Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to List of programmes broadcast by CITV may have broken the syntax by modifying 2 "[]"s and 2 "{}"s likely mistaking one for another. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Unsourced content edit

Hi there, I've noticed that you've added a lot of content at List of Beano comic strips, for example in these edits, but you haven't provided any sources. I also notice that you've been asked a couple of times to submit sources. Wikipedia really stresses verifiability. If you are not adding sources, you are not helping to strengthen the reliability and quality of our articles, as people tend to look at content on Wikipedia with great skepticism. Unreferenced content can and will be removed, which is just a waste of time for you. To learn how to add references, see the video at Referencing for Beginners. It's pretty simple because there's a built-in tool to make it easy. Thanks, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 17:46, 14 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

Episode section headers edit

Hi there, with regard to this edit at List of Sanjay and Craig episodes, a quick note: We don't use "Present" in section headers, we use year ranges, and we only use ranges when episodes have aired in that later year. So if episodes had only aired in 2014 so far, we'd use Season 2 (2014). Since episodes have aired in 2015, I've changed it to Season 2 (2014–15) Information about this can be found at WP:TVUPCOMING. Thanks and good luck, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 14:09, 25 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

Copy/pasting or closely paraphrasing content edit

Hi there, with regard to this edit, we are not allowed to copy prose content like episode summaries from other sites, or even closely paraphrase them. WP:TVUPCOMING and WP:TVOVERVIEW edit

Hi there. You have twice added [1][2] a new section for season 2 of Clarence. Though I understand you meant well when you added it, it does not conform with WP:TVUPCOMING. I explained that the first time I moved it to the lead. We don't create new season sections until we have an episode table (with at least one sourced episode) to put in it. Until that happens, the S2 content goes in the lead. Additionally, we don't create a new section in the overview box until this episode table has been created. As a general editing tip, if you submit content then notice that it has disappeared, check the article's edit history by clicking "View history" at the top of the page. In this case, I was clear about why I moved the section, and included a link for your edification. If you are planning to contribute at Wikipedia, you need to familiarize yourself with the Manual of Style for Television. Since you seem to be piling up warnings lately, my other recommendation would be that you pay attention to the notes and quickly start adhering to them. You are probably about one lazy edit away from a block, which is avoidable. Good luck, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 15:19, 8 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

TV listings as references edit

Hi Beano, it's good that you're adding references, much appreciated, but when you add TV schedule listings as you've done here, they're not of much use in the long term. Air dates should always be verifiable, even after they air. These schedules tend to only have current content for a week or so. I'd recommend using archived versions from that week, if you can. You might try asking at WT:TV to see if anyone can point you in the right direction for this. Regards, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 21:06, 16 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. Sockpuppet investigation edit

Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Jonathon1111222333, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

Proposed deletion of Rank the Prank edit

The article Rank the Prank has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

WP:TOOSOON

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Wikipedia and copyright edit

Hello BeanoMaster, and welcome to Wikipedia. All or some of your addition(s) to So Awkward has had to be removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. However, there are steps that must be taken to verify that license before you do. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are public domain or compatibly licensed), it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at the help desk before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you can, but please follow the steps in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Geraldo Perez (talk) 17:31, 21 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

September 2016 edit

Welcome, and thank you for your attempt to lighten up Wikipedia. However, this is an encyclopedia and the articles are intended to be serious, so please don't make joke edits, as you did to The Next Step (2013 TV series). Readers looking for accurate information will not find them amusing. If you'd like to experiment with editing, please use the sandbox instead, where you are given a certain degree of freedom in what you write. I reverted because it seems likely that your substitution of mocumentry for docudrama was intended as a kind of a joke; if i am in error, can you verify the genre you wish to change the series to? Happy days, LindsayHello 12:02, 6 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

It wasn't a joke edit. Docudramas are "a dramatized television film based on real events." The Next Step is not one of these and therefore a mockumentary. BeanoMaster (talk) 20:07, 6 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

I'm fine if you disagree with me on this, but don't call it a joke edit. BeanoMaster (talk) 20:08, 6 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

No worries. I'm fine either way; i called it as i saw it, incorrectly, because it seems to me i've combatted some vandalism on this article previously, and this seemed reminiscent of that. I don't really agree that mockumentary would be correct, at that seems to imply satire or comedy or parody; would docufiction work? Happy days, LindsayHello 15:48, 9 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

I think Docufiction would be best. BeanoMaster (talk) 13:17, 10 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

Horrid Henry edit

Hi there, I've reverted this edit of yours because the claim of a S5 pickup is not supported by the reference you provided, this. If anything, it suggests that the series is over, since voice acting typically takes place early in animation production. If a major cast member is saying that she hasn't recorded anything for the series in years, that's a good bet S5 doesn't exist.

Also, re: this edit, per Template:Infobox television, if a series hasn't aired new episodes in a year, we change "present" to the literal date the series "last aired". This is to prevent series from being listed as "present" in perpetuity. In 3 days, this value should be changed. THanks. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 02:24, 23 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Yeah, I misinterpreted it. BeanoMaster (talk) 12:41, 23 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

"and" or "&" ? edit

I've recently edited Bottersnikes and Gumbles and noticed some content at the similarly named Bottersnikes & Gumbles (TV series) page. To avoid duplication of material and future content forks I've made the latter page a redirect to the former. I've explained my reasoning at the relevant talkpage. Simply put the wp article on the books series is Bottersnikes and Gumbles, so I've used "and" instead of "&". If you have a particular aversion to "and" could you detail your rationale at the talk page.shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 05:56, 14 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Bottersnikes and Gumbles (TV series) should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Bottersnikes and Gumbles (TV series) .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Replaceable fair use File:Lindsey Russell CBBC.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Lindsey Russell CBBC.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Train2104 (t • c) 02:50, 16 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

Mario + Rabbids box art edit

Just a quick note, please do not edit war on the box art of Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, the version I uploaded comes directly from Ubisoft's site, and is of a high quality while covering the whole picture, in contrast to which your image shows high compression artifacts clearly visible to the naked eye, and obscures parts of the image, all while also obscuring the image with a thick black border. That your image is of higher resolution does not make good the lossy quality of it, especially since Wikipedia bots will reduce the image to 300px anyway. Furthermore, you seem to have been unable to state the origin of the image, which is required here. Please take care on such things in the future, instead of reverting back valuable edits. Thanks and happy editing! Lordtobi () 20:33, 15 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image File:Cash Trapped title card.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Cash Trapped title card.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. ShakespeareFan00 (talk) 19:28, 4 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Blue Rocket Productions edit

The article Blue Rocket Productions has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Seemingly WP:NN company.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Famousbirthdays.com as a source edit

Hi BeanoMaster . I'm in the process of removing famousbirthdays.com as a source from Wikipedia, because it's not reliable (See Wikipedia:Reliable_sources/Noticeboard/Archive_153#Is_famousbirthdays.com_a_reliable_source_for_personal_information). I noticed that you've added it, and wanted to make sure you understood why it's being removed. If you disagree, let's discuss it. Thanks. --Ronz (talk) 17:50, 29 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguation link notification for October 9 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Richard Jones (magician), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Windsor (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Proposed deletion of George Ezra & Friends edit

Hello, BeanoMaster. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, George Ezra & Friends, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Deletion discussion about George Ezra & Friends edit

Hello, BeanoMaster,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether George Ezra & Friends should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/George Ezra & Friends .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Thanks,

Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 13:48, 4 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguation link notification for April 8 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Spark: A Burning Man Story, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page John Newman (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Extra Camp title card.png edit

Thank you for uploading File:Extra Camp title card.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.

ATTENTION: This is an automated, bot-generated message. This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:02, 5 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
