. --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 02:19, 22 December 2008 (UTC)

Alright, I think I got it. --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 19:26, 22 December 2008 (UTC)

WikiCup notice

The 2009 WikiCup will begin on January 1, 2009. The first round will run through March 31, 2009. For more information on this tournament, read the "about" section on the main WikiCup page.

This year, we have a different system in calculating points. At User:Garden/WikiCup/Submissions, you will find information about submitting your article (and other) work to earn points. Each contestant will have their own individual subpage for submitting completed work to us.

This year, User:ST47 will also be running one of his bots to calculate mainspace edits and read your submission subpages to calculate the point values you receive based on our scoring chart.

Hey

It's been good. Been editing a lot more on Wikipedia than just reggaeton, but still contributing. Yes it is a diappointment how the project went down. I never knew why tho lol. I don't think I've seen your edits on any reggaeton-related article in a while, or maybe I haven't noticed? El cangri386 Sign! or Talk 01:25, 24 December 2008 (UTC)

Well I've been one of three editors (the others being Vercetticarl and ify4) who are still active in the project. I'm the only one who's still contributing to albums and songs relating to reggaeton the most (see my contributions). Speaking of the Jowell & Randy article, I'm updating the page right now since it's been a big mess for a while. That's the thing I'm avoiding the most on here, is having unorganized information on reggaeton articles. El cangri386 Sign! or Talk 01:48, 24 December 2008 (UTC)
I just got done editing it, and added an image of the duo. BTW, I've seen your user page once before, and I kinda stole your navbar idea from there (as you can see on my user page lol). El cangri386 Sign! or Talk 02:16, 24 December 2008 (UTC)
lol I've had that for months. I don't even know if people actually use it tho. BTW I just put the finishing touches on that Jowell & Randy page. That was a huge mess going on. El cangri386 Sign! or Talk 03:10, 24 December 2008 (UTC)
Then how do I get an image on the Jowell & Randy article? To be honest I'm so used to uploading images of albums covers I don't really upload photos of music artists. I got that image from Last.fm. Think you can help me out with that? El cangri386 Sign! or Talk 03:23, 24 December 2008 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Featured list candidates/backlog/items

Hi SRX, thanks for adding FLCs to the backlog, but only FLCs that have been running for more than ten days should be on the list. FLCs such as Wikipedia:Featured list candidates/List of number-one Billboard Top Latin Albums of 2008, Wikipedia:Featured list candidates/NBA All-Star Weekend Three-Point Shootout, and Wikipedia:Featured list candidates/List of Texas Aggie terms (that's not all of them) have been nominated less than ten days ago, so they should not be on the backlog list. Partnership

Seeing that you are also in the wikicup you are probably thinking of a way to get points. If you feel up to it, we can work together and get List of NWA World Heavyweight Champions and List of NWA World Tag Team Champions to FL? Seeing you are more experienced with FLC than I am, also the fact that I'll go insane trying to find enough sources for the lists, I thought to ask you if you wanted to work together?--WillC 03:09, 29 December 2008 (UTC)

Right now those are the only others one I haven't already started on. There is List of TNA X Division Champions which will not be hard as well as List of World Tag Team Champions in TNA and List of World Heavyweight Champions in TNA. Soon There will be over ten tag teams that have held the TNA World Tag Team Championship and it will be eligible. Consequences Creed and Jay Lethal just won the belt. I assume that they'll lose it to The Motor City Machineguns because of the angle they are in right now. That will make nine when The Machineguns win it. There is also the addition of a reign for Kaz and Eric Young who were striped of the belt though TNA does not say they were champions in the first place. Probably by the end of January it will be long enough. I see a few title changes real soon with it. I've started on the first three I mentioned already.--WillC 03:22, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
I can source all the NWA Tag Champions in TNA stuff and get that part of the table fixed in about a day (the table fix will take an hour). The rest of it is a little harder for me because I don't know where to find the sources. If you are willing to take care of the rest and I'll handle from TNA up, that is fine with me.--WillC 03:29, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
Yes they were, but I still don't know what sites are trusted and which are not, that is where you come in. I'll source the TNA section mainly with results of events and the NWA history or TNA history on their website if I can find it since the link has been removed.--WillC 03:38, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
I know that, that is what I was going to do.--WillC 03:43, 29 December 2008 (UTC)

Divas Title

Reading that makes it clear to me that (besides the fact that there was not a consensus about this particular issue) is that the other editor was referring to normal referee (i.e. Mickie Henson, Earl Hebner, etc.), special guest referee is just as notable as what type of match it was or the event it happened at. Considering they became featured list WITH the info, I think it should be put back in. Especially since the other title pages have gotten praise and they include this relevant info. TJ Spyke 01:24, 30 December 2008 (UTC)

Not relevent? What about Bret Hart's title win over The Undertaker at SummerSlam 1997? Shawn Michaels (who was the guest ref) was the biggest factor in the match since him accidentally hitting Undertaker with a chair led to Hart winning the match and the title. Mike Tyson was also a factor in Austin winning the title at WrestleMania XIV. As for who made the comment, it still seems to me that they were talking about normal refs and not guest refs. As for match types, how could the match type not be important? TJ Spyke 01:35, 30 December 2008 (UTC)
Please see my talk page, I talked with the FL director. He said he thinks guest refs should be noted when they affect the outcome of the match (like with SS 97, but I guess Maria can be removed), but he also says the match type SHOULD be noted (not just when it's important, ALL match types). Yeah, I was thinking of something like that, but didn't sound right [in my mind]. Hey, would there be a problem if I submit to DYK? like right now, even though the article was created like 3 years ago, and was worked on, 3 years ago, but fixed now.? --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 22:08, 9 January 2009 (UTC)
No, I mean like would it be a problem if I submitted the article, per this criteria ---> "The new article should be no more than five days old and the expanded article should be expanded at least fivefold with new text within the last five days", since the article was created 3 years ago. --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 22:30, 9 January 2009 (UTC)

Full thanks

SRX/Truco I want to give my full thanks to everything you did for Lockdown (2008) over these past few months. From leaving comments for both of its peer reviews and for its FAC reviews. Leaving advice on how I could improve it. Though we've butted heads, I want to say thank you very much for the help. It is an FA today and I believe you were one of the main users who helped get it there.--WillC 02:53, 4 January 2009 (UTC)

Well if you want you can use this:

I'm glad it is the first TNA FA. Considering its buyrate, it is the second highest bought event for TNA, the first being Final Resolution 06 with 70,000, because of Sting's return to mainstream wrestling. Lockdown was the first 2008 PPV GA and the first 2008 PPV FA, as well as TNA's first PPV GA and FA.--WillC 03:15, 4 January 2009 (UTC)

Okay, yeah I agree, it is very deserving. Thanks, that means alot.--WillC 03:26, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
I'll remember them, but my next FAC is going to be different. I have a plan with BFG IV.--WillC 03:31, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
Whats your's? Take a look at my idea for BFG IV.--WillC 03:36, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
The history section idea is mainly there to show the reason of the event. When you read an article such as WrestleMania 24 you don't know why it is so important. The history section will be a paragraph long just giving an introduction of why this event is significant. It is something I just want to try and see what people think. Well WrestleMania I think would be useful to take. I think it should be writting like TNA Bound for Glory though, to seem like a true article. Plus it would be nice to make a Good Topic out of all the Wrestlemania considering how many are left to make GAs. GaryColeFan is working on all the early WWE events. He'll have WrestleMania 8 done soon. That will only lack a few left, around 10. Bad Blood I don't think is really needed as an FA unless you are planing something. Survivor Series has been at FAC a few times, that would be nice to take so that it finally passes.--WillC 03:49, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
I thought Survivor Series already went to FA at least once. I might be wrong. I would take WrestleMania 20, since it could become the featured article on Benoit's birthday or the day he died. Plus then No Way Out and WrestleMania side by side are FA.--WillC 04:00, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
My bad. It is a shame Eddie only won one world title, plus JBL being the one to end it was not right. It would be nice if it is the featured article of the day on Feb 12.--WillC 04:09, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, it is sad two of the best wrestlers are dead: Eddie and Benoit.--WillC 04:36, 4 January 2009 (UTC)

Regarding the WCW World Tag Team Championship

Until 1975, Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling, the predecessor of World Championship Wrestling, didn't recognize its own tag team champions, as there was no title to award its division at the time. The NWA, of which Mid-Atlantic was a part of, also hadn't formally recognized a tag team championship of its own that would be above any territorial title either. Because of this, other promotions that conformed the NWA took the liberty of recognizing their tag team titles to bear the name of NWA World Tag Team Championship, which resulted in there being multiple tag team titles within the NWA which bore the name, NWA World Tag Team Championship, in their promotions. Mid-Atlantic soon followed suit and established their tag team prize as the NWA World Tag Team Championship as well. This NWA tag title continued to be defended even as Mid-Atlantic's parent company, Jim Crockett Promotions, became World Championship Wrestling. It wasn't until WCW's split from the NWA in 1991 that the title would be renamed the WCW World Tag Team Championship. The title was nothing more than renamed and essentially remained the same title. Even as now separate entities, the NWA and WCW renegotiated and maintained a close relationship as evident by the recognition of Ric Flair as World Champion of both entities. It wasn't until 1992 that the NWA formally recognized the NWA World Tag Team Championship that would be above any territorial prize, next to the NWA World Heavyweight Championship itself. The tournament for this NWA World Tag Team Championship, of which the WCW World Tag Team Champions were also part of, was won by the WCW World Tag Team Champions themselves and as a result, the WCW World Tag Team Champions, Terry Gordy and Steve Williams, also became holders of the NWA's first non-territorial tag team title known as the NWA World Tag Team Championship. They continued to defend both titles simultaneously until 1993 when the NWA and WCW ended all relationships and the NWA World Tag Team Championship was vacated as a result.

It is because of this that your statement... "WCW was using the NWA World Tag Team Titles but they returned it and created a new title, and the champions from the NWA title were named the new WCW tag champions." ...is incorrect.

For you see, the NWA World Tag Team Championship you see today next to the NWA World Heavyweight Championship was not created until a year after WCW split from the NWA in 1991. On January 17 2008, the NWA retconned its World Tag Team Championship's reign history and removed the reigns of those held during the time the WCW and NWA World Tag Team Championships were simultaneously defended. However because it was retconned, it is still recognized by Wikipedia nonetheless, however, also making note of the NWA's new stance on its Championship's history.

It is also because of this that your statement in the edit summary left here... "That's because the reigns within those sections were only recognized by those promotions." ...is incorrect as well.

The NWA didn't recognize ANY NWA World Tag Team Championship until 1992. It was Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling that did and it was the NWA World Tag Team Championship of Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling that became the WCW World Tag Team Championship. Thus separating these reigns for your reason would be inaccurate. Also these reigns were also recognized while the WCW World Tag Team Championship was in the WWF. Thus separating those reigns would be inaccurate as well.--UnquestionableTruth-- 08:27, 8 January 2009 (UTC)

Truco what you are citing is a source that follows retconned history. [1] There were numerous tag titles in the promotions that conformed the NWA that bore the name of NWA World Tag Team Championship. Mid Atlantic was no exception. The NWA World Tag Team Championship of Mid Atlantic has no connection to the NWA's main NWA World Tag Team Championship as a result. If you feel it is necessary, we should file an RfM.--UnquestionableTruth-- 02:42, 9 January 2009 (UTC)
In regards to the merging of the WCW/WWF reign history list, I am willing to comply per WWF ownership of WCW.--UnquestionableTruth-- 05:15, 9 January 2009 (UTC)

I don't want anything to do with that project, ever again...sorry. iMatthew // talk // 11:00, 9 January 2009 (UTC)

TNA Title

Hopefully this response will help: [2] Anymore questions, I probably know everything about the history of that belt.--WillC 05:47, 10 January 2009 (UTC)

Champions

Want me to go ahead and move it: User:Wrestlinglover/List of TNA World Heavyweight Champions?--WillC 20:03, 10 January 2009 (UTC)

Lets not copy and paste here though. Why don't we let Truco make the changes to the page, and we'll make the corrections. --UnquestionableTruth-- 20:05, 10 January 2009 (UTC)
Nice work on the List of TNA Champions.--WillC 01:27, 11 January 2009 (UTC)
I haven't done crap. The only thing I did was sort the table and add a few refs. Bullet did everything else. He wanted to do it so I just let him.--WillC 01:54, 11 January 2009 (UTC)
I'll do it probably. I want to make a GT of all the TNA Titles: Legends, Knockouts, Tag, X, and Heavyweight. It would be a start.--WillC 02:00, 11 January 2009 (UTC)
Thanks, I started the movement for the TNA PPVs. I might as well get as much as I can before I leave done.--WillC 02:04, 11 January 2009 (UTC)
Wikipedia.--WillC 02:18, 11 January 2009 (UTC)
I'm not sure if you've read my user page or not, but I'm home schooled. It has been that way since 2002. I missed my last year of elementary school and all the way up to half of my junior year. I must go back this year. I plan on that very soon. I've been home so much that I'm sick of it. I'm on here all the time as a result. I live in a town of 700 with no one my age that is around. I have no license or job. I'm getting the license next month. I'm getting a job in August. I'll be 18 then and starting my last year of high school. I plan to go back before March. When that happens I'm going to get a steady girlfriend unlike the ones I've had before. I will refuse to stay home and I will be out somewhere. No matter where it is. I've missed so much time that I must somehow make it up. I doubt I'll have much time to be online. I might be on to write the 2009 TNA PPVs. But I'll probably be more like DMN today or Mshake3. Later in 09 I'll have a good chance of being like Hybrid. I doubt I'll leave it fully until 2010 but I just will not be on much later this year.--WillC 02:26, 11 January 2009 (UTC)
Why, if you don't mind me asking?--WillC 02:36, 11 January 2009 (UTC)
Where you plan on going?--WillC 02:49, 11 January 2009 (UTC)
I'm guessing you plan to work for the government in a way or be freelance?--WillC 02:52, 11 January 2009 (UTC)
Okay, good luck with that. If I were you I would try to work for one of the bigger government agencies: FBI, CIA, NCIS, etc.--WillC 03:03, 11 January 2009 (UTC)
Well, alright, lets see how long it is till the ips and users start bitching about the TNA Article (s). So far only one person has had a problem with it.--WillC 03:13, 11 January 2009 (UTC)

Friends

Hey mind I add you to me friends list? Kalajan 23:10, 10 January 2009 (UTC)

PR request

Artist Formerly Known as SRX, I have a favor to ask of you. I'm planning to take the plunge and nominate Super Bowl Most Valuable Player Award at FLC imminently, but I've taken it to peer review first. If I'm going to nominate it, the page needs to be at the highest level possible, considering that the game is upcoming soon. This is a page that will attract editors, but I don't think it will be overwhelming if the quality level is high enough. If you have time, could you please stop by the PR and offer some thoughts? Thanks for any advice you can provide. Giants2008 (17-14) 05:05, 11 January 2009 (UTC)

Your accusation

I take offense to your accusation of "drama and immaturity". The discussion at WT:PW was not productive, as you refused to accept any viewpoints other than your own. People made their points and then you came along and told them they were wrong. I simply said that there were better things to do than argue about an article's title. I don't see that as either dramatic or immature. GaryColemanFan (talk) 04:33, 12 January 2009 (UTC)

Thank you for your reply. I can see where we each got frustrated with each other. I will renew my efforts to avoid controversial discussions, as very little good tends to come of it. I agree that it's best that we both get back to editing; you've been doing a great job, and I've found something to do within the project that I enjoy. Hope things are going well for you. GaryColemanFan (talk) 21:57, 12 January 2009 (UTC)
I just didn't feel like I wanted to be a member of a project. My interest in Wikipedia is still editing wrestling articles, though, as I find it a pleasant diversion from work. I don't have any hard feelings toward the project, and I still want to do what I can to help make it stronger. GaryColemanFan (talk) 00:59, 13 January 2009 (UTC)

*Sigh*

I noticed your sig had templates in it. This is not allowed per WP:SIG. Templates can be vandalized. For example, if an IP who did not like the user Example and wrote in the template, "User:Example IS A ****ING RETARD" and Saved it, you would not notice. And when you sign, it will appear. This will get you into trouble, and when you explain that an IP vandalized the template, you will get in more trouble, cause templates are not allowed. Please, change your sig, because I don't want to see a user as amazing as you get blocked for a silly litttle thing like a sig. Thanks. imonKSK 22:58, 12 January 2009 (UTC)

No problem. imonKSK 23:10, 12 January 2009 (UTC)

  • This is completely incorrect. Truco substitutes his signature which is perfectly acceptable. iMatthew // talk // 23:11, 12 January 2009 (UTC)
    • Oh, I see what you meant. Chances are it would be immediately reverted. It's fine. iMatthew // talk // 23:13, 12 January 2009 (UTC)
Yes, but sometimes vandalism won't be noticed. Just in case, it's better if he does the font tags. It only increases the sig character count a little. imonKSK 23:16, 12 January 2009 (UTC)
It most certainly will be noticed. iMatthew // talk // 23:17, 12 January 2009 (UTC)
Yes, it will for a short period of time. The last time the templates in his sig got busted up, his sig looked horrible. The same can be done with vandalism. But, it does not matter anymore. His sig is fine now. Let it be. imonKSK 23:20, 12 January 2009 (UTC)

Rename

The bureaucrat who dealt with your rename confirmed he's been asking the developers about your problem but had not yet received any response (checm my talk page). Unfortunately there's not much any of us can do since it is something only the developers can deal with and they do tend to be a busy bunch. Your problem is somewhat different from that of Dasani which could be fixed by any admin. Nil Einne (talk) 09:56, 14 January 2009 (UTC)

RE:WCW HOF

I looked it over and didn't see any problems. Great job! Nikki311 02:15, 15 January 2009 (UTC)

ECW Television Championship

I see you've dealt with this before. List of ECW Television champions needs to be moved back to List of ECW Television Champions as well. --UnquestionableTruth-- 03:02, 15 January 2009 (UTC)

Great. Thanks for letting Nikki know. I'll get to archiving my talk page soon. Thank you though. --UnquestionableTruth-- 04:24, 15 January 2009 (UTC)
