Arnold II von Isenburg moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Arnold II von Isenburg, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. ~ Amkgp 💬 18:31, 14 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of List of Sealand nobles

edit

The article List of Sealand nobles has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Your reverted edit on Stop the Steal

edit

Your edit on the Stop the Steal article was reverted because it goes against WP:UNDUE. Wikipedia is only as fair to opposing view points as reliable sources cover them, and your contribution gives massive undue weight to WP:FRINGE theories. I recommend you familiarize yourself with the linked policies, as well as Wikipedia's Perennial Reliable Sources, and in particular in relation to YouTube Videos, which are not generally accepted as reliable sources as they are not verifiable and are largely anonymously published, before contributing further to this subject; political articles in general are very stingent about reliability of sourcing. Any questions can be brought to myself or any other editor. This is not an official warning, just a note about why your edit was reversed, so you aren't left confused. List of nobles and magnates of France in the 13th century

edit

Hi — I noticed you moved List of nobles and magnates of France in the 13th century into the main space past the AfC process (but didn't clean up, so it still sits in the queue), with the comment that it "provides basic info". Yes, it does, but do you think it's otherwise ready for publication? And more specifically, do you plan to add references? Thanks, --DoubleGrazing (talk) 16:12, 10 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hello, references for a list are not essential for Wikipedia as far as I'm aware, however at some point I probably will add references to provide more contextual information for the list. I'd say there are parts of it more or less which are ready and other parts need work but its better if more people can read and add to it because I don't necessarily have the time to do the entire thing myself. --Tgec17 (talk) 18:15, 10 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

so basically no improvement since I sent it to draft last month. We don’t host unsourced material in mainspace, and sources are fundamental for an encyclopaedia article, not just something you might get around to eventually. You don’t need a separate source for every item on a list, but you do need sources to show that that there is some authority for the list as a whole and it’s not just a piece of original research by you. Mccapra (talk) 18:32, 10 September 2021 (UTC)eReply
as far as I'm aware Wikipedia lists don't need sources because they are just lists. But I added a source for Mccapra's sake. --Tgec17 (talk) 20:34, 10 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
Well that’s great! Thank you! Except a. Lists do need sources and b. The source you added doesn’t support the article (it’s about Scotland, not France). You’ve clearly done a lot of work on this article and including sources is just “showing your working”. As things stand, we only have your word for it that the nobles and magnates included in your list properly belong there. Do yi7 see the problem? Mccapra (talk) 20:57, 10 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
if you look at the source it does support the article in supporting Philip Augustus's styles as king. I'm currently working on the article as we speak, perhaps you should join. After reviewing the guidelines I see that the lead does need to be sited and I will do this soon but it requires more effort then just getting the list done which is currently my priority. --Tgec17 (talk) 21:04, 10 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

James de Chudleigh moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, James de Chudleigh, is not suitable as written to remain published. While it appears to be notable, it needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. There are large sections which are wholly uncited. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. I did this rather than removing the uncited material in the article, which I felt would be more disruptive. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask on my talk page. When you have the required sourcing (and every assertion needs a source), and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Or feel free to ping me to take another look.Onel5969 TT me 14:20, 24 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Nobility of Castile?

edit

Hi! Re the message above: what makes you think that this might be a reliable source? There's no author, publisher or ISBN number, and it looks like either someone's self-published WP:OR, or else somebody's translation of an authentic Spanish-language source. Can you show otherwise (happy to be shown I'm wrong – again!)? Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 21:11, 26 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Because it cites primary sources consistently for every entry and even has the quotations in it. Tgec17 (talk) 21:15, 26 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Alvaro Diaz (nobleman)

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Alvaro Diaz (nobleman) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Liz Read!   Please do not attack other editors, as you did at User_talk:Liz. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. General Ization Talk 04:51, 27 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Comments like these are completely unacceptable here. Please read WP:CIVIL and WP:NPA. General Ization Talk 04:53, 27 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
No personal attack was made. It is a productive piece of feedback for that user who had received much similar feedback but seems to refuse to accept it and is in denial. You have absolutely no business commenting on my page because you are not even related to it at all, I wonder what your problem is. --Tgec17 (talk) 05:25, 27 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
Referring to "the arrogance and the ignorance of people like you" with regard to another editor is a personal attack. If you do not understand or acknowledge it as such, then it seems that we have a larger problem to address. General Ization Talk 05:30, 27 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Its not a personal attack its an accurate description --Tgec17 (talk) 06:36, 27 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

You are not welcome to post on my talk page any longer if you are going to be insulting. And, at least two other administrators agreed with me with one of your articles being speedy deleted and the other being nominated for deletion at AFD. So, maybe you have an incorrect understanding of notability on Wikipedia and the reliable sourcing necessary to verify this notability. I see you are relatively inexperienced at editing so maybe you should review the relevant Wikipedia policy pages including the one on "no personal attacks". Thank you. Liz

Read! Talk! 19:30, 27 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

You are certainly not welcome on my talk page either. Those articles are notable and they will be going back up with citations to the primary sources which they are in. I have plenty of experience as an editor on Wikipedia with over 30 articles. You seem like the only thing you do is try to take other peoples articles down. I honestly think that you would be better served creating your own articles or perhaps giving up this hobby because you are not helping anyone and you only cause problems. --Tgec17 (talk) 21:16, 27 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Warning

edit

Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. --Kansas Bear (talk) 04:44, 28 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
