Disambiguation link notification for December 4 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Minna, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Apostolic Church. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:00, 4 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Ibrahim Ahmad Maqari edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Ibrahim Ahmad Maqari requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://sheikhmaqary.com.ng/biography. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Kavyansh.Singh (talk) 16:40, 1 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hello, Kavyansh.Singh I have fixed some problems about the copyright infringement. Salihu Aliyu (talk) 21:12, 1 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
Nice to see that. Since now copyvio reports around 20-22% copyvio [1], I have removed the speedy deletion tag. Though I should note that I think that the topic is not notable, the sources does not give me confidence; ... I think I'll take it to AfD. – Kavyansh.Singh (talk) 21:21, 1 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Ahmad Sulaiman Ibrahim edit

The article Ahmad Sulaiman Ibrahim has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Struggles to meet criteria for notability

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 09:00, 23 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Dawakin Tofa Science College edit

Hello. Your recent edit to Dawakin Tofa Science College appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Hello, Vanderwaalforces I have added more sources to establish the notability of Alhaji Ahmad Garba Gunna on the English Wikipedia. I would like to draw your attention to the fact that I have written his biography and he is indeed a notable figure. During his coronation, almost all media stations in Nigeria covered the event, and even the president congratulated him. Prior to becoming the Emir of Kagara, he served as the acting chairman of the Niger State Revenue Service Board. Please, when you have time, go to one of the sources that I have added and read it thoroughly. I hope you will now review the article on English Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions.

This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ibrahim Ahmad Maqari. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Hello, Vanderwaalforces. Good day! I hope you are doing well and that everything is good. I would like to bring your attention to the notability of this person, as she have participated in numerous Quranic competitions across the country, in different states nationally, and over the years. I have also included verified citations from both national and international sources. By doing so, I believe the person is highly notable. Moreover, it's worth considering that the article covers only 15% of the history of women on Wikipedia.
Please accept my apologies for the delayed response, I was occupied with other matters for a while
Thank you 💕 S Ahmad Fulani 15:48, 18 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Salihu Aliyu You appear to have not read why this article was draftified. This subject is not "highly notable", and for someone to be "highly notable" their plenty appearances in multiple independent sources would prove it. I could consider this draft but you have to properly reference the sources, each statement should be backed up by the corresponding sources that supports or that one can verify that statement from. All statements. Vanderwaalforces (talk) 16:07, 18 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
