Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Western Telematic Inc edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Western Telematic Inc requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.wti.com/pages/our-history. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.   Your edit to Draft:Thomas J. Nasca has been removed in whole or in part, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. If you are the copyright holder, please read Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for more information on uploading your material to Wikipedia. December 2020 edit

Hello RBTWI19-620827. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:RBTWI19-620827. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=RBTWI19-620827|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. —moonythedwarf (Braden N.) 01:43, 2 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hello. For most of my articles I am not paid I just see something I feel would make a good article and then do my best to make it happen because I have a lot of spare time now in retirement and I just enjoy doing this kind of work. For articles that I have a conflict of interest what should I do? Is getting paid to make articles not allowed or is just frowned upon unless I add that tag you sent me? I added three tags to my profile to show I had been paid by those. I hope this is okay. Let me know if I need to do anything else.--RBTWI19-620827 (talk) 20:21, 8 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Catherine Heald edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Catherine Heald requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Catherine Heald. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Catherine Heald. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Contest this speedy deletion, which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article.   Hi. Welcome to Wikipedia, and thanks for working to improve the site with your edit to Heather Kozar, as we really appreciate your participation. However, the edit had to be reverted, because Wikipedia cannot accept uncited material. Inappropriate editing edit

As seen from the notices here, several of your article creations were inappropriate and had to be deleted as promotional. Before you continue to edit, please carefully review what we mean by neutrality and ensure that you are following it. In addition, as a paid editor, you will need to follow the conflict of interest guidelines on any article for which you are being compensated to edit. Chiefly, this means you must not edit mainspace articles or move or create such articles in mainspace, which you have been doing both of. For existing mainspace articles, suggest your edit on the talk page, then place {{request edit}} on the talk page so an editor without a conflict of interest can review it. Similarly, if the article does not yet exist, create the article as a draft, but do not move it to mainspace yourself. Instead, request review by articles for creation. Please let me know if you have any questions regarding these requirements. Seraphimblade Talk to me 05:21, 28 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Please see Help:Maintenance template removal for further information on when maintenance templates should or should not be removed. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. The article in question was tagged for using primary sources, needing additional citations, and failing to establish notability. By adding one offline source, cited against an uncontroversial statement that already had three existing citations, is NOT enough to fix those problems. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 06:33, 28 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

  • State clearly how you are being compensated for your edits, and describe any affiliation or conflict of interest you might have with the subjects you have written about.
