My EliveLinux article edit

Hello all, My article is moved, according your comment due to: "it needs more citations from reliable, independent sources" but I am at a loss what you mean by that. The majority of references I've added are acknowledged sources for coverage on Linux in general. I don't see other Linux Distribution articles with any different reference sources and wouldn't know what other kind to add.

I'm not surprised by comments on lay-out and/or style and won't mind correcting them but this notability issue strikes me as very hard to see to. Quite interested on how you see this....maybe I'm just looking in a wrong direction. Thanks in advance. Triantares (talk) 17:30, 12 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Triantares: Hi, The article does not cite properly, you have added a list of references but not cited it. This to information needs to be verified; otherwise, Wikipedia will just be full of spam.

If you need help with referencing, please see Referencing tutorial and Citing sources. EditQwerty (talk) 18:26, 12 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

@EditQwerty: Thank you, that does make sense. Albeit it's not easy to find points in the text with which to reference considering it's shortness. My only goal was to make sure EliveLinux continues it's presence among all the other Linux distributions out there. Thanks very much for taking the trouble to clarify. Triantares (talk) 09:27, 13 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Triantares: The article looks much better now; feel free to ask on my talk page if you need any other help. EditQwerty (talk) 17:44, 13 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

@EditQwerty: Thanks for the changes, although I thought at first I'd accidentally deleted stuff. It did cripple some sentences horribly and had me searching for solutions though :) In some parts I wasn't even aware it was promotional or opinionated but merely showcasing differentations. The DVD/USB port was a nice one .... they're definitely required hardware. :D Thanks again for the trouble. Triantares (talk) 22:46, 13 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Triantares: Thanks! Have a good day. EditQwerty (talk) 08:45, 14 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

@EditQwerty: Thanks for all the trouble you're taking on my submission but your (and maybe others) suspicion of multiple accounts or joint collaboration strike me as a bit "over the top". Expecting a submitter to keep an eye on his/her article is one thing but accountability of changes done by others is quite another IMO. Wouldn't that even be contrary to the fundamental ideas with which Wikipedia was created?

I'm aware (and grateful) that your remarks are well meant advice and don't necessarily mean they're your personal opinion but do get the impression that some general policing guidelines on new submissions are unproductive i.e throwing out the child with the bathwater. :D

Personally I'm surprised at how much stamina it requires to even get an article accepted, especially when comparing to other already published articles on similar subjects.

Maybe this is an issue that has already been chewed to the bone elsewhere on Wikipedia and this isn't the place to bring it up. If so I'd be quite interested to read up on what has been discussed on the matter. My apologies for taking up so much of your time.

Triantares (talk) 07:00, 15 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Triantares: Some topics don't meet the notability guideline. They must have some press coverage. EditQwerty (talk) 10:33, 15 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Solhanspor edit

Solhanspor is a volleyball team. I added resources. No need to delete. Volleyball team is playing at the highest level in Turkey.Maradurio (talk) 09:18, 16 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Maradurio: The article has been moved to draftspace: the draft won't be deleted, however, the cross redirect will be. EditQwerty (talk) 09:23, 16 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

There is no such orientation in other sports clubs. The Solhanspor page must be in its old state. Maradurio (talk) 09:31, 16 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Maradurio: it was moved because it doesn't have enough citations when you have finished working on it, please hit the submit button. EditQwerty (talk) 09:39, 16 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Can you please take a look! [1] You cannot delete a club page -- EditQwerty 46.155.92.59 (talk) 15:18, 2 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

Lampard sacking edit

have a look at this. REDMAN 2019 (talk) 11:36, 25 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

@REDMAN 2019:I know, that's an official source from the website. Don't add gossip unless it has been confirmed by the club. EditQwerty (talk) 11:41, 25 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

It has been confirmed by the club as shown above. REDMAN 2019 (talk) 11:43, 25 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

@REDMAN 2019:It does not say anything about Thomas. EditQwerty (talk) 11:45, 25 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Then why are you reverting on Lampard's page? REDMAN 2019 (talk) 11:45, 25 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Editing edit

Hi, not to sound rude, but why did you remove my edit on Tom Holland's page? He literrally posted on his official Instagram page and confirmed his relationship with Zendaya. What more prove do you want? I put an official source and its unfair to remove my edit when he put it himself.

User: FriendsFan8 Talk: September 1st 2021 (Talk)

@FriendsFan8: Hi, Instagram is not an official source. I see that you have been trying to add this for months now, while it is probably true it has not been confirmed by reliable sources. I suggest you read the information on user generated content for more info. Have a good day. EditQwerty (talk) 18:05, 4 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hi EditQwety, please tell me what is a reliable source. Surely Daily Mail and the Mirror are reliable sources or similar.

@FriendsFan8: Daily Mail and Daily Mirror are tabloid sources, which are considered to be questionable. You can see a list on good and bad sources here. EditQwerty (talk) 13:43, 5 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
